Einfach nur PERFEKT Wir waren zum ersten mal hier. Schon das Ambiente und die herzliche Begrüßung haben uns verzaubert. Champagner in mundgeblasenen wunderschönen Gläsern ist in anderen Restaurants eher selten. Aber hier spiegelt sich der Gastgeberpaar Julia und Tobias Lohrengel wieder. Es ist spürbar… diese zwei wundervollen Menschen lieben ihren Beruf, und sind glücklich wenn der Gast zufrieden ist. Das Essen ist mehr als perfekt. Ich hätte gerne persönlich der Küche meinen Dank ausgesprochen. Mache ich beim nächsten mal. Und die Weinauswshl ist legendär. Herzlichen Dank für dieses wunderbare Erlebnis. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

The Christmas menu was very harmonious.

A recommendation for anyone who wants to eat more upscale food in a nice atmosphere. From the first second to the last I felt very comfortable. I would particularly like to mention the male service employee. Unfortunately I didn't remember the name (everyone was super friendly). When I choked, he brought a glass of water without asking. That's what I call service! Thank you very much - our 2nd wedding anniversary had a wonderful end thanks to the visit to the restaurant.

I come from Hanover. Phew, from Hanover, some say, what exactly is this Hanover?! But if you come from Hanover, then for you this Kassel is what some people say about Hanover. Phew, Kassel, what exactly is this Kassel?! And then you suddenly end up in Humboldt 1a. So you don't expect anything and Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stuttgart or Munich are very close. At least from the gastronomic level (without it being formally star-rated) and wonderful, personal service. Excellent menus with a variety of combination options, excellent German wines, great value for money! Well, I now know exactly where I should go, so when I go, Kassel, phew, there's something there... ;-)

We all enjoyed the food - from kindergarten children to great-grandmothers. The service is excellent and even the little ones are taken into consideration with a separate children's menu and a coloring mask including perfectly sharpened pencils :-). We went to Kassel for a day trip and found this restaurant solely through reviews and chose it unknown. It was worth it. Great food and very courteous service without being intrusive. A good card and good individual recommendations so everyone felt comfortable. The selected starters, main course and the dessert plate were not only excellent in terms of quality, presentation and taste, the gastronomy also shows comfort and a cultivated atmosphere inside and out. Our expectations were met and we went home happy, full and satisfied...

The welcome was extremely friendly and you were accompanied to your seat by the service staff. The menu offers some exquisite dishes and an exquisite wine selection. There is (unfortunately) only one dish for vegetarians, this could be expanded. The quality of the food and the decoration is impeccable and would also get 6 stars. Das Humboldt 1a ist eines der besten Restaurants in Kassel. Hier bekommt man absolute Spitzenklasse geboten! Klar, das hat auch seinen Preis, das darf man nicht vergessen, aber die Qualität ist einfach ausgezeichnet. Das Ambiente ist sehr zurückhaltend, was ich sehr mag. Die Mitarbeiter sind allesamt sehr gut ausgebildet, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wer gute Küche mag, muss ins Humboldt 1a.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir wurden zum Tisch geleitet. Wir bestellten unser Essen und nach angemessener Wartezeit kamen die Köstlichkeiten – Wirklich sehr gut im Geschmack und in der Optik. Trotz Wochentag war das Restaurant gut gefüllt. Ohne Reservierung wird es schwierig einen Platz zu bekommen. Später zogen Stammgäste die Aufmerksamkeit des Service mehr auf sich. An der Akustik im Gastzimmer könnte noch etwas gefeilt werden.

Auch nach unserem in 2024 ersten Besuch in diesem Restaurant können wir feststellen, dass das Restaurant in Kassel und darüber hinaus für uns weiterhin das Beste ist. Bei unserem gestrigen Besuch hatten wir eine Seezunge die es selbst in den TOP Fischrestaurants an der Küste nicht besser gibt. Dazu eine schöne Atmosphäre und eine natürlich freundliche, aufmerksame und kompetente Bedienung. Auch die Auswahl an guten offenen Weinen ist besonders hervor zu heben. Wir kommen wieder und empfehlen einen Besuch ausdrücklich.

Man fühlt sich einfach wohl und gut aufgehoben.

Sehr lecker und schönes Ambiente. Für den Durchschnittsverdiener sicherlich nicht regelmäßig machbar (das werden bestimmt auch die Inhaber so sehen), aber wenn mal die finanzielle Möglichkeit hat, sollte man es testen.

Wunderschönes Restaurant, allerdings stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Die Speisen sind im Schnitt gut, wirken etwas angestrengt innovativ und nicht auf den Punkt gegart. Die Desserts sind auch nichts, weswegen man wiederkommen müsste, die offenen Weine in 0,15 ungewohnt sparsam und in der Größe der Gläser nicht lecker trinkbar. Der Service changiert zwischen kompetent freundlich (männliche Angestellte) und unerträglich und unfreundlich. Rangiert irgendwo auf der internationalen Rangliste im unteren mittleren Bereich.

Schönes Ambiente in der alten, früheren Direktorenvilla des benachbarten Gymnasiums. Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Essen nicht durchgehend hervorragend, z. B. ziemlich verkochtes Gemüse, aber exzellentes iberisches Schwein, Saibling etwas trocken, Mousse so lala, kein großer Unterschied zu Fertiggericht, insgesamt schon empfehlenswert bei allerdings gesalzenen Preisen, muss wohl so sein bei der Inflation!

Gastronomie der Oberklasse, kein Zweifel. Aber eher nichts zum Sattwerden. Der sehr gute Kabeljau war eindeutig ein Seniorenteller. (35,-)

Extra wünsche werden soweit möglich erfüllt. Vorspeise wurde auf 2 Portionen aufgeteilt. Rücken vom Salzwiesenlamm, ganze Seezunge und Erdnussparfait. Alles hervorragend, eben 1a. Lokal war ausgebucht, trotzdem keine lange Wartezeit.

Herausragender Service, tolles Essen und dazu passende Weine. Alles bestens. Das Ambiente ist im Innen- und Außenbereich hervorragend.

Wir waren an einem Samstag hier. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, allerdings die Atmosphäre ruhig und sehr privat. Das Essen war hervorragend, wir hätten uns jedoch eine bessere Weinberatung gewünscht.

Wir haben nach unserer standesamtlichen Trauung im 1A Humboldt auf der Terrasse gemeinsam mit unserer Hochzeitsgesellschaft gegessen. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich lecker, der Service sehr, sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend, vorausschauend. Wir sind glücklich, das wir uns hierfür entschieden haben.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und kommen gern wieder. Nur die Speisekarte nehmen wir zukünftig ernster: wenn die Beschreibung in der Einzahl ist, bekommst Du auch nur eine Muschel 😳, da war es dann auch egal, dass das das einzige war, bei dem der Gargrad daneben gegangen ist… Der Rest war wie erwartet top!

Mein Mann hatte mich gestern zum Dinner in das Restaurant eingeladen. Wir hatten am selbten Tag online einen Tisch reserviert. Direkt beim Eintreten, wurden wir höflich begrüßt mit Namen und zu unserem Tisch gebracht. Uns wurde gleich angeboten die Mäntel abzulegen und uns wurde sehr zuvorkommend die Menükarten gereicht. Empfehlungen wurden ausgesprochen. Wir hatten zuerst Brot mit Aioli und gesalzene butter als Aperitif bekommen. Sehr lecker. Danach hatten wir eine Vorspeise, Hauptspeise sowie drei Nachtische. Alles ein vollkommener Genuss👌 Der Service war nicht aufdringlich, sondern zur richtigen Zeit da und sehr zuvorkommend. Also 5 Sterne für das ganze Team und das vorzügliche Essen. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder 🤩 Vielen Dank

Sehr romantisch gelegen. Fleissiges zuvorkommendes Personal Das Restaurant ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Essen war vorzüglich, man kann den Köchen sogar bei ihrer Arbeit zusehen. Leider kann man entweder nur drinnen oder draußen sitzen. Die Portionen könnten etwas größer sein, wir hatten noch ein Hüngerchen...

Zu diesem Restaurant muß man nicht viel sagen. In allen Disziplinen (Essen, Service, Ambiente, etc.) ist das Humboldt1a in der Champions League anzusehen. Danke an das komplette Team. Weiter so.

Statt Kartoffelpüree La Ratte- Kartoffeln, auf der Speisekarte vorhanden, waren nicht möglich. Das Teilen einer Vorspeise ( die an sich lächerlich klein war, das «  Rösti « war ein dünner Reibekuchen von max. 4 cm Durchmesser, der dann geteilt wurde) schlug unangekündigt mit mehr als 20% Aufschlag zu Buche. Dieses Restaurant ist in höchstem Maße überbewertet und nicht zu empfehlen. Als Einladende war es mir sehr peinlich und unangenehm. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön, die Speisen und der Service können nicht mithalten. Schade.

Besser geht es kaum. Ein altes Rektorenhaus, das seinen edlen alten Charme kombiniert mit modernen Lampen ect. erhalten hat. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen unglaublich. Vorspeise, Hauptgang,Nachtisch,Getränke, alles perfekt und mit Liebe zum Detail.

Unfassbar gutes Essen und außerordentlich guter Service. Alle Gänge haben mich vollstens davon überzeugt das ein wahrer Meister in der Küche steht.

Wir waren Sonntag Abend im Humboldt1a essen. Das Essen war etwas besonderes und außergewöhnlich lecker. Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert waren ein echtes Geschmackserlebnis und alles schmeckte sogar noch besser als es auf den Fotos aussieht (auch wenn man es kaum glauben mag...). Dazu gab es eine tolle Empfehlung für die Weinbegleitung. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, angenehm zurückhaltend und sehr nett. Alles in allem kann ich mich nur für das Erlebnis bedanken. Für einen Abend im Humboldt1a lohnt es sich nach Kassel zu kommen.

Das gediegene Ambiente, der gehobene Service, die Führung durch den Abend wie auch die grandiosen Gerichte wurden bisher Gott sei Dank vom Mainstream unbeachtet gelassen. Ein Rückzugsort für Seele und Gaumen mit gehobener Gastronomie.

Ich habe einen wundervollen Abend mit köstlichem Essen in einem wunderschönen, stimmigen Ambiente verbracht. Mit Recht ist das Restaurant eines der besten in Kassel. Alle Menschen im Service sind unaufdringlich, unkompliziert und super nett. Die Speisen werden sehr ansprechend präsentiert und haben tolle Geschmacksnuancen. Eine besondere Überraschung an diesem Abend war der Genuss eines köstlichen Brands aus sizilianischen Mandarinen. Preis- Leistung ist in dieser Lokalität überragend. Rundum eine klare Empfehlung.

Last minute reservation. We got a nice table. The food was delicious and sophisticated. The wine pairing was bang on good! The dessert (humboldt chocolade) was the crown jewel: moelleux au chocolat served to perfection with white chocolate ice and a chocolate mousse. The building is by the way also very interesting and an attraction in it’s own right!

The filet was one of the best I have ever experienced, the cocktails were perfect and the owner suggested an amazing wine that we immediately ordered a case for delivery. I highly recommend Humboldt 1a.

We are frequent guests of the Humbold 1a. The cuisine is just great - i am surprised that they have not received a Michelin star yet. However, the service is great and creates a nice hospitality. During summer time the garden is awesome.

My husband and I are from the US and spend the winter months each year traveling around various parts of Europe enjoying the cuisine, the sights and the people. We somewhat randomly choose this restaurant when we came into the city for the first time and are so glad we did. The service, presentation and food were superb. The staff was very helpful and kind. We had tomato, basil soup, house salad with goat cheese, gnocchi in tomatoes and the chicken. The flavors in each dish were delicious. I will go as far as saying my gnocchi and soup were some of the best I have ever eaten. We were too full for dessert but finished with a good cappuccino. The prices were very good for such excellent quality. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Can to this place after recommendation of our friends and were super happy. Food was great, they are very friendly and helpful-we had 2 kids along. Location is right in the center of the city and easy to get to. Our dinner was delicious and all courses we had came together and warm. Service was super- 5stars from us.

I was in Kassel for documenta 14 and took a group for dinner at Humboldt 1a. This restaurant, the surroundings, food and the service was admired and appreciated by the whole group. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
