AKZENT Aktiv & Vital Hotel Thüringen in Schmalkalden

Es war ein bezauberndes schönes kleines Hotel vom Frühstück, Kaffee bishin zum Abendessen in einer vielfältigen Auswahl für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Sowohl auch der Wellnessbereich alles toll.

Ich war für zwei Tage mit meinem Hund da. Das Hotel ist sehr schön. Es ist ruhig gelegen und von einer tollen Landschaft umgeben. Man kann direkt vorm Haus loswandern. Die Stadt Schmalkalden mit ihren alten Fachwerkhäusern ist sehenswert. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, das Team sehr freundlich und der Service perfekt. Das Frühstück und auch das Essen im Restaurant waren hervorragend. Auch der Wellness Bereich lässt keine Wünsche offen. Leider war unsere Zeit viel zu knapp um diesen ausgiebig zu nutzen. Wer mit Hund anreist, sollte unbedingt die zulässige Größe beachten, sonst kann es zu Problemen kommen. Hier würde ich mir wünschen, dass das Management die Regelung für die Größe der Tiere noch einmal überdenkt zumal die Umgebung auch für die Vierbeiner ideal ist. Wir würden gerne noch einmal wiederkommen.

Tolles Hotel, super Service- das mein ich wirklich so. Das Personal im Restaurant, an der Rezeption und in der Küche ist wirklich aufmerksam und super freundlich. Die Lage ist so ruhig und super zum abschalten am Feierabend. Der Spa Bereich hat alles was man braucht, vielleicht auch einen Sauna Korb zuviel. Etwas weniger Eigenwerbung wäre schön an den Tischen und in der Sauna. Wir kommen aber wieder.

Wir hatten ein tolles Angebot, daher war der Preis unschlagbar. Das Hotel liegt einsam außerhalb der Stadt, sehr ruhig

Alles war rundum schön, zuvorkommend und man kann überhaupt nicht meckern. Denn wenn man meckert, dann wäre es auf sehr sehr hohen Niveau. Essen: Mehr als excellent!!!! Super Qualität, super Service, super freundlich und einfach nur spitze! Wir waren im Hennenberger Haus essen. Frühstück hatten wir keines gebucht, da wir auch zu Hause selten frühstücken und können dieses nicht beurteilen. Haben jedoch schon am Vorabend die Schilder gesehen, was es am Folgetag als Auswahl zum Frühstück gibt und die ist sehr ausreichend! Kann im Hotel für 15€/Tag (aktuell) hinzugebucht werden. Zimmer: Sauber, sehr groß. Beim Auschecken teilte uns noch die Rezeptionistin mit, dass der Altbau noch nicht renoviert ist und die Zimmer noch so sind wir sie aus 2017 kennen (wir waren im neuen Teil und hatten ein ca. 25qm großes Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett, 1 Relaxliege mit "LED-Holzkamin" und einer Sitzecke mit 2 Sesseln. Es gab ein gerichteter Sauna-Korb (4 Handtücher, 2 Paar Badeschlappen, 2 Bademäntel, 2 Erkennungsmarker). Sauna-Bereich: 1x finnische Sauna, 1x 65°C Fasssauna, 1x 95°C Fasssauna, 1x Infrarot-Kabine, 1 Innenpool (beheizt), 1x Außenpolitik (beheizt). Leider beide Pools aus dem Textilbereich erreichbar und nicht aus dem erweiterten Sauna-Bereich. Somit muss man zwingend zurück zu seinen Taschen (Ruheräume/Liegen), sich umziehen um dann in den Pool zu können - obwohl diese Räumlichkeiten an den Saunabereich angrenzen. Somit haben wir den Pool einfach nicht genutzt. Willkommensgeschenk auf dem Zimmer: 4 Kapseln Nespresso-Kapseln, Tee, Gummibären als Begrüßung, 1 Flasche Gourmet-Wasser. Badezimmer: Trotz Neubau leider eine Badewanne und keine Dusche. Der Druck auf der Duschbrause & Toilettenspülung könnte ein wenig mehr sein. Der Fön könnte bisschen leistungsstärker sein, da bei Frauen mit langen Haaren es sonst ein bisschen länger dauern könnte (aber wirklich nur ein wenig länger). Freizeit: E-Bikes können für 19€/Tag (aktuell) gebucht werden. Das Hotel bietet auch oft Themenabende an. Leider konnten wir diese nicht nutzen, da wir dieses Mal nur auf Durchreise waren und 1 Nacht dort waren. Der Fitnessraum ist überwältigend schön. Durch die kurze Zeit, leider nicht genutzt. Parkplatz: Kostenlos direkt vor dem Hotel. Genießen Sie Ihre Auszeit dort; wir werden es wiederholen und empfehlen es von Herzen weiter! Kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder!!!! Positiv hervorzuheben ist noch, dass KLEINhunde für einen 15€/Tag mit ins Hotel dürfen. Alles für den Hund muss mitgebracht werden. Im Umkreis zu empfehlen: • Viba-Schokowelten (Schmalkalden direkt), • Ski-Arena (Oberhof), • Storck-Werksverkauf (Georgenthal). Bei Storck und Viba sollte man die Preise je Kilogramm in etwa kennen, zu denen man selbst einkauft, denn nicht alles ist immer günstig(er) - aber das ist ja klar. 😉

Der Service war überdurchschnittlich, Frühstück und Abendessen konnten wir kein Haar in der Suppe finden 😉. Alles sehr lecker und ausreichend. Die Zimmer waren sehr gepflegt und sauber.

War diese Woche als Außendienstler hier für eine Nacht: Die Dame an der Rezeption sollte sich mal überlegen wer ihr Gehalt bezahlt- nämlich der Gast! Am liebsten wäre ich gleich wieder gegangen, hatte aber über Booking verbindlich gebucht. Beim einchecken ist mir dann auch die Lust aufs Frühstücken vergangen. Sonst hat mir alles sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer und der Wellnessbereich sind sauber und gepflegt. Die Sauna war top. Am nächsten Morgen war auch eine nette Dame zum auschecken da.

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Deluxe Zimmer und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Wir konnten, in der herrlich ruhigen Lage, von der ersten Minute an entspannen. Sehr aufmerksame Mitarbeiter in sämtlichen Bereichen, vorzügliches Essen, tolle Massage, wunderbarer Wellness Bereich. Entspannung pur! Wir kommen wieder.

Wir haben wieder eine erholsame Woche in unserem Lieblingshotel verbracht. Unser Dank gilt allen Beschäftigten die dazu beigetragen haben, dass wir uns wieder rund herum wohlgefühlt haben. Schön gelegenes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Leider macht der Saunabereich auch am Wochenende erst gegen 15 Uhr auf. Dies könnte etwas früher sein.

Haben unser Mädelswochenende hier verbracht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Wellnesslandschaft war auch schön, außer das Dampfbad ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Da geht der Flair verloren. Es fehlt Relaxingmusik in den Saunen und Duft. Die Ruheräume sind top. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Wir waren im Rahmen von „Urlaub in Deiner Stadt“ zu Gast und wir waren begeistert. Der Service vom Empfang bis zu den Mitarbeitern der Gastro war einfach nur perfekt. Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Der Wellness-Bereich ist perfekt und stets sauber und gepflegt. Die Hotel-Angebote für die Gäste sind sehr gut abgestimmt. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen. The woman at reception was extremely unfriendly and annoyed. She took her bad mood out on all the guests who were in line with us. The rooms have a 1990s/2000s vibe and are not modern. The hairdryer in the room was broken. The pool is great.

A good hotel with plenty of opportunities to relax. The food was good, and the service was very good and friendly.

We frequently stay in 4-star hotels and are quite good at judging whether we can recommend a place. Positive: The location is beautifully quiet, surrounded by countryside. The spa area is perfectly adequate with various saunas, and the food is good. Negative: The cleanliness of the room was poor, and the noise from the other rooms wasn't well insulated—it was sometimes so bad that you just wanted to leave your room. PS: We could have left our clothes at home; there were still some left by the previous guest. This is my opinion/experience of my stay.

This year, I stayed at this hotel for the second time with my grandparents (both over 80 years old), and we felt completely at ease once again. The service is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and courteous. We were particularly pleased to find that we were apparently recognized on our second booking – our rooms were right next to each other. It's clear that great importance is placed on ensuring guests feel truly welcome and satisfied. The food is excellent and of very high quality. The friendliness of all the staff – both in the restaurant and throughout the hotel – is also exceptional and contributes significantly to the pleasant atmosphere. Despite the fact that my grandparents each use a walker, all areas of the hotel were easily accessible. The rooms, the indoor and outdoor pools, and the restaurant were all easily accessible. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and offer plenty of room. The outdoor pool is a particular highlight: it's easily accessible via both a ladder and stairs. The massage and beauty treatments are also highly recommended and of excellent quality. My grandparents and I would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Hello everyone… We're still totally blown away. What an enchanting hotel with these impressions! The Christmas decorations were magical, the cleanliness was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly, even the caretaker 🤣. We've stayed in many hotels and want to say thank you for everything. The food, my goodness, was heavenly! ❤️ Breakfast was top-notch—I just wished there was something with chocolate. Yes, yes… a fit and active hotel 🤣. Free parking in front of the hotel, right in the middle of the woods—these activity programs are fascinating. Unfortunately, they're only available during the week. Which means we have to come back. The relaxed atmosphere, despite the hotel being fully booked, was particularly noteworthy. No waiting times, just peace and quiet. Then there was Mia-Sophie, probably still an apprentice, who made the morning greeting a sunny start to the day. You want something negative? I looked. I found it… The gap between the mattresses was really big in the double bed. 😎 Keep it up, we'll be back.

This hotel is finished. The wiring is surface-mounted, there's a draft despite the closed windows, the showers are installed, and the doors are flimsy. The gas consumption must be enormous, which is probably why the rooms cost as much as in a real four-star spa. But the rooms aren't worth it. They're more like a youth hostel with 90s-era carpeting.

Even on our third short stay, everything was excellent again. The breakfast and dinner buffets and the selection of drinks were outstanding. The spa and pool area was clean, tidy, and enjoyable. The staff, from reception to service, housekeeping, and the head housekeeper, were all very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, we'd love to come back!

We chose this place for a spontaneous weekend trip and found it to be excellent. Large, comfortable room, great and friendly service, very good food, good breakfast. Heated outdoor pool, bowling alley, and much more. Everything was impeccably maintained and clean. There were no waiting times anywhere. We will definitely come back again.

The hotel is beautiful and modern, the rooms are comfortable and warm. The shower and toilet are all clean. Bathrobes and towels for the sauna are provided. There are a variety of saunas and blue pools. One heated pool is outside, while another is indoors with loungers. A sparkling water machine and herbal tea are available right next to the pool. The masseuse gave a very pleasant, relaxing back massage. The breakfast was delicious and varied, but there was no fish. The coffee was also delicious. The hotel is located on a hill outside the city, a 5-minute drive away. Beautiful views surround the hotel. The city is also very beautiful – there's plenty to see... Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Great rooms, spotlessly clean. Delicious breakfast. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I was there on business and was able to enjoy the spa area in the evenings. A workday couldn't end better.

A bit old-fashioned and dated, with some unfriendly staff who don't treat their employees well. Lately, they've also been stingy with food and drinks (no bread with soup and salad, small cake buffet, etc.).

We had a truly wonderful stay! Our room was a good size (Deluxe Room) and very clean. The two pools and the gym were also great and spotlessly clean. I was just disappointed that the gym didn't open until 8:30 am. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good, and you could get everything you needed. We especially liked the selection of bread and rolls, and the staff there were particularly friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the cake buffet. Overall, we enjoyed dinner as well. The restaurant was very nicely and comfortably furnished. However, communication between reception and the restaurant could be improved. For example, on the first evening, I couldn't have my dessert because it wasn't vegetarian. On the second day, we understood that there was a separate vegetarian menu, but according to the restaurant staff, the selection only applied to the main course. Which wasn't true either, since I did receive a separate dessert because the original dessert wasn't vegetarian. Now we know we need to ask more specifically about that next time. My suggestion would be to indicate directly on the menu what is vegetarian/vegan, which would also make things easier for the reception staff. Or you could simply ask directly if anyone is vegetarian, so that the kitchen can plan accordingly. Overall, though, the food was delicious and we had a great time and would love to come back!

Everything was perfect here. The location is ideal for nature lovers and hikers. The hotel itself leaves nothing to be desired. The staff happily fulfills your every wish. I have rarely experienced such attentive and uncomplicated staff. Sure, a night here costs a bit more, but it's worth it. 👍👍👍👍👍 We will definitely be back.

Great spa, great food (especially breakfast), great area - rooms a bit small

This hotel easily deserves 5 stars. A gem and a hidden treasure in the sparsely populated world of top-tier hotels in Thuringia. If we could, we'd give it more than 10 stars. Rooms are divided into different categories. The "Active" category is in the old building and is no less bad—simply classic, rustic East German style (sorry, dear hotel). If you were to choose the "Vital" category, there are countless details that don't explain why this hotel isn't a 5-star establishment. 😁 From the large glass bottle of water to the comb, to the sophisticated lighting system, to the impeccable cleanliness and comfortable, high beds, the quality was excellent. There's an elevator throughout the entire building. Active The restaurant boasts a rather creative chef who seems to enjoy expressing his individuality. The menu changes occasionally. Currently, the all-inclusive option costs €45.00 per person (coffee, cake, and dinner). Whether the quality justifies the price is something everyone has to judge for themselves; there's room for improvement here... sometimes less is more... Clean dishes (great!) and a very polite and extremely attentive waiter. Now, on to what we consider high-end criteria: It couldn't be friendlier. Wherever the owners find all these friendly and courteous people who give their best in daily service, we can only hope it stays this way. Spa Area We travel a lot, but this is top-notch, and the area is very well thought out and sophisticated. Infrared cabin, smaller indoor and outdoor saunas. Relaxation room with a brine inhalation system. Two pools. Another relaxation area. Complimentary water and tea; virtually any beverage can be ordered upon request. A large lawn is available in the summer. Where else in the world can you use the entire area for free until 5:00 PM on your departure day? Towels are available upon request, as is a place to store your luggage. All in all, highly recommended; excellent value for money. There are great deals available in the off-season. Pure relaxation. We stayed at the hotel for five days with our dog. We were very satisfied; the food was excellent every day. Our booked treatments were fantastic. They even thought of our beloved pet – he found a sausage in the room. We can't understand some of the negative reviews. For us, everything was perfect, and we would love to come back. Thank you!

The hotel is recommended for a visit, but we wouldn't return. It made every effort, but wasn't entirely convincing for our taste. Pros: - Schmalkalden is very beautiful and can be reached in just a few minutes by car. - The food at the hotel was delicious. - The hotel room was spacious. - The wellness area was modern. - The activity program was varied. Cons: - There were no screens on the hotel room windows. This allowed countless mosquitoes to come in, which kept us completely awake the first night. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning in the room, so we could only ventilate through the open door to the common hallway. When we returned to our hotel room the following evening, the cleaning staff had opened the windows again at midday, allowing countless more mosquitoes to fly into the room, and we couldn't sleep properly. My partner also got back pain from the mattress on the bed. - There was so much chlorine in the pools that even with your eyes closed, you couldn't hold your head underwater without getting red eyes. The benches in the two hotter saunas got so hot that they burned your back, bottom, and soles of your feet, even with a towel. The steam sauna's hose was attached to the outside, so the steam sauna could only be cleaned by literally evaporating all the steam outwards, and it took a long time to return. - The activity program clashed at some points and was postponed by an hour at short notice. During archery, the safety of the participants was not properly taken into account, resulting in some minor injuries to their left arms. Bowling, which was advertised as free, surprised everyone that the hotel still charged €2 per pair of shoes. PS: If you receive a drink voucher that only requires your room to be cleaned every two days, redeem it directly in the restaurant. These vouchers are no longer valid for drinks that you have charged to your room.

A very nice hotel, from reception to service, everything is done with great care. The daily offerings are well thought out. The wellness area is also beautifully designed; we haven't been there in a long time. We highly recommend it!

The wellness area and massage facilities are good. Guests' wishes are catered for. The restaurant staff is very friendly. The food is good, but not worth the high price. The hotel primarily serves older guests. Children are advised not to disturb the guests and even to change pools when other guests are present.

A beautiful hotel, situated on a hilltop in the middle of the forest. Free parking is available nearby. Friendly staff. Next door, connected to the Hitek, is the restaurant. Here, too, excellent food at fair prices and friendly service are offered. Reservations are recommended.

A quietly located hotel in the countryside with great staff and good food. We spent a weekend at the Akzent in Schmalkalden. The hotel is located on a mountain outside of town, making it quiet and wonderfully secluded. The friendliness of the staff is consistently fantastic, from breakfast to the wellness team, which is absolutely outstanding. The food is very good; I would have preferred a proper scrambled egg for breakfast, rather than the crispy egg from a pre-packaged box. The room was clean and adequate. The two pools and the sauna area are also very nice. The drink service by the pool via the app is great. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

We were here for a BBQ last Saturday. The food was delicious, as always, and we received extremely friendly service. We recommend reserving a table in advance. We'd love to come back.

Absolutely disappointing. The staff was attentive and friendly. I ordered an ice cream sundae, but unfortunately, there were no earthquakes. OK, so I ordered a fruit cup instead. The only fruit served was a green cone with the skin, possibly left over from the morning buffet. An absolute disaster. The seat cushions in the beer garden were dirty, etc. Never again

A place to unwind and breathe deeply 🌿 The hotel's location is truly beautiful – perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. The rooms are very clean, lovingly decorated, and equipped with everything you need. One small detail I missed was an extra towel for drying my hands in the bathroom – that would have been the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, dinner at the hotel was only average for me. The breakfast buffet, on the other hand, was much better – with enough selection so that everyone could find something. As an organic hotel, however, I would have liked to have offered regional eggs, vegetables, and whole-grain rolls – that would round out the sustainable concept even better. Overall, however, a very nice stay with some room for improvement. I would be happy to come back.

Overall, I'm satisfied with my stay (4 nights). I had a great time relaxing and enjoyed my time. The surroundings are beautiful, and the hotel offers a lot. However, I didn't like the way some of the staff addressed me. At times, I felt like I was disturbing them. This is primarily why it's not good enough for a 5-star rating.

The wellness facilities, fitness center, bowling, and massages are excellent. The service is excellent with good recommendations. There are also several hiking trails starting directly from the hotel. Schmalkalden isn't far away by car. The hotel itself seems a bit dated; the double bed has two mattresses, there are a few mosquitoes in the room, and the restaurant is very expensive, but the food isn't particularly special. Because I booked on short notice, the hotel was relatively expensive, but I would still recommend it for a short stay.

If you like peace, nature and a great view from the upper floors, this is the place for you.

This spa hotel, with its quiet location outside the city, is ideal for relaxation. Modernly furnished rooms, a beautiful sauna area, an indoor and outdoor pool, a great massage table, and attractive relaxation rooms invite you to linger. The service staff is friendly and attentive. The varied meals are also delicious. For recreational activities, there is a nice bowling alley, guided hikes, archery, a bonfire in the beer garden several times a week, and much more. We will definitely be back.

We spent a weekend at the Aktiv&Vital Hotel Schmalkalden. The reception was very friendly and professional. Our room was very spacious and modernly furnished. There was several seating areas and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was rather small, but again very well equipped and very clean and modern. The entire service staff was very friendly and helpful. We also used the wellness area. There is an outdoor and an indoor pool with plenty of comfortable lounging options. The sauna area has an indoor area with a steam bath, an infusion sauna and a very nice relaxation room. In the outdoor area there are 2 barrel saunas and several lounge options. Everything clean and in perfect condition. We had booked half board and were absolutely satisfied with that. The breakfast was extensive with everything you need, including Thuringian specialties. The cake buffet was also quite nice. In the evening there is a very tasty three-course meal in the restaurant. Choose one meat, fish or vegetarian dish. The portions were good, the food was very tasty and the service was great. All in all, we were positively surprised and more than satisfied with the hotel and the services it offered. The location of the hotel is excellent if you are looking for peace and quiet. We went running on the well signposted hiking trails around the hotel and went for a few walks. Great landscape and lots of peace everywhere. It's only a few minutes by car into the town and there are some sights and shopping opportunities there. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful days with you!

Our stay on the long May weekend was a real highlight for our group of six girls. From the welcome to the evening service, the breakfast buffet and super-tasty dinner, wellness, sauna infusion, the pool area - everything was perfect. Many thanks to all the employees and the friendly manager of the hotel, who made our arrival and departure so easy with the shuttle service. The girls from Berlin would love to come back!

Very courteous service staff, I noticed after just a 4 hour stay. Breathtaking landscape and heavenly peace. Due to the location on the mountain, the way to the city is probably only for the very fit. Otherwise just a car.

Very nice hotel, good starting point for hikes

We loved the hotel, the service and the great facilities. I can only recommend it 10 percent more.

Very nice hotel in a perfect location. Beautifully located in the middle of the forest, wonderfully quiet. We had a deluxe room, which is and was spacious and modernized. The wellness area is fantastic. The kitchen also knows how to impress. We'll be back.

The hotel is getting old. The rooms and inventory need to be renewed. The food was manageable.

Yes. However, the indoor antenna should be adjusted properly as the closure makes a lot of noise and always scares you. Why is the mechanical automatic closure installed at all? VB from the Leipzig area

Very nice, cozy hotel, right on or surrounded by forest and fields. Super nice and friendly employees in all areas. It would have been nice if the room had been without carpet. Food very good and everything clean. I'd love to come back.

A wonderful stay. A wonderful room, newly renovated and with excellent furnishings. The bathroom is a bit dated in design but fully functional, without defects, and clean. Cleanliness is a top priority throughout the entire complex, and you feel very comfortable. The hotel is quiet and close to nature. The wellness area offers a wonderful ambiance for well-being and relaxation. The breakfast buffet, cake buffet, and 3-course dinner left nothing to be desired. A great offer for everyone. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly.

I had a wonderful vacation with my daughter. The hotel is very clean, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly. We had wonderful weather...at the beginning of March...so we swam in the outdoor pool and then enjoyed the sun on the loungers by the pool.

We spent a few very nice days in the lovingly run hotel. The quiet location is fantastic and a great starting point for hiking. All the dishes in the restaurant were very tasty. Unfortunately we had a very small room with a bathroom from the 90s. The sauna area with pool was convincing. Thank you for the lovely time Nancy & Karsten Lindner

This is the right place for a break. The staff is always friendly and always willing to listen to guests. The facilities are superb and the cleanliness is top notch. Everything is just perfect here. We love coming here.

Our 3-day short vacation with luxury board was simply excellent. The huge wellness area has something for everyone. We particularly liked the heated outdoor pool. The staff here are consistently friendly and helpful. Special praise also to the chef. We enjoyed the 3 course menu fantastically. We recommend this hotel without reservation.

For us only a few km from Ruhla. A great package booked for my sweetheart's 60th. Our bed was romantically decorated, with champagne as a welcome. Dinner 4 courses simply great. The entire spa area with bathroom outside is even heated and the many saunas. Cozy furniture everywhere. And breakfast with everything your heart desires, of course with sparkling wine. And the friendliness of every employee is highly praised. That wasn't the last time. Been here twice now. THE BEAUTIFUL IS USUALLY SO CLOSE!!!

Very nice and quiet hotel. Food was great and the service was very friendly. The sauna and wellness area are also very nice. When the hotel is busy, there are a few berths in winter. On the day of arrival there were no more loungers available. We had a very nice weekend in this hotel.

Absolutely beautiful house with an almost perfect fitness center, nice spa area, good breakfast with lots of choice. Rooms are okay and clean, I found the beds very comfortable. Bathrooms are medium standard and more of a wet room with plastic green for decoration. Parking, sports in general and the location are great for any type of sporting activity. When it comes to the staff, I'm just not sure whether I like the way they approach customers. Here it is very clearly stated what the customer should and should not do and when ordering food they often answer "You don't have to eat" or comment on the registration form with "you should be a doctor in writing, who should read that please?" . Processes and guidelines for employees are also obviously legal and not very flexible. To be honest, I didn't like it and with 200 hotel nights a year I can compare it pretty well. The dinner was very expensive and the price/performance ratio wasn't right for me at all. Small portions, shutters tasted like they had been warmed up in the microwave and my companions weren't impressed with the quality of the food (everything was well over €25).

Great location, great hiking opportunities, the service staff, especially in the restaurant, at reception and room service, were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Small but nice wellness area to relax. Definitely coming back.
