For us the best restaurant in Hamburg. Yesterday we were there for the third time with my son and, as always, we were warmly welcomed and served well. The food was a poem. From the fried pulp and the scallops to the duck and the entrecôte, everything was perfect. The wine selection is very large but the nice sommelier takes care of finding the perfect wine for you. Thank you again for that😊. We are already looking forward to the next time.

We ate there three times during our trip to Hamburg and every dish was a delight. The ambience is special, hygge style. Since the restaurant is also very popular with Hamburgers, there is always a lot going on there and the background noise takes some getting used to. Nevertheless, I would always be drawn there again if we were in Hamburg again.

The perfect place to experience the word Hygge live. Ambience, service, food, simply perfect! The experience is crowned by a bar where you can not only sit and stand very well, but also enjoy really well-prepared cocktails. Highly recommended the selection of house wines and the house gin. In my opinion one of the best. Pure juniper.

Very good food in a relaxed country house atmosphere. The fireplace completes the entire ambience. Service relaxed and very attentive. We found everything from the starter to the dessert to be very good. The oxtail was my personal highlight, which you don't find on many menus. The cocktails are also recommended.

No creo recordar haber comido en ningún lugar del mundo que tuviera un ambiente mejor que aquí. Mientras entrábamos dejando atrás la noche oscura, húmeda y ventosa, nos recibieron cálidamente. El fuego estaba encendido y la iluminación baja, las velas encendidas y el personal eficiente y acogedor. Cómodas sillas y alfombras de piel de oveja añadidas al ambiente Scandi. Probamos el “menú sorpresa” que estaba absolutamente bien presentado, un montón de verduras y salsas finas que se cocinaron a la perfección. Sin duda nuestra comida favorita de nuestra semana de vacaciones en Alemania, y nos gustaría volver. ¡Bien hecho equipo Hygge! Lo único negativo que noté fue el arte ligeramente incongroso en las paredes... pero creo que fue una exposición temporal.

It wasn't our first time visiting here. The location and the quality of the food leave nothing to be desired. The staff who served us at the table were very friendly, relaxed and accommodating. Only the lady who rushed to help us with the cloakroom at the end and sounded like we weren't allowed to take our jackets ourselves and looked at us in a punitive or even reprimanding way, ended up missing our exit. They alone drag the service down by one star. Reason why a star is missing from the food - the vegetarian surprise menu costs exactly the same as the normal one, but saves costs through more economical ingredients (no veal, no salmon, no trout, no pork - and meat is expensive) and portion sizes. This is not fair pricing.

Just wow!! Hygge is our favorite restaurant in Hamburg. The food tastes incomparably good and is reminiscent of South Tyrol. Eating out here is a highlight every time. Very nice service and a great ambience. Dogs are also very welcome. We love it here!

Hier bei HYGGE ist es so richtig gemütlich, hier ist Gast gerne auch am Sonntag gesehen, hier ist das Service-Personal gut geschult, ausreichend vorhanden, man achtet sehr um die wohlfühlende Gemütlichkeit seiner Gäste. Ein sehr uriges Restaurant, der gläserne Kamin in der mitte des Restaurants, sehr eindrucksvoll. Geile Wohnzimmer-Qualität, hier kann man genussvoll genießen und die Ente läutet den Herbst und die vorweihnachtlichen Wochen ein👏👏👏👏👏👏 Einfach Trompetengalaktisch geil hier, immer wieder sehr gerne.

First: very friendly and warm welcome. Food: The artichaut soup with mimolette cheese is a dream. Very good main courses from the skill of the chef and the high quality products. We are fans... So far I haven't been quite as enthusiastic about dessert as the starters and main courses... meringue from Pavlova, unfortunately dry, definitely not homemade. Great wine advice. We had the 4-course menu with wine accompaniment and were thrilled from the first fork. Everything is cleverly prepared without overcomplicating anything. The wild boar loin was a real delight and even though I'm not a big fan of beetroot, the dish totally convinced me. Praise also for the extremely delicious bread! Every now and then it was a little loud, but well, it's your own fault -- if you prefer it a little quieter, maybe not on a Friday evening.

Great ambience, great service. There's nothing you can do to improve it. The menu selection is good, but not commensurate with the price. Some of the flavors and textures were not worked out in detail, recurring flavors in the courses. More mass-compatible ingredients would be recommended in the surprise menu. Blood sausage / offal are not recommended. Describe some content incorrectly. Crustacean pot-au-feu with pulpo and scallops… has already been renamed. Unfortunately, the pulp was cut far too thick and then felt like rubber on the palate. What should be highlighted are the good wines and great recommendations from the sommelier and the friendliness of the service.

We have been to the Hygge Brasserie & Bar several times and have been thrilled every time! This place has become one of our absolute favorite restaurants. The staff is always friendly, courteous and attentive without being intrusive. No matter whether it's a wine recommendation or special requests when ordering - here you always feel well advised and welcome. The entire team always manages to make our visit a relaxed and pleasant experience. The food is another highlight. The menu offers a wonderful selection of seasonal and regional dishes that are always freshly prepared. You can immediately notice the quality of the ingredients, and the combinations on the plates are a delight not only in terms of taste, but also visually. The changing daily specials, which always provide culinary surprises, are particularly recommended. The portions are not very generous, but they are enjoyable! The selection of drinks is also great. From carefully selected wines to creative cocktails, there's something for everyone here. A particularly nice option is to end the evening with a drink at the stylishly designed bar. All in all, the Hygge Brasserie and Bar is a place we like to return to again and again. Whether for a relaxed dinner for two or a sociable evening with friends - everything is just right here. A really great atmosphere! The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Fish - and seafood - dominates the menu and is not for everyone. You can still fall back on a classic like the Wiener Schnitzel. Overall, the food is really delicious! Unfortunately, the dessert was completely wrong. Macarons that tasted completely like a refrigerator and weren't fresh. Unfortunately the crème brulée was also rubbish. The entire cream including the bowl was warmed up. So it didn't meet the classic taste. The wine and soda were very good. It's a good place to eat - but it's a place for adults only

The salmon tartare, almost perfect, but unfortunately, the sauce was too runny, four stars, unfortunately. The truffle pasta, delicious, but also here, the sauce was too thin, four stars for that. Light and parking lot, a bit dark and heavy, for older guests, that's difficult. Overall a great restaurant, But the acoustics captivate us. I give it four stars, that's my word, because hygge is a special place.

Doesn't do what it promises at all Inspired by the promising video on the homepage, we reserved a table. Our “experience” began when we were informed on the way to our table that we had it for 2.5 hours. Yes… we can read when making the reservation… Being greeted as a guest with such a notice upon arrival is a no-go. It was incredibly loud; The tables are very close together - not a nice atmosphere for a meal. We chose the 3-course surprise menu. I asked to tell the kitchen that everything was ok, just no pasta please. We were informed that the service was not allowed to discuss this with the kitchen as there were instructions to serve the surprise menu as it came from the kitchen. Aha - does that mean that Hygge only offers surprise experiences for guests without sensitivities?! This is unacceptable in this day and age for an establishment like this. The card also states that if you have any intolerances, you should contact an employee. However, the fact that this does not apply to a surprise menu defies any logic. I would normally have left immediately at that moment, but I was persuaded to stay. Unfortunately, the taste experience promised in the video failed to materialize. Only the starter - foamy farm herb soup - was a delight. My cod with mashed potatoes and cucumber vegetables was largely tasteless and overall unspectacular. The “best of veal”, on the other hand, was very over-seasoned, so that my friend had heartburn for the rest of the evening. As is well known, you can argue about taste (although a certain level can be expected in this price category), but not about service. Interestingly, after we expressed our displeasure about it, we were proven right, but other than that “they would like to pass on the criticism,” nothing further happened. Hence our conclusion: once and not again.

The anticipation of a beautiful evening was great. So far we haven't been disappointed with our visits. Until now…. The reserved table was assigned to the garden without prior request. That wasn't what we wanted and unfortunately the evening became uncomfortable. There was only one table to choose from in the restaurant, the one where guests and staff had to constantly walk past. Even though we said we didn't like this table. Nevertheless, we were not offered another table. But the whole restaurant was empty because all the other guests were sitting outside. It happened as it had to happen, the waiters walked past all four sides of the table every time and that finally ruined the cozy evening. For a restaurant in this price range with this good cuisine and classy ambience, the good, considerate service to the guests is unfortunately missing. For us it was the last time.

Hübsche Bar, tolle Weinkarte, Cocktail-Karte und leckere Speisekarte, wir haben uns ausgetobt. Beifolgende Bilder/Fotos zeigen und sprechen für sich. Wir erscheinen wieder, jedoch testen wir in den nächsten Wochen viele Restaurants um mehr Abwechslung auch mal zu haben und um hier weitere Bewertungen zu platzieren. Viel Spassssssss. A place you'll want to come back to, everything is probably homemade and the service is excellent. The food is always excellent and a good place to relax. The price is steep, very high, which means that people go there less often. But you enjoy going there. Changing cards are very good, unfortunately too often fish or pork-heavy, but it's balanced. The wine selection is very good and always something, the cocktails are recommended and always cozy, whether in summer or winter. It's worth recommending, especially on special occasions.

An absolute top place for a fine, unusual and very tasty meal in a noble ambience. The house lives up to its name with a fireplace, cozy lighting and great, rustic furnishings. And the food is really something special. However, you don't need or should look for a simple currywurst or something similar here. But you can spend a very pleasant and happy evening here that you will remember for a long time. Certainly not cheap, but not astronomically expensive either. We felt completely comfortable for 3 hours and will definitely come back one day when we end up in Hamburg again.

Friendly and attentive service. We were warmly welcomed and the jacket was taken away from us. Without a reservation there was only one seat available at the counter. This one had sticky syrup stains and apparently the chair did too, because I had the stains in my pants afterwards. I pointed this out and asked for the stains to be removed, unfortunately this wasn't done immediately, which is why I deducted a star. I would describe the ambience as pleasant and suitable for the building. I can't judge whether it's hygge now. I had relatively high expectations of the food, due to the recommendation in the Michelin Guide, but also the fairly high pricing. I had a fish soup that was similar to a bouillabaise for €36. In terms of taste, it's a well-rounded affair, but not outstanding. My companion had a Wiener Schnitzel and a risotto. The schnitzel was as it should be. The risotto, however, was bland and disappointing, although visually appealing. It was definitely missing salt which it normally gets from the parmesan. That's why the star deduction for the food. And unfortunately the green oil didn't contribute anything to the taste. This was the opinion of my companion and I personally convinced myself of it and can confirm it. I think the 3 or 5 course menu is a good choice for the money, as long as the taste is convincing.

The HYGGE restaurant is a cozy and very chic place for delicious food in a TOP atmosphere. The furnishings in the thatched cottage are modern. The lighting concept is great and the fireplace in the middle is an absolute eye-catcher. The HYGGE team understands the art of attentive, friendly and professional service. Everything fits. We felt very comfortable. 100% recommendation.

Very nice and cozy atmosphere. You immediately feel somehow comfortable and relaxed. The service staff also ensure this. The breakfast was rich and special. Rolls and croissants are fresh and crispy. We recommend the omelette, the cappuccino and the salmon with mustard sauce. Gladly again. Very nice.

Lovely Restaurant. Foods were great espcially the scallop risotto. However, thoss who are allergic to crustaceans that I would not really recommend this dish though as normally I'm not allergic to scallop but i did have mild allergy reaction after eating the scallop. I'm not sure did they pan fried the scallop on something which they had fried on other crustaceans before. Furthermore, the water is counted by head instead of bottle lol that's why they said its "flat rate" haha. Overall was a nice restaurant, they had some great wine too!! We will definitely come back again! :)

The Hygge lives up to the name 100%. The atmosphere is super cozy and invites you to linger. We started with champagne & oysters, both excellent! Afterwards we were able to enjoy a foamy soup with herbs from our own farm, for the main course we were served an incredibly delicious wild garlic risotto with scallops, and our dinner was rounded off with waffles. After dinner we moved to the lounge and whiled away the hours there with first-class espresso martinis with a view of the fireplace. The service is enchanting and the sommelier's expertise and wine selection are also noteworthy. As always, we left Hygge fed up and happy and are already looking forward to the next visit. Our dogs are always welcome guests here and are treated kindly.

This was our fourth time here at Hygge. We wanted to celebrate my birthday on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately the food didn't taste as usual. I had the striploin. The piece of beef isn't the most tender, but unfortunately it was far too tough so that the knife couldn't cut it without effort. I couldn't finish it so I took it home for my dog ​​before it ended up in the trash. Unfortunately, the wild garlic risotto in the starter was not as intensely flavored as it used to be. More broth than wild garlic. The seafood was very good though. My husband had the Römertopf and it was amazing. Super tender and delicious! Unfortunately, the desire to take the rest (which resulted in a whole portion) with us was not properly communicated in the kitchen. So it was thrown away. It's a shame about the meat and the money. For sustainability reasons, such large portions should not be thrown into the trash. Especially when it is served out of the pot and it wasn't the guest's turn. As always, the staff were very friendly and apologized several times. The drinks are super tasty and our own creation from the bar made us very happy. Conclusion: ambience 10/10, service 10/10, kitchen 7/10 Price-performance is actually okay if the kitchen were better or more attentive. The food is fresh and high quality. I hope it was due to the holidays this time and it will be like before next time.

Kitchen and service were excellent. Unfortunately there is a deduction for the ambience. The prevailing acoustics in the restaurant made it difficult to have a normal conversation while eating. I found the distance of approx. 30 cm to the neighboring table to be a bit too hygge.

A really great, cozy shop in Flottbek! We had a great Christmas Day there and had a really great meal. Jackets are taken off, you are brought to the table and the service was there very quickly. I ordered oysters, with the help of the waitress, half a duck for the main course and a creme brulee for dessert The food and also the home-brewed beer were really fantastic! First time oysters for me and they were amazing. The duck with the variety of side dishes is really incredibly tasty. The creme brulee rounded everything off perfectly at the end. Minimal, small suggestion for improvement... a little more "active service" Asking more often if everything is ok, if you still want drinks, etc. But it was also difficult on Boxing Day with a lot of tables. The food is clearly too expensive and the wine, which costs over €13 per glass, is poured meticulously to the milliliter, even though the bottle is almost empty. The aim is probably fine dining, but the goal is still a long way off.

Leider passt das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Preise wie Fine-Dining, aber Essen aber Richtung "normal". Glas Rotwein für gute 13€ wird auf den Milliliter genau bemessen, obwohl die Flasche so gut wie leer war. Viele Sachen gehen besser!

Very cozy restaurant with very good food and great service.

Wir waren früher da, als wir den Tisch reserviert hatten und wollten gerne vorher an der angepriesenen Bar noch was trinken. Das war ungern möglich, weil man die Plätze als Rangierplätze freihalten wolle, um auf überzogene Zeitfenster bei den Tischen reagieren zu können. Richtig willkommen hab ich mich nicht gefühlt. Der Tisch vor uns hatte dann kurzfristig abgesagt, dass wir schon früher an unseren Tisch konnten und es hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Ambiente, Essen u Getränke waren toll, aufmerksame Bedienung. Alles top. Aber dies Geschmäckle vom Anfang ist nicht ganz weggegangen.

Beautiful location with great attention to detail when eating and drinking. The small Wienerschnitzel went very well for the children and we adults were treated to an excellent meal.

Sehr nettes Personal, tolles gemütliches Ambiente, außergewöhnliches (aber auch sehr interessantes) Wine Pairing, sehr aufmerksamer Sommelier (der beim Wein teils sogar nachschenkt)

Wir hatten das Überraschungsmenü. Alles drei Gänge waren köstlich und toll angerichtet. Die Atmosphäre war hyggelig und sehr einladend. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
