Hotel Jägerklause in Schmalkalden

A very nice hotel run by a child-friendly family. I slept very well and they even brought breakfast forward. Thanks for the service.

Nice and friendly welcome. The online photos unfortunately don't reflect reality. Everything is very dated. There is no restaurant or catering. Okay for one night.

First of all, the restaurant is now closed and according to the boss, the hotel will also be closing soon. The reception was friendly, you can drive up to the barrier-free and covered entrance to unload. The atmosphere is rustic, like the 80s, rooms are OK, but it's very tight around the bed. You can't take off your shoes because there's only one shoe's length of space next to the bed The mattresses are completely worn out, you sit on the slatted frame, but the bathroom and cleanliness are impeccable. You can see the huge investment backlog that has accumulated here.

A rustic, cozy restaurant. Very friendly owners and staff. The dishes are delicious and plentiful. We'd gladly return.

I've never been treated like this before. Customer service is ignored here. I called at night to ask for another room, it was too loud to sleep. Quote: “I shouldn’t act like that, the guests would be gone soon!” How can you treat guests like that? What kind of backwoods treatment is this? Listen to the concept of the Sacher Hotel in Vienna. The customer should come back and, ideally, make new customers aware of the hotel! Then you understood it. The customer is not king, the customer is a guest. But being treated like that, as a guest I can only advise others not to waste their money here.

Hotel Jägerklause kann man nur empfehlen 👍🏾nette Menschen. Das essen ist der Hammer. Ich bin immer wieder gerne dort. Vor allem Natur pur rund rum trotzdem nicht weit in die Stadt. Schöne location.

Ruhiges Hotel. Zimmer mit Balkon ins Grüne. Gutes Restaurant mit urigem Ambiente. Hotel WLAN wird gebraucht, weil das Funknetz am Ort nur für Morsezeichen reicht ;-). Schön wars. Kann man empfehlen.

Meinen Kurzurlaub habe ich mit meiner Lebensgefährtin in der Jägerklause verbracht. Das ganze Ambiente war sehr gut. Vom Personal geht Ruhe und Freundlichkeit aus. Ich habe mich willkommen gefühlt. Ich kann die Jägerklause weiterempfehlen.

Durchwachsen: Freundlicher Empfang. Man muss den Hügel hoch zur Rezeption - mit schweren Koffern problematisch. Na gut -Bewegung kann nicht schaden. Die Lage ansonsten top. Zimmer älter (ich hab' keine großen Ansprüche für 2 Tage) aber sauber und alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Matratze allerdings war uralt und durchgelegen. Ob das Frühstück 12,- EUR wert ist, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Am Sonntag gab' s noch nicht mal mehr ein Ei (egal in welcher Form). Das Essen im Restaurant kann ich nicht einschätzen - die Preise auf der Karte haben mich abgeschreckt.

Essen war sehr lecker aber viel zu teuer. Wir haben über 1 Std. auf unser Essen gewartet.
