Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location our room looked onto the river

Five of us stayed at the hotel for three nights. At check-in we were not told that an amount per person per day would be blocked on the credit card. The surprise was big! The desire for the rooms to be next to each other or on the same floor was lost. The rooms themselves were nice and big and had a wonderful view of the Rhine. The drawback was that showering took some getting used to. Breakfast buffet was rich and large, but the reception was not as warm or inviting: "Room number please" instead of a nice "Good morning, how did you sleep?" We visited the restaurant one evening and not again after that. It was quite chaotic and you could tell that the staff was stressed. We didn't think the price/performance ratio at Bell Pepper was justified. The next surprise came when checking out: the reception had trouble with the billing and one of the blocked amounts was not released. The hotel is in a good location but based on our experiences we probably won't go there again.

We were guests again… this time everything worked. The room was already ready. Very friendly welcome. Thank you!! We were then able to relax very well in the wellness area. in the lounge on October 11th and 12th. Many thanks to the young woman for the authentic, emphatic, loving conversation... we really enjoyed it... so attentive and unobtrusive That made the somewhat monotonous choice of food forgotten… Well, the quality of the food fluctuates a lot. Sometimes the cream of mushroom soup is too sour, sometimes the potato soup is very good... but the salmon is too salty.. it could be that we are very strict.. we've already visited several club lounges at the Hyatt🙈 Yes, it costs also extra 😎 By the way, this time we were disappointed with the eggs Benedict and the scrambled eggs at breakfast... pretty unloving... Well, we have come to an arrangement... with the extensive breakfast no one will starve... not even us... We would like to thank you very much for the lovely stay. We really needed it and are already looking forward to the next time

A hotel in a prime location: right on the Rhine and not far from the old town with its beautiful, cozy streets. The service is very courteous and special requests are fulfilled promptly. The rooms are large and clean. The breakfast with a large selection is particularly recommended. The Bellperper service is convincing!

Hotel rooms are a bit “dated”, but clean, spacious and have a great view of the river! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great with an extensive selection and was quickly replenished when something was empty. We had a lovely stay.

Modern hotel located directly on the Rhine. Nice and stylish bar. Nice restaurant concept, Le Petit Chef.

I can't say anything about the rooms as there is no overnight stay.

The quality of the food was very good, unfortunately the main course was not very warm, the service was tried hard, but still had room for improvement. Despite everything, a nice evening and overall okay

A hotel facing the Rhine that can be reached in 10 minutes from Romisches Theater station. A security deposit of EUR 50 per person is required upon check-in. No money will be deducted. The staff at check-in were also friendly and easy to interact with. First of all, you have to pay for drinks from the minibar in your room. Bottled water was free of charge. My room faced south, so I couldn't see the river, but since it was a corner room, it was big enough for me to spread out my suitcase. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was spacious and helped relieve fatigue. Wifi was also very fast and I could watch Youtube comfortably. I would like to use it again when staying in Mainz.

Very nice room, very quiet. Had a river view room which has a large window that opens for fresh air. The rooms are clean and all the amenities included. Staff were friendly throughout the hotel. Enjoyed our stay.

Great location and the staff is friendly. However, the rooms are really hot during the summer. Very uncomfortable for sleeping and just relaxing in the room. The TV HDMI ports do not work and the jacuzzi has been broken for weeks. I’d definitely recommend a different hotel that may be more accommodating for the price.

I can't say anything negative about the hotel. Just great. My boss booked this hotel for me and arranged everything in advance so that he would cover all the costs. When I checked out yesterday morning, the man at the reception was very unfriendly because he didn't believe me until I called my boss. Then he believed me. Left me there. Turned around and walked away. Very unfriendly Is a woman worthless if she travels alone? Everything can be great, but the last impression is always remembered.

Great hotel in a great location right on the Rhine and close to the old town.

UPDATE June 2024 The hotel has still not apologized for the illegally charged beer, but in contrast to our visit last year, the service is incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel has a brilliant location: right on the Rhine and yet within walking distance of the old town. The lobby is excellent, the rooms are modernly furnished. The breakfast offers a lot of variety, the service is a bit sleepy. Unfortunately, the window front facing the Rhine was covered with parasols on the outside - which could indicate a lack of careful management. Unfortunately, a beer from the minibar was subsequently added to the bill we had already approved without our authorization and debited from the credit card account - true to the motto: it's not worth complaining about. That's pretty outrageous. If only there had been at least one drink that we could get something out of…. We took the dubious business practices into account in the evaluation.

It was excellent time to stay. Our reception was kind and helpful. Hotel location was great walking distance to restaurants. Getting the room with river view is a must! I was enjoy my stay. Recommend!

I had the pleasure of working as a DJ and with my photo mirror service at a company party at the Hyatt Regency Mainz. The experience was absolutely first class. The hotel impresses with its elegant atmosphere and excellent service. The staff was incredibly professional and helpful, which made working with us smooth and enjoyable. The location itself is impressive – perfect for events of all kinds.

An excellent hotel. Rooms are well kept and have everything you need. They have a fantastic breakfast included with the stay. Their bar is excellent as well. Staff is very friendly.

Actually a very good hotel! The location directly on the Rhine is perfect. The hotel is in good shape, the rooms are spacious and well equipped. The breakfast is very extensive and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If it weren't for the problem with the air conditioning. We came into a very warm room that didn't get noticeably cooler despite setting the temperature to the lowest setting. The problem was that cool and warm air was being blown in at the same time. After a repair, warm air was no longer blown in, the air conditioning system, which was actually set to cold, still did not blow any cold let alone dehumidified air into the room. Well, thank God it was just a rainy May. It would have been unbearable in midsummer.

Dirty hotel with bad service! The staff is unfriendly. The furnishings are like in a retirement home. The bed mattress is like a bathtub... good morning back pain. Saves money for the Caribbean. DE don't take cleanliness very seriously.

Very stylish hotel, great location, you can quickly get to the old town or Rheingoldhalle. Normally 5 stars, but breakfast 34€ and the whole thing times two, far too much 🙏

The hotel I stayed in during my business trip exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and looked after me very well. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. The location of the hotel was ideal as it was close to my business meeting and there were also many restaurants and shops in the area. Overall, my stay at the hotel was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend it.

Great 5-star hotel with an incredibly beautiful location on the Rhine. Friendly staff, great service and delicious breakfast. It's great that something like this exists. Absolute recommendation for a city trip to Mainz. Definitely book a room with a view of the Rhine.

Unfortunately only 2 stars this time. The service was bad. We are used to attentive staff at the Hyatt and this time we didn't feel comfortable at all. We now have mixed feelings before the next visit.

Das Hyatt Regency in Mainz ist einen Besuch wert. Trotz sehr zentraler Lage, ist die Gegend sehr ruhig. Schön am Rhein und dessen Promenade, sodass einem schönen Spaziergang nichts im Wege steht. -Die Zimmer sind geräumig. Gewählt kann werden zwischen : einer Aussicht in den Hinterhof und einem Blick zum Rhein. Nimmt man die Lage zum Hinterhof, kann man nur bedingt die Fenster geöffnet lassen (Lieferverkehr). Man verfügt über einen Wasserkocher, eine Nespressomaschine, eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Tee-und Kaffeesorten, sowie Snacks und Getränke in der Minibar. Das Bad ist ausgestattet mit einer Badewanne, sowie einer Dusche. Lotion,Duschgel, Shampoo etc. gibt es in nachfüllbaren Flaschen. Sitzmöglichkeiten, ein Tisch und Fernseher sind vorhanden. Das Zimmer ist mit Teppich ausgelegt-dieser ist sehr sauber. Das Zimmer verfügt über eine Klimaanlage und einen Safe. Fenster können gekippt werden. Betreten des Zimmer funktioniert über eine Schlüsselkarte, welche auch für den Fahrstuhl benötigt wird. -Spa: das Spa verfügt über einen Pool und einen Whirlpool. Außerdem gibt es eine Dampfsauna, sowie eine 85 Grad warme Sauna. Bademäntel und Slipper befinden sich auf dem Zimmer. Spa-Handtücher erhält man an der Rezeption des Spa's. Getränke, in Form von Kaffee, Tee und aromatisiertes Wasser sind vorhanden. Der Wellnessbereich verfügt über Liegen, welche unentgeltlich genutzt werden können. -Service : das Personal ist unglaublich bemüht und freundlich. Ganz besonders möchte ich hierbei Stella erwähnen, welche solch ein herzliches Gemüt hat, dass man sich direkt wohl und willkommen fühlt. Sie fragte uns mehrmals, ob wir noch Wünsche, beim Frühstück hätten. Kamen größere Gruppen zum Frühstück, wurde alles dafür getan diesen noch einen freien Tisch zu organisieren. Unsere Jacken wurden entgegen genommen und in der Garderobe verstaut. -Frühstück: tolle Auswahl an lokalen und internationalen Speisen. Kleine Portionen, sodass immer alles frisch zubereitet werden kann. Kaffee gibt es aus dem Automaten, aber der Geschmack ist toll. Zusätzlich stehen verschiedene Säfte, Sekt und Wasser zur Auswahl. -Lobby: sehr einladend. 2 Restaurants sind daran angeschlossen. Außerdem gibt es eine Bar, sowie einen Raucherraum. An der Rezeption können Snacks und Getränke gekauft werden. Einen Stern Abzug möchte ich für Folgendes geben : -Nachhaltigkeit : im Spa gibt es nur "Einmalbecher". Diese könnte man durch Recup ersetzen. -Keine Kaffeesahne beim Spa Kaffee -Wartezeiten an den Fahrstühlen (schwierig zu ändern) -Ausstattung Zimmer: wenig modern. Dies könnte überholt werden. -Spa: Wenn man nicht weiß, dass man den Ofen der Dampfsauna zeitweise befüllen muss, sitzt man ohne Dampf und wundert sich, warum die Saune nicht funktioniert. Wenn die Tür vom Pool zum Spabereich geöffnet ist, wird es unglaublich kalt. Keine Ausgabe von Bademänteln. Diese trocknen nur schlecht im Zimmer und sollten hier austauschbar sein. -Zimmerreinigung: eigentlich sehr zufriedenstellend. Jedoch musste ich bei der Anreise Verunreinigungen in der Toilette feststellen, die nach einmaligem Spülen beseitigt waren. Diese sahen jedoch so unappetitlich aus, dass das ein no-go war. Ansonsten war immer alles gepflegt. -Badezimmer: keine Ablagemöglichkeiten in der Dusche. Das war sehr störend. Zusätzlich ließ sich die Badezimmertür nicht abschließen. Der Badmülleimer ließ sich nicht richtig öffnen,sodass man sich immer bücken musste, sobald etwas wegwerfen wollte. -Beschilderung Treppe=Fluchtweg: diese ist nicht ausgeschildert. An den Fahrstühlen steht ein Schild, auf welchem man lesen kann, dass die Treppe als Alternative bei längeren Wartezeiten genutzt werden kann. Diese muss man aber zuerst finden, denn ein Schild steht nirgends. Fazit: tolles Hotel, mit angenehmen Gästeservice in unglaublicher Lage. Gerne wieder.

Tolles Hotel, sehr schöne Bar und ein sehr gutes Frühstück. Beim Service habe ich nur 3 Sterne gegeben, da die Mitarbeiter an der Bar völlig überfordert waren. Es bis zu 30 min. gedauert bis man die Getränke bekam.
