We almost walked past... the exterior of the building spoke to me. We didn't know what to expect... We were warmly welcomed and offered a table by the fireplace. Inside the tavern it is as if you have been transported to another time..., simply first class 👍 Wow 🤩 I think I read 1725 on one of the wooden beams... I was so excited that I had to go through the tavern and look at everything. I was very impressed. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. The food was also excellent. I've only seen the way it was prepared and tasted twice. The cook deserves more than one star. For me a top class restaurant. This is more than just a clear recommendation.

Excellent home-style German cuisine. Everything is prepared with a lot of heart and patience. The service is very attentive, but at the same time not intrusive. After the meal, the chef and owner of the restaurant asked whether everything was OK and entertained us with some friendly chat. The prices are not unreasonable, but the price-performance ratio is good. We would love to come back!

Rustic atmosphere inside, garden atmosphere outside despite being in the city. Eating is a dream. It is basically a steak shop, but there is also a limited selection of other dishes, but you can taste that all the dishes have been tasted and perfected down to the last detail. I think this is the best restaurant I've ever been to and that I visit regularly and I'm very critical ;)

We spent our New Year's Eve there and were able to enjoy a perfect 4-course menu at star level. If you want to spend a perfect culinary evening, this is the right place for you! We always enjoy coming here and are already looking forward to our next visit. Keep it up!

Rare to experience: picturesque/nostalgic ambience and very good Westphalian cuisine of excellent quality... we were thrilled with the dishes on the seasonal menu. I have never eaten the dish “Heaven and Earth” so well anywhere. The “beef fillet with gorgonzola sauce” was pure enjoyment (perfect medium!!!!). And the pike perch made me want more... Compliments to the chef: The potatoes were very delicious and I was thrilled by the delicate salad dressing, finally being able to enjoy a salad without the dressing gossip...Thank you for this very nice culinary experience! We'll be back!

Waited 1 1/2 hours for the menu after ordering. The first drink came after about 50 minutes. This performance would not have existed in an old Soest brewery, which was chosen for the next visit during our very long wait. I have to say that the food was really delicious when it finally arrived. Prices are not necessarily cheap.

For the price you pay there, we definitely expected “more”. There were also some things on the plate that weren't on the menu. And for people who have allergies or, like me, can't tolerate spicy things, it's totally stupid and a lot is thrown away! In addition, the service was not exactly friendly and inflexible. My friend had stomach surgery and can no longer eat that much, so she asked to only get a handful of fries. (So ​​that not so much food is wasted!) The only answer was: No, we can't make the portions smaller! Then the salad was put on the table and something fell off one of them. I know from other restaurants that the waitress apologizes, cleans up the "dirt" and brings a new salad or at least offers it. NOTHING!!! 🤷‍♀️ So we decided not to eat there anymore.

Wir waren gestern zum Gänsekeulen Essen in diesem wunderschönen Restaurant. Habe noch nie so leckere Gans gegessen. Die Weinempfehlung der Woche passte hervorragend dazu, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein herrlicher Abend den wir sehr genossen haben. Herzlichen Dank.

Super gemütliches Restaurant, wenn man Glück hat bekommt man einen Platz im Kaminzimmer. Das Essen egal ob Steak oder einen Salat sind immer lecker. Hier wird alles mit sehr großer Sorgfalt zubereitet. Ergänzend muss ich leider auch sagen, das Steak könnte für das Geld größer ausfallen. Gerade wenn Mann Hunger hat. Habe zwei Bilder hinzugefügt, Vorspeise Gambas in Knoblauch und das Steak Gericht mit Kräuterbutter. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Zu viel Zeit vor dem Kino gehabt und eher zufällig dort gelandet. Nichts erwartet und glücklich wieder herausgekommen. Hier wurde alles richtig gemacht. Sehr gute Speisen und top Service. So wie man es sich wünscht aber leider immer seltener bekommt. Danke für das tolle Erlebnis.

Vielleicht eine ungewöhnliche Rezension: ich hatte mich eigentlich sehr geärgert, dass wir an einem Samstag gegen 19:45 Uhr keinen Tisch mehr bekommen hatten, obwohl draußen gefühlt ein Drittel des Biergartens leer war. Habe mich mit dem Inhaber unterhalten. Er hat mir erklärt, dass er im Innenbereich sehr viele Tische belegt hatte, was dazu führt, dass wenn er noch mehr Gäste annehmen würde, die Wartezeiten auf das Essen zu lange werden würden. Er hätte lieber zufriedene Gäste als viele Einmal-Gäste. Also werden wir nächstes Mal unbedingt vorher telefonisch reservieren. Denn was bei den anderen Gästen auf dem Teller lag, sah sehr lecker aus….

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Fleisch war optimal gegart. Besonders lecker war die Jus. Hier ist ein echter Koch am Herd. Das Ambiente im Außenbereich war sehr angenehm. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Die Hülsemanns Schänke gehört seit vielen Jahren zu meinen Lieblingsrestaurants und ich kann es sehr empfehlen. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und und der Service ist persönlich und aufmerksam. Äußerst schönes Restaurant in einem historischen Gebäude im Herzen von Lippstadt. Knuffig gemütliche Einrichtung. Hier bereitet schon das Hereinkommen Freude. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das Essen war fabelhaft gut. Die Preise sind völlig angemessen. Für Freund*innen kultivierter deutscher Küche ist Hülsemanns Schänke ein unbedingtes "Muss".

Das Essen war absolut spitze, die Wartezeit angemessen und der Service freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir haben zu zweit auf der sehr schönen Terrasse gegessen. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen super lecker und schnell am Tisch. Die Portionen schon fast zu mächtig. Zum Hauptgang war die Vorspeise schon zu viel. Besser man kommt mit seeeehr großem Hunger, oder isst nur einen Hauptgang

Service freundlich aber ... naja Sie meinte es gut. Ambiente innen altbacken und gar nicht mein Ding. Draußen sitzt man gut. Essen soll gut sein (mein Steak hatte eine echt fette Sehne). Den besten Eindruck machte so ein Putenbrust-Salat

Das Essen ist fantastisch! Der Koch kommt auch in die Gaststube und hält Smalltalk mit den Gästen. Der Service ist super! Alle sind sehr nett, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente einfach schön und urgemütlich. Bei schönem Wetter gibt es Sitzgelegenheiten draußen.

Very traditional place with delicious German cuisine

Es ist nicht günstig aber sehr leckeres Essen ! Nettes Personal (auch bei vollem Haus) und der Chef geht später durch das Restaurant und fragt nach,ob es gemundet hat.

Mein Lieblingsrestaurant in Lippstadt. Ich empfehle zu reservieren.
