Delicious authentic Korean food, good price. It is all self service, but that was fine. Really delicious

I really wanted to try this place since it just looked so authentic from the outside - it was worth it! I had the Bibimbap with beef which was quite good. I especially liked that it was steaming hot and the rice was really crunchy. I have to say that the whole dish was quite salty (maybe too salty for some people) but I liked it! As a side note: The place doesn’t have a bathroom and only takes cash which is a little annoying…Also it gets full quite quickly since it is rather small, so you might need to sit outside or do take-away. All in all, if you like Korean food I would recommend this!

I am not versed in Korean cuisine but I did enjoy the food. We were very hungry and made the choice to ignore the over-the-top christian crap all over the walls. Although the food was good, I wouldn't go back.

I recently went to IXTHYS, and it felt like a blessing from above! It’s an authentic Korean restaurant with a touch of Christianity. The beef bibimbap was so tender and flavorful, it was like manna in the desert, and the spicy Ramyun had a fiery kick, much like the burning bush. Every dish reminded me that "every good and perfect gift is from above". Moreover, the price is considered cheap compared to other Korean restaurants. The lady was gracious and welcoming, making the whole experience feel like a heavenly banquet. If you’re looking for a meal that nourishes both body and soul, this is it! Taste and see that the Lord is good". The only downside is that you can only pay with cash and there is no toilet inside.

I've been going to this restaurant for years, but I wasn't as impressed with it the last time I visited, about six months ago. This time I wasn't just not thrilled, I was actually disappointed. My companion, who had also known the store for years and had fond memories of it, was also disappointed. We both had the same dish - my companion had vegetables with beef, I had shrimp. Both dishes hardly tasted like anything (or only sweet and minimally spicy). When asked for salt and any sauce To add seasoning, my companion was given a thick red, slightly spicy paste, but it couldn't really be mixed into the food. Even after salting, my food wasn't really tasty. In addition, three of my shrimp were still grayish in the middle, meaning they weren't cooked properly (but I should have said that). The kimchi was “real,” fermented Chinese cabbage, but it wasn’t nearly as flavorful as it used to be. Overall, the food was carelessly prepared. When I told the waiter Clearing said that the food was completely unseasoned this time, the answer was “Ok”. Unfortunately, I probably won't visit this restaurant again. I have the feeling that the cook is no longer interested after all these years, at least that's how the food tasted - like total listlessness.

Seems like a family restaurant with an authentic vibe. The food's alright, like you'd cook at home, there's definitely better quality ones around. They don't take card. They have no toilet, which is not legal. There's no service. The walls are full of bible verses and bibles lying around, definitely some uncomfortable vibes with regards to that.

We had a very tasty meal here, The drawback is clear: no toilet, but if you know that you can adjust to it and it's not like we're in Big Town Berlin. Then got a croissant from Sironi and used the toilet. To eat: sensationally seasoned. A pleasant spiciness that developed not on the tongue but in the cheek area. The mix of crisp cold salad with warm meat in the stone pot was outstanding.

War lange nicht mehr da gewesen. Heute war das Essen unglaublich salzig ( bin kein Verfechter der salzarmen Küche,) und wie früher auch war die Wartezeit ziemlich lang. Werde wieder lange nicht kommen. Abgesehendavon, dass mich der religiöse Fundamentalismus stört .

I live close by on Goltzstrasse and have been a fan of this little Korean place for 15 years now. Always very good but lately, they have renovated somehow and still no restrooms. I’ve mostly always ordered their incredible BiBimBap. Unfortunately, I have experienced a big change in the consistency in preparing the BiBimBap: very often, it consists of lots of salad (lettuce) leaves and very little of the greens that make this dish so special. On top, it comes often almost cold, not letting enough time for the rice to sizzle! I also observed on several occasions that the quality is definitely better when served to Korean customers. Is there a double standard? I hope not. Anyway, the glorious times were when those wonderful older Korean ladies were doing the cooking! Ixthys! Get back to quality, quantity and high standards! Hmm... a place where you had to eat what was served, and where you had to get scolded by the kitchen lady if you complained about the taste. Why did I have to pay my own money to experience something like that? First of all, it seems a bit awkward to me to ask about the taste. It's too raw a vegetable. It was a store that I was really annoyed by. If that's the case, why did you ask? Later, someone I knew was sick and had to go to this store to deliver, and he got angry at me. I ordered a lot, but they asked me why they wouldn't give me a discount... I'm not the owner, so there's no way to get a discount. Even though I told them to contact the store directly, the store kept blaming me. After that, I never go to this store. A few years later, when content that oppressed human rights and ridiculed sexual minorities was brought into this store, I thought it was worth it.

Oh had the vegan bibimbab and a bori tea. 11.50€ 2€ I know bibimbab with a paprika paste as a “sauce”. There was a “sauce” made from pepper flakes and maybe some paste, but I couldn’t taste it. The portion wasn't big. If you are very hungry, you might not be able to get enough. I thought it tasted good, but not very exciting. But I'm also excited about the other dishes. The staff is very friendly. You have to order yourself at the front, but the food is brought to the table. At the time of my visit in March 2024, there were no Bible verses on the walls.

1. Anti-queer! (See photo) 2. Food is mediocre at best, bibimbap is better in every other Koranic restaurant I have been to. Since when is bibimpab just rice, egg, tofu and cabbage? Every ingredient was saved that could cost something, but an impressive €11.50, ginger tea for €2.50 = bag of teapot, mini bowl of kimchi €2.50 3. No toilet 4. Self-service for everything! You even get your own cutlery, which is by no means reflected in the prices. 5. Kitchen doesn't seem to have a proper vent, at least you're smoked all over the front. - prefers to go to the burrito shop next door, very nice and tasty and has a toilet.

The preparation differs a little from other classics. But the price and size are fair. I like coming here. And like the way you are greeted and looked after here. Mindful and friendly. The food is not tasty at all. Although the price is not lower at all, there are no small appetizers like other Korean restaurants.

Just as a tip, you can't pay by card there and after asking for a receipt it was clear to me why. You'd better judge the food yourself. As a tip, there are enough prayers on the wall!

Weird to be surrounded by biblical texts while you eat delicious Korean food which is on top quite cheap but I don't mind it too much. They only have a small selection but what they offer is great in taste and value. Only few tables so they are quickly full but still worth a visit.

My wife was there first and had already ordered something to eat. Our pup and I arrived 20 minutes later. When I entered the snack bar, I was informed that the puppy had to stay outside (in the cold!!!) - only I was allowed in. Unfortunately, the food was already served on the table, otherwise we would have avoided the snack bar. My wife then ate the food alone while I waited outside with the puppy. According to the statement, the food wasn't as good as we know from other Korean restaurants.

Food was fine, but would have expected a bit more. The kimchi was disappointing. Service was bare minimum and the atmosphere was rather unpleasant. A bit too much Jesus for my taste.

A Korean Jesus Wok, with primarily self service and no beer was a bit too alternative for me. I reckon the experience would have been better as a takeaway.

베를린 가족 여행 중 들른 한국식당.. 가족이 운영하는 듯 보였고 식사하는 동안 현지인이 끊임 없이 들어오더라고요. 음식은 조금 현지화가 된 듯한데.. 맛은 괜찮았고요. 유럽이 거의 그렇지만 물, 밑반찬은 없어서 이점이 조금 아쉬웠네요. 2~3인 테이블 5~6개 있는 조그만한 식당인데 저희는 구글 맵보고 일부러 찾아갔었네요.. 그래서 저도 다른 분들 참고하시라 올려드려요.^^

Vorweg: Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut! Es ist kein Restaurant, es ist ein Imbiss mit SelfService. Wenn man das weiß, kann man da hin gehen. Der überbordende Wandbehang ist in dem kleinen Raum aufdringlich. Die wahllos ausgewählten und an die Wand getackerten und in der Speisekarte verstreuten Texte stören beim Essen. Lieber mit nehmen, denn es schmeckt sehr gut. Der Tofu ist überraschend weich, lecker und in gebratener Form auch weich und schon zu essen.

Ich war sehr überrascht das, ich kann diesen Laden nur weiter empfehlen der mal klassisch Koreanisch Essen mag! Geschmacklich 10 von 10 und sehr weiter zu empfehlen, meine Freundin war sehr überrascht wie gut das Essen dort war. Wir hatten bei das Gericht Bulgogi bestellt mit Huhn, wow!!! Wir werden wieder kommen :)

Perfect for casual dining. The place has a pretty obvious christian background which I found not too difficult to ignore after a few minutes. If you depend on a wheelchair it may get a bit complicated, the place is small.

Als Schwuler bin ich „weiss Gott“ nicht zimperlich. Jedoch habe ich keinen Bock mein Bibimbab unter folgendem Bibelspruch zu essen: „Ich bin der Ewige...Und einem Mann sollst Du nicht beiliegen wie man einem Weib beiliegt: Greuel ist dies.“ Da müsst Ihr in Zukunft auf mich verzichten.

Honestly, I’ve not eaten anywhere as bad as this in Berlin. Firstly, the staff were horribly homophobic (their ethos is heavily based on religion and Catholicism). Secondly, there was no service… we sat ourselves, got our own, menu, the food took very long to come out. Lastly, the food? What food!!! Ordered the chicken with rice, and there was Aa much chicken as you would get in a McDonalds chicken nugget. Do not go here.

The food is very delicious. If you come with a dog be prepared to wait because you are not allowed to sit inside. Outside they only have two tables.

The Bibimi bap was serviceable. Big plus are the homemade banners containing all manner of biblical messages plastered all over the walls! Unfortunately the missed the floor, windows and ceiling as the message of Christ should not be limited to only the walls! Ps big plus if they would come to the table to not only serve the food but also spread the word of Christ - Amen

Food is good. Price is 10.50 for a bibimbap. Size is alright. Too much Christianity for my taste, i remember once the menu was 90% bible and 10% menue, now its about 50/50 Ask for the spicy sauce.

Definitely not the best Korean. Chicken was dry, your dish is served as if you were in a canteen. You have no service, whatsoever, not even a toilet. Super religious place, with no music. Prices are okay but too high for what you get. Would definitely not recommend, especially in a city like Berlin where you can get such good Korean food!

Das Ixthys ist ein kleines, authentisches koreanisches Restaurant in Richtung Imbiss. Es gibt wahnsinnig leckeres Bibimbap im sizzling pot. Man bestellt und bezahlt am Durchgang zur Küche, die ganze Familie kocht mit. Etwas verstörend sind für meinen Geschmack die 100en von Bibelzitaten auf Stoffbannern in Handschrift in rot und schwarz und unterschiedlichen Schriftgrößen. Aber dem leckeren Essen tut das keinen Abbruch. Kleiner Tipp: das Bibimbap muss man nach dem Servieren im Topf noch etwas brutzeln lassen, damit der Reis knusprig und das Essen durchgehend heiß wird. Update: immernoch gut

Food was amazing. Like really, really good. It's just that the whole wall being plastered in gigantic posters with handwritten bible verses, and the whole menu being plastered with bible verses as well...it's creepy as hell. I'm not taking away and points for that, but it made me really uncomfortable personally. Also the menu stating Kimchi might cure cancer...yeah, that's a far stretch. But again, the food's bloody amazing, and that's what you go there for.

Great place in Schoneberg. Local is small and you might not get a table on crowded hours. Menu is complete, It included lots of korean most famous dishes un both, meat and vegetarian option. Price is good for quality and quantity!!

店內位置不多，沒有提供廁所，用餐時間可能需要排隊等待，餐點算好吃道地且多樣化，價格不貴，服務也不差，但是是自助式的，用完餐要自行收到櫃檯。小缺點是排油煙設備較不佳，可能會有油煙味沾在身上。

Das beste Bibimbap und Kimchi, was ich bis jetzt gegessen habe. Das Essen ist etwas scharf, wer es nicht mag, kann dazu sagen, dass es mild zubereitet werden soll. Der Laden ist super klein und kann etwas verstörend sein mit dem ganzen Zitaten an der Wand. Aber es ist auf jeden Fall ein unvergleichliches Erlebnis. Es ist übrigens Selbstbedienung angesagt. Ich kann den Laden uneingeschränkt und wärmstens empfehlen!

Das wohl älteste koreanische Restaurant in Berlin. Die Einrichtung ist eher einfach, das Essen aber superlecker. Sehr zu empfehlen. Den Verdauungsspaziergang kann man dann über den Winterfeld-Markt machen.

Cozy hole in the wall moms and pops shop. The food felt westernized for the local audience and maybe using cheaper ingredients to save on cost - for example there was iceberg lettuce instead of the typical bean sprouts in the bibimbap. And generally the topping in the bibimbap was sparse.

Mir sind die guten Bewertungen ebenso ein Rätsel. Die Kellnerin an der Diele hat meine Bedienung mürrisch entgegengenommen. Mein vegetarisches Bibimbap für 10,50€ viel recht einfach aus und war eine kleine Portion (Schüssel halbvoll) - das versprochene „asiatische Gemüse“ bestand lediglich aus Zucchini und ein paar Salatblättern. Das tofu war kalt und schlabberig..hätte gerne kurz angebraten werden können?! Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier definitiv nicht!!

Ich liebe dieses kleine koreanische Restaurant. Ich esse immer Bipimbap, es ist so lecker. Vorsicht: scharf! Ich sitze immer gerne draußen und beobachte die Leute, während ich esse und ein Kännchen Jasmintee trinke. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Cash only!

Wer koreanisches Essen liebt, muss hier unbedingt vorbeikommen. Super freundliche Menschen. Allerdings sollte man keine Phobie gegen Bibeltexte haben. Davon gibt es reichlich an den Wänden. Da ich zu Hause auch gern in der Bibel lese, habe ich mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Keiner wird hier bedrängt oder missioniert. Leute, seid tolerant! Wenn ich Koreanerin wäre, würde ich sagen "Futtern wie bei Muttern". Ich komme wieder, dann mit meiner anderen Tochter.

Schwer einen Platz zu bekommen, aber wenn man mal Glück hat, lohnt sich's. Essen nach Haufrauen Art, das einfach das Herz wärmt.

Hands down THE BEST bibimbap in town! Been going here often since the past 3 years and the taste has consistently been amazing. Have tried bibimbap from a lot of othe places in the city, but nothing has ever come close. This is not a fine dine, fancy restaurant, but rather a small (self-service) place. Can only pay by cash. A little friendly warning about the writings on the walls (😅), I choose to ignore them and rather focus on the food! 😂
