Worst experience ever! The food didn't taste particularly good, but that's not even the problem. We came to this restaurant for the first time this Sunday evening. We found 2 hairs in our food. Once in the shared rice plate and once on my own. After we saw the first hair, we ignored it because that can happen from time to time. After we saw the second hair, we stopped eating because we couldn't swallow it anymore. We pointed this out to the waiter and asked him to put the plates away. We didn't think we would have to pay for it, nevertheless he came with the bill which we paid. Me and my partner discussed this together and decided it was unfair to pay for food and wanted to discuss it with the manager. And here came the disaster. As soon as we spoke to the manager, he was so aggressive. “I have not been a problem here for 30 years, there is not a hair in our food.” As if we were lying to him, then he confirmed it with the waiter and then he came like this: "then you shouldn't have paid, now you have paid, it's done, we won't give the money" It doesn't end there, he then has said that the hair could come from our hair. Impossible because we saw the first hair right when the waiter put the plate on the table. We also made him aware of it straight away. He also said that 4-5 years ago a lady put her hair in the food to get the food for free. Huh? He then continued with cheeky statements: “If you want, call the police” “Please go away now”. At one point I accidentally called him "don't you say we're not friends" At some point he also stood up and became loud. At this point I decided to write this review. This is not a way to behave with customers. Not professional at all. He can't control the hair in the food and one could argue that they had a bad day. However, he can very well control how he behaves with us. But the waiter was pretty nice with us and apologized. Never again.

My last order was a total disaster. The tomato soup only tasted like sugar and the lassi was spoiled.

So if you're really hungry, you'll definitely get your money's worth here. Good selection of dishes (you are always asked about the level of spiciness). I'd love to come back here.

Yes, it is an Indian restaurant. Food was very bland, a huge menu which suggests that there could be quality deficiencies and this is confirmed when served. Waiter a bit confused even though we were the only table on a Sunday evening. Sometimes there is a language barrier. Ambiance is a bit old and is very reminiscent of a junk shop.

On 30.04.2024 I ordered from the House of india website. I ordered Dal makhni and Alloo matar paneer for 27 euros with an additional delivery cost of 4 euros to receive the order after 90 mins but was told 30 minutes when called. Upon that the food was mostly spilled. The taste was also below average. Wouldn't recommend.

Today we (5 people) went to the restaurant for food and drink and I also speak on behalf of the others. The food was delicious, rich and served hot, the service was friendly and we would be happy to come back.

It was my favorite restaurant for a long time, but I was very disappointed with the service last evening. The food, however, was, as usual, very tasty. We made reservations for 6 people on a Saturday evening. When we arrived, all the tables were already occupied and no table had been reserved for us. (When we checked the book, our reservation was at the top of the page) Luckily some guests had already left, but we still had to wait 20 minutes, so I pointed out to the waiter that there were two free tables. Furthermore, there was no sign of the previous service - no questions asked for more drinks or whether everything was OK. If we had any further requests, we went straight to the waiters because they didn't respond to our other attempts to get attention. It was only when we were cashing out that the waiter apologized for the lack of a reserved table with a free drink. I was used to better things from the House of India and was therefore very disappointed. 😞

For years it was our favorite restaurant...But on Christmas Day (there were 4 of us with a reservation) hardly anything worked - we had to wait an hour, the waiters - new, young people - did everything wrong, what to do wrong was...food was swapped, soup was served with the main menu (but they were very polite!)... and the food was at least as tasty as always!

Dieses Restaurant gibt es schon so lange und für mich ist es noch immer das schmackhafteste und beste indische Restaurant, in welchem ich bislang gegessen habe. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön und lädt zum Bleiben ein. Keine Hektik, keine aufdringliche Musik! Man kann sich unterhalten und eine schöne Zeit mit Freunden, Familie etc. verbringen. Das Personal ist ebenfalls sehr nett, dezent und aufmerksam. Bereits bei der kurzfristigen Tischreservierung wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass aktuell nur Barzahlung möglich ist. Das war somit gar kein Problem. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Essen war lecker. Der Service war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Der Zugung für ältere Personen ist ein bisschen beschwerlich aber mit ein bisschen Zeit überwindbar. Gerne wieder.

The food was amazing here ! I personally liked the chicken Malai Tikka. It was tender and juicy and the quantities provided were enough for each dish compared to other Indian restaurants in Halle. But the service could have been better.

It was all good, until he said if u mix the rice with ur other Oder u cant’t take them with u as take away. So thats something I don’t unterstand bcs no matter if u mix it or not u still payed the price. So it’s stupid and not logically to say that. That’s why they only get 2 points on service.

Wir haben lange nicht so gut gegessen. Super nette Bedienung. Das Essen von Vorspeise bis Hauptgang einfach perfekt. Die Preise sind sehr angenehm und das Ambiente einfach zum wohlfühlen. Wir haben viele Inder getestet aber das ist mit Abstand der Beste ! Wir werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen und natürlich weiterempfehlen.

Sehr nette Bedienung vom Inhaber. Wir haben eine Vorspeise mit Dips sowie einen Salat aufs Haus bekommen. Die Hauptspeisen sind sehr üppig und lecker. Die Schärfe kann man selbst bestimmen und es ist nicht zu scharf. Absolute Empfehlung

Ich kann dieses Restaurant wirklich nur loben! Es ist mein Lieblings-Inder. Das Personal steht’s freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Essen super schmackhaft und würzig. Die Portionen sind auch sehr reichhaltig. Wirklich eine große Empfehlung.

Sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre mit gutem Service. Gefallen hat besonders das Brot, der Reis und der Mangoschnaps. Die Currys sind wenig authentisch gewürzt, oft recht süß. Ein Durchschnitts-Inder, dennoch gut für ein ausgiebiges Abendbrot.

Schönes Restaurant. Der Kellner war freundlich. Wir bekamen einen Gruß aus der Küche, die Portionen sind ziemlich groß. Das Essen war gut gewürzt, das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Für meinen Geschmack müssten diese vielen Duftstäbchen nicht sein, die sind mir doch etwas zu viel gewesen. Die Toiletten sind sauber gewesen. Der Eingang ist recht unscheinbar - es mutet nicht direkt ein Restaurant an. Die Atmosphäre war sehr persönlich, den Abend war nichts los, nur 2 Tische waren besetzt - Platz ist aus unserer Sicht genügend da. Alles in allem ein netter Abend, wir gehen sicher nochmal hin.

Wir sind dort oft essen und jedes mal echt begeistert. Die Auswahl ist top und das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Man bekommt auch so viel, das man sich nochmal was mitnehmen kann und am nächsten Tag auch noch davon satt wird. Es ist mit Abstand unser lieblings Inder und wir kommen gern wieder

Das erste Mal habe ich heute im House of India in der Großen Ulrichstr. Mittagessen bestellt: im Angebot für € 8,50, wurde schon 20 Minuten später eine ausreichend große Portion, gewürzt wie bestellt und gut temperiert, sehr freundlich von einem jungen Inder geliefert. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung äußerst Freundlich. Ich würde sagen, dass es einer der Besten Inder war, bei dem ich bis jetzt essen durfte. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Nach langer Renovierungspause ist hier endlich wieder offen - wir wurden wirklich aufs Freundlichste bedient! Die Gerichte waren toll gewürzt (Schärfegrad frei wählbar!) und sehr frisch gekocht und in Sachen Gastlichkeit kann sich der Laden einfach wirklich auch sehen lassen. Wir sind mehr als satt und haben auch noch reichlich mit nach Hause nehmen können. Wir können es nur rundum empfehlen!

Preis Leistung top Lieferzeit etwas lang aber auch verständlich

Wir hatten um ersten mal über lieferando bestellt und daher nicht auf die Öffnungszeiten geachtet. Unsere Bestellung kam kurz nach 14 Uhr bei house of india ein und trotzdem wurde unser Essen geliefert innerhalb der nächsten 30 min. Ich wurde dezent auf die Öffnungszeiten hingewiesen, aber Hut ab, das die Lieferung so schnell kam. Essen sehr viel und total lecker. Wir bestellen auf jeden Fall wieder unter Beachtung der Öffnungszeiten.

Also ich hab hier über Lieferando bestellt. Essen kam in akzeptabler Zeit, 45 min. Essen war heiß. Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Ich konnte am Tag danach von den Resten noch einmal komplett satt werden. Preis 25€. Also eigentlich 12,50€, weil ich zwei Mal essen konnte. Außerdem finde ich es klasse, dass Wildgerichte angeboten werden. Reh, Hirsch, Wildschwein. Alles in allem eine klare 5-Sterne Empfehlung.

Wir haben bestellt. Der Geschmack war oke, mir persönlich hat der Indische pfiff gefehlt und dabei rede ich nicht nur allein von Schärfe sondern generell von den Kräuter und Gewürzen. Sehr europäische Salz und Pfeffer. Die Menge hat gereicht, war aber dann viel zu teuer. Entweder etwas günstiger oder etwas größer Protonen. Außerdem fehlen mir die typischen gebäcke die zum Essen gereicht werden. Im großen und ganzen kann man dort essen, wer aber traditionelle indische Küche sucht ist glaube dort falsch....

Ich gebe HK recht, die Kellner:innen sind sehr freundlich und das Ambiente ist wirklich schön, deswegen sind das in meinem Buch allein schon drei Sterne wert. Auf einem anderen Kontinent ein indisches Erlebnis zu erwarten, ist utopisch (die Schärfe würden wir erfahrungsgemäß womöglich gar nicht vertragen). Deshalb gefällt mir das Essen auch so gut, dass ich hier immer wieder gern esse bzw. bestelle!

Hervorragender Lieferdienst. Das online bestellte Essen wurde am 4.1 2022 pünktlich zur vereinbarten Zeit in einer Warmhaltebox angeliefert. Das Essen war daher noch sehr heiß, sehr reichhaltig und geschmacklich große Klasse. Daher mit Recht 5 Sterne.
