As always a great experience, the food was excellent and the service was great as always. We always enjoy coming here.

I liked it very much. There were dogs there too. Everything is just great.

I was here for a beer last night and today for my silver wedding anniversary. I can tell you, very nice atmosphere, a super good team and great service. 👍👍👍

We ate very well. The fries were very tasty, as was everything else. The service is very attentive because the boss has a very good eye and does this with passion. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back.

Cohesive location. Large inner courtyard that is used as a beer garden and protects smokers from getting sick 😅 In the inner courtyard there are areas with solid wooden roofing on the inner courtyard wall, so you can sit protected from the wind if necessary. The open-air tables can be protected from rain or sun by an almost hurricane-proof T-shaped marquise. The tables are spread out in exactly the right proportions so that you can connect without stepping on each other's toes. The cuisine offers a wide range of Greek specialties, also for vegetarians. But the spice comes from the staff together with the boss. Super friendly, always attentive and ready to go the extra mile. The wedding to which I was recently invited here was a complete success both organizationally and with plenty of scope for individual design. What particularly struck me about the staff was that even though one or two service staff had turned a glass or something similar into a unique puzzle during the hectic pace of business, no one from the staff had ever shown any anger about it. At least that suggests to me that the working atmosphere also seems to be great. I also think it's really important, as someone who has been involved in workplace culture research 🎓. It also makes the atmosphere nicer for the guests 😃

We had several people eat here. It was very tasty. There is a large selection of Greek dishes, all freshly prepared. The starters such as tzatziki and eggplant salad are also made in-house. The location is really pretty. What I missed were the chair cushions outside. The staff is very on the ball and also very friendly.

Mediocre, unfortunately no more. I've given it two chances now, but unfortunately I didn't have much of a positive reaction both times. Food is okay, unfortunately there are few typical Greek dishes. Quality average. Service is difficult, sometimes you have to remind people several times. Waiting times for food are outrageously long. No apology, no accommodation. Price/performance ratio doesn't fit.

Very tasty bifteki. The portion is definitely enough. The tzatziki and tyrokafteri starters are also very tasty and recommended. Unfortunately, the fries didn't blow me away. These were hardly seasoned. This could be improved with paprika powder etc. The service is friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately you have to wait a relatively long time (10-15 minutes) until you are asked for drinks. I've been there four times and each time you had to draw attention to yourself so you could order something to drink in advance.

Very cozy courtyard, friendly service. Infinitely long waiting times for the food - more than an hour for the main course is not possible!! Quality of the food mixed: great bifteki, grill plate ok.

We were here spontaneously on Sunday and it won't be the last time. Very friendly staff, great food and great ambience.

We only entered the tavern once and that would probably have been the last time. The place was busy, but the wait for our food was unbearably long. The portions were okay, but what really bothered me was the fact that the usher, possibly the owner himself, only attended to a single table. Guests who arrived much later than us were served their food 30 minutes earlier. Auweiler clique?

It was our first time eating at the tavern in the Pohlhof and it won't be the last time we've been there. The food tasted incredibly good and the portions were more than enough. The service staff always asked us whether everything was OK and were very friendly. The quiet and rustic ambience makes you feel like you're on vacation for a short moment. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

Das Essen im Pohlhof ist ausnahmslos lecker....es schmeckt einfach alles.... Alle sind durchweg bemüht und fleißig. Ein Lächeln bekommt man hier immer und die Zwischenmenschlichkeit kommt nicht zu kurz....tolles Personal...immer freundlich auch bei Stress.... Hier wird noch familiär gekocht ...ich mag es sehr gern....die kretanischen Kartoffeln sollte Jeder mal gegessen haben ;) Zudem ist der schöne Innenhof sooooo gemütlich....

We were very disappointed after all the good reviews we read. We had to wait 95 minutes for the food, even though the Pohlhof was only 50% full at these times. The food was poorly seasoned and sometimes only lukewarm. Some of the meat was dry and fried for too long, some of the lamb was not cooked properly. The amount of meat was far too little compared to the amount of fries (grill plate). The fries were hardly salted at all and tasted like a flavor enhancer. The side salad had been carelessly covered in a ready-made sauce and had a slight fishy taste. This evening was a disappointment for us and we certainly won't eat here again. It's a shame, but just ambience isn't enough.

We have already celebrated (confirmations) several times in the tavern in Pohlhof. We recently went to the tavern again and celebrated our birthday. The weather was ideal for sitting outside, the courtyard is really beautiful. The Thomas family gave us good advice in advance and made good suggestions on how the festival could be really well rounded. The ambience, food and service were all perfect and we and our guests were able to enjoy a great evening! Thank you for that.

Very pleasant beer garden in the courtyard of a former square farm, so quite protected from the wind. The food was very good, but it could have been a little spicier, but since it was our first time there, I would let you know in advance next time... It wouldn't be the last time we were there. 🥗

Delicious Greek classics (no gyros). The meze plates are highly recommended for sharing as an appetizer. They are always put together a little differently. Nice atmosphere and attentive service.

Since my review (approx. 1.5 years old) was not published for reasons that are inexplicable to me, here is a second attempt: Except for the little things, it's a really great restaurant and a lovely evening. We ate at Pohlhof for the first time today. We spontaneously stopped here on the way from Cologne to Sinthern and asked for a table. Even though the restaurant was busy, we only had to wait a short time until we were offered a free table. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, which is (even) nicer from a local perspective. The young team was very nice and attentive. The food (even the children's portions) was also very tasty. The lamb chops (which are “mistakenly” offered there as rack of lamb) were grilled to perfection. Perfect! The pork medallions in Metaxa sauce were also very good. The same applies to the children's schnitzel and the delicious desserts. We didn't like the surcharge for the pre-packaged portions of ketchup and mayonnaise for the children's meal, which seemed to be well calculated at 7.50. Nevertheless, we were charged 0.50 each for the two bags, or a total of one euro extra. In our opinion, something like this has to be “dropped” or taken into account in the total costs. We also found the surcharge for the requested “upgrade” to the lamb side dish to be excessive. Instead of rosemary potatoes, “Cretan potatoes” were ordered. We were informed when we ordered that this meant a surcharge. So far everything is good. When we billed, we saw that an additional €2.50 had been charged for this. Considering that the rosemary potatoes were omitted for this, the sum seemed a bit too high to us. If we, like the other guests, had perhaps been offered an ouzo as a nightcap (at least that's what it looked like from a distance), this might have compensated us ;-) But this is neither a trigger nor a real point of criticism. All in all, a great restaurant that we will definitely visit again. Maybe then without the unnecessary/excessive surcharges. Nevertheless, we thank you for the nice evening and now drink a glass of our own ouzo. Jamas!

Rustic Greek restaurant with the best quality meat, where we are regular guests! Everything is always fresh and perfectly prepared to the point. Great menu and still special offers on the boards. Warm host and always friendly and attentive service staff. Annotation: Gaffel Kölsch fresh from the tap 😉!!! Conclusion: Best Greek with the best hosts in Cologne and the surrounding area in our opinion. Great ambience. Im pohlhof kann man sich nur wohlfühlen. Lecker essen und super nette Bedienung. Der Inhaber ist höflich und zuvorkommend. Ob im Sommer draußen oder im Winter drinne im alten Gemäuer ist die Stimmung einfach toll.

Überarbeitung nach einem Jahr: Ist immer noch super :) Original: Eigentlich bleibe ich bei meinen Rezensionen sehr objektiv und auch ein bisschen kritisch, muss aber wirkich mal eine Ausnahme machen. Das Essen hier ist wirkich top! Bei meinem Gericht stimmte einfach alles, es war wirkich perfekt. Die Soße war frisch und selbst gemacht, das Schnitzel hatte eine gewellte Panade, die Kroketten waren lecker. Es gibt wirkich nichts auszusetzen. Ich hoffe sehr, dass das Lokal über die Jahre nicht an Qualität verliert, denn es bietet meiner Meinung nach das leckerste Essen in der ganzen Umgebung. Zudem sind die Preise absolut angemessen.

Wir waren am Sonntag zu einer Taufe in der Taverne. Es war echt Super. Mega Ambiente. Das Bufett war auch der Knaller. Der Service war auch Super. Ich war ganz bestimmt nicht das letzte mal hier. Demnächst auf jeden Fall zum a la carte Geschäft.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal im Pohlhof und habe mich für die Baby Kalamari (€ 9,80) und das Souzoukia Spezial (€ 18,50) entschieden. Beides war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren auch nicht gerade klein! Der Hof ist sehr idyllisch und der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich komme auf jeden Fall noch einmal wieder. Update: Der Teufelsspieß und der Grillteller sind auch sehr lecker!😋

Eine urige Location - sehr aufmerksamer Service. Das Essen hat uns generell gut geschmeckt. Lediglich der Beilagensalat war ein bisschen öde... Das Fleisch war sehr lecker - leider war der Spieß vom Grillteller etwas trocken. Insgesamt waren wir ziemlich zufrieden und werden gerne nach dem Betriebs Urlaub wiederkommen....

Eine Kombination aus guter Küche, tolles Flair und nettem Service (der leider etwas überfordert ist bzw wirkt) insgesamt hätte ich 4 Sterne vergeben allerdings muss ich einen dicken Stern wegen der Toiletten Situation abziehen. 4 Toiletten und nur eine kann man nutzen....das geht leider gar nicht und es ist schon sehr lange so. Paar Euro in die Hand nehmen und die Tür reparieren lassen und mam hat schon 2 Toiletten. Was hinter den beiden dauerhaft abgeschlossenen Türen ist kann ich leider nicht beurteilen aber auch das geht einfach nicht. Eigentlich müsste ich noch einen Stern dafür abziehen

Gemütliches Gartenrestaurant mit einer tollen Küche und vernünftigen Preisen

Wir durften in der Taverne eine Babyparty ausrichten. Man ist uns mit allem unheimlich entgegen gekommen. Super Service, sehr leckeres Essen und schöne Räumlichkeiten. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder. Nochmals Danke für den tollen Tag

Ein tolles Restaurant. Das Essen kam in einem guten Zeitabstand zur Bestellung und hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Mich hat gefreut das trotz Kindern und viel durcheinander in unseren Bestellungen der Service top blieb und immer das richtige serviert wurde. Absolut eine gute Entscheidung dort Essen zu gehen.

Grillteller war lecker,der Salat leider im Dressing ertränkt. Kellner sehr nett aber die Kellnerin überfordert und man sollte ihr erklären das man die Finger nicht in die Salatschüssel steckt beim servieren

Sehr unfreundlich ( besonders dieses junge Mädchen) steht mit Handy vor mir und schaut mich nicht mal an beim reden. Wir waren viele Jahre da essen und zufrieden aber jetzt ist es eine Zumutung. Nie mehr wieder!

Wir haben heute Mittag den Geburtstag meiner Frau mit 11 Gästen im Pohlhof gefeiert. Das immer freundliche Personal hat alles super zeitnah und schnell serviert, so dass niemand auf sein Essen oder die Getränke warten musste. Über die Qualität und die Quantität brauch ich hier ja wohl nichts mehr zu schreiben: Einfach SPITZE!! Da wir wiederholt im Pohlhof waren können wir uns glatt als Stammkunden bezeichnen.

Sehr empfehlenswert, sehr nette Mitarbeiter, leckeres und frisches Essen, gute Auswahl, Portionen sind reichhaltig. Sehr gerne wieder 😊
