Absolutely fantastic! Intense flavor and authentic cuisine! We had a truly wonderful meal here. The butter chicken was wonderfully creamy, perfectly seasoned, and just right: not too spicy, not too mild, simply aromatically spot on. The rice was fluffy, and the portions were generous. The fried dumplings as an appetizer (with the two chutneys) were crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and a powerful combination of texture and taste. Exactly what you expect when you want to not just eat Indian food, but truly savor it. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. A place where you'll want to linger.

Unassuming from the outside, but the food is absolutely fantastic! Everything is organic, all ingredients come directly from India, and cooked and served with a lot of passion. We'll definitely be back... I recommend reserving a table in advance :-):-) It's really busy.

I came to Germany Halle City for spending my Holiday for 2 weeks. I found this amazing restaurant..the best german restaurant we got the real taste of India.Highly recommended.All food were very tasty. Chicken curry,Garlic nan were my favourite I also got complimentary red onion and pappad.All staffs were really helpful excellent service. Will recommend to all my friends

Not recommended! We waited almost 1.5 hours for our food. No one noticed that anyone had empty glasses, and the food was mediocre, even a bit oversalted in places.

Great! We've loved Indian spices and food since our trip to India about 20 years ago. So we're very happy that Halle, with its Himalayan flair, continues to delight us with its delicacies. Great value for money, very friendly staff, the chef and manager are top-notch, and the ambiance is outstanding. We'd be happy to recommend it. Just please don't all come at once if we want to enjoy it in peace! 🌝

Was here for the second time. As the stars say, everything is just right here. Just be careful with parking. It's best to drive to the Ritterhaus car park. Towing frenzy financed privately by residents and landlords ruined the evening of several restaurant visitors on that day alone.

The Himalayan India restaurant in Halle an der Saale impresses with its extremely tasty food, which impresses with authentic spices and careful preparation. The ambience is less Indian and more rustic, which tones down the cultural character somewhat. Overall, a recommended address for lovers of Indian cuisine who value culinary quality above all else.

Restaurant accessible via stairs, rustic atmosphere inside, theme-related decoration, very friendly and attentive staff, the toilets are accessed via several stairs and an extension, which was designed with rustic elements. The sanitary facilities are in the basement, which are cool and clean. Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs, but it will certainly be handled upon request. The dishes all have excellent taste and are filling. There is a page full of vegetarian dishes and another page full of vegan dishes, as well as meat eaters will get their money's worth here (fish, lamb, chicken... etc.). Drinks (extra menu) from normal to typically Indian are also served here. We will try the desserts next time we visit :)

Today we went to eat in the Himalayas based on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The food was very tasty, the service was very friendly and attentive. The starters are very plentiful and the previous greeting from the kitchen was something completely different and very tasty. One point deduction for the ambience, the Indian flair is a bit missing, it is very rustic. We would love to come back. Thank you.

The restaurant boss welcomes you at the entrance and informs you about the limited parking situation and towing if you park illegally, which is very nice. Even here and there. There's a joke from the boss and you're better off finishing your plate, otherwise there'll be "trouble". 😄 Unfortunately, I can't say enough good things about the food, as portions are relatively small and the various dishes are very similar. And unfortunately everything is not very lovingly prepared. And the price for it is a little higher.

Since I was traveling on business and was in the mood for Indian cuisine in the evening, I tried the HIMALAYA. What can I say...if I could give 6 stars for the food, I would do it. I have never tasted such a deliciously fruity chicken mango. Perfectly seasoned and buttery tender meat...big compliment. I was even asked if I needed some more rice after the service noticed I was running low...but the portion was completely sufficient. But it's becoming increasingly rare to see someone so attentive, friendly and funny. I left very happy and only deducted 1 star for the ambience because it didn't have enough Indian flair for me personally. If I'm in Halle again on business, I'll definitely come back :)

Very tasty, very friendly and the boss was super friendly. Be sure to try the small green chilies coated in dough on the starter plate 😅🙊 they made it extra fun for us at the table. The physical reaction is violent but only lasts a short time. Spoiler alert... have a tissue ready... your nose and eyes may tear. 😂 We were there with 6 guests and all the dishes were delicious. Meiner Meinung nach das beste indische Essen in Halle, mit Abstand. Auch für europäische Gaumen sehr zu empfehlen. Matar Paneer und Paneer Masala sind sehr lecker. Auf Nachfrage bekommt man auch frisch Biryani zubereitet, was nicht auf der Karte steht. Sehr zu empfehlen! Der Inhaber ist ein toller Mensch mit dem man immer eine gute Zeit hat und sich immer willkommen fühlt.

The Indian restaurant is located in the center of Halle, but on a side street. But a visit is definitely worth it! The team is very friendly, orders are processed quickly and the Indian dishes are freshly prepared. There were three of us there and we had different dishes, all of which were delicious. We spent one night in Halle and last night we wanted to eat Indian food. During our search we found what we were looking for in the “Himalayas”. We were very excited. Everything was right. The really good advice and conversation from the waiter, as well as the deliciousness of the food. Kudos to the chef. Thank you very much, we'll be back!

A great restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was extremely friendly, funny and personable. I can only recommend it. 👍🏻☺️ The mango liqueur is also homemade and very tasty. We were well looked after and the food was prepared quickly. The location is also very good, there is a large parking lot next door and it is right on Leipzigerstrasse if you want to stroll around afterwards or before. I will definitely visit the restaurant again!

Well to start with, the local was a bit odd, a bit far from the Tram station. The staff was good, but you expect Desi staff in a Desi restaurant, but that was not the case here. The variety was good, but the food taste was ordinary. We had Malai Kofta, Paneer Butter Masala, and Butter Chicken. The food was not bad, but not so good also. We were served after waiting for some time (more than usual), but it is quite understandable as it was a holiday and I guess all the staff was not there. Since we were getting late, we paid the money and hurried up, since we had to board a train back to our city. All in all, it was an above average experience, but not an Ah-ha moment.

We eat Indian food quite often. The food at this Indian restaurant is exceptionally delicious! One of the best Indians we know.

This restaurant is the leading INDIAN in Halle and the surrounding area! The ambience is very cozy and appealing and not aloof at the same time! The host is very warm, takes the time to look after each guest individually and always has interesting stories in store! Even when it's full and there's a lot to do - he never gets hectic and short but stays true to himself! But the best thing is the food, such a culinary delight - everything we've eaten there so far tastes very, very good! An absolute recommendation!! We always enjoy coming back!!
