We occasionally take something home on Sundays, so I can only comment on the food and the friendly service by the owner. We usually get shoulder of pork with dumplings and sauce, as well as wedding soup and a green salad. The shoulder of pork is delicious and usually falls off the bone, which is great. And then there's that delicious sauce ;O) it's simply amazing! I always pick up the food at the back by the kitchen, and there, too, you're warmly welcomed and served by the owner herself. The owners are very friendly and the kitchen team is great. As I said, since I've never eaten there, I can only comment on this situation. The price is definitely reasonable, and the quality is great!

Good food at a reasonable price

The food was really good. BUT: unfortunately, it's way too expensive. It's for lawyers, judges, etc., not for the middle class! We won't be coming here again. Luckily, you can still eat somewhere else where the price is still right.

I celebrated my 60th birthday last weekend with over 80 guests at the Schwarzer Adler's Stodl restaurant – it was a complete success! A buffet with mini shoulder of pork from the wood-fired oven, sauerbraten, and hunter's schnitzel with side dishes and salads – everything was homemade – and in such large quantities! The next day, there was a very good asparagus cream soup and a beautifully presented asparagus salad. Everything is highly recommended!

A lovely little restaurant with an outdoor area, serving good Franconian cuisine on Sundays at fair prices. Also great for a break while hiking or cycling.
