Extremely bad, check the bread you eat in the morning!

Always a pleasure to stay here when I'm in Solingen. Well-maintained hotel with all the comforts. Friendly service. Rooms are always very clean and well-kept.

Unfortunately, we can only give the accommodation a very poor rating. We were a large wedding party. Even in advance, the planning was very unreliable, and guests were given details and promises that were not recorded and not kept. The staff on site were very unfriendly. A previously planned breakfast together didn't work out. They wanted us to give them exact times for when we wanted breakfast as a group, and yet we found only uncleaned tables and, above all, no space for us as a group. Everyone sat separately at dirty tables.

Our friend booked this hotel for us! Since we're dog owners, he was only offered a room in the neighboring building, the "Schulhaus"! Unfortunately, he didn't get to see it beforehand! The room was a disaster! Dirty, partially torn curtains! The bathroom was old! The shower stall was showing its age, and the toilet seat...🫣 The room couldn't be properly lit because the lowest-rated energy-saving bulbs were used everywhere! The carpet was absolutely insane! It was stained and filthy through and through! I'm annoyed that we didn't leave the hotel right away! It's ridiculous to rent something like that these days! I even told the receptionist this the next day, before we left! This dump can't be called a hotel! An absolute disgrace!!!! The reception... well, enough has been said about that already!

We were only here for one night for a celebration. The room was in the building opposite the hotel. Very quaint, we felt very comfortable.

I highly recommend this hotel. Located in the historic old town (Gräfrath) of Solingen. Very nice. The rooms were also very tidy and quiet. Perhaps they could install laminate flooring instead of carpet.

We spent a weekend in Gräfrath with a group of 12 people. Some of us stayed in the main building and were very happy with the facilities. The other group stayed at the Gasthaus am Markt (Market Inn), where the rooms were unfortunately very disappointing. While they were large and clean, the furniture left a lot to be desired: some of it was old and worn, mismatched, and uninviting. There was hardly any storage space in the bathroom. In summary: the rooms in the main building are very good and worth the price; those at the Gasthaus am Markt (Market Inn) are far too expensive in comparison (the price difference is very small). The breakfast, which left nothing to be desired, and the friendliness of the staff are undoubtedly worth mentioning. Conclusion: We recommend the Gräfrath Inn, also due to its location, but only if you stay in the main building.

Nice hotel! Rooms are clean and modern. The Hotel also has a guesthouse with rooms for families. In those rooms you have the ability to cook your own food.

Beautiful hotel, well located. Our double room was fully booked due to a wedding, and we got a nice apartment right next to the parking lot. Very good breakfast. Everyone was very nice. All in all, recommended, just not the cheapest. Would book here again.

Unfortunately, we also had to make the acquaintance of the unpleasant lady at the reception. For example, the tokens for exiting the parking lot were supposedly only to be issued immediately before leaving the premises. I had informed them that we had to go to a wedding in an hour. Nothing to be done—I'll have to come back if we want to leave. I should have just said, "Oh yeah, we want to leave now." 🙄 That's customer unfriendly to the max. 1. You often have little time right when you have to leave, and 2. As an adult and customer, I'm supposed to decide for myself when to redeem the token. Pure power play, which fit with the generally unfriendly attitude. The room was fine, breakfast too. The staff there was extremely nice, by the way! It's a shame that the first impression is so bad when you're greeted.

We stayed at the Gräfrather Hof with our baby for a wedding in Solingen over the weekend. The room was clean and well-maintained, the bathroom modern and perfectly fine. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and we were particularly pleased with the warm welcome and the excellent service from the receptionist, Mr. Theivendran. You added a very personal touch to our stay, for which we would like to express our sincere gratitude. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to do so before we left, but we can imagine spending another longer vacation at the Gräfrather Hof.

This is the fifth time I have been a repeat guest at intervals of 2-3 years and I am always happy to be a guest at the Grefrather Hof!

The hotel was good and met our expectations. The rooms were adequately large, clean, and nicely furnished. We were particularly impressed by the excellent location—central yet quiet. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Overall, a pleasant stay that we would happily recommend. The value for money was right.

Nice, well-maintained hotel with a generous, good breakfast (although the rolls were a disaster). As we left, we were greeted with the message that we had to pay for another bottle of water. The reason was that instead of the warm water in our room (outside temperature 35 degrees), we had taken one from the minibar (same brand, same size, but medium). When I asked why we weren't allowed to exchange it, I received a loud lecture about different item numbers and tax exemptions and so on. The morning receptionist had obviously never heard of customer service and service; flexibility and friendliness look a different story. The behavior was simply unfriendly to the point of abysmal. Not like that, folks!

I stayed in September 2024 with a friend. I left the hotel around 5 a.m. The police stopped by. The receptionist, Ms. Himmel, claimed I had greeted her naked in my room. OUTRAGEOUS!!! The fact is that I had minor outpatient surgery on my head the day before (removal of atheroma) and only asked for a plaster because my head was bleeding and my pillow was covered in blood. The court hearing is in August. If the "lady" sticks to her false testimony, she faces at least a year in prison. I have informed management. To date, no response. NEVER AGAIN Gräfrater Hof!!!

We were invited to a wedding in the monastery hall. I would like to particularly emphasize the ambiance and the courteous treatment of guests. I would love to return here anytime and can only agree with the other positive reviews.

I wasn't satisfied at all. There was a lot of street light in my room at night, and I could hear everything from the street. I slept very badly. On top of that, the lady at the reception desk was very unpleasant. I won't choose this hotel again next time.

We stayed there when we were guests of the Catlounge. A great little hotel with super nice service and definitely worth 4 stars. If you like it clocky and modern, this is the place for you.

We were invited to a celebration in December and stayed overnight at the Gräfrather Hof. Our room was large and clean, the breakfast was very good. There were only difficulties when checking in; the employee was very unfriendly. Your colleagues in service and during check-out were very hard-working, so we are happy to recommend the hotel.

I rate the hotel and brewery. Very nice waiters in the brewery and staff in the hotel. Room cozy. There is home-brewed beer, Zwickel, Pils and Alt. Very good home-style food! Everything is great! We had a lovely Christmas with the family. Thanks!

Rooms are clean and modern. Breakfast buffet is great. The staff is very nice and accommodating. If you stay overnight here, you should definitely eat at the Gräfrather Klosterbräu restaurant. Price/performance is top and you will be served very warmly.

We were very happy with the room. A modern room integrated into a historic building. There was even a bottle of water and a small coffee bar for free in the room.

Everyone was nice, service was good, rooms were clean, breakfast buffet was great, reception was open 24 hours a day. Gladly again! Church bells a bit annoying in the morning.

Were in the next house. The rooms are clean but dated. The bathroom is a disaster. The shower doesn't work at all. The faucet extends into the small shower cubicle, so you can constantly reach it and adjust the temperature. The shower is outdated and does what it wants. If you haven't accidentally adjusted the temperature, it will adjust itself. Everything from ice cold to boiling hot is available. In my opinion, you can expect more for a €100 double room.

Everything was clean, the training room was perfectly prepared for the participants. Sandwiches, fresh milk for coffee. Lots of drinks and coffee with cake in the afternoon. The entire cake was very tasty in all variations. Regular inquiries about whether everything is good or whether you need anything.

Nicely located hotel in a good area of ​​Solingen. Very attentive staff, even thought of many little things in the room. Wake-up time is at 7 a.m., evening and morning. The nearby church takes care of that. Basics (cleanliness, local information, good TV football reception...) all fulfilled.

Super beautifully located hotel. The town center of Gräfrath is incredibly beautiful. The Gräfrather Hof is a good address. Rooms are sufficiently large, clean and well equipped. Only the heat in the room (even though the heating is off) is really too much in mid-April with outside temperatures of 16 degrees at 10 p.m. I found it very, very warm. It's also a bit noisy. The breakfast is great and should leave nothing to be desired. All in all great

We stayed at the hotel for one night to visit the Christmas market at Grünewald Castle. As part of an arrangement there were 2 bottles of wine and an Altbier tasting plus dinner in the Klosterbräu. We were able to choose a 3-course menu from the menu. The food was quite good, but the restaurant was very crowded and loud due to several Christmas parties. The service handled this very well and was always friendly and in a good mood. We stayed in the main house, everything was very modern and well maintained - nothing was missing. Rich breakfast buffet and always a friendly look and greeting when we passed the reception.

Meinen Hund und mich erwartete ein vorbildlich sauberes Zimmer mit sehr vollständiger Ausstattung. Über das Frühstück kann ich leider nichts sagen, da ich es nicht in Anspruch genommen habe. Das Personal ist freundlich und erfüllt jeden Wunsch. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen.

Our room was not at the same building as the reception and at night time I didn’t find it initially the entrance. Other than that, all was nice and good. Parking was next to the building! Convenient! Hot shower, removable shower head which was a plus, great breakfast, and serene surroundings in the morning time where a walk around is suggested!

Für unser empfinden eher ein bodenständiges 3-Sterne Hotel. Allgemein abgewohntes Zimmer mit muffigem Geruch. Insekten und Dreck unter den Büchern. (siehe Bild) Positiv ausgefallen ist das renovierte Bad. Leider war dort ein abstoßender Fön verbaut. (siehe Bild) Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbüffet war reichlich aber qualitativ nicht überzeugend. Allgemein zu hoher Preis für den Zustand.

Meine Gäste sind dort bestens untergebracht und immer sehr zufrieden!

Ein sehr schönes, kleines Hotel in einem wunder hübschen Ort. Mein Zimmer war groß und die Betten bequem. Das Bad war gut eingerichtet, sogar mit Kosmetikspiegel, was ich sehr schätze. Insgesamt alles nicht super modern, aber ich habe mich wohl gefühlt und wunderbar geschlafen. Das Frühstück war reichlich und auch der Frühstücksraum ansprechend. Ich komme gern wieder.

Gute Lage, Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hotel eigener Parkplatz. Zimmer sauber und ruhig, überzeugendes Frühstücksbuffet. Eierspeisen nach Wunsch. Gerne wieder. Sehr romantische Lage in einem alten Stadtbereich.

Ein Hotel lebt vor allem vom Service. Da kann ich nur sagen: erste Klasse. Alle Mitarbeiter waren stets freundlich und haben alle meine Wünsche erfüllt. Mein Zimmer im Haupthaus war zwar klein aber auch für eine Person auch ausreichend. Sehr sauber und modern. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut und so umfangreich, dass jeder Geschmack etwas findet.

Die Zimmerdecken sind ein wenig sehr niedrig, was für großgewachsene Menschen eher einschränkend ist. Die Treppen in den alten Bergischen Häusern sind auch nicht leicht begehbar. Da es dann in solchen Häusern eben auch keine Aufzüge gibt/geben kann, muss ich einen Stern abziehen. Alles andere war einfach toll. Das Essen im Hotel hervorragend. Das freundliche Personal wird nicht müde, den Gästen die etwas verwirrende Häuseraufteilung zu erklären. Auch sind sie bei einer Veranstaltung fast besser informiert als die Gäste und wissen, wo es lang geht. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und überaus köstlich. Es ist fast schade, dass ich nur eine Stadt weiter wohne, sonst lohnte es sich eher, hier her zurück zu kommen.

Ein toller und ruhiger Ort, gut zum Entspannen. Nettes, freundliches Personal, leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, leckeres Bier - einfach schön. Herzlichen Dank nochmals für das tolle Wochenende.

Sehr schönes Örtchen, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet. Die Zimmer könnten etwas moderner sein. Einen schönen kleinen Balkon gibt es auch. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Waren für einen Geburtstag aus Bayern angereist. Ein einmaliger Stadtteil von Solingen! Die Mitarbeiter von der Rezeption waren ALLE sehr sehr freundlich und kompetent. Frühstück perfekt. Chefin vom Restaurant "einmalig" und das Essen sehr gut. Wir werden wieder kommen...spätestens zum nächsten Familientreffen. Vielen Dank.

Wir haben für eine Geburtstagsfeier über das Hotel Gräfrather Hof den Raum Postillion gemietet. Der Service, das Buffet und die Räumlichkeit war für uns und die Gäste ausgezeichnet. Der Kontakt von der Anfrage, der Planung und der Feier war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Traumhafte Umgebung, wirklich sehr nettes Personal. Die Zimmer sind nett, könnten teils aber ein wenig moderner sein, aber dennoch wirklich gut. Und es gibt sehr gutes Mett zum Frühstück. Das Essen generell ist lecker.
