The castle is very beautiful, the room was a little small, we were there for 4 days and 3 nights and were very satisfied.

Fantastic accommodation, wonderful in the Altmark Delicious food in buffet form And absolutely perfect service Top !!!!

My wife and I spent two lovely nights here. We were very satisfied with everyone and felt very comfortable. The hunting lodge is beautiful and so is the surrounding area. We had a very good breakfast and were also well served. The beds were too soft for both of us and the shower was a little narrow. But those are the only things that bothered us. We wish the castle team all the best and thank you for the wonderful days.

The castle is beautifully quiet. Staff friendly. Breakfast was okay, you can always find something.

We were there for 1 week with half board. We slept in the Kavaliershaus. Food and service were really very good. The staff was always nice and friendly. The whole atmosphere is simply wonderful. The room is also good. Of course, little things could be improved. Good starting point to explore the whole Altmark. The parking space was included, which is rarely available anymore. Conclusion: great holiday and we will definitely come back again. Thanks everyone.👍👍👍😃😃

Spent a lovely weekend here, staying 2 nights with half board. The service and the staff were all very friendly and tried to please every guest. The breakfast and dinner were tasty and sufficient and had a little bit of everything. I can't understand the bad reviews and I can understand that there were signs about what to eat it is, WiFi worked everywhere, rooms were clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful. We were completely satisfied and would come back at any time.

Magnificent property in a fairytale setting in a park with a museum and a large church. Free parking, nice rooms and an attractive restaurant. Unfortunately no lunch. Those seeking peace and quiet have come to the right place, you can literally hear the silence. Otherwise there is little on offer for the guest. During the European Football Championship there is only a “mouse cinema” in the room.

A beautiful castle with great surroundings where you can relax, but unfortunately some personnel factors have to be criticized. Contrary to the positive reviews, which was also a selection criterion for this castle, we were very disappointed by the unprofessional service. Starting with arrival and check-in. Instead of polite greetings, we were immediately asked to pay the accommodation costs. I find it very unusual to pay in advance for a service that has not yet been provided. Afterwards we did some research and found out on the Travdo website that it was even the hotel manager who gave us such an incredibly unfriendly welcome. We travel a lot, but we have never experienced such a welcome in a hotel/guesthouse. Our room was in the attic and the small windows had no cladding option, so there was constant sunlight. It was incredibly warm there. A fan was available, but it didn't have a cooling effect. The mattresses were very soft. At dinner there was a selection of different dishes. Signs would be helpful to find out what kind of food it is. The breakfast is average. Nothing was added when plates were already almost empty. Guests who arrived later were at a disadvantage. Conclusion: The hunting lodge impresses with its impressive appearance and idyllic surroundings. However, the poor service on site reduces the attractiveness and makes us doubt whether we would like to book there again in the future.

We stayed at the Hotel Jagdschloss Letzlingen with 40 friends this weekend. It was a great time, thanks to the great service team. Every little problem was solved immediately with a lot of fun at work. The food was varied, fresh and tasty. The ambience of the hotel was unique, designed with great attention to detail. We would like to thank the staff for their uncomplicated and extremely friendly manner, which made the weekend unforgettable for all of us.

Bismarck Tower for a lot of money, no WiFi, flea bites that of course I could have gotten elsewhere. No fire alarm on the residential floor of the tower. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. 3 stars for nice people who certainly work for a manageable salary.

Very nice, romantic hotel! It is in a quiet location. The staff is friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend it for couples! Children could get bored quickly.

A very nice and animal-friendly staff, even when we asked the kitchen if they could cook rice for us for our sick dog, they did it without any objection. Thanks for that. The breakfast and dinner were very tasty and varied. The room was also very clean. The location is nice but you can't do anything in the village other than go shopping. You should also mention on most booking sites that if you want to arrive before 3 p.m. there is an additional charge of 29 euros.

A wonderful place to unwind. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the right place. Contrary to the bad reviews, we had nothing to complain about. The dinner from the buffet was fresh and totally sufficient. Food was always brought. Maybe as a small note...it would be nice if there were little signs indicating what is available. The breakfast is more than sufficient. There are many regional products. Coffee specialties can be brought in as needed. If you want, you can also have breakfast outside on the terrace. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We had a comfort double room which was completely sufficient. All around a great weekend.

Nice hotel, the staff are all friendly and the chef cooks very good food. Booked with half board, everything was fine. The fact that there is almost nothing going on in the area is not the hotel's fault!

Great for relaxing, strolling and winding down.

It was a wonderful four days in the unique setting, during which I went on lovely tours through forests and fields in the area on my e-bike in great weather. The single room in the annex building under the roof (third floor without elevator) was cozy, but unfortunately only had a slanted window from which you could look at the sky. Frogs and birds sang you to sleep, but otherwise it was very quiet! The breakfast was okay, had a few regional specialties, but only 2 types of baked rolls and toasted bread. The beautiful menu for the evening menu whetted your appetite, but unfortunately stood in stark contrast to what was on offer: it was only thawed frozen vegetables, warmed croquettes or overheated chicken leg from the microwave. You shouldn't necessarily choose half board at the moment. The beautiful ambience of the hotel would look much better if all plastic decorations such as "flowers" on the tables, in windows, etc. were dispensed with.

We had the Suite Bismarckturm with half board for 4 nights. The castle is great. The room is still ok (small old 32" LCD with lousy reception). The bathroom is clean but doesn't fit the ambience of a castle. The bright green cheap plastic Travdo toothbrush cups don't work at all. Wi-Fi is only available in this room present on the window. The surroundings of the hotel: quiet and beautiful - pure nature. Interim conclusion: not my favorite castle hotel but I have also experienced much worse castle hotels. But what is definitely not recommended: dinner. It is edible and edible. There is also a (good) selection. But I would expect the quality in a youth hostel and not in a castle-hotel-restaurant "Kaiserhof". Depending on your own requirements, you may be completely happy here or disappointed somewhere.

Great castle complex, but the service and food selection are a joke. Never again, unless you just want to be annoyed.

The hotel is really nice. But the Marathon parking lot was annoying. Arrival about 200m --> reception, parking card for the car about 200m back to the car --> in the morning then 200 m to the car to get the card --> 200m back to the reception 200m --> and then leave .to the car 200m. That would be about 1.2 km because of a parking card that is placed behind the window. So apart from the cramp in my foot it was okay

We spent a few very nice days in the castle. The castle is really beautiful. Fantastic staff who are very kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet sufficient. Dinner is also available in the form of a rich buffet - very tasty and varied food. I highly recommend this place for a break outside of the city. We will definitely come here again.

Basically, this hotel deserves *****. While looking for a hotel over the Easter holidays for 2 people with 2 single rooms including half board, I "stumbled across" this hotel. A short-term booking with a standard room and a comfort room was possible and completed easily. Shortly before departure there was an email from the hotel with important information. Very good. I didn't have high expectations because of some not so good recessions. Also because of the price offered. Since we arrived before 3 p.m., we were given the opportunity to leave our luggage near the reception. Following a personal recommendation, we then visited the cities of Stendal and Tangermünde. In the evening we arrived back at the hotel and were able to move into the rooms. What was unusual for me was that in our case the hotel bill had to be paid in cash in advance. I can live with that. We went back to the main building to eat. There we were assigned a table and explained how the half-board meal works. Starter, main course and dessert buffet style and as much as you like. Great. Very friendly staff and quick drinks. I would like to highlight the super friendly male service staff. We couldn't have the drinks written on our rooms, but we kindly asked them to pay the bill when we left. I can live with that. I found the standard room (room 2) to be completely sufficient. A very quiet room, which is also good. The walls and ceilings are very noisy. Unfortunately, the main entrance door tends to slam shut very quickly and loudly. You can hear that. However, there is now a * put on because the mattress is really extremely soft and should be replaced. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive and delicious. There were even waffles. We didn't miss anything. We arrived back at the hotel in the early afternoon. We took a seat on the terrace and had a drink. Our voucher was also redeemed for a drink. We were lucky that it was warm. If it had been colder, I would have liked a "fireplace room" or something similar where you could stay in the hotel. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The second dinner was again extensive and rich. Likewise the breakfast. The first impression of the outside view including the outdoor area is beautiful. However, a second look reveals that there is still room for improvement visually. Some of the facade no longer looks nice, the light bulb in the large lamp on the house facade is defective, the drill holes in the former heating system are still visible, ... None of this is important, but it contributes to the good appearance! This leaves ****. Not least because of the good price-performance ratio. Thank you for a nice stay.

Spending the night in a historical ambience is a special experience.

Hunting lodge and hotel nicely hidden and really beautiful. My kids said it looked like the castle from the Gummy Bear Gang 😅 It was very quiet, clean, child-friendly. Breakfast buffet was good. Dinner was hearty home cooking. You could book massages on site and visit the hunting lodge museum. Otherwise you have to take some travel time to be able to go on excursions. Definitely worth a visit.

We were there for a weekend. The castle itself is a real eye-catcher. The nearby nature offers a place to relax if the motocross track is not nearby or is not in use. The rooms are very old-fashioned and very noisy. I had room 4 right next to the entrance in the Kavaliershaus, which means that if someone leaves the house early in the morning you end up in bed because the door is extremely loud. The food was good for everyone and if you don't get enough there it's your own fault. The service was also good, everyone always tried to please the guests. Conclusion I would come again!!

We stayed one night in half board from February 10th to 11th. And what shall I tell you. We've never seen anything so awesome. We had booked the wine tower + a pampered package. The pampering package consisted of an entire bed full of rose petals, 2x massage oil, one Milka chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine. We were absolutely thrilled. We had the entire wine tower to ourselves. Really a stylish old atmosphere with a modern bathroom. The staff was relaxed, friendly and in a really good mood. The dinner was crazy. Three main courses that were really delicious. Were lovingly cooked and kept warm in Bengs. Where we really didn't see a problem like some others write here in reviews. The breakfast was great, everything your heart could desire. The area and the whole atmosphere are wonderful. Here you can switch off, slow down and just enjoy. Please don't let the bad reception put you off because of the food. Go there yourself, visit it and form your own opinion. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back.

Ate here for the first time today! Without reservation! It was a nice question and lo and behold, it was possible. 1 fixed 3-course menu, otherwise no other food can be ordered! But it was fine for us! Everything came to the table very quickly and hot! It tasted good, but unfortunately the sauce was missing from the main course! The dessert was super delicious! The service was good. The prices are very moderate! Conclusion: Another visit will definitely be planned!

Spent 4 great days in the hunting lodge. We had the wine tower room. Beautiful romantic accommodation.

Great hunting lodge with simple rooms, great ambience but still affordable. The restaurant is also in the castle and is next to the hotel, and the prices there are still affordable. The breakfast is not spectacular, but everything is okay and good.

We were there over the weekend and had the Prince and Princess arrangement plus an additional fruit basket and a bottle of sparkling wine. The room we stayed in the Kavaliershaus, number 32, was really great. It was very large and the beds were good and the room was very, very quiet. What we liked. Only the gap in the double bed was very annoying because it was very wide. The bathroom with a bathtub was also sufficient. Here too, however, there is a shortcoming. The exit from the bathtub is deeper than the entrance, which was rather uncomfortable because you have to hold on to something to avoid slipping. The fruit basket, consisting of 2 apples, 2 tangerines, 2 kiwis and some physalis, does not correspond to the value of what you paid for it. Sparkling wine was good. The breakfast at the Kaiserhof offered a lot. However, it was right at the entrance and all guests with dogs had to walk past it. Which wasn't as nice. The scrambled eggs were ice cold (no warming plate) and some of the tartare that was served for breakfast was already gray. Since our arrangement included half board, we had imagined something different, as it was a castle and not exactly cheap. The food on Friday was very simple, which wouldn't have been a problem if it had been good. But unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. The second dish that was available probably wasn't either, as some guests complained about it. Even if the chef is sick, the quality should not suffer. On Saturday morning, the dinner menu was displayed on a stand at breakfast. We were looking forward to it because it was really good and it was something that corresponded to fine dining. Then in the evening there was a big disappointment. You couldn't choose from the menu presented in the morning, but between turkey and pork schnitzel. What a failure. The schnitzels that came from the freezer and were cut into small pieces were somewhat tolerable, but not what was advertised in advance. You couldn't use the wellness facilities at all because there was no masseur available here either. There was also no room service. I made our bed myself and the trash can wasn't emptied. Conclusion: Unfortunately, the price performance is absolutely not right. Since I gave the arrangement to my husband for Christmas, it was even more annoying. My husband just said..."Luckily we don't have to go here anymore!" It's a shame about so much money and the unfortunately unsuccessful Christmas present.

We stayed at the Letzlingen hunting lodge for 1 night in a double room in the Kavalierhaus. This is an annex building with small rooms. According to the description it should be 18 m² with a 1.80 m double bed. Unfortunately, neither of these are true. If I lie across the bed and my feet hang out (I'm 1.65 m tall), the bed is only 1.60 m tall. That's not enough for 2 pensioners. There is 1 nightstand next to the bed, then the wall. The usable space is therefore only 3 x 3 m. To be fair, this should be changed on the Internet. I would rather book 2 single rooms. I saw the door open when checking out, it seems they have the same area. But I understand that nothing can be changed due to the historical structure of the building. Now comes the positive: The staff was extremely friendly, so I can't understand any criticism to the contrary. The room was very clean, the mattresses were firm, the bed linen and the additional pillow arrangement were clean. That too has already been criticized. The food was good and reasonable for the price. So no champagne and caviar at the buffet, but soup in the evening, two different main courses, and dessert in a glass. The food was hot and tasted good. In the morning there was plenty of different things from the buffet, and you could get your own coffee from the machine. After checking out, we took a look at the museum, which is housed in part of the castle. A very committed employee explained everything to us in detail. The museum runs the city, but the friendliness matches our other experience. It is certainly very expensive to keep such an “old box running”. But it was a nice experience.

Ein, bestimmt, romantisches Hotel. Das Bett hat mir gut gefallen, schöne harte Matratze und das Zimmer insgesamt hatte ein angenehmes Raumklima. Der Fernseher könnte eine Nummer größer sein, der Platz ist ja vorhanden. Frühstück ist ebenfalls okay.

Das neugotische Jagdschloss hat von der Anlage Potential, leider ist der „Lack ab“ und in der Lage lohnt bestimmt auch keine umfassende Neugestaltung. Unser Zimmer für 2 Erwachsene und ein Kind hatte gefühlte 7 Quadratmeter ohne Bad, welches eine Schiebetür besitzt, denn eine normale Tür wäre schon zu groß. Vom Bett kann man jede Wand berühren und ein Kleiderschrank passt schon von der Größe des Zimmers nicht. Kleidung legt man auf den Boden, falls die kleine Garderobe voll ist. Im Bad sind die Wartungsfugen gerissen und verschimmelt, Wässer läuft hinter die Duschwanne, der Lüfter hat die Lautstärke eines laufenden LKWs, Spinnweben hängen von der Decke. Im Gebäude riecht es feucht, der leere Burggraben verursacht ebenfalls eine Geruchsentwicklung. Das Restaurant/Frühstück (Start um 8 Uhr) war um 08:09 Uhr noch abgeschlossen, und war leider von schlechter Qualität und Auswahl: das Rührei war total angebrannt und schmeckte auch so, an der Kaffeemaschine hingen schleimige und vertrocknete Milchreste, obwohl wir die ersten Gäste waren. Im dritten Anlauf gab es eine korrekte Rechnung, über das Personal gibt es nichts zu meckern, und nichts positives zu sagen. Alles Luxusprobleme, wenn man überhaupt reisen darf und kann - so aber keine Wiederholung wert. Mit Liebe zum Detail wäre viel Potential.
