Very tasty Greek dishes and an extensive menu. The interior is more modern (quite warm in summer), but there is an outdoor area. The service is very friendly. Reservations are recommended, but you may have to wait if the outdoor seating is full. The value for money is excellent.

Very different, depending on the day, it can range from one* to five*. Addendum 07/24: Stabilized at almost 5, we now have a well-coordinated staff and the kitchen performance is consistently good.

We ate here for the first time today and we realized that we have never had such high quality and freshly prepared food served in a Greek restaurant. Even the mixed salad with feta couldn't be topped! Whether it was minced steak, souflaki or gyros...everything was perfectly seasoned and tasted so wonderful! A big compliment to the kitchen! But the service was also very friendly and attentive! We recommend this restaurant 100% and will definitely come back!

Best gyros (and fries)!!! Souvlaki, bifteki, gyros metaxa, baked sheep's cheese, haloumi and meatballs...mega The food is great! And the service is really great, nice, funny. The audience is mostly “locals” but that doesn’t matter. Everyone is welcome!

Very tasty food, price/performance ratio is also right

We've eaten here several times and have never had anything to complain about. The waiters are consistently friendly and very attentive, the food is always fresh and delicious, and special requests are never a problem.

The restaurant was very busy on Sunday evening. But the staff had everything under control very well.

One of the few Greek restaurants where the food leaves the stage of necessity and becomes a pleasure...

We were full of anticipation, but what awaited us here was just a disgrace. As soon as we sat down outside, the waiter came with a dismissive remark: “Are you sure you want to sit here and not come back in after 10 minutes? We don’t run back and forth.” A welcome definitely looks different! Despite this rude introduction, we have already ordered our drinks. When we asked if there was only beef in the moussaka, we were told that it was beef. Then again he said it was too mixed with pork - just like almost everything on the menu. And all of this in an undertone. We then said it was just a question. As we were leaving, we were simply replied snidely: “It’s a Greek restaurant.” This disrespectful and arrogant manner continued throughout the entire stay. We felt completely unwelcome, not least because our origins were apparently an issue for the waiter - a completely unnecessary remark that made the entire experience even more unpleasant. Ultimately we decided not to eat there and just pay for our drinks. We pointed out his unfriendly manner to him directly, but instead of showing insight, he just continued to ramble on. Conclusion: If you value friendliness, respect and honesty, you should definitely avoid this shop.

With the most authentic Greek in Cologne! Food great, service great, the atmosphere is great. The octopus in particular is incredibly good.

This is probably the best Greek restaurant in Köln... We had dinner here during a busy time of the evening. Despite that the service was really fast and the food was great. Service starts with complementary salad and follows with your order. Meat dishes are excellent so is white meat like chicken. I've had gyros with Gouda cheese which was really tasty. İt comes with generous french fries and overall it's enough to satisfy a hungry man/woman. The white wine we had was also really smooth. To top it off they bring you complimentary liquor and ouzo ! To sum it up you can't go wrong with this choice.

I went to the restaurant on 01/01/2025, in the evening, without a reservation. We met a restaurant full of Greeks, and the waiter was very nice and managed to provide us with a table for 2 people. Although it was busy, the waiters took our order quickly. We didn't know what to choose, so we asked the waiter and he served us with salad and a plate for 2 people. The platter was large, full of choice dishes and arrived promptly. Excellent service, tasty food, unique experience and low prices.

Beautifully designed restaurant and friendly, attentive service. Unfortunately the food here is not good. My fish was cooked too long, my husband didn't have enough fries compared to the over-baked gyro and the dessert was well prepared but lackluster.

No longer what it used to be, in my opinion mass processing.

Totally dry food for such expensive food and there is no ouzo anymore and you have to pay extra for bread 🤦🏻‍♂️ the Italians are more generous ✌🏻never again

Had such a good diner here with my family. The food was incredibly tasty. It was quick even tho the restaurant was full. The service was insanely fast and super friendly. Litterely the best Greek i ever had 10/10 would recommend to eat here and taste it for yourself. I would go here everyday but i live 400KM away🤣 much love❤️

Everything just fits. Service is top. Every employee is really excited and has fun at work. The ambience and music give you a holiday feeling and the food is simply delicious. I can only recommend it!

Very pleasant restaurant with very friendly staff. We felt like we were in good hands, were able to eat comfortably and had a lovely evening there. UPDATE: My husband and I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary here, luckily we had reserved it was very crowded outside so we went in and had to wait a long time. Until we were noticed for drinks and also for the food, which took a long time because of how busy it was. People at the neighboring table waited 30 minutes for the ice cream. There were only two of us and we had to wait longer than at the tables with more people. The food tasted good but my bifteki was too dry. I would have liked to wash it down with another drink but unfortunately it didn't come. When the waiter finally came and asked us if our drinks weren't there yet, we didn't want to have them anymore and just pay and it's a shame the friendliness and attentiveness of the service that I knew before was lost here. We will go elsewhere in the future.

We have been coming here for several years and are always amazed at how friendly the employees are, no matter how busy and how much stress there is. Our food was always very tasty and the quality was consistently good. We are good eaters, but we usually can't manage everything, so we often think about whether there's too much starter... if you complain about the portions being too small... it would be nice if there was a little table decoration outside, such as: There would be bright sets or similar - it's very dark under the awning anyway and the plain gray tables look a bit sad.

We were at Irodion again yesterday. When I looked at the menu, I immediately noticed that the prices had almost doubled. The portions are also really manageable! A big man can't get enough of it! Things used to be different! My friend ate liver and now has food poisoning. I informed the restaurant immediately so that they could check the liver in the kitchen so that others didn't get sick. Unfortunately, I was brushed off on the phone with the words that their liver was always going well. We are really very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back! It's a shame, because it was always our favorite Greek restaurant for special days or in the summer for nice hours in the beer garden. I can only advise against this place!

The first and last time the meat wasn't good, it wasn't warm, the food was cold and the waiter said you could have the food warmed up but fry the meat again in the shower. That's not possible. What should I eat raw meat? No comment. The star is just because otherwise the page won't post!

It used to be really good and recommended. A lot has changed due to the constantly changing kitchen staff from Albania and Co. But it was a nice time with the chef. 😊⚘ The service is courteous and you should bring a lot of time...and money. After Corona everything is a little more expensive, difficult times. It takes a little longer for the food to arrive and if something doesn't work right away you can let us know and it will be cooked through a little more. But overall nice, I would say.

The staff is friendly, quick, helpful, competent and has their hearts in the right place.

We always enjoy coming to Irodion for a delicious meal.
