We only went to the restaurant. We weren't staying at the hotel. It was by chance. The first option was closed. It was a little late, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, the prices weren't bad, the staff was very friendly, and on the last day of our stay, to say goodbye to our vacation, we went back and left very happy. 100% recommended.

Well, I actually really like the place. It's beautifully decorated, and the food is excellent. But I'm a bit disappointed. I wanted to hold a family celebration there with an overnight stay, but since it was a weekend when the rooms might be available for more than one night, I was turned away. I accept this approach, but it will have consequences for me! I've found what I'm looking for elsewhere!

The restaurant offers a pleasant, upscale atmosphere in which you can feel at home. The furnishings are stylish without seeming cluttered. The service was friendly and quick – just the right thing to feel like you were in good hands. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. The meals were tasty and of good quality. The portions were sufficient and the preparation was convincing. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the mid to high range, which is fine considering the quality. Overall, a recommended restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

We had a reservation there for 12 people and were very satisfied with everything, the service, and the food. Definitely recommended.

Very nice, romantically furnished rooms with a good bed and (very nice!) parquet floors. Modern and well-equipped bathroom. Atmospheric atmosphere throughout the house, young, friendly and attentive service team. Plentiful breakfast! Overall a very good price/performance ratio. Parking spaces in the courtyard (fills up quickly in the evenings) and in the surrounding streets, great location in the old town and good connections to public transport.

Summer in the beer garden, winter inside with a stadium atmosphere... Plus good food, quick and friendly service, football heart, what more could you want

Classic ambience and tremendous schnitzel!

Cozy restaurant with good food. In warm weather you can sit outside. Baden cuisine with many seasonal specialties. The portions are generous. Middle price segment. The service is friendly, fast and attentive. Sporting events are broadcast in an adjacent building. A tram stop is in the immediate vicinity.

This review refers to the hotel. We stayed one night in a suite on the second floor of the hotel, and enjoyed it very much. Quiet and warm hotel, comfortable bed and tactical location (a few meters from charging stations for medium and fast charging, and about twenty minutes walk from the center of Freiburg). Parking available at the rear of the property. At breakfast we were able to enjoy hot bread with eggs and cold cuts, jams, chocolate, juices and coffee in the same room used as a restaurant during the evening. The open kitchen is beautiful.

We had dinner in the restaurant with a group of 14 people. From the moment we booked we felt we were in good hands. The service was very attentive and courteous. Very nice atmosphere, we had a starter and main course of beef goulash with spaetzle. Potatoes with vegetables/salad. Excellent, really delicious. Great draft beer. Nice atmosphere, lovely people! If we see Freiburg again, we'll come back!!!

Unfortunately, I always have to eat there as part of training courses. The beer garden is nice, the service is fast. But that was it. The food has now become disproportionately expensive, including lunch. The quality and quantity are no longer right, they are mini portions at a high price. In the future I will look for something else as an alternative. I can't recommend the food here.

The nice beer garden invites you to linger. Sitting there in the shade is very comfortable, especially on warm, sunny days. Food tastes good and the price is right. Service was always friendly and despite the crowds, the food was delivered quickly.

We were in the restaurant a few days ago. Ambience and service very good, nothing to complain about. But the risotto with eggplant was only lukewarm, the plate was cold, and the risotto was undercooked. The tarte flambée wasn't cooked either, actually not edible, indefinable topping. It's a shame, given the beautiful decor and the friendly service.

Very nice, rustic rooms, you immediately feel comfortable and welcome there (candles were lit at the tables) and due to the size, a dog or an infant can be accommodated at the neighboring table without stress. Service was full of enthusiasm, tarte flambée with cheese from Ringlihof, very well seasoned salad. But the street outside offers no entertainment.

I have been visiting the restaurant for at least ten years. I also frequented the lunch menu as a pick-up restaurant during the Corona period. The one on July 19th The “Mediterranean salad” served did not meet my expectations. The salad dressing was watery, tasteless and of insufficient consistency. This is unfortunate as I come in the summer not primarily for the food but for the beer garden. I will avoid this restaurant in the future. I showed the waiter the yellowed lettuce leaves and asked him to report this to the kitchen. In such a case, it would be appropriate if he informed the boss.

In summer/when the weather is good I find the beer garden very nice and recommended, good location and pleasant to sit. Depending on the day's mood and workload, the staff can sometimes be a bit overwhelmed; you may have to wait a little longer. However, feedback is always received professionally and politely and the staff were friendly and courteous in every situation. Food and drinks are very good quality.

Good place to be👌 Top beer garden. Fast and friendly staff. After the football stadium, the best place to watch a Bundesliga game. A former bowling alley was converted into the “Kaiser Franz” where you can watch football on the screen and several screens right next to the tap. Top address!

In the restaurant you actually feel like you have been transported back to imperial times: the rooms with the striped wallpaper, the stucco on the ceiling and the elegant herringbone parquet have charm! The food was delicious, including the vegetarian dishes. You were served after a short time and were repeatedly asked attentively. It was a nice and delicious hour in the Kaiser :) ... And the associated beer garden there on the edge of the city also looks rustic.

We have never been received as warmly and kindly as by Sebastian in any hotel! Most of the employees are also super friendly. The hotel rooms are very cutely decorated. One star deducted for not being able to darken the room and for the fact that there is not enough space between the toilet and the sink, so you have to sit at an angle.

Had dinner at Kaiser this evening and was very disappointed with the quality of the food. It was cold and not prepared as usual. That is really a shame !

I was there with friends for a public viewing. Great service, acceptable prices as well as lots of monitors and a great atmosphere.

Review is for the restaurant, rated relative to pubs and casual dining. We love this place and come here at least once on every visit to Freiburg. Food is consistently good. The outdoor area, see photo, is especially pleasant. Sit under the shade of the chestnut tree and enjoy your dinner and a local beer. Really lovely.

Unfortunately very disappointing. You used to be able to eat well here. Meanwhile the prices are extremely high and the food isn't really that special (käsespätzle doesn't really taste like cheese, has hardly any flavor, fried potatoes in a mini bowl with salad and bibleskäs for €17 is cheeky) In order to get a menu, even though we had already been seen and the restaurant wasn't full, I had to get one myself.

I always come here to eat, especially at company events. So far the food and service have always been great.

We went there spontaneously and got a table without a reservation. The service was very friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Ich sitz am liebsten an dem kleinen runden Tisch in der Mitte. Was ich essen will weiß ich vorher. Es ist schnell serviert und immer ausgezeichnet. Der Service ist schnell und sehr freundlich. Einmal im Monat bin ich da während einer Wartezeit. Ich glaub die kennen mich schon. Angenehme Atmosphäre.

Wir waren als Gruppe an einem Wochenende im Kaiser. Was mir besonders positiv aufgefallen ist: viele freundliche Mitarbeitende, heute keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Dazu ein schöner Biergarten, mit viel Herzblut eingerichtete Location zum Fußball schauen und das Restaurant war immer gut besucht.

Wir sind dort beim letzten Auswärtsspiel des SCs gegen Frankfurt, im "Fußballzimmer", gewesen. Gut besucht, es gab auch noch einen Fernseher im Garten, bei schlechtem Wetter, wird's sicher kuschliger. Für Raucher gibt's sogar einen Raucherraum. Gut gegessen und getrunken, das Dessert sogar von der Hauptkarte, was will man mehr.

Etwas unruhiger Service aber insgesamt in Ordnung

Am Einschulungstag spontan und kurzfristig für 6 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder Doppeltisch im Biergarten reserviert. Von der Bestellung bis zur Bereitstellung sowie der zwischenzeitlichen Betreuung war der gesamte Service perfekt. Sehr aufmerksame und kinderfreundliche Bedienung trotz lebhafter Kinder. Schmackhafte Speisen und Getränke (Carpaccio vom Ochsenfilet, Schnitzel vom Schwein „Wiener Art“, Flammkuchen „Günter“, Perlhuhnbrust aus dem Ofen, Pommes und hausgemachte Spätzle; Weiß- und Rotwein, Weizen). Danke schön für den tollen Abend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Waren hier mit der Familie zum Essen. Das Essen wir nicht so schmackhaft. Schade

Wir haben hier zum Geburtstag meiner Nichte mit 15 Personen gegessen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und schnell. Getränke kamen zügig und auch auf Nachbestellungen wurde schnell reagiert. Wir haben uns das Schnitzel mit Pommes und Bratensoße, einen Schweizer Wurstsalat mit Käse, dazu Bratkartoffeln und einen Beilagensalat geteilt. Das Schnitzel vom Schwein und die Pommes (einen Tick zu blond,Salz fehlt) waren solide.Die Bratensoße convenience. Die Bratkartoffeln (könnten einen Tick ausgebratener und weniger an Öl/Butter haben) & der Wurstsalat waren tip top! Sehr lecker. Der Beilagensalat war auch gut. Kleiner Tipp ! Beilagen wie Pommes etc. sollte man auch extra und nicht als große Einzelportion ordern können. Der Biergarten ist schön gediegen! Alles in allem verdiente 4 Sterne.

Ein Biergarten wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Man sitzt auf orginal Biertischgarnituren unter Schatten spendenden Kastanienbäumen. Die Küche vortrefflich, und natürlich auch das Bier. Der Innenraum der Gaststätte so, wie man Ihn selten noch sieht. Ein toller Geheimtip
