Hotel Restaurant Spinnerhof in Sasbachwalden

On October 5th, 2024 we were able to celebrate our wedding in the Spinnerhof (event barn). It was a top celebration. You can't imagine a better location. Advice and preparation were great! Sandra Hoffmann in particular gave us great support. Everything worked. We can only recommend it!

The Hotel-Restaurant Spinnerhof is located in the wine village of Sasbachwalden. In addition to an indescribable atmosphere and a heavenly view of the Rhine Valley, you have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal both in the restaurant and on the newly built terrace. The service always has the customer in mind and takes special requests into account immediately. In addition to the restaurant, the Spinnerhof also has a hotel with newly furnished rooms. We celebrated our wedding here and were well looked after by the staff. An employee took a lot of time in advance to perfectly coordinate the wedding process with us, including all the details such as decorations and food. The event location available, among other things, really offers everything you need. No matter whether photo box, candy bar or projector. Everything could be used. Our tip: The St. Katharina Peace Chapel is also part of the farm and can be booked for independent weddings. We did exactly that. First the wedding and then the big celebration. There has now also been an open space where even the community of Sasbachwalden can officially get married. Certainly fantastic in summer when the temperatures are warm. Thanks again to the team. I had lunch at Spinnerhof restaurant. The Käsespätzle was a little bit heavily cheesy for my taste (I remember it was more creamy before but I may be wrong), but nicely served. The service quality is very good and the atmosphere is nice too.

On October 26th, 2024 we celebrated our wedding in the event barn. Sandra gave us great support and advice right from the planning stage. She was able to fully respond to our wishes and ideas. The celebration itself was a complete success :) The room was beautifully decorated, the service girls were friendly and quick. The plentiful food was delicious and was highly praised by all our guests. This evening rounded off our wedding perfectly. We are still very enthusiastic and can warmly recommend the Spinnerhof!

We enjoyed the meal and the quality of the products

The best thing about the place is the view. The food was ok, but completely overpriced. If I e.g. For example, if I order truffle pasta, I expect truffles on top. There was no sign of that. You could still clearly see the truffle at the next table. I think it was just used up for us. When I complained, the waiter told me very rudely that it was only truffle oil and that I would otherwise have to pay twice as much if I expected truffles. If that's the case, I don't expect pasta with truffle oil in the description, as written pasta with truffle. The rest of the service had an Asian touch and didn't understand a word of German. If you want good service and good food, you're better off going somewhere else.

This Sunday we went to your restaurant before a hike. Inside you were full and you were offered a place outside. We had to insist after 1/2 that we take our order. Once taken we waited 1 hour. Seeing nothing coming, we asked the waiter what it was. He couldn't tell us anything despite his comings and goings in the kitchen!!!!Result after 1h30 we paid for our drinks and left. To flee their organization is catastrophic.

Worst service i got in a restaurant in a very long time. 15 min to even get a menu, then another 10 min passed until i got tired of waiting and called the waiter to take our order. I will say the cordon bleu was very good to my taste, even one of the better onea i ate in germany. But we also ordered a burger which they didnt even let us choose the level of "doneness" and it came completely rare. After we asked to grill it a bit more we understood why they had to give it rare. The meat doesnt fit to a burger, its super dry and without any fat. General experience was very bad. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone especially with the overpriced menu.

We had on September 28th. our wedding in the event barn in the Spinnerhof. It was just a dream. Motto: Harry Potter 😉 The location is so beautiful, modern and rustic combined. We also immediately liked Sandra Hoffmann, the event planner, and supported us with all of our questions and plans regarding our wedding. The BBQ buffet was just a dream... You didn't even know where to start. Everyone was full and completely satisfied. Everyone who stayed overnight was also very happy with their rooms and the breakfast in the morning left nothing to be desired. Thank you very much for the wonderful time with you.

Very tasty food. There was Black Forest Cordon Bleu with smoked ham and mountain cheese.

We celebrated our wedding there on September 28th, 2024. Ultimately, you can only rave about the quality of the food, the service at the celebration and the support provided in advance by Ms. Hoffmann. Our guests also really liked the great view of the sunset over the Rhine plain. The planning phase before our big day gave us a lot of joy and thanks to the professional input of our contact person, who has obviously already seen a few events at the Spinnerhof, our most beautiful day really turned into a great overall package. Even if we don't do it anymore, we would celebrate our wedding there again.

Excellent dishes, excellent service. The only downside is that the dishes are not accompanied by salad, unlike other restaurants in Schwarzwald.

Very nice restaurant, successful renovation, very clean, we always like to come back

We had a two-day event here including an evening. The training rooms are great, modern, bright and well-equipped. We were very well looked after during the day and always had enough drinks and delicious snacks in between. Lunch was very tasty and the tarte flambée in the evening was really exceptional! When we were rewarded in the evening with a magnificent view of a sunset (see pictures) it was perfect.

As a guest at a wedding dinner. The braised beef cheeks were a hit. The entire rooms are very well ventilated.

What a beautifully located hotel, restaurant and conference center. Unique view, nice people, rooms new and very clean, soft towels, delicious breakfast buffet, great meeting room. All in all definitely worth a visit.

A wonderful spot in the Black Forest and a hotel with a very special flair. Kitchen, cleanliness, hotel grounds are simply top! The staff greets you and pampers you with a warmth that you rarely encounter. Unfortunately, we were only able to enjoy the “Spinnerhof” for one night during a conference. Personally, this darling has landed on my list for our girls' tours and I'm already looking forward to spending a few days there. I thank you for your hospitality.

Our summer holidays at the Hotel Restaurant Spinnerhof were simply unforgettable! First of all, I would like to say that we stayed in the holiday apartment and had absolutely nothing to complain about in the entire complex. There are little things here and there that some people might notice, but that's purely a matter of taste. What really counts is the overall experience - and that was simply breathtaking! We were particularly impressed by the staff. Rarely have we met such warm and committed people. Above all Ursula, the all-round talent and the kind soul of the complex, who takes care of the wonderful design and maintenance of the hotel. She welcomed us every day with her friendly manner and was an absolute asset to our stay. Our daughter in particular took Ursula to our hearts - she felt so comfortable that at times we didn't even know where she was because she loved spending every minute with Ursula. She is a great added value for everyone who gets to know her! The service in the restaurant also deserves high praise. The trainees do a good job and we were particularly impressed by the breakfast service. Christine left a lasting impression with her loving nature, especially when dealing with our daughter. Not to be forgotten is the owner himself, who took the time to guide us through the modernized facility and provide exciting insights behind the scenes. A great, very courteous gesture! In summary, the entire team - from management to the individual employees - is a perfectly coordinated team that makes your stay a real experience. Last but not least, the view! Words are not enough to describe the beauty of the surroundings. Anyone who has ever been here will understand what I mean. We've been on beach holidays before, but the mountains and the lifestyle you get up here are something very special. In short: The Spinnerhof is a place to feel good, relax and enjoy. We'll definitely be back!

Rustic and elegant atmosphere. We ate delicious schnitzel and tarte flambée there once and the next time we had 6-tier Black Forest cake, which was amazing.

Terrible experience! I am taking part in a press trip with other journalist colleagues, we arrived this afternoon and they give us rooms, mine is in a sort of attic where you can't see that the roof is really very low, right above the bed and to get closer to the bedside table I I hit my head so hard that I fell backwards to the floor, hitting my back, lower back and head. Luckily my colleague is in the next room and heard me screaming and ran to me to help me. I almost fainted from the blow I took. No one from the front desk or anyone for the owner came to ask me how I was or if I needed anything. Freezing room, I would like to take a hot shower but there is a towel so small that it is enough for a child, my colleague has already come down twice to ask them if they can give us two more, and they replied that they will take them upstairs , but we are still waiting… There are marks on the wall where I hit my head, which means it happened to someone else. Terrible experience!

My son celebrated his wedding there, the food was super delicious 😋, the raspberry dressing was a taste explosion,,,,,.!!!The service was very friendly, attentive,.Sanitary rooms were very clean, everything was there for the wife too.!!! I hope I haven't forgotten anything. The view is fantastic, the beer garden really invites you to linger. There are just not enough parking spaces. My recommendation is that the parking spaces above are allowed for overnight guests, the disabled and also for older people. The lack of parking spaces also means that there is no shortage of guests.

The tarte flambée was served cold and there was a lot of chichi with the sausage salad but no fried potatoes. Information from service: We don't have it. The beer from Alpirsbacher tasted very good.

I didn't have an overnight stay, but was invited to a wedding celebration with a free wedding ceremony high above the Spinnerhof in the most amazing weather and an incredibly great view as a backdrop to the wedding. The only thing that really bothered me was that, given this exposed location and booking of the hotel for many wedding guests and the culinary facilities at the wedding, there was no hotel transport service for severely disabled people who needed a walker or had to use crutches. As a private individual, I stepped in voluntarily and provided this service myself, free of charge, which I had expected as a matter of course from the Spinnerhof staff. The onion roast was a bit tough, but tasted good, the cordon bleu was very strong thanks to the cheese and ham. One piece of Black Forest cake is enough for at least 2-3 people.

In our group we had consistently good (although not cheap) food. The experience was primarily marred by the fact that the service was completely indifferent. After 15 minutes we still didn't have a menu, even though we pointed out that we would like to order something. After we got a card ourselves, our order was taken after about 25 minutes; without any apology. Getting the drinks also took ages. Overall, very tasty food with below average service.

We were at a wedding. The location is great. Unfortunately, there weren't enough parasols set up for the wedding ceremony in the open air and in the shade at 30 degrees. As a result, we got sunburnt and I had to leave the wedding ceremony because I don't tolerate heat well. The food and service were top. I can understand the thin walls that another person complained about. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was great.

Our guests, who came from all over the world, and we ourselves were thrilled. We were able to enjoy our special day to the fullest without having to worry about anything. Very friendly staff. Food was very tasty. The atmosphere is cozy. Extremely clean. Above all, the toilets are filled with hygiene products and an extra toilet for the rear, as well as a changing room. Also dog friendly. I can only recommend it.

This establishment is less than an hour from Strasbourg on the road which joins the Black Forest ridge route from Ackern. The place is called ''Sassbachwalden''..during our excursions with friends or family, we will stop there for lunch, enjoy the magnificent view of the northern Alsace plain and to take a few walks on the surrounding trails. Everything is magnificent, welcoming and peaceful. Very nice establishment, very good dishes, fantastic desserts. The climb behind towards a very beautiful chapel is very beautiful and digestive with a Schnapps fountain which cheerfully accelerates the process

Nice restaurant located directly on the Alde Gott hiking trail. Stopped here on the hiking trail. Food was good, but prices were high. Sausage salad for 15 euros. Little sausage but lots of decoration from beetroot to lettuce leaves.

Restaurant with magnificent views, surrounded by nature, 5 minutes from the town, at the top of the mountain. Nice views of the vineyards. Good attention from the waiters. The food is good, very correct. I recommend it if you visit the area.

We walked the Alde Gott panoramic circuit on a Monday and stopped here. The service was great and the food was delicious! The terrace is currently being expanded and there is occasional construction noise. But everything that is available to the guest is clean, very well maintained and beautifully laid out.

A nice restaurant, unfortunately very remote to visit often. Hikers who are traveling there are happy about the opportunity to stop off. The food is good, but not above average for the hefty prices. Taste OK. The service is attentive, but it is difficult to give the food runners an order because they don't understand. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy a beautiful view on the large terrace.

We also celebrated with around 100 people and, as already described, everything went 100%. Food very good, service very good and Sandra is a very personal and reliable person on site who accompanies the party very professionally. Recommend at any time :)!

Fuimos dos veces, lo que ya da una idea de que estuvismo a gusto La primera a comer: buena atención, aunque que el camarero no maneje el inglés o el francés es un problema. La comida estupenda: un guiso de venado extraordinario, kartofensalat y raviolis (maultauschen) de diez. Volvimos a merendar y probar su ultrafamosísima tarta Selva Negra (¡la más alta!). Y probablemente por eso nos resultó algo más seca que otras que hemos probado, y con menos licor.

We were invited to a wedding reception. Everything fit. Beautiful location, friendly staff, good food, good organization, in short we were well looked after. However, I found the room price at €174 for 2 people with breakfast and mountain view to be too high. This was also criticized by other guests.

Für 10 Tage waren wir im Spinnerhof. Auf Grund schlechtem Wetters zu früh angereist wurden aber trotzdem sehr freundlich empfangen. Lobenswert das Abendessen, sehr ansprechend präsentiert und geschmacklich top. Besonders erwähnenswert die beiden Auszubildenden im Restaurant Illian und Brandon die einen super Job machen und sehr motiviert und engagiert den "Laden schmeißen". Klasse, dass es so junge Leute noch gibt!!!!! Alles in Allem der Spinnerhof ist empfehlenswert! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

We were in constant contact with Ms. Hoffmann throughout the evening, who took care of every little thing and every request! The Spinnerhof is highly recommended for any kind of celebration :-)

Delicious cake highly recommended again

Went dinner jumping today. Despite advance notice that a person was lactose intolerant, we were only offered an alternative after asking. 3 different types of sorbet. Unfortunately there was no choice option as usual. Very unfortunate. Dessert was brought. Nicely prepared. Fruit on the ice. One of the blueberries was moldy. After we pointed this out, the waitress took the ice cream away. Unfortunately she came back with the exact same ice cream and the blueberry mold on top. I thought the kitchen said it was just sugar. I'm sorry. But sugar??? We fully understand that something like this can happen. But we don't have to be taken for fools either. When another colleague asked whether everything was okay, I described the situation to him. He was very upset and apologized. So if you go. Look who's working. You can't feel comfortable with everyone. Only the one waiter deserved the three stars. We're not coming anymore.

We have on May 11th. celebrated our wedding in the Spinnerhof event barn. It was an all-round successful celebration. Atmosphere, food and drinks were completely harmonious. The Spinnerhof staff was very friendly and accommodating, so that our guests were well looked after. Our guests were thrilled with the location and all felt comfortable. The overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel with the family was the perfect end to our wedding. Big compliments to Ms. Hoffmann! She planned and organized the party with us. I have been coming regularly to this restaurant, which is well located on the hiking trails, for around 20 years. It's a shame, lately I've noticed that the quality has declined despite extensive renovation work. Is it to finance the work that quality drops and prices rise? I will no longer come to this restaurant and will turn to another restaurant that is equally well located and has retained its soul. With regret Cela fait environron 20 ans que je viens régulièrement dans ce restaurant bien situé sur les chemins de randonnées. Dommage, je constate ces derniers temps une low de la qualité malgré d'importants travaux. Est ce pour financer les travaux que la quality baisse et les prix augmentent? Aufgrund der intensiven Radiowerbung hatten wir beschlossen, den Spinnerhof nun auch einmal zu testen und haben für Sonntag Abend einen Tisch reserviert. In dem Restaurant war nichts los. Trotzdem wurden wir von einem unterkühlten, wortkargen Angestellten an einen Tisch geführt, wo die beiden eng aneinander stehenden Nebentische schon besetzt waren. Muss ja nicht sein, wenn der ganze Laden leer ist! Aber ok. Die Getränkebestellung wurde aufgenommen, keine Frage nach einem Aperitif, nichts. Genauso unpersönlich war auch die Bestellung der Speisen. Wir haben uns da echt nicht wohlgefühlt und wollten schnell wieder raus sein. Deshalb nur einmal Pasta mit Gambas und einmal Wurstsalat. Wie in einer Kantine war das Essen ein paar Minuten Später auf dem Tisch. Der Wurstsalat geschmacklos, total verbranntes Bauernbrot, was wir auch sofort reklamiert haben. Daraufhin kam ein Brotkorb mit uraltem Mischbrot und Baguette, bockelhart und trocken. Angeblich vom morgentlichen Frühstück... Die Pasta bestand aus einem Teller voll mit Nudeln in einem Ölsee, ein paar übergarte Garnelen, drei, max. vier gegarten Cocktailtomätchen und Rucolagarnitur. Auch dieses Gericht musste ordentlich nachgesalzen und -gepfeffert werden. DEr Knoblauch kam wohl aus der Tube. Die beiden asiatischen Bedienungen verstanden es vorzüglich, auf die Seite zu sehen, dass wir nicht einmal mehr ein Getränk nachbestellt haben. Das ganze Abendessen dauerte max. eine halbe Stunde. Für unsere Reklamation hatte man nicht wirklich Verständnis. Das Angebot: Ein Kaffee auf's Haus. Fazit: Richtig schade für dieses Lokal. Es ist nämlich wirklich schön da. 1a-Lage mit Wunderbarer Aussicht. Aber es stimmt nichts. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, die Qualität, der Service, die Freundlichkeit. Da bedarf wirklich alles der intensiven Nachschulung. Wir werden dieses ungastliche Wirtshaus bestimmt nicht mehr aufsuchen.

We celebrated our wedding on May 25th, 2024 at the Spinnerhof. It was beautiful, the service was very good. The food was also very tasty. Rooms were nice but a bit dated.

We celebrated our wedding there on May 25th, 2024. She's 30 beautiful in white and he's 31 in a blue suit. As a location we had a separate room, the barn, so basically the upper floor from where you can go outside again to a nice terrace for standing out in the evening, which is really pleasant. The barn itself is decorated in a light wood style and there is a bar that can be booked for an extra amount. We had a very nice wedding and we were also lucky with the weather.

Have a bite to eat on the large terrace with a view of the Rhine Valley and the Vosges. Nice, big case. Typical German cuisine/dishes at an acceptable price. Friendly service. Nothing wrong with it.

Since our destination was flooded, we and Gerber Reisen went there with 30 people for lunch at short notice after registering. The food was very good and was served very quickly despite the quantity. The chapel is beautiful. We'll definitely come back when we're on vacation in Germany.👍

The farm offers a fantastic view over the Rhine plain into Alsace. The restaurant is stylishly and modernly furnished. The service staff was extremely friendly. But the onion roast turned out to be tough and the small schnitzel was really small. The quality is absolutely inadequate given the high prices. This clouded the positive impressions, unfortunately our guests shared the experience.
