Unfortunately, the quality of this restaurant is declining. A while ago, we had hair baked into our pizza, and several times the pizza was burnt, for example, or ingredients had been forgotten/changed. Nevertheless, we gave the restaurant another chance. This time, contrary to our explicit order, onions were put on the pizza (it can happen). When we asked the restaurant when we picked up our order whether there were really no onions on the pizza, they simply wanted to remove the onions and give us the pizza as is. When we explicitly asked for a new pizza to be made because of an allergy/intolerance, we were told we would actually get a new pizza without onions. When we got home, it was clear that there were still lots of onion pieces left on the pizza and that no new ones had been made. So it was uneatable. That is definitely not okay! A real shame.

It took them 10 minutes to bring the lahmacun from the kitchen. It was ice cold. The employee seemed completely overwhelmed and couldn't even roll the lahmacun properly. He merely folded it on both sides. Not recommended.

I don't think it's right not to take customer requests into account (hygiene). The kebab skewer was cleaned with a rag and probably a dishwasher (without gloves), the meat was cut an hour before (it was cold, despite your microwave), he cleans the grill and sticks his hand in the bread and then wants to make me my kebab... (without washing his hands)🤦🏼. I addressed it quietly and reasonably, but I was still given a hard time. I was told I could leave the shop. But the other friendly kebab man intervened. I'm grateful to him because I was hungry and needed something quickly, but I won't be coming back for a while. The discussion was more than unnecessary and embarrassing for me. There's a German saying: The customer is king, and I didn't feel any of that. Instead, I got comments saying I shouldn't make a fuss, that he only touched the fat from the grill (while cleaning), and that the meat is greasy, too, and that contact isn't a problem. It's possible that MAYBE there wasn't any cleaning agent on it, but I still don't want anyone touching the bread inside and out with greasy hands. I showed my respect and addressed it reasonably. I hope you can handle my criticism here and do better in the future. All the best to you.

The doner kebab on Friday was as dry as a desert. The bread was far too thick and dry (probably a few days old). The salad had no flavor, nothing more to add. The worst doner kebab I've ever eaten👎 Price: €9.50... The doner kebab wasn't worth €3.

I've known this restaurant for almost three decades. Here you can get the best doner kebabs in Germany. These are still handcrafted by master kebabists. There are only a handful of them left in Germany. The doner kebab costs a bit more than elsewhere, but you get top quality. It's definitely more than worth the money. Every time I'm in Hamm, I make sure to come here. It's like an addiction. Once you've tried this doner kebab, you won't eat anywhere else. I hope it stays around for a very long time, at least as long as I live. 😁 A thumbs up from me. 👍

The kebab had almost only salad, hardly any meat.

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner, and the yogurt was absolutely disgusting and tasted like mold. After we spoke to the staff, they didn't take us seriously and told us it was normal. Then a hair from my boyfriend's food was found, and we spoke to the staff again. They told us it wasn't a single hair from them, without an apology or anything. Truly unprofessional.

I always come back because of the doner kebab plate, it's really great and not to forget the ayran, the best in Hamm.

I've been eating here for over 15 years, getting deliveries, and I'm always really happy! This isn't a Turkish restaurant with ready-made products, fake food, etc. Everything is made from scratch here. The meat on the skewer is seasoned, put together, and put on the skewer, just as it has been for countless years! It's wonderfully lean, very tasty, and doesn't drip with fat!!!! I've tried a few things at various supposedly great Turkish restaurants and left the leftovers on my plate. Here, everything is cooked, baked, and grilled from scratch. The tomato sauce tastes delicious, and the vegetarian and meat dishes are all super tasty. It's clean. I really enjoy coming here with good friends. We've always been treated very kindly. I've never experienced being treated unkindly, even when it's busy. However, I will say one thing: PEOPLE WORK HERE, AND ANYONE WHO DON'T TREAT THESE RESTAURANT EMPLOYEES WITH RESPECT, KINDNESS, AND COURTEOUSNESS CAN'T EXPECT VERY FRIENDLY TREATMENT. Manners are the key. But many people lack that! Saying hello is the least you can do, and goodbye or bye-bye. These people are not doormats and are super helpful and friendly.

I've been going here for years. Doner kebabs, kebab plates, grilled dishes and especially the pizzas and pides are an insider tip. Service was super nice, I've known them for a long time. The food is always ready quickly, but of course it can take a while if all hell breaks loose. Of course I understand that. The kebab has been produced in-house since the 90s and that makes the restaurant unique in all of Hamm. I'm glad he's not raising the price, even though making it yourself must be very expensive Comparison to ready-made kebab with endless chemicals. Always Istanbul.

Actually, my favorite kebab for years, none tastes as good as this one, BUT in the last few months it has gotten so bad, the bread is no longer fresh, you always have to ask if the bread is from today and I find that very rude!!! Salad is not always fresh either, you also have to ask.

I don't like it either. When we get to the Allee Center we drive there to eat afterwards. Once my wife and I ordered Işkembe soup and they said we would have to wait a bit and it would be made and it would be served warm.... what came then someone else would have called the cellar and said let's try some of the soup.. The soup was cold, not warm, not even lukewarm, it came cold... And that's why the kebab didn't taste good

Friday evening I took a kebab bag with me again after a long time...it will be the last time for a long time. First impression when you come in: terrible. Tables and chairs were arranged all over the place and were not set. When we got to the order counter, there were 2 men sitting at the table...none of them paid us any attention. When I asked if we could get anything else to eat, one of the gentlemen stood up without saying a word. The counter looked dirty, there was leftover food on the floor behind the counter. First thought: escape!! Second thought: hunger. So ordered three kebabs to take away. When we unpacked at home and I removed the aluminum foil, the bread was already crumbling towards me. Definitely not fresh anymore!! It was also way too thick, little meat (and that too was just dry and very spicy), hardly any lettuce and a small dollop of sauce. For this “insolence” we paid 6.50 euros... each!! Well, the real problem started about 2 hours later. Diarrhea...all night!! Maybe the health department should be made aware of this, because in the reviews I just read there were several reports of gastrointestinal complaints after eating food there.... My conclusion: NEVER AGAIN!!!

We went to break the iftar and we were very pleased. Even though every table was full, the service was friendly and faultless. Food, especially Iskender 5 plus 5, thank you!

The food is tasty, but in winter there is a grill smell in the restaurant's main entrance. In summer there are still a few tables on the terrace. I think that's good... but there are also seats on the other side...

My father-in-law wanted to celebrate his birthday in the “restaurant”, he reserved 2 tables so that the whole family could sit comfortably and eat delicious food. When we got there, everyone ordered (approx. 25 people) and the food came after about 1.5 hours. First of all, I eat outside a lot and have eaten almost all over the country, but what I experienced here doesn't fit under any cow's skin. The men all sat in a row, the wives facing each other. The men all ordered Iskender, the women a mixed grill plate. When the food came I knew straight away, the look was very repulsive. I started eating (hadn't eaten all day) and realized something was wrong. The sauce on the iskender or the meat smelled unpleasant. The sauce had nothing to do with an iskender sauce, because the original is really “tomatoey and thin”. I was brutally hungry, I'm not picky at all when I'm hungry, I'll eat almost anything, but here I had reached my limits. The food was terribly bad, the quality, preparation, appearance and taste are an insult to me. In any case, no one ate everything, only the children, they only had fries and they were ok. I wouldn't even eat there for money. In my opinion, this is the worst kebab shop in the country. The kebab skewer looks very strange, and that's how it tastes. Then asking for premium prices is an absolute disgrace. Even if I were dying of hunger, I wouldn't eat anything and I mean that seriously. He would have to give his customers money so that they would eat his strange kebab. One star is even too much.

Very bad restaurant that I have not seen in my life, service zero

Best kebab, couldn't find a better one even in Berlin. Meat simply tastes great and doesn't taste as run of the mill as in any other kebab shop. The bread is soft and not toasted, which I like much better. In addition to kebab, there is of course also other food here. My wife loves the eggplant goulash.

I was recently at the Istanbul Restaurant in Hamm and have to say that the food was unfortunately disappointing. The İskender Kebap didn't convince me at all - the meat was dry and the taste was far away from what you would expect from a good İskender. My plate of meatballs, eggplant and pieces of meat was overall okay, but only at a satisfactory level. It lacked the spice and sophistication to really convince. The only highlight of the evening was the rice pudding, which was really delicious. It was clear here that the potential was there, but unfortunately the rest of the food still had a lot of room for improvement.

I always order a “mixed plate” to take away there. In addition to meat from the kebab animal, this contains a selection of different dishes from the display. Overall, it's a very good portion to fill you up and very tasty.

Prices were expensive, presentation was bad. They brought stale bread and wilted salad to the table as food. They brought 5 pieces of meat to my order of small portion lamb skewers. I think you are getting unfair profit based on 12 Euros.

I would love to give zero stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. I admit I didn't eat, so I can't rate the food, but I deliberately left the restaurant because I've never been treated so unkindly. We came into the store with 5 girls and weren't greeted or anything. We wanted to sit down beforehand because we didn't have a menu yet. He asked if we wanted a kebab, if so we didn't have to sit down. When I said we didn't want any kebab, he just said in a whisper in Turkish: ne yiyecekseniz artık.. and "whatever you want to eat". In general, the manner and the way we were treated made us girls leave the store straight away.

It's been the only kebab for over 15 years that doesn't taste up to the absolute standard. I think the grumpy staff is part of the store's charm and has never been different. But the kebab is always top 👍🏻

We waited in the front row for more than 30 minutes for our order to be taken, neither the order was taken nor was anything asked. The staff's approach to the queue forming at the back was, "THERE IS NO ONE GOING!" It seems they were waiting for us to go 😅What a great business approach (!). The number of tables inside must have satisfied them because they didn't want any more customers. Will we go again? -Never !

Best kebab in all of North Rhine-Westphalia. However, we have often eaten other things there such as kofta, meat/girl platter, steak etc. but this was always a failure. Steak completely limp, not really cooked through and not tasty and also overpriced, so the price/performance ratio for the steak doesn't fit. Yes, to get the kebab, never eat other things there again! Waiting times are sometimes long but still manageable.

Leider keine positive Rezension. Davon mal abgesehen, dass ich den oder die Chefs des Ladens noch nie seitdem ich den Laden kenne ( seit fast 20 Jahren) freundlich erlebt habe, außer das Servicepersonal, bin ich fast schon schockiert was für ein Preis für eine Portion Reis mit Gemüse in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt verlangt wurde. Satte 13 Euro. Meiner Meinung nach unverschämt hoch. Für diesen Preis erhalte ich frisch zubereitetes Essen in sehr guter und reichhaltiger Qualität wie zum Beispiel in einem Gut Sternholz mit absolut hochwertigem Standard. Ich habe mich sehr ungerecht und wie irgendeine Dahergelaufene gefühlt und nicht wie ein geschätzter Gast. Meiner Meinung nach ein sehr unsympathischer Empfang. Ciao mit V und nie wieder.

Das Essen, vor allem der Dönerteller ist besonders gut. Die Kellner sind freundlich und nehmen die Bestellungen auch rechtzeitig auf. Somit ist der Service auch sehr gut. Außerdem gibt es für Menschen mit Kindern eine Spieleecke. Allerdings ist das Restaurant sehr alt, was man an den Stühlen und Tischen auch sieht. Das macht das Restaurant natürlich etwas weniger sympathisch, da auch der Boden irgendwie fast immer klebrig ist. Ich gehe da mit meiner Familie oft zum Essen hin und wir sind allerdings bis auf kleine Details immer zufrieden. Das Gute an dem Restaurant ist, dass es in drei Teile unterteilt ist: Einmal für die Menschen, die nur eine Dönertasche usw. essen, dann der Teil, wo man Tellergerichte usw. isst und der dritte Teil, wo man auch draußen essen kann. Das ist natürlich sehr gut, denn man hat viele Möglichkeiten, sich hinzusetzen. Das Essen kommt in guten Portionen und die Preise sind dafür auch angemessen. Im Großen und Ganzen ist das Restaurant empfehlenswert. Man sollte auf jeden Fall mal dort essen gehen, um auch einen persönlichen Eindruck zu haben.

An dem Tag, an dem wir hier waren, war das Fleisch im Döner sehr zäh und hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Mag sein dass es an anderen Tagen anders ist, aber es gibt in der Umgebung ja genügend andere Möglichkeiten gut und lecker Essen zu gehen.

Unfreundliches Personal und lange Wartezeit. Mussten 45 Minuten auf 3 Dönerteller warten. Die kamen auch noch 10min versetzt an so das wir nicht zusammen essen konnten. Geschmacklich ganz gut.

Seit Jahren meine Lieblingsanlaufstelle für Döner. Die hausgemachte Tomatensoße ist einfach ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal mit dem qualitativen Fleisch zusammen. Mein absolutes Highlight bei Döner. Dementsprechend vor Ort das Gericht „Iskender“ sehr empfehlenswert. Ich liebe es.

Auf Wünsche wurde nicht eingegangen, lag wahrscheinlich daran, dass man mich auf Grund mangelndem deutsch nicht verstanden hat, aber der Höhepunkt war, dass mein Essen in der Mikrowelle warm gemacht wurde?!?! Nie wieder!!!

Fiyatlar abartı değil bu da güzel. Ama hizmetle ilgili hiç bir iyi yönünü bulamadım. Bir kere adı İstanbul olan bir restoranın hedef kitlesi öncelikle Türk müşterilerdir diye düşünüyorum - ki Tezgahta duran arkadaş ve Mekanın sahibi olan amca Türk- o zaman servisi de İngilizcesi bile olmayan bir alman gencine yaptırmazsın değil mi? Aldığım büyük şişe maden suyunu yanımda götürmek için garsondan veto yiyip, amcamızdan ricacı olmak tuhaftı mesela... Çok da uzatmayayım. Hamm'da iseniz ve lezzetli birşeyler arıyorsanız gidilir. Servisi ve Hizmeti iyileştirmeleri naçizane tavsiyemdir.

Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Man muss auch nicht lang warten. Einrichtung und Ambiente ist, sagen wir mal sehr einfach. Nicht so gemütlich. Essen ist eher Durchschnitt, da gibt es in Hamm definitiv bessere türkische Restaurants. Portionen sind völlig ausreichend, aber nicht ganz günstig, vermutlich auf Grund der hohen Energiekosten. Aber die Situation ist Moment allgegenwärtig. Der Preis hat meine Bewertung nicht beeinflusst. Ob ich nochmal wiederkomme... Ich glaube eher nicht.
