Great experience to eat here and have a nice evening. Always a nice atmosphere, a very well put together menu and the wine accompaniment and advice are top! I can really only recommend it, I've been there several times and have never been disappointed

The name says it all here. You come in and immediately feel hygge and when the right wine is served with good food, then it becomes really hygge again...

A place where we feel very comfortable, cozy, very good food and excellent service. Lena in particular stands out at reception, super friendly, warm and always helpful.

Beautifully located, well furnished, excellent ambience. In terms of price-performance, the only thing that should be noted is that the kitchen could use more bold seasonings. Everything tasted pretty natural. But all in all worth a visit.

Cadre chaleureux pour ce grand restaurant. Ambiance bois et feu de cheminée. Service rapide et discret. La carte est vaste et tout le monde doit y trouver son bonheur avec des plats typiquement allemands. On peut manger convenablement et copieusement pour 40 à 50 euros par personne, ce qui reste assez raisonnable pour la ville. Plat du jour intéressant! La carte des boissons est longue mais pas vraiment bon marché. Attention, menus en allemand mais le personnel parle anglais.

Wir waren zum dritten mal hier, leider war dieser Abend nicht so schön. Wir fühlten uns sehr gehetzt. Gleich als wir das Lokal betraten, wurde ungeduldig darauf gewartet, dass wir unsere Mäntel ablegten, auch dass wir den Tisch nur für 2.5 Stunden hätten, wurde gleich erwähnt. Der Service ließ auch einiges zu wünschen übrig, wir waren noch gar nicht mit unserer Bestellung zu Ende, da war die Bedienung schon wieder weg. Das Essen war in Ordnung, beim Überraschungsmenü musste man allerdings das Dessert innerhalb von 5 Minuten verspeisen, weil wir ja den Tisch räumen mussten. An diesem Abend war das Lokal sehr voll, wahrscheinlich waren die Mitarbeiter dadurch sehr gestresst, trotzdem sollte man es als Gast nicht spüren! Nachdem wir einen Tisch an der Bar bekamen, war der Service wunderbar, der Barkeeper war äußert zuvorkommend und hat uns sehr gut beraten, herzlichen Dank dafür! Schade, dass es diese Timeslots gibt, dadurch geht sehr viel Gemütlichkeit verloren! Wir suchen uns lieber ein Restaurant, in dem wir in Ruhe den Abend genießen können!

Ein gemütliches Ambiente ist leider nicht alles...Wir kamen über eine Reservierung zu zweit, bekamen auch gleich einen Tisch bestellen 1x das 4-Gänge-Überrschungs-Menue und zusätzlich noch eine Hauptspeise. Das Qualität der Zutaten in den einzelnen Gängen war zwar ok, doch teilweise geschmacklich ziemlich unspektakulär, und ob es jetzt Schweinebauch in dieser Restaurantkategorie als Hauptgericht geben muss, bleibt natürlich im Ermessen des Kochs und ist vermutlich der " Überraschung" geschuldet. Das unsere Weinflasche einfach mit einem Rest während des Essens weggeräumt wurde und wir auf Nachfragen widerwillig eine kleine Pfütze in nur EIN Glas bekamen, gehörte bestimmt auch zur Überraschung...Dem Service war es egal, als wir auf deren Nachfragen über unsere Zufriedenheit mit dem Essen eine entsprechende Auskunft gaben... Für unser Essen mussten wir außerdem insgesamt 2,5 Stunden investieren und das lag nicht an den übersichtlichen Portionen, sondern war vielleicht durch die sehr " entspannte" Bedienung oder, angesichts hoher Gästeszahlen der überforderten Küche geschuldet... Vielleicht haben sie uns auch schlicht einfach nur vergessen. Die gefüllte Poularde als Einzelgericht war sehr gut gemacht , aber wir verspüren trotzdem zur Zeit nicht die Tendenz, unseren Besuch zeitnah zu wiederholen....Schade!

We love coming over for birthdays or special occasions and are always warmly welcomed. The food is a dream, the service is super nice and attentive and yet not fake. The only point that is sometimes a bit annoying is the volume in the restaurant, but I don't know how much we can help with that. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

My first visit to Hygge was fantastic! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy – you immediately feel at home and look forward to the time you can spend here. Especially in winter, when the fireplace is burning in the evening, the true hygge atmosphere arises! A look at the menu didn't make it easy to choose: a diverse selection of regional and seasonal dishes that were put together with a lot of love. You could also feel the dedication with which the drinks were chosen. The dishes tasted unique and were prepared with a lot of passion for high-quality products. The service also left nothing to be desired: super friendly, attentive and always open to recommendations and questions. I would definitely like to come back! Great food when every table is occupied, but the noise level is quite high

Really nice restaurant with fantastic ingredients, very attentive service and perfectly prepared and presented food. The large selection of vegetarian dishes is also commendable. But what particularly impressed me was the aromatic bouillabaisse. This time I have to deduct a point for the ambience because this time we were seated so close to a very unpleasant guest couple, whose female part had to spread their xenophobic views throughout the evening at a volume that was unmistakable to us. Of course, the restaurant can't do anything for such unpleasant guests, but it can do something for the somewhat cramped space. So we kept the evening shorter than originally planned. We will still be happy to come back.

Uncomfortable restaurant, as the name suggests.... If you want to spend time there open-ended, you should definitely mention this when making your reservation, because there are two meal times in the evening, the later one is more relaxed and the earlier one is limited. In summer, when it is warm, you can sit on the beautiful terrace and in winter, when the open fireplace, visible from all sides, is burning, it is even more uncomfortable. The food is very tasty, the price is a bit higher, the homemade lemonade and ice cream, with constantly changing varieties, are always made fresh, even on the same evening. It's an experience, but make sure you make a reservation.

All in all, great if you have enough money! 140 euros for two people (50 euros per person, 16 euros per drink) :-P Food portions of high quality, but the quantity suffers a bit. Well, at least in the end you don't go out hungry and you don't feel really stuffed either.

Whenever we visit our son in Hamburg, we come to HYGGE in the evening. Even if it's only a few weeks a year, it's our home for us. The crew is so incredibly warm and charming, every wish is met by the guest's eyes. And once a new, less pleasant team member is introduced, you can be confident that they will soon be eliminated. In addition to the most wonderful staff in all of Hamburg, HYGGE offers a wine list of the finest and seasonally changing dishes at a fantastic level.

We only stayed in this Flottbek “Hygge” country house for one night, but we really enjoyed it. Everything is very comfortable, as the name suggests, furnished and designed. Staff very friendly and attentive.

The ambience is harmonious and has a feel-good effect. The team was so friendly and attentive and they were able to answer whatever questions you had about food/drink. The FOOD wow and again wow it was a taste explosion just amazing 5 stars are still not enough We can only recommend it and have even told friends how great it was...

Great atmosphere, friendly and courteous service. Unfortunately, the food was just average and not entirely justified for the price. An essential ingredient (also listed on the menu) was forgotten in one starter and the duck in the main course was unfortunately very dry. Dessert was ok. Another starter was really very good (yellowfin mackerel). So overall it was a nice experience, but I don't think we'll be back.

An Othmarschen classic. Great rooms, great service, nice concept. Wonderful garden in summer. Prices high end. But the attached hotel has also just received one of the few Michelin hotel stars.

For us the best restaurant in Hamburg. Yesterday we were there for the third time with my son and, as always, we were warmly welcomed and served well. The food was a poem. From the fried pulp and the scallops to the duck and the entrecôte, everything was perfect. The wine selection is very large but the nice sommelier takes care of finding the perfect wine for you. Thank you again for that😊. We are already looking forward to the next time.

3x 5 stars!!! The service is incredible. Every single service person is friendly, attentive and very quick. We are happy to accommodate individual requests. The food is of a great standard. We ate there three times during our trip to Hamburg and every dish was a delight. The ambience is special, hygge style. Since the restaurant is also very popular with Hamburgers, there is always a lot going on there and the background noise takes some getting used to. Nevertheless, I would always be drawn there again if we were in Hamburg again.

The perfect place to experience the word Hygge live. Ambience, service, food, simply perfect! The experience is crowned by a bar where you can not only sit and stand very well, but also enjoy really well-prepared cocktails. Highly recommended the selection of house wines and the house gin. In my opinion one of the best. Pure juniper.

Very good food in a relaxed country house atmosphere. The fireplace completes the entire ambience. Service relaxed and very attentive. We found everything from the starter to the dessert to be very good. The oxtail was my personal highlight, which you don't find on many menus. The cocktails are also recommended.

No creo recordar haber comido en ningún lugar del mundo que tuviera un ambiente mejor que aquí. Mientras entrábamos dejando atrás la noche oscura, húmeda y ventosa, nos recibieron cálidamente. El fuego estaba encendido y la iluminación baja, las velas encendidas y el personal eficiente y acogedor. Cómodas sillas y alfombras de piel de oveja añadidas al ambiente Scandi. Probamos el “menú sorpresa” que estaba absolutamente bien presentado, un montón de verduras y salsas finas que se cocinaron a la perfección. Sin duda nuestra comida favorita de nuestra semana de vacaciones en Alemania, y nos gustaría volver. ¡Bien hecho equipo Hygge! Lo único negativo que noté fue el arte ligeramente incongroso en las paredes... pero creo que fue una exposición temporal.

It wasn't our first time visiting here. The location and the quality of the food leave nothing to be desired. The staff who served us at the table were very friendly, relaxed and accommodating. Only the lady who rushed to help us with the cloakroom at the end and sounded like we weren't allowed to take our jackets ourselves and looked at us in a punitive or even reprimanding way, ended up missing our exit. They alone drag the service down by one star. Reason why a star is missing from the food - the vegetarian surprise menu costs exactly the same as the normal one, but saves costs through more economical ingredients (no veal, no salmon, no trout, no pork - and meat is expensive) and portion sizes. This is not fair pricing.

Just wow!! Hygge is our favorite restaurant in Hamburg. The food tastes incomparably good and is reminiscent of South Tyrol. Eating out here is a highlight every time. Very nice service and a great ambience. Dogs are also very welcome. We love it here!

Moin Folks, immer wieder Sonntags, wo geht man gerne essen, wo passt die Speisen-Qualität, der Sonntags-Service und vieles mehr?????? Hier bei HYGGE ist es so richtig gemütlich, hier ist Gast gerne auch am Sonntag gesehen, hier ist das Service-Personal gut geschult, ausreichend vorhanden, man achtet sehr um die wohlfühlende Gemütlichkeit seiner Gäste. Ein sehr uriges Restaurant, der gläserne Kamin in der mitte des Restaurants, sehr eindrucksvoll. Geile Wohnzimmer-Qualität, hier kann man genussvoll genießen und die Ente läutet den Herbst und die vorweihnachtlichen Wochen ein👏👏👏👏👏👏 Einfach Trompetengalaktisch geil hier, immer wieder sehr gerne.

First: very friendly and warm welcome. Food: The artichaut soup with mimolette cheese is a dream. Very good main courses from the skill of the chef and the high quality products. We are fans... So far I haven't been quite as enthusiastic about dessert as the starters and main courses... meringue from Pavlova, unfortunately dry, definitely not homemade. Great wine advice. We had the 4-course menu with wine accompaniment and were thrilled from the first fork. Everything is cleverly prepared without overcomplicating anything. The wild boar loin was a real delight and even though I'm not a big fan of beetroot, the dish totally convinced me. Praise also for the extremely delicious bread! Every now and then it was a little loud, but well, it's your own fault -- if you prefer it a little quieter, maybe not on a Friday evening.

Great ambience, great service. There's nothing you can do to improve it. The menu selection is good, but not commensurate with the price. Some of the flavors and textures were not worked out in detail, recurring flavors in the courses. More mass-compatible ingredients would be recommended in the surprise menu. Blood sausage / offal are not recommended. Describe some content incorrectly. Crustacean pot-au-feu with pulpo and scallops… has already been renamed. Unfortunately, the pulp was cut far too thick and then felt like rubber on the palate. What should be highlighted are the good wines and great recommendations from the sommelier and the friendliness of the service.

From the flawless food to the top-tier drinks and the enveloping ambiance, hygge is an experience you'll rave about long after you leave. A true 5-star gem that redefines indulgence.

We have been to the Hygge Brasserie & Bar several times and have been thrilled every time! This place has become one of our absolute favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and immediately invites you to feel good - exactly what you would expect from a restaurant that lives the Scandinavian "Hygge" idea. The service is outstanding. The staff is always friendly, courteous and attentive without being intrusive. No matter whether it's a wine recommendation or special requests when ordering - here you always feel well advised and welcome. The entire team always manages to make our visit a relaxed and pleasant experience. The food is another highlight. The menu offers a wonderful selection of seasonal and regional dishes that are always freshly prepared. You can immediately notice the quality of the ingredients, and the combinations on the plates are a delight not only in terms of taste, but also visually. The changing daily specials, which always provide culinary surprises, are particularly recommended. The portions are not very generous, but they are enjoyable! The selection of drinks is also great. From carefully selected wines to creative cocktails, there's something for everyone here. A particularly nice option is to end the evening with a drink at the stylishly designed bar. All in all, the Hygge Brasserie and Bar is a place we like to return to again and again. Whether for a relaxed dinner for two or a sociable evening with friends - everything is just right here. Absolute recommendation! The view on the fireplace is a dream.

A really great atmosphere! The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Fish - and seafood - dominates the menu and is not for everyone. You can still fall back on a classic like the Wiener Schnitzel. Overall, the food is really delicious! Unfortunately, the dessert was completely wrong. Macarons that tasted completely like a refrigerator and weren't fresh. Unfortunately the crème brulée was also rubbish. The entire cream including the bowl was warmed up. So it didn't meet the classic taste. The wine and soda were very good. It's a good place to eat - but it's a place for adults only

Hygge Restaurant, a true dream, but unfortunately it echoes in the room. An old farmhouse, made modern, with style and charm, the heart awakens. But acoustics, oh dear, a great suffering, for best agers who are desperately looking for their hearing aid to quickly adjust the volume. One star deducted, I have to say because the ears are badly bothered here. The service, friendly and professional, from the German-speaking area, that's fun. Five stars here, that's clear, Because it couldn’t be better, wonderful! The bread, so fresh, the butter is a dream, the bouillabaisse, the best in the room. The salmon tartare, almost perfect, but unfortunately, the sauce was too runny, four stars, unfortunately. The truffle pasta, delicious, but also here, the sauce was too thin, four stars for that. Light and parking lot, a bit dark and heavy, for older guests, that's difficult. Overall a great restaurant, But the acoustics captivate us. I give it four stars, that's my word, because hygge is a special place.

If you're not dressed in the way that you want to go out for a classy meal, you'll be treated like dirt. You'll be allowed to sit on the street in front of the restaurant and wait forever for the menu - you're a second-class person

I would love to not give a star, we didn't even get a card...

Doesn't do what it promises at all Inspired by the promising video on the homepage, we reserved a table. Our “experience” began when we were informed on the way to our table that we had it for 2.5 hours. Yes… we can read when making the reservation… Being greeted as a guest with such a notice upon arrival is a no-go. It was incredibly loud; The tables are very close together - not a nice atmosphere for a meal. We chose the 3-course surprise menu. I asked to tell the kitchen that everything was ok, just no pasta please. We were informed that the service was not allowed to discuss this with the kitchen as there were instructions to serve the surprise menu as it came from the kitchen. Aha - does that mean that Hygge only offers surprise experiences for guests without sensitivities?! This is unacceptable in this day and age for an establishment like this. The card also states that if you have any intolerances, you should contact an employee. However, the fact that this does not apply to a surprise menu defies any logic. I would normally have left immediately at that moment, but I was persuaded to stay. Unfortunately, the taste experience promised in the video failed to materialize. Only the starter - foamy farm herb soup - was a delight. My cod with mashed potatoes and cucumber vegetables was largely tasteless and overall unspectacular. The “best of veal”, on the other hand, was very over-seasoned, so that my friend had heartburn for the rest of the evening. As is well known, you can argue about taste (although a certain level can be expected in this price category), but not about service. Interestingly, after we expressed our displeasure about it, we were proven right, but other than that “they would like to pass on the criticism,” nothing further happened. Hence our conclusion: once and not again.

A fantastically beautiful hotel and restaurant. Absolutely upscale dishes are served here using regional products, some from our own farm. Great staff, friendly and cool. We felt completely comfortable. Five stars isn't enough, but that's all it takes.

The anticipation of a beautiful evening was great. So far we haven't been disappointed with our visits. Until now…. The reserved table was assigned to the garden without prior request. That wasn't what we wanted and unfortunately the evening became uncomfortable. There was only one table to choose from in the restaurant, the one where guests and staff had to constantly walk past. Even though we said we didn't like this table. Nevertheless, we were not offered another table. But the whole restaurant was empty because all the other guests were sitting outside. It happened as it had to happen, the waiters walked past all four sides of the table every time and that finally ruined the cozy evening. For a restaurant in this price range with this good cuisine and classy ambience, the good, considerate service to the guests is unfortunately missing. For us it was the last time.

Moin Folks, echt cool, sehr gemütlich das riesengroße Kaminzimmer. Die Bilder an der Wand, eine Augenweide die man bei dem nötigen Kleingeld erwerben kann. Hübsche Bar, tolle Weinkarte, Cocktail-Karte und leckere Speisekarte, wir haben uns ausgetobt. Beifolgende Bilder/Fotos zeigen und sprechen für sich. Wir erscheinen wieder, jedoch testen wir in den nächsten Wochen viele Restaurants um mehr Abwechslung auch mal zu haben und um hier weitere Bewertungen zu platzieren. Viel Spassssssss. Great food, wonderful ambience, perfect and extremely nice service.

A pleasant surprise in Altona. Had dinner and stayed overnight here on the trip to Sylt. Many 5 stars can't keep up. Great atmosphere, great food and a super nice atmosphere among the employees. Great price-performance ratio. Highly recommended!

A place you'll want to come back to, everything is probably homemade and the service is excellent. The food is always excellent and a good place to relax. The price is steep, very high, which means that people go there less often. But you enjoy going there. Changing cards are very good, unfortunately too often fish or pork-heavy, but it's balanced. The wine selection is very good and always something, the cocktails are recommended and always cozy, whether in summer or winter. It's worth recommending, especially on special occasions.

The two of us sat relaxed in the garden, looked after by very attentive service. The food was wonderful - ice cream was the discovery of the evening 😀
