Restaurant Musik-Cafe "FLY-IN" in Schmalkalden

We were surprised by the ambience of the restaurant: very lovingly furnished and decorated, rustic coziness and a modern disco feeling are skilfully brought together. The food was excellent, the service was super friendly and quick. You can't escape the charm of the family atmosphere. We were thrilled and would love to come back, and we have already reserved a date for a family celebration.

Very nice staff especially the boss Lutz, he reads the wishes of his guests. Many satisfied regular guests. Tasty home cooking

When you came in you could hear the arguments among the employees (that can definitely happen). Afterwards, the bad mood was passed directly on to us. There were a few stupid comments and the boss's appearance was aggressive and made you feel unwelcome. We then left again after a drink. It's a shame for this experience. It was highly recommended to us.

Even before entering the restaurant, loud screaming could be heard, and it didn't stop when we came in. We stood in the room and didn't know where to sit, so we waited for the innkeeper to attend to us. He reacted to us visibly annoyed and said: "What do you want? Cola? Beer?" When I asked whether there was also non-alcoholic beer, he made fun of the question and gave rude and cheeky answers and even wanted to know which state we came from. When I said RLP shook his head with a laugh and said "yes, it was clear to me, the new federal states. The drinks came quickly. When we had finished drinking (our 2 year old son still had the glass half full) he came back and asked if there was anything else, we said no with the statement "not at the moment, thank you". Shortly afterwards he came with the bill and we had to pay. Then we left too. During our entire stay we didn't feel welcome and the arguments didn't stop, people continued shouting at each other. Absolutely NOT recommended, very unfriendly!

It's nice to sit outside. Service was very nice and food was very good.

The "Fly-In" is easily accessible from the B19 (Schmalkalden/Wernshausen exit). There are enough parking spaces and cyclists also like to come there. The guests are well looked after; However, the landlord would be happy about additional staff, which is probably more difficult to find. Four of us were there for lunch on Sunday. Sometimes there may be a bit of a wait because there is a big rush. The food was very good and really plentiful! It was nice to be able to sit outside under the parasol with a view of the greenery. With reservation everything should work. So from me: recommendation; especially since on Sunday only a few restaurants can accommodate guests at short notice because they are usually full!

We went here for lunch and coffee for a birthday party and were pleasantly surprised! No wish was left unfulfilled, the staff were very friendly and quick. The cuisine is really great, very good quality and the prices are still humane. The homemade cake is also in a class of its own, reminded me a bit of Grandma's large baking trays 😊. So we will definitely come back here for the next family celebration.

The restaurant is always highly recommended. We have been regular customers for years and we always feel very comfortable. The meal for my parents' Iron Wedding was bombastic. Everything was delicious and everyone was happy. That's how it has to be and that's how it's beautiful. Thank you for everything.

We were there for dinner and were very impressed. The landlady immediately took the order and a short time later we had our food. We enjoyed it very much, so we had to have dessert - also very tasty. We decided on the homemade cake and then left the restaurant full and more than satisfied. Gladly again.

I was a guest at the innkeepers Katrin and Lutz Pensions for a long time. I never had any reason to complain. The food was always plentiful and tasty and a lot was made possible. We were also able to experience some celebrations here. I don't understand some of the reviews 🤔Food was always delivered to work on time 👏 I think the team does a good job 👍 was on the site today because I'll be in the area soon and will definitely stop here. 😊

Friendly, fast and good value for money. Unfortunately, warm food is only available until 7:30 p.m.

My schnitzel somehow tasted almost like nothing and when it comes to the cream sauce with mushrooms you can actually only speak of a lot of fried mushrooms with very little sauce. It was a huge schnitzel. The employees there were very nice and the landlord always had a funny saying. Unfortunately he was also a bit pushy. The outdoor setting was nothing special, but the indoor area was quite comfortable.

Very nicely located restaurant where you can sit outside in the green in the summer. The food is delicious.

I went to dinner with friends and then a dance evening. A nice evening to switch off. Unfortunately there is no regularity with the events and you have to use Google to find out more.

We spontaneously stopped in for dinner at the fly-in last night. Despite the fact that there was a big birthday party in the main room, we were able to enjoy our food in peace. The portions were very generous and extremely tasty, thanks to the kitchen. Highly recommended if you like good German cuisine. Greetings from Köpenick to the boss :)

The landlord is great, from the reservation to the payment everything was fine, good.

I just wanted something to satisfy my hunger since we already eat enough over the holidays. Had spiced meat with toast, well what can you say about that, just everything without any spices. Never again. Afterwards I ordered a small salad, which was also easier, just a mess.... Honestly, you really can't go wrong with something like that 🥱🤦. Regardless, it's the first time there and unfortunately not recommended. The boss was also just annoying. Sorry never again 🤷.

Everything fitted. You felt that you were very welcome here as a guest. Our dog was also a welcome guest. Staff very nice, always open for a nice conversation. Food was great. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted great. Price performance was right.

Wir hatten hier unser Klassentreffen, das schönste überhaupt. Das Essen war super und Lutz hat als DJ alle Wünsche erfüllt. Auch unsere Bedienung war super. Vielen lieben Dank für diesen wunderschönen Abend. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Essen sehr lecker. Tolle Bedienung. Tanzparty war immer toll. Bei der letzten Tanzparty gab es eine Rammstein-Polonaise und kaum Abwechslung bei der Musik. War immer schön bisher. Werden es noch einmal versuchen. Sonst gehen wir nicht mehr hin.

Anlässlich eines Familienbesuchs sind wir dort eingekehrt und haben uns über die wirklich gute Hausmannskost sehr gefreut! Besonders der Thüringer Spezialität Teller und die hausgemachte Rinderroulade mit den Thüringer Klößen haben es uns angetan 👍 Der Ton dort mag für manch einen etwas zu derbe sein, aber die gehen wahrscheinlich eh zum Lachen in den Keller. Uns jedenfalls hat es nicht gestört 😏 Wer also zb mit dem Rad, oder Auto, oder zu Fuß dort vorbei kommt, sollte auf jeden Fall anhalten und sich ordentlich satt essen. Wenn wir noch einmal in der Nähe sein sollten, kommen wir ganz sicher wieder vorbei 😊

Sehr gutes Angebot und super Service

Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Kartoffel mit Roulade waren super lecker und ausreichen. Leider war bei dem Gericht matjes mit backkartoffel zu wenig matjes auf dem Teller und zu viel Dill. Aber insgesamt sehr lecker.

Sind bei Radtour durch Zufall vorbeigekommen. Haben zu Mittag gegessen und waren voll zufrieden. Top Essen zu fairen Preisen. Bedienung und Wirt sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kommen bestimmt nochmal vorbei

Svaki put kad dođemo svojima u goste, tu dolazimo na obiteljsko druženje i zajednički obrok. Nažalost za Božić je bilo super, a sada smo poljubili vrata. İskreno se nadam da je privremeno. U nosu su mi ostali mirisi predivnih jela koje smo tu zajedno pojeli i slike, uspomene, ljubaznost osoblja i način na kojem su nas dočekali. Nadam se da na zimu nećemo ostati pred vratima.. :(

Odlični ste, usluga vam je jako brza, ljubazna i vesela, a hrana vam je za svaku pohvalu, vidi se da kuhar radi jela iz ljubavi, sve u svemu super ste 👌

Toller Ort für einen Zwischenstop. Biergarten ist empfehlenswert. Wir haben nichts gegessen. Essen sah aber sehr gut aus

Taufe gefeiert mit Mittagessen und Kaffeetrinken. War noch eine zweite Feier und Pfingstwochenende... Daher etwas hektisch alles, aber in Anbetracht der Situation, alles gut gemeistert. Essen war sehr lecker und große Mengen.

Top Essen Service, einfach alles. Würde 6/5 Sternen geben. Weiter machen!😄
