Der Hülshoff Restaurant Hotel in Lippstadt

We celebrated a big wedding in Kotten and Deele in November 24 and what can I say. The location, the service, the food, everything was great. The reception got off to a bit of a slow start at the beginning because many guests moved straight inside due to the cool temperatures and we had actually invited people to the reception outside with a fire bowl and cocktail bar. After a few minutes and a note, the service immediately started serving inside and from then on it was a perfect event all around. Many bad reviews here have a reason, a lack of agreement. We always made it clear to Nils and Matti what we would like and what we value. And our wedding was scheduled to end at 4 o'clock. It was completely okay that we didn't get any more drinks because the staff had to clean up. We then drank the last round in peace, said goodbye to the guests and then went to bed at a quarter to five. Thank God there are rooms on site 😉. Otherwise, we were able to develop freely, with a children's play area with building blocks, a photo box, a candy bar and simply lots of lovely people who are still enthusiastically reporting on a really great celebration and thanking us for it. I can only recommend the Hülshoff as a dream backdrop for a celebration. You just have to clearly agree in advance what you want to do and how and who needs access and when. Everything went smoothly for us - but it also helped because we talked to each other a lot beforehand.

Good evening. We recently had our funeral coffee, Cake & sandwiches as a complete package per person, plus we also ordered extra soup. Unfortunately there was no cake 2 half slices with simple toppings per person. Cocoa would still be ordered, Everyone was eating, drinking coffee, and we had waited almost half an hour for cocoa. When asked, the older lady said - The conditions "You have to wait, you can't do that now, soup will come soon." Totally unfriendly, While others had soup (if you can call it soup) we finally got our cocoa. The soup, pure disaster, No taste, it tasted like water, the soup was in an open soup tureen and quickly got cold. As for the disabled toilet, terrible what happened there. !!! We had a guest who was only dependent on a wheelchair. I wanted to go to the toilet, unfortunately the door was locked We had the waitress as the boss also asked, said that the door is locked? "We're sorry, the disabled toilet is being renovated. You have to go to the men's toilet. So outrageous. It is not recommended as neither celebrations nor funerals are farewell food to gain weight. Total disasters.

Were only there for an event. Waiters were quick even though there were a lot of guests there. Parking options seem rather limited.

I was a DJ at a wedding at the location and have never experienced such unfriendly behavior in 21 years as a DJ. We registered in advance in writing for the technology to be set up 2 hours before the start of the event (runs automatically via the agency I work with). The event went ahead as planned and there were no problems. Food service was good from my point of view and from the guests' point of view! But what turned things around was the absolutely outrageous behavior after the event. Since as a DJ I always bring my equipment with me, it should be clear that we will take it with us after the event and will need some time for it. About 1:15 1:25 were scheduled for this. After about 20 minutes I was very rudely asked to leave and pick up the technology the next day. When I pointed out that this was not possible because 1. the technology was not insured at Hülshoff and 2. it would be a significant effort for me to drive 60 km to Hamm and then pick everything up again the next day, I only got the answer that he (the boss) doesn't give a shit. I didn't give a shit that he had to wait for me until I was finished. Of course I only left with my material. This was only possible because I threatened to call the police to get my material. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE behavior by the restaurateur. He justified the whole thing by saying that his staff actually finished work at 3 a.m. The music played exactly until 3:53. If that is the case and he is not allowed or willing to let his staff work overtime, he either has to organize a shift change or end the event earlier (of course in consultation with the guests). Other than dismantling the technology straight away, I haven't done that in 21 years as a DJ and I won't. The exception is of course very large events with a corresponding security service etc. But we are talking about a wedding with 55 people or so. As a guest and DJ, the location will no longer see me. I have never been dismissed so unkindly from a restaurant. The statement that he (the boss) has no contractual relationship with me and that I should read the terms and conditions in advance says a lot about his character. The fact that you can't say goodbye or goodbye to a guest who I'm also a DJ is just another matter. Last but not least, I noticed that the hour that I actually needed just to dismantle it was supposed to be charged to the bride and groom. Absolute nonsense if you ask me and unfortunately I don't recommend it because of how it behaves. You can feel more welcome in other locations. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: Some sockets fall out of the walls and are not secured properly. Small children can easily get to live wires here. I can't say whether this is the case in the rooms, but there were at least 3 such sockets in the room where the event took place. I can't say anything about the rooms, other than that I thought the location was nice, but unfortunately the behavior leaves a deep impression.

Nice ambience. Delicious food. Small menu, but something for everyone. Very nice staff.

Disaster. Negative reviews will be deleted. Don't plan any events there!

Not recommended. Events organized at Hülshoff, such as weddings, are not recommended because the organizer does not display an objective and professional manner. We really hoped for more!

I have been wanting to go to this venue for 3 decades, as my brother lived nearby. My great niece was married here this September. The staff, the service, and food, were outstanding. It was a perfect day.

We celebrated our wedding in October 2024 with 65 guests in the Kotten. The support in advance, the service on site as well as the food and the location as a whole were fantastic. We are completely satisfied!

Good restaurant with fine cuisine at fair prices. Another insider tip in Lippstadt. I'd love to come here. The staff is attentive and the location is quiet in the countryside.

We celebrated our wedding in July in Deele, Hülshoff and are completely satisfied. The planning with Nils & team was always great and exceeded our wishes. We celebrated our wedding in June 2024 with around 95 guests at Hülshoff in Deele: free wedding ceremony, champagne reception, meal and subsequent celebration. The location was an absolute dream for us. The weather was on our side and we were able to have the wedding ceremony take place outside. The great thing about the location: There is also a “bad weather alternative” for the wedding ceremony in the hayloft, which also has a really nice atmosphere! For the wedding, the Hülshoff had already set up a water buffet by arrangement so that the guests were supplied even in the warmer temperatures. For the meal we decided on Spanish delicacies for the table, for the main course on a grill buffet and for dessert on two different types of mousse. The food was really delicious - both we and our guests loved it! The service was consistently very nice, competent and quick. The entire team always gave us very good advice and support throughout the entire planning period and always tried to implement all of our wishes and ideas (and we were told that we had a few 😉). Big thanks especially to Matti and Nils, who and their team gave everything to give us the perfect day we wanted. You did it! 😊 All in all, an absolute heartfelt recommendation. 🤍

We were out in the restaurant last week and were very impressed. Great food, beautifully prepared, very nice service and a wonderful atmosphere. We'll be back tomorrow 😊

I have often eaten in the restaurant or in the beer garden. The last time we enjoyed the BBQ & wine evening in the beer garden. A more idyllic location, a more beautiful view and a better-kept beer garden with higher quality furnishings would be difficult to find. I love looking out over the Lippeaue and being pampered by the very courteous and attentive staff. We once had the summer salad with buttery saltimbocca chicken and the truffle pasta with flamed salmon. Both were simply delicious, a big compliment to the kitchen. I particularly like the fact that you can decide for yourself which side dishes and how many you get. So it's very individual, depending on how hungry you are. I even accept a further journey to spend a relaxing and enjoyable evening here. My absolute restaurant recommendation.

Great beer garden in a quiet, green location close to the city

Very nice restaurant. Very tasty, delicious food, very nicely prepared (as we all know, the eye is bad 😉)!! Very friendly staff. The atmosphere was great (sat outside in the beer garden) but I'm sure it's great inside too.😊 Also great for cyclists as a stopover or conclusion. Absolute recommendation! I'll definitely come back again.

Great ambience, quite high prices, at least for drinks, I didn't eat anything... there was little staff, so we often had to wait longer, but the beer garden is really nice!

I had my graduation ceremony there on Friday and would definitely advise everyone not to celebrate such a big event there. There was very little space there; if there had been no tables outside, not everyone would have fit in the location. Another negative point is definitely the food, it was announced for 8:15 p.m.; At around 9 p.m. the buffet was opened for the first table. I was sitting at the last table and when it was our turn to get food there was hardly anything left, the "warm" food was cold and the "washed" plates had dirty ones. In addition, the staff was obviously annoyed and overwhelmed. Furthermore, the dance floor should be used be enlarged by pushing tables aside, this was also not done. The celebration cost us €60 per person, of which €15 was a flat rate for drinks and some non-alcoholic drinks were shown on the menu. which still contained alcohol (this could end very badly, especially for people who are not allowed to drink alcohol for health reasons). After the meal, we spoke to one of the staff about the food and we were told that we had eaten incorrectly because we hadn't all the tables went to the buffet one after the other but were mixed up and that the last table was unlucky and that our graduation party was probably the last graduation party at Hülshoff. Definitely not recommended!

Doesn't work at all... We celebrated our graduation there last week. The staff and the security provided were so unfriendly that you hardly felt comfortable. The meal itself cost €40 per person for a mediocre buffet. To do this, you had to buy a consumption card worth €20 at the entrance, even if you didn't want to drink anything. You were only allowed in after paying the €20. This was not communicated beforehand by the operator, so some people didn't have any cash with them and were therefore not allowed in. The staff at the counter were visibly dissatisfied and let it out to the guests. Patty answers were given and a lot of things were often spilled when the drinks were served. Not to mention that the staff consumed alcoholic drinks themselves. At the end of the celebration, the organizer came over and rudely explained that without the consumption cards you wouldn't earn anything. The operator refused to explain that it made no sense to use up the minimum amount on the consumption card in order to get some of the money back. Either you order more drinks or you don't get some of your money back. All in all, an evening to forget. This is not how we imagined our unique graduation! Answer: It's a shame that you avoid any justified criticism. We definitely won't be coming back!

Had a graduation party there. The concept was good, but the food came over 1 hour late and took over 3 hours. The principle with tokens was quite good, but after a certain time you couldn't buy any more. The location is of course very nice, but overall it could have been done much better. Especially since such events happen there more often

If you celebrate then here! Absolute recommendation for this location. We celebrated a birthday and stayed in the restaurant. There were two weddings next door but everything is separated. The location is beautiful and the outdoor area is really well maintained, beautifully lit in the dark and inviting in good weather. But my highlight was clearly the food. Wow, it was all delicious and appealing. At the beginning there were small snacks on the tables outside. Later we had super delicious salmon and the potato aioli was just so, so good. The other dishes such as the salads, ribs or the warm baguette were also delicious, but the dishes mentioned above are particularly memorable to me Everything was very attractively prepared, of the highest quality and simply tasted great! Big compliments to the kitchen! The service was also super friendly, attentive and quick. You really felt completely comfortable!

Great location, nice service and good food

Beautiful beer garden in a quiet, idyllic location. It has everything that makes a typical Bavarian beer garden: self-service, Bavarian specialties like sausage salad and Obazda, affordable prices and a good dose of cosiness!

Not visited as a hotel. When there are events, you can celebrate very well there.

I was just here to eat. A meeting of the beekeeping association. We would like to come again. The food was tasty, good and the price was right too. Service was great. Hotel was not used.

Highly recommended for weddings and other celebrations. Food and drinks were great, service was very accommodating and friendly. All wishes were fulfilled as a matter of course. Great ambience with a large and well-kept outdoor area. We had a wonderful celebration ✨

Small menu, super great, very high quality food. The ambience is excellent and the service leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. All in all, absolutely recommended! We would definitely like to come back.
