I received very friendly service today at the complaint desk! I came in with the side rail of a MALM bed. I bought the bed about 10 years ago. Now, in the middle of the night, the side rail broke. The staff went out to get a new one. It turned out, however, that instead of one, there were now two fastenings. Three guesses as to why! :) Too bad, I was hoping to buy a new one. Oh well, maybe I'll get a new bed for free because of this good review!? ;)

We ordered a kitchen with assembly. Almost two months have passed since installation began, but the kitchen is still not usable because, despite IKEA's own measurements, the worktop had to be reordered several times. Now the assembly will be delayed by another month. The available contacts at IKEA appear helpless. Overall very disappointing, best to order kitchens elsewhere.

Unfortunately, it's the same at IKEA now: they only have one checkout where you can pay in cash and four where you have to pay with your card. That's not good. I'm of the opinion that multiple checkouts for cash payers are OK, and I don't care if I can pay with a card, but I want to pay for my things in cash. Even when ordering hot dogs and snacks, you only have to pay with a card, which is just crap. I feel forced to pay with a card, which I simply don't want. I pay with a card when I want to, not when others want me to.

I realize this should have been done at the beginning, but the reminder could have been more friendly. The woman at the service desk later explained it to me much more politely. Update 3/27/25. GLS finally delivers the cover plate...we open the package with witnesses...Hurrah, the plate is damaged, the corner is dented. The package must have been on the way for a long time and has been reloaded countless times because IKEA naturally sent the shipment to the wrong address in the first place, the various stickers on the shipment make this understandable. So the adventure continues March 26th, 2025 I checked again via social media and they confirmed the shipping in writing, which a customer service employee had already confirmed to me on March 13th, 2025. However, you cannot answer me as to whether the record was accidentally delivered by DHL with a reindeer from Älmhult in Sweden instead of me. Update March 21, 2025. Registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the management. No reaction at all, pretending to be dead. Update March 21, 2025. You can see how serious Ikea is by the ridiculous standard comment from IKEA on my review today. Update March 20, 2025. Called customer service again because of course nothing happened again. The employee asked if I hadn't received the cover plate yet? Uh no? Wants to consult, but can't manage to change the phone, I'm thrown off the line. Called again, another employee assured me he would take care of it immediately and call back. Of course nothing happened. Update 3/13/25. Customer service confirms to me from witnesses that the record will be with us via DHL within 3 days... that was again wrong and untrue, nothing has arrived to date. Update 02/27/25 Complained again by phone, again customer service wanted to take care of it immediately and call back, send an email... this didn't happen, here too I was lied to. Update 02/20/25 Another promise that the re-shipment will take place immediately...unfortunately that was untrue again and did not happen. We had bought a Malm chest of drawers, but when we got home we discovered that the top plate had no holes whatsoever. It can happen. Contacted customer service, the lady was friendly and helpful and offered us either a complete replacement (which was out of the question for us, as we had otherwise already completely assembled the furniture and would therefore have to completely dismantle and pack it again with this option), alternatively we could go to Ikea in Ludwigsburg and they would replace the cover plate for us individually. She gave us a process number and agreed with us that we would receive the cover plate there on site within the next two days. When we arrived in Ludwigsburg (at least 40 km one way, then we had to wait twenty minutes because the only lady in the complaints department preferred to have internal discussions first), the lady in the complaints department told us, to our astonishment, that there was neither a replacement plate nor a replacement piece of furniture and that she couldn't help us. When asked why we phoned beforehand, got a process number and made an appointment, she simply shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know why that would be the case, that you and Ikea customer service had nothing to do with each other. She then offered to send us the cover plate (confirmed this in writing on the receipt as attached here), but said she didn't know whether it would take days or months. In addition, it could be that if Ikea Ludwigsburg gets another delivery, the customers would immediately buy everything out again, then we would have been unlucky and would have to keep waiting and get in line. Conclusion: Customer service and furniture stores do not work together and there is no internal communication; this is carried out on the customer's back. You also have to spend a lot of time on the telephone hotline and waiting on site for a mistake that IKEA made. We now have an unfinished piece of furniture sitting around at home without knowing when or if a replacement will be delivered.

I was only delivered half of a table (without legs). A subsequent delivery was not possible, so I was told to order a new table and the old one would be refunded to me. I ordered and paid for the new table and to date (6 weeks later) I have not been reimbursed for half the delivery. Customer service is incredibly difficult to reach (chat, telephone, contact form). I've been in contact several times and always hear the best excuses. Apparently the accounting department has been blocking the process for two weeks now. Ikea is currently illegally withholding 138 euros from me and is obviously not interested in giving me the money back. That was my last purchase here.

CATASTROPHE: For some time now, there have been no French fries here. Supposedly unhealthy and environmentally harmful. That's woke paternalism! I don't want to be educated by a spoiled Swedish billionaire clique. Intrusive, impertinent, arrogant. So, here's the review from earlier: Not good at all. The meatballs "Köttbullar" taste like cheap mush. The meat content can't be that high. The mouthfeel is unpleasantly gritty. Almost unseasoned and bland. The food selection is meager. If there is schnitzel on the rare occasion, even those fall into the category of "tasteless cardboard." The same goes for the vegetarian versions of everything. Only the goose or duck served at Christmas time is halfway edible. Sometimes they serve chicken legs, which are just about okay. Moreover, the food is almost always lukewarm whenever we're there. Pretty much the worst-quality self-service restaurant I know. PS: I don't like the hot dogs at the snack bar downstairs either.

Basically, it works like it does in IKEAs. The Shop&Go variant is also something great. However, in this IKEA I have such massive problems with the in-house WiFi that it is virtually unusable. And mobile internet can be forgotten in such a massive building.

Newest Cluo cash registers where you first have to scan with the app. If no one tells you no at the checkout at the entrance, but only after you wait 10 minutes you have to wait again at another checkout. If you equate the word "nice" with "okay", you could probably say that this Ikea is quite nice. The furniture store is clear and clean, but the checkout area and pick-up (Click & Collect) as well as self-take-away sometimes require a lot of waiting and patience. So I give it 3.5 ✴️ out of 5 ✴️

Worktops delivered bent. The entire stairwell was demolished during delivery. But IKEA does not see itself as responsible. It's better to have it delivered by XXL or Rieger, at least they won't break anything.

I can't recommend the place. You can't get directly into the restaurant from the entrance. The restaurant itself has a strange pricing policy, the price for Köttbullar is advertised as 7.95 in the restaurant and the receipt then says 6.95 + €1 for extra balls. At the same time the peas ran out and there was a huge queue in the dining area because only one food counter was open (on Saturday) The usual thing in the store itself is that customers have to pay themselves, which is why there are 16 self-pay checkouts open and only 2 normal checkouts. Then items are out and no information can be given when the item will be available again.

I haven't been to IKEA in several years and I was honestly slightly shocked on my most recent visit for the following reasons: 1. If you want to pay in cash you are discriminated against because you have to wait in line for a very long time because only one checkout is open for cash payments, at the same time 5 checkouts were open for digital payment, each of which has 4 terminals, which is 20:1. When we wanted to eat a hot dog afterwards, as was the tradition in the past, we discovered that there were only veggie hot dogs or at most chicken available to buy - pork is taboo and has been banned. I personally see such developments as extremely critical and discriminatory! The furniture from IKEA and the price-performance level are still top, but the previous experience of shopping there has unfortunately fallen victim to woke idealism.

Never an Ikea kitchen again! If you don't plan on assembling the kitchen yourself, go somewhere else. Alternatively, find a trustworthy carpenter and never book the assembly option here. I went through the entire kitchen process here and it was a nightmare from the start. I showed up to schedule and the employee was so rude to me that I almost cried. I practically had to beg for her to sell me a kitchen, she said it wasn't possible and that I had wasted my time and money on the measuring service. Luckily, her manager heard how rude she was being and came to check the plan herself. The manager sat there the whole time and made sure I received the plan. My kitchen was purchased in December 2024, delivered at the end of January. The installation team called, made an appointment and arrived on time. I was hopeful that my dream kitchen would be ready by the end of the day. An hour into the work, I heard the workers using swear words. Something had gone wrong! They had cut the worktop almost 50 cm too short. A new one had to be ordered. It took more than a week of emails, daily calls and chats and a lot of time. 10 days passed before I got an answer: The new delivery would take a month!!!! Another month without a kitchen! Okay, a month passed. The new delivery arrived. The next day the installation team called and came. I thought: it will be good the second time, now they will be more careful. Incorrect!!! 30 minutes later and voila! Again they cut it wrong. More emails, more calls, more chats, more nerves… more lost time and no kitchen. Ikea does not have its own assembly team, this is a service they offer through the shipping company W. Roth. Roth, in turn, commissions other companies to assemble kitchens. They send very unprepared workers who speak neither German nor English. Words cannot express my frustration. Only God knows when the third delivery will take place and whether it will finally be assembled correctly. In the meantime I live like in the campsite in my own house. An incomplete cuisine, a bunch of unopened boxes and a mountain of garbage that was left by the last fitters. A €5200 nightmare! —- Update 02/28/25: —- Dear Ikea team, I saw that you replied to me. Nice words, but they don't change the fact that I have to wait a whole month every time your contractors make a mistake. Ideally, cases like mine should be treated with a little more urgency. I have now found out that my contact at Ikea is on vacation and only THEN will the new worktop be ordered. As if it wasn't bad enough. I don't see your company doing enough. Every day I lose an hour on the phone to find out whether there is news.

This review from 2021 has been DENIED by Google to date! It's unbelievable what's going on in this country!! There are several people standing in front of the entrance taking photos of customers' health data and ID cards! They are arrogant in saying that they have this right! No, they didn't!!! The IKEA in Ludwigsburg is very pleasant. The furniture and other accessories you are looking for are usually in stock. The staff will provide friendly and reliable information upon request. Of course, you can always find unplanned things in the yellow bag. Click&Collect and customer service are also great points of contact. I also know other houses in the region; I have already had negative experiences here despite less frequent visits.

I was looking forward to the delicious Swedish Köttbullar. Unfortunately, they tasted horribly greasy. Not like before. The mashed potatoes were watery and, like the gravy, tasted of nothing. It's a shame that you can no longer pay in cash at the hot dog counter (after the cash registers). After three attempts with the Ikea payment card we gave up. A nice employee couldn't do it either. Well, the food was always the secret reason why we usually came here.

why do you have to wait so long at 4 p.m. on a Friday afternoon to return a product... 2 counters open but nothing happens... the friendly employees take their time... even every citizen's office works faster even though you have to fill out a lot more paperwork there... I don't feel like waiting anymore, it's just annoying... every Aldi can handle returns in no time, only ikea Ludwigsburg leaves us customers to burn... please make improvements if possible... that's just not the way to shop with you fun!

As I've read so many times, only a cash register with a long queue in front of it. 3x self-service checkouts open with x checkouts and app checkouts where nothing is going on. Employees stand at the cashless checkouts and monitor the customers, OK important so that everything is paid for. But most people just stand in line at a checkout. Yes at the bar counter cash register. There is also no option to pay with cash at the hot dog stand. Hello, pay 2€ with a card? I think Ikea evaluates itself based on the time customers spend in the house. Unfortunately, 80% of the time is just waiting, whether at the information stand to get information about an item or at the checkout because you want to pay with cash or at the ordering counter, distribution point and the ingredient station for the hot dog distribution. Everywhere just waiting at Ikea. We haven't talked about a complaint yet, but well, wait........ As a cash payer you are simply discriminated against at Ikea Ludwigsburg.

horrible! I would have liked to give -5 stars, unfortunately that's not possible. I've never eaten so badly in 40 years... Every packet of soup tastes better, so the soup in the restaurant. My son hardly ate anything and neither did my wife. No more fries because of CO2 .....no words... We will never eat here again. Maybe you or your employer should think about it...

The range of goods is very good! Chaos at the checkout! 3 cash registers that can only be paid with the Ikea app, all empty! 3 cash registers where you can scan yourself and pay with an EC card, Queues at all 3 checkouts. The absolute blast = hot dog for 2 euros, only payable by card. Customer service is different. I left my full shopping cart there. My slogan for the future: Ikea - no thanks!

Never again Ikea kitchen!! Inadequate service and unreliable installation – not recommended We bought a kitchen 2 months ago but it's still not finished. Fitters don't speak German, deadlines are not kept and there is no communication between Ikea and the subcontractors. Very unreliable and frustrating! We will never buy a kitchen here again.

I bought an item last week using click and collect. Yes, bought it! It's already paid in full! One should assume that these articles will be taken aside. Puppy cake! I received the message today that the item is no longer in stock. Click & collect obviously doesn't work here!

Since the remodeling of the food bank, it's been absolutely stupid. First I have to queue at a pillar, Enter my order myself and can then wait again at the food counter until my number is called so that I then have to queue again at the topping station until I can finish the hot dog. Oh yes, there was an extra line for the drinks and for the soft ice cream. Absolutely no fun with a family where everyone wants something different. The waiting time is also absolutely impossible to estimate; where there used to be a clear queue, it is now just chaos. Whoever pushes through the most ruthlessly wins. And the thing for which we went to an IKEA on a Saturday evening was not there despite it being available online. The last time we went to IKEA was on Saturday and definitely the last time in this one!!!

Express checkouts are total crap. If you briefly look for a barcode, the terminals switch to a screen saver so that you don't have to scan the barcode when you finally find it because you have to push the stupid screen saver away first... other shops do that better

Dear IKEA, why are you annoying me so much? The furniture quality has deteriorated to the maximum. You just have to look at Besta: no more wooden dowels and instead of metal there are now plastic screws. The thing wobbles and is crooked. Not only do you no longer get fries in the restaurant, but there is also only one size of Kötbullar. Why can't I have more when I want to? Mattresses only have a 6 year guarantee instead of 10.. and the mattresses tested for 140kg still get a cooling if you weigh less than 100kg but turn over often at night. I could keep making this list longer, but then it would just put me in a bad mood. Been a customer for almost 30 years, it's a bit of a shame.

We were at inea Ludwigsburg on Saturday. We wanted to eat first. You just get to the restaurant where you go through this residential exhibition that no one was interested in. There are no signposts or a map of the location, just a long sign that reminds you of an S-Bahn line. It works Everything is like a labyrinth until you get to the restaurant. I wanted to buy a Skadis perforated plate in sizes 36 / 58. According to the stock status, 28 are supposed to be in stock and they are still in stock now When I look on the website but the seller claims they are sold out, they probably want to order them online to get the data and then I looked for shelf 44, but there is no shelf 44 of the high shelves that only go up to 28 I was distracted and overlooked 44. We had to ask. Then it turned out that shelf 44 was nothing more than pallets on which the goods were lying. This snack bar, which comes right after the checkouts, disturbs the customers who want to leave the store Lots of people standing in the way. If I go to IKEA again, I'll eat at Burger King because I prefer to eat before shopping

We are IKEA family fans. However, I have noticed several mistakes in pricing recently. First of all, there was a blanket labeled as €15 in-store, but it scanned at €25, and even the worker couldn't even find the product online/ in system anymore. Secondly, my child and I ordered lunch, including one small meatball (6.95€) and a child's menu (3.95€) and a piece of Schoko cake (1€) , but I noticed the pricing was incorrect again. ( Attached photo).. We advise fellow customers at IKEA Ludwigsburg to double-check prices during your shopping. Thankfully, as frequent shoppers, we noticed these mistakes, but it's always good to be vigilant. I'm still giving 2 points, because I understand, it's due to big amounts of customers during the Christmas/ new year period.

People like to come here to stroll or spend time or to take something cheap with them. I also always liked coming to the Ikea restaurant. But now it has beaten all the sense out of me that is possible. The price-performance ratio is an absolute disgrace, tiny portion but a price like from a star restaurant. I spent 30 euros and I'm still hungry afterwards. What an impudence. Update I have now given one more star because the last Christmas meal was better again in terms of price performance, the only question is whether it will stay, but drinks machines were sorted incorrectly.

Crowded, messy and stressful! Going to this ikea gives me bad mood. Also, today with a very busy restaurant, their supervisor allows a group of 3 people to occupy 3 tables (with 12 seats!!) to play cards claiming that they’re regular visitors. Meanwhile families with kids having to stand and wait for a free table. We complained that they weren’t eating - they brought their own food - but were told they are regulars. Seriously? Dirty tables everywhere, no water available for purchase. Awful!

I've been to a few Ikea furniture stores and have bought a lot of furniture in my life. I rate Ikea Ludwigsburg quite well in comparison. The house itself is very large, extremely well stocked and offers a huge selection. The offer is presented very attractively - just like Ikea. The house is rounded off by a good restaurant. The staff gave me the impression of being motivated and are always friendly and accommodating. At the exit there is also an area for small appetites (hot dogs, normal and vegetarian, which I think is very good). There is also an area at the exit where you can buy typical Swedish food. Unfortunately, the payment machine hung up during my payment process and no one felt responsible. The machine had signaled that it was "calling" someone - but it wasn't clear how long something like that could take. Then I left it and gave up. Ikea Ludwigsburg is very conveniently located directly on the A81 motorway and is easily accessible. The furniture store offers a huge parking area. The entrances can be reached barrier-free from anywhere via short routes. A key point of criticism for me, however, is the charging option for electric cars. Ikea is advertising free charging options for electric cars. Once you get there, you drive around the huge parking lot and look for them. A sign would not be asking too much here and would save both time and nerves. However, the offer itself is just pathetic with a total of 4 (!) points of 22 kW each. Ikea also waives verification here and allows anyone to charge. In my opinion, this is also used constantly. When I got there, of course all the charging points were occupied, 1 Porsche and 3 Teslas. There were people sitting in 2 vehicles and seemed to be concentrating on playing games on their cell phones - I won't comment further on that. As a customer who left over €500 in the store that evening and then had to drive to an expensive fast-charging station at Breuninger to get home, you obviously feel really ripped off. Lidl has already recognized and remedied this problem - Ikea apparently hasn't yet. So I demand more from a modern and sustainable company like Ikea would like to be. Sorry Ikea, that can be done better - you really need some help.

But the food is tasty and healthy and the atmosphere is spacious and pleasant. And of course it's worth trying the famous and very cheap hot dogs. Recommended.

Sad, I was shocked that there are no longer any fries in Würzburg, but also in Ludwigsburg???, just a shame. Since these are the 2 closest Ikeas, you have unfortunately lost us as customers. The kids never want to go to IKEA again because of the fries. That's it... Ich komme ca 30 Jahre zu Ikea. Aber was essenstechnisch abgeht ist schlichtweg eine Frechheit. Geschmacklich unterirdisch. Das Angebot sehr dürftig. Nur Köttbular und Lachs. Danke ist mir zu wenig. Und dann der Gokus auf vegane Gerichte. Danke nein. Ebenso der Verzicht auf Pommes im Angebot. Ich könnte das Essen weiter sezieren lasse es lieber. Liebe Restaurantbetreiber oder Verantwortliche. Überlegt was ihr uns Kunden anbietet. Das was es derzeit ist ist viel zu wenig. Hoffentlich wird nachgebessert oder gleich neu erfunden. Nur billig ist nicht gut genug.

Hello Ikea, thank you for also offering vegan dishes. At least one 😅 but... the fact that you no longer have fries when half the world comes to you (including children!) to eat fries is really, really bad. We were there often during the 50% Fridays and like many, many, many others who were standing in line, please pass me mashed potatoes now. We would all like the fries back. Otherwise the staff is friendly which gives it one star. It's clean and the fact that you get tea or coffee for free is also worth a star. The children should try warm oat milk. Tastes very good. Please more vegan, healthy foods, but not based on wheat gluten. Thank you very much.

I have to say a lot of praise for the ladies and gentlemen in the service, they are really very nice and accommodating, something you don't find very often anymore. Food also good, fair price/performance ratio. Small indoor playground, very child-friendly.

The value for money here is definitely good: delicious grilled Balkan specialties at absolutely unbeatable prices. I had grilled liver, which was really delicious. It came with fried potatoes. They weren't on the menu, but they made them for me anyway, which I also loved. If you want delicious food, generous portions at fair prices, this is the place to go. And to finish, you'll usually get a shot of schnapps from the chef.
