Duhnen ist ein angenehmer Ortsteil mit vielen Möglichkeiten um gut essen zu gehen, eine Wattwanderung zu machen, spazieren zu gehen usw. Auch das Familien Busticket ist toll. Kleines Geld und fahren so viel man möchte.

Heute Abend in der Post gegessen. Sehr leckeres Essen. Habe mir.di3 Krabbensuppe und den Cuxhavener Pannfisch bestellt. Beides war super super lecker. Die Preise waren völlig in Ordnung und die Servicemitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Klare Empfehlung!

Wir hatten den Pannfisch mit Bratkartoffel und Rumpsteak mit Pommes mit Salat.Das Essen sehr schmackhaft und großzügige Portionen.Wir kommen gerne wieder.

​Der Kutscherburger war die absolut richtige Wahl! Saftiges Fleisch, perfekt abgestimmte Zutaten und ein richtig ehrlicher, herzhafter Geschmack. Zusammen mit der gemütlichen Atmosphäre im Gasthof und dem aufmerksamen Service einfach ein rundum perfektes Essen. 5 Sterne, dicker Daumen nach oben!

Wir waren im Restaurant und haben sehr lecker gegessen. Der Service war Tipp Topp. Sehr schönes Ambiente im Restaurant. Kurzum: Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles Gute wünscht Tisch 13.

Mein Besuch am 08.05.2026 beschränkte sich nur auf das Essen hier: Spargel und Lachs. Das hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Deshalb kann ich genau dieses Gericht empfehlen. Der Service war nett und aufmerksam.

Das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet. Wir haben sensationell lecker gegessen. Das Cordon bleu war handgemacht und lecker. Das vegetarische Auberginen-Parmesan-Schnitzel mit Tomatenjus hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr freundlich.

Für uns das beste Restaurant in Duhnen. Sowohl Fisch- und Fleischgerichte sind hervorragend zubereitet. Preis-/Leistung ist top. Auch die Biersorten sind außergewöhnlich und wirklich lecker. Wir können das Restaurant wirklich empfehlen.

Geht leider gar nicht, Schimmel im Kühlschrank, Frühstück im anderen Gebäude, keiner vor Ort. Auf Anfrage hätte wir für den selben Preis ein Zimmer 10 Minuten entfernt bekommen können welches dann aber nicht mehr am Strand liegt. Laute Handwerksgeräusche ab 8 Uhr morgens. Immerhin das Bad war mirdeen und neu, wenn auch nicht groß. Das nächste mal lieber wieder Hotel Seeschwalbe

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort, da in unserem Gästehaus das Frühstück nicht mehr angeboten werden konnte. An 5 Tagen konnten wir uns ein guten Eindruck verschaffen. In Büfettform war alles soweit vorhanden. Nettes Ambiente und bemühte Mitarbeiter. Zum Hotel und dem sonstigen Essen können wir natürlich nicht viel sagen.

Für heute ( Dienstag)ein Tisch bestellt und das Personal hat sogar noch nachgefragt und die Reservierung aufgeschrieben. Heute hat sich rausgestellt das Dienstag Ruhetag ist. Traurig das das Personal uns nicht drauf hingewiesen hat oder weiß das Personal selber nicht wann sie Ruhetag haben.trauig aber war. So kann man dieses Restaurant nicht weiter empfehlen. Für mich ist so was ein No go das das Personal sich nicht auskennt........

Bei der Buchung über Booking.com wurde an keiner Stelle darauf hingewiesen, dass es Einschränkungen durch Schließung oder Umbauarbeiten gibt. Erst nach der Buchung haben wir auf der Website des Hotels den Hinweis gesehen: „Restaurant in Winterpause bis Mitte/Ende März. Hotel & Bistro (Blauths) sind weiterhin geöffnet.“ Deshalb sind wir davon ausgegangen, dass lediglich das Restaurant geschlossen ist, der Hotelbetrieb aber normal weiterläuft. Vor Ort stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass sich praktisch das gesamte Hotel im Umbau befand. Es standen Baugerüste und Netze am Gebäude, außer den Zimmern war alles geschlossen. Auch vor unserem Fenster befanden sich ein Gerüst und ein Netz. Eine Rezeption oder Mitarbeitende vor Ort gab es ebenfalls nicht. Als wir den Schlüssel aus dem Schlüsselkasten holten, sahen wir einen Hinweis, dass das Frühstück im Nachbarhaus stattfindet. Das wäre für uns zunächst kein großes Problem gewesen, die Qualität war jedoch leider sehr schlecht. Es gab eine Etagere mit Aufschnitt, Obst usw., allerdings waren die Weintrauben verschimmelt und die Kaffeetassen offensichtlich nicht ordentlich gespült. Im Zimmer angekommen mussten wir feststellen, dass der Kühlschrank ausgeschaltet war, obwohl die Tür geschlossen war. Beim Öffnen sahen wir dann, dass der Kühlschrank innen verschimmelt ist. Wir haben bewusst ein Zimmer mit Kühlschrank gebucht, weil wir Medikamente benötigen, die gekühlt werden müssen. Am nächsten Morgen begannen bereits sehr früh die Bauarbeiten. An Erholung war nicht zu denken. Auf dem Flur wurde laut gerufen, dazu kamen Bohr- und Hammergeräusche. Es handelte sich also keineswegs um leise Arbeiten. Da vor Ort alles geschlossen war, gab es keine Rezeption, an die man sich direkt hätte wenden können. Wir versuchten daher, das Hotel telefonisch um 8:24 Uhr zu erreichen, konnten jedoch niemanden sprechen und mussten auf den Anrufbeantworter sprechen. Erst um 11:14 Uhr kam ein Rückruf mit dem Angebot, in ein anderes Haus umzuziehen. Wir erklärten, dass dies gerade nicht möglich sei, da wir mit dem Auto in Bremerhaven unterwegs waren und uns am Abend noch einmal melden würden. Um 14:50 Uhr erhielten wir dann eine E-Mail, dass dort bereits eine Wohnung für uns vorbereitet worden sei. Währenddessen hatten wir die Adresse des anderen Hauses geprüft. Das Angebot kam für uns nicht infrage, da wir ganz bewusst zentral und strandnah, direkt bei den Restaurants, gebucht hatten. Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen war es uns nicht möglich, ständig zwischen Strand, der weiter entfernten Unterkunft und Restaurants hin- und herzulaufen. Genau für diese Lage hatten wir schließlich auch einen höheren Preis in Kauf genommen. Andere Unterkünfte in vergleichbar weiterer Entfernung wären deutlich günstiger gewesen. Als wir 20min nach der E-Mail, um 15:10 Uhr zurückriefen, war schon niemand mehr erreichbar. Wir schrieben also eine E-Mail und erklärten, warum ein Umzug für uns nicht infrage kommt. Außerdem baten wir darum, die Bauarbeiten am frühen Morgen wenigstens auf leisere Tätigkeiten zu beschränken. Eine Antwort darauf erhielten wir erst am nächsten Tag um 12:51 Uhr. Als „Entschädigung“ wurde uns angeboten, uns ein Fischbrötchen im Bistro nebenan abzuholen. Darauf haben wir verzichtet. Es gab weder ein Angebot, den verschimmelten Kühlschrank zu reinigen oder auszutauschen, noch eine angemessene Entschädigung für die massiven Beeinträchtigungen. Zur Erreichbarkeit möchte ich noch sagen: Ich erwarte in einem kleinen Hotel keine 24-Stunden-Rezeption. Aber dass man morgens nicht einmal vor 11 Uhr jemanden erreichen kann und ab 15 Uhr schon wieder niemand mehr verfügbar ist, halte ich für nicht akzeptabel. Fazit: Die Angaben waren aus unserer Sicht irreführend. Bei Booking gab es keinen Hinweis auf diese erheblichen Einschränkungen, und auch der Hinweis auf der Website ließ nicht erkennen, dass sich praktisch das gesamte Hotel in einem massiven Umbau befindet. Der Aufenthalt war durch den Lärm, die hygienischen Mängel, die schlechte Erreichbarkeit und die fehlende Lösung massiv beeinträchtigt.

Das Restaurant in der Post war geschlossen, Frühstück gab es deshalb nebenan. Dort gab es kein Buffet und auch keine große Auswahl an Frühstück. Sitzen konnte man auf harten Holzbänken ohne Rückenlehne. Die Betten waren extrem weich ( kein Lattenrost ). Wir hatten kein bzw. sehr wenig Internetzugang. Es gab keinen Ansprechpartner, auch telefonisch war keiner zu erreichen. Es gab sehr viele Sprachbarrieren. Bei der Frage nach Süßstoff mußte erst gefragt werden, was das denn sei und bei Nachfrage nach einem Ei bekam man die Antwort "es ist keins da". Es gibt keinen Lift, somit ist der Aufenthalt für Gebehinderte nicht gut geeignet. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön. Schön gelegen. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten gut zu essen.

Positiv : a aktuell unten renoviert wird gab es das Frühstück nebenan. Frische noch warme Brötchen, Wurst, Käse und Obst gab es direkt am Tisch. Müsli, Marmelade und Honig konnte man sich seperat holen. Positiv war auch das Angebot der Mitarbeiterin da meine Tochte es wohl nicht bis 10Uhr schafft : Sie kann auch weit danach kommen da sie ja eh in der Küche ist. Den Strand erreicht man in 3 Gehminuten und falls mal was fehlt ist gegenüber eine Edeka Negativ : Wir hatten Zimmer 2 + 3. Beide wurden nicht wirklich warm trotz Heizung auf 5. Hinter den Betten zog immer ein leichter Wind was auf eine nicht ausreichende Dämmung zurückzuführen ist. Auch die Außenwände waren sehr kalt. Es war auch sehr hellhörig

Unser Sylvester Menü war gut. Aber der Service war nicht sylvesterlike. Der ‚Chef‘ mit blauem Hoddy und dazu Aushilskräfte , die plötzlich total überfordert waren.Viele Gäste saßen dort mit langen Gesichtern vor leeren Tischen. Schade, denn vor einigen Jahren hatte der Service noch gut funktioniert.

Only at the restaurant. !!! I saw it in passing; the ambiance was lovely and very inviting. So I went in and got a table for two right away. The concise yet sufficient menu made it easy for us to find something we liked. "Ötzi" schnitzel topped with Camembert and cranberries. What arrived was a schnitzel with three slices of Camembert and a rather small portion of fries. It was nicely presented, but not really "topped with cheese." But no matter, all doubts aside, let's try it. The fries were fantastic (perfect texture, saltiness, and appearance). The schnitzel wasn't bad either, although we were still wondering if it was fresh or pre-made. Unfortunately, dessert wasn't on the menu, but the friendly and competent server was able to tell us what was available. So we ordered another dessert, "Hot Love." The ice cream was delicious, but I suspect the fruit was from a jar and, unfortunately, only lukewarm. The fries were delicious, though. The waitress was friendly (the young lady), but the other two weren't so great. One was on his phone a lot, and the other was inattentive. Overall, 3.5-4 out of 5 stars. We would come back again and can recommend it. However, the prices are quite high.

Whoops, what's this? We booked online for five people, provided our contact details, and received confirmation. We arrived on time and found everything dark, the doors locked, and there was no sign on the door... We won't be using this venue again!

The food is delicious and the portions are just right. The prices are absolutely fair. The only downside is that we had to wait a long time for the bill, but that's not a big deal. We highly recommend this restaurant. We were a group of seven, and everyone was very satisfied!

First of all, I find it impossible to give multiple bad reviews if you've been dissatisfied with several people. One is completely sufficient. We had dinner at the Gasthof Zur Post today. The staff was friendly and quick. We enjoyed the food immensely, and we'll definitely be back.

Good evening to the very nice team! We reserved a table yesterday for today. After reading the last reviews, we were about to cancel, but then we wanted to see for ourselves what the place was like. Luckily!!! My mother always said, "As you come, so you'll be received." We were nice, and we were served just as nicely. This was our first time here and can't judge whether it was better in the past, but we enjoyed the cordon bleu and liver. The portions were generous, and it didn't look like it was thrown together, as described here. We're staying until Saturday and will come back again because I really want to try the ravioli. So, everything was absolutely perfect. One more small addition: We sat in the farmer's corner; it was very cozy, and the heating at the back was a real treat. See you soon. Best wishes.

We were there with our family for lunch. There's a wide selection of food and drinks. Everyone enjoyed the food. The service was impeccable, friendly, and prompt. The value for money is good. We can recommend the restaurant and would come back.

Three of us ate there. The food was okay, but nothing special, just average. Unfortunately, one dish was served with fries instead of the fried potatoes listed on the menu, which we only noticed afterward. However, as a chef, you should know your menu.

We were expecting traditional, home-style cooking, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case. The service was friendly and attentive, but the food was designed for mass consumption.

Only went there for dinner. The value for money was disgraceful. A fish platter for €30 per person promised a corresponding amount, but it fell far short. The quality of the food was rather average, but the prices were above average. Service was practically nonexistent, and there were several mix-ups with orders or the wrong items were served. It's a shame that there are no 0 stars. My family and I were in the restaurant of the inn today and were extremely disappointed. There were 6 of us and no one was satisfied. The waiters were very unfriendly and just as a side information, the fish platter is absolutely not a platter but a small plate and for 30 € that's really a joke.

We're on vacation in Cuxhaven and reserved a table because the place looks very nice from the outside. When we arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes for our table because apparently there were no free tables. Six of us ended up sitting at two tables pushed together, which was very uncomfortable. The change came quickly the first time, but that was also the last time we saw them. We ordered three "platters," which definitely shouldn't be considered "platters." The presentation and taste of the food were reminiscent of barracks food, and the prices for the food are truly outrageous. Highly recommended.

It was a complete disappointment. The food was carelessly prepared and of subpar quality. Salad was from a packet. Service was virtually nonexistent. Grilled and fish platters for over €30 were truly outrageous.

When we go on holiday to Duhnen we always eat at this restaurant. On Monday we were almost completely shocked. The grill plate was indefinable, so horrible for 30 euros. The veal liver was burnt on one side and so tough you couldn't chew it, with fried onions from a bag. What's going on here? It comes with fresh onions and apple pieces.

We were only there for dinner, but unfortunately, nothing is the same anymore. The service isn't well-trained; we waited almost half an hour for our drinks. The food wasn't well-presented; the fish was sitting on fried potatoes, with a dressed salad next to it, and a small bowl of tartar sauce next to it, all on one plate. We won't be visiting the restaurant again; we used to love it.

We've enjoyed eating at the Post for years whenever we're in Cuxhaven. This time, however, we were a bit disappointed with the food. It wasn't bad, but somehow not what it used to be, or rather, not "special." It felt more like just another restaurant. The menu had also changed, and we somehow missed that typical German restaurant flavor.

Yes the food was ok not too expensive

Where are the owners, where's the chef? We went there almost every year, and everything was really great. Everything! Staff, food, prices, beer selection. Today, September 19, 2025, none of that is there anymore! The food doesn't taste good anymore, the beer wasn't what it used to be either. The staff tries hard, but that doesn't save the place. Please note, this review only applies to the restaurant. Too bad, you're losing all your customers; they'd rather go to the snack bar next door. Too bad

A mixed experience Positive: Neat and practically furnished rooms. Central location and proximity to the beach. Parking on site. Contrary: No reception, keys in a key box, and a code for the front door. Everything was very anonymous. Breakfast was generally fine, but something was constantly missing, and the only server was overwhelmed. Loud arguments among the staff created a bad atmosphere. Our dinner reservation wasn't registered. The plaice fillet and the pan-fried fish were very dry and had probably been kept warm or reheated for some time, as were the fried potatoes served with them. After our criticism, they at least offered a partial price reduction.

Very attentive staff, great selection of fish dishes

We weren't staying at the hotel, so no review. We returned to the restaurant after about 1.5 years and were sadly completely disappointed. Nothing remains of what was once a very "warm" restaurant with a great atmosphere, good food, and friendly service. Uninterested, inattentive waiters and insignificant, miniature appetizers that didn't match the description. After waiting 1.5 hours for our main course, we'd had enough, paid for our meals up to that point, and left. We'll never go back here again.

A large sign outside the restaurant says they serve hot meals until 9:00 PM. We arrived at 8:05 PM, and they literally said, "We don't have anything left to do, so the kitchen is already closed." I'd be concerned about why you don't have anything left to do at 8:00 PM. In any case, we're not giving you any more work.

Food and cutlery were brought out at different times. In general, it took forever. Drinks were forgotten/swapped.

It's going to be difficult. We were there in 2024 (ate several times). Everything was excellent. Good service. The children's corner was a great overall package. In 2025, the service was poor. Even paying was a challenge for the Keller (dessert was completely forgotten/we had to reorder drinks at the counter ourselves. The children's corner was also no longer available). All in all, it seems like the owners aren't particularly gastronomically inclined and perhaps they'd be better off trying their luck with a snack bar.

Very central, the young man was very friendly and helpful

We went there for dinner today and were unfortunately quite disappointed. The waitresses were sometimes running around with the drinks and didn't know which table the drinks belonged to...well, okay...our children had asked for a sheet of paper to draw on and the waitress forgot about it, so after 15 minutes we asked another waitress, who kindly brought us two sheets. But that's beside the point. Our children love spaetzle and were really looking forward to their children's portion of spaetzle. Unfortunately, we had to eat it after two forks because they didn't taste good at all. They were overcooked, soggy, and tasted like water. It's a shame to offer something like that to children. Then the children will probably switch to nuggets next time...the adult dishes were mixed. Some were quite good, some were very, very bland. However, I found it a disgrace that we pointed out to the waitress at the end that the spaetzle was a disaster. One bowl was almost completely full. The dishes were charged in full, and they didn't even think to apologize or maybe even offer the kids a free scoop of ice cream for dessert. Truly sad. We went there with a good feeling and were looking forward to it, but we can't recommend the restaurant and will avoid it in the future.

We went there for dinner yesterday. The staff were very friendly, especially a young lady. We didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. The food was 👍very delicious, so we're going back tonight.

No crabs on Saturday evening at a restaurant by the sea. Although there were crabs in many dishes. Okay, that's acceptable. The alternative dish wasn't seasoned, and the salad had no dressing. More like cafeteria quality. But the icing on the cake was the server's reaction when confronted with it. We could have called earlier. We would have liked to have if we could have found someone. We only sat there for 20 minutes with empty glasses. For years, we'd been to Duhnen at least twice a year and then visited the restaurant several times. And we were always very satisfied. After tonight, that's over for now.

Great food, reasonable prices, large portions

We went to the restaurant and unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The service was very cold and uninterested. That wasn't service. The food was served with different ingredients than what was listed on the menu. The waiter even denied this - everything was in there, but I just hadn't seen the green asparagus 😅 It didn't taste like much either. It could be much better!

We ate at the Hotel Gasthof zur Post. My husband's schnitzel was cooked to perfection, well breaded, and delicious. Unfortunately, there was no lemon wedge or green garnish. The fries were good. My fried herring from the lunch menu was okay. The young man who served us was very friendly.

The two of us were at the Post Office in the evening and sat outside in the winter garden. The restaurant was very busy at the time, but we were still served very quickly and friendly. Here you can choose from four beers on tap. For our main course, we both had the tagliatelle with spinach and salmon. Highly recommended. The salmon isn't mixed in, but you get three salmon fillet steaks, seared until slightly crispy on one side. That really adds that extra something. The tagliatelle with spinach was also delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly throughout. Therefore, this place is definitely worth recommending without reservation.

Simply delicious super nice again and again

We visited this restaurant for the first time today. We were very satisfied with the food and the professional and very friendly service. We reserved a table for two days later. The overweight waitress was very unfriendly; the first time, we were served by a very friendly and competent, slim woman. The gentleman at the reception desk couldn't even find our reservation on his tray. The value for money is good. The plaice fillet was very well prepared. We can only recommend this restaurant, as it doesn't have a mass-processing system. Unfortunately, a number of things have changed for the worse, which our friends also confirmed. Not only was the staff a disaster, the beer was also stale and tasted awful. The fried potatoes were dripping with grease, disgusting. We can no longer recommend this restaurant.

This isn't our first time coming to this restaurant. But at lunchtime on Whit Monday, we were very disappointed, even though we had pre-ordered. We had opted for the beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage and were really looking forward to the meal. When it was served, it felt as if the food had been prepared in a company canteen. Everything was just lukewarm, slapped onto the plate. The roulade had no flavor and was also tough. We've never had anything like this happen here before. So, it wasn't worth the almost €22. When the waitress asked me if I liked the food, and I told her that I didn't, she simply replied, "Everyone cooks differently." On that day, visiting this restaurant was not recommended. So, we won't be visiting this restaurant again anytime soon.

We had a wonderful dinner there. The service was excellent. The ambiance ranged from rustic to stylish. There were children's art supplies. The prices were reasonable.

A very cozy restaurant. The winter garden offers a view of the local activity. We popped in spontaneously and were warmly welcomed. Our dishes were excellent. We had the coastal platter and the finch-seared plaice. It was delicious. Highly recommended.

There were four of us there. Our confirmed table reservation through OpenTable didn't arrive at the restaurant, but we were seated anyway. It was very crowded, and the service had some hiccups. Ultimately, however, all of our dishes were once again very, very delicious, and the waiters were always friendly. See you next time!

The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was well-chosen and delicious. The only downside was the poor TV reception. Otherwise, we were very satisfied.

Four of us visited the restaurant on Easter Saturday. Mega-friendly staff, attentive, humorous, really pleasant. The food was absolutely top. In any case, we'll come back here again. Our companions have made another reservation for Easter Monday. You are parking days longer in Duhnen. We cannot rate the rooms because we were only day guests. It felt good, the friendliness, the humor and the delicious food!

We stayed here for 2 nights. We liked it very much. We had 2 rooms with a sea view 🩵. Parking available at no extra charge. Check-in is easy. Subtlety top. Great location. Breakfast was particularly good. In the evening the food in the restaurant was very tasty and fresh.

We had dinner in the restaurant on two evenings. Our table reservations went smoothly. The food was freshly prepared and tasted very good. The first time we had crab soup and two types of bread with delicious dips as a starter, the main course was ravioli with rosemary goat cheese filling in walnut pesto with figs and the coastal plate, the second time we also had the bread with dips (this time with less bread and not so tasty dips), the main course was redfish, tagliatelle with tomato sauce and pollock fillet with mustard-dill sauce, fried onions, Fried potatoes and a small salad. Overall, the price-performance ratio is right, the portions are large enough, but people who are hungry should definitely choose an additional starter! The service was competent, friendly and quick.

When we entered the restaurant, the service staff was smoking. I'll leave this sentence alone... I would have liked to have a drink or two, but no one came over or asked. The food was ok, we had to get salt and pepper ourselves to season it, no service staff in sight, but the rush was long over and the restaurant was no longer full. Can't recommend the restaurant more. It used to be significantly better. Service very inattentive.

The food was super delicious. The dishes are very attractive and appetizingly prepared. It's a shame that the service team and the kitchen team don't seem to get along that well and unfortunately their discussions are so loud that they don't go unnoticed by me as a guest.

We only had breakfast here. The buffet was very limited, and at 9:15 a.m., hardly anything was being refilled.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights on business. Everything was prepared, and parking was included in the room rate. The breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic, only about 100 meters from the water. I would stay again anytime when I'm up here by the North Sea. Best regards, J. Allien

Simple, clean rooms with everything you need. Rich breakfast buffet and very friendly staff. A clogged shower drain was cleaned within an hour of us telling the waitress at the restaurant.

On December 31, 2024, four of us attended the New Year's Eve buffet at the Gasthof zur Post. It was wonderful. The food was of very high quality, there was a wide selection, and the food was constantly being refilled, leaving nothing to be desired. A big thank you to the friendly and attentive team. We'd love to come back!

A super nice little hotel near the beach. It feels very cozy and family-friendly; we had a wonderful stay.

Die Tages-Empfehlung war auf einer großen Tafel im Eingangsbereich mit 19,90 € angepriesen. Abgerechnet wurden 21,90 €. Begründung: neue Karte, der Preis auf der Tafel wurde nicht angepassst. Für eine Änderung der Beilage (Reis statt Pommes) wurden zusätzlich 2,50 € berechnet. Auf die Nachfrage, auf welcher Grundlage, wurde auf die erste Seite der Speisekarte verwisen. Dort konnten wir gemeinsam mit dem Kellner keinen Hinweis finden.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined significantly. We were very disappointed as we always ate there when we were on holiday in Duhnen. After I had to decide twice because the dish I had chosen was no longer there, I decided on a Jägerschnitzel. The schnitzel was made from pressed meat and was served deep fried. The sauce was a ready-made sauce, very poor quality. A small highlight were the fries, but I would have also gotten them at the snack bar. It's a shame for the beautiful restaurant.

Solid hotel Clean hotel in a good location including parking and attached restaurant and breakfast service. Absolutely ok. Highly recommended for a relaxing weekend trip. Breakfast is good and the dishes in the restaurant are also tasty. The location is absolutely great!

My wife wanted this because she can't eat a lot for health reasons (we mentioned this) and thinks it's a shame to order a normal dish and throw away the rest that she can't eat for health reasons, but that wasn't taken into account and it was reacted rudely (other guests at the neighboring table can confirm this because we met later) PS my wife is 46 years old Definitely not recommended P.S After this situation, we returned the order and left the restaurant

We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening, only the hotel is reviewed here. A nice little hotel in Duhnen. It is very centrally located and there is a bus stop about 30m next to the hotel. The room is good, in our room we also had a fridge, kettle and a capsule coffee machine. The service at breakfast, which was sufficient for us, was always very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately a star deduction because there is no reception and the hotel is closed on three days. I don't know if it's because it was just before the end of the season or because it's difficult to get staff in this industry at the moment. Nevertheless, I would recommend the hotel and book it again.

We had dinner at the post office this evening. We were served in a friendly manner by a young waitress. A nice modern menu, the fish was very well prepared. We'll be happy to come back in June and are annoyed that we only went to the post office for the first time today because we were turned away at another restaurant. Addendum. We went back to the post office for dinner. To my surprise, I discovered that the kitchen had deteriorated greatly. The food is no longer of the same quality as it used to be and the waiting time has also increased significantly. The staff has also been reduced, probably not trained staff. We've always enjoyed going to the post office, we'll be back next year and will give it another chance. I very much hope that the post office finds its former strength again.

The rating applies only to the restaurant. We found the food very good. Both the starter (two types of crab) and the main courses (salmon, pollack and redfish) were excellent. The price was also completely justified. Unfortunately, that was all positive. The food was great, but sometimes not hot. This was certainly because (as others have already noted) we had no cutlery when the food came. When we asked, the waiter told us that it would be coming soon. But that wasn't the case, we had to get it ourselves. We then received an unfriendly comment. The beer that came afterwards was just left there. Our baby had eaten something from the table. Of course something went wrong here, but we of course wiped it up after the end of the meal in every restaurant. There was no comment on this anywhere. It was mentioned here, even before the end of the meal, that some things didn't reach the mouth. In fact, the least number of things fell down here compared to other restaurants. Maybe it was meant to be funny, but it seemed more like a criticism. We then felt rather uncomfortable and then paid straight away. In the end it's a shame because the restaurant has a nice atmosphere inside and the food was really good. Hence the 3 stars, but we definitely won't be coming back.

We ate here again in the restaurant today. But unfortunately there isn't much positive to report. The staff was totally overwhelmed. At first there was no menu...we had to ask if we could get one. We also had to wait a long time for the drinks. The food came, but we didn't have any cutlery. We had to ask again now. This can happen, but normally the service should notice something like this. Food was super tasty and plentiful. There's nothing to complain about there. At the end we ordered something to drink again. But we didn't get this even after waiting 15 minutes. We then paid and left quite disappointed. We know it completely differently from the last few years.

The food last night was, as always, very good, but unfortunately you had to actively ask the waitress if something was missing (e.g. drinks, cutlery, bill), as the waitress preferred cell phone activity and cheekily sat down at the table when paying with the words 'well, we're ready now'. Very unfortunate.

Attention, restaurant reviews! The hotel was not visited. The food was good, tasty and plentiful. The service leaves more than a lot to be desired: long waiting times to even be able to order, and practically no service after the meal. We sat with empty plates for a good 25 minutes and had to ask several times to even be able to pay. Only about 30% of the tables were occupied. No recommendation.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was disappointing. The waiting times for the menus, drinks, food and the bill were very long. After asking again, we waited almost 1.5 hours for the food. When the food finally came, we had no cutlery. Which can normally happen, but has already happened at all the other tables around us. Still, we had to point it out ourselves because the service didn't notice. The staff was clearly overwhelmed and had no experience. Of course there is a shortage of staff everywhere, but then perhaps you shouldn't fill so many tables. The food was good so far, and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately they can't make up for the overall package. It's a shame, the evening really could have gone better here, especially since we were otherwise always happy here.

Very tasty food, value for money for Duhnen/Cuxhaven. The staff is super friendly and fit! The restaurant is very clean and stylishly furnished, there is a super large games corner. We were very satisfied and would love to come back!
