Holzkohlegrill in Kassel

I've been to this grill several times and have tried several things. The bratwurst in a bun is very tasty, but so are the currywurst with fries and the Krakauer. Prices are absolutely reasonable and portions are also plentiful! I'd love to come back!

Solala... The service was friendly and it was pretty quick since there wasn't too much of a crowd. What struck us negatively were the bar tables in front of the grill, which were all really dirty and sticky, as well as the now not so famous sausage. Although it is advertised that all products are of high quality and are even advertised with the name of the slaughterhouse where they come from, it was really not a revelation in terms of taste. The sausage itself was with a fine meat and seemed very "spongy", almost "airy", the fries, which looked like Belgian fries (a little wider) somehow had a fishy taste of their own, which was strange because no fish was offered. The grill itself looked clean, so I don't want to speculate how old the fryer oil might be. Apparently it seemed clean except for the previously mentioned tables. A bit disappointing. If you really want to eat really good sausage, you would be more likely to find it in Fritzlar at the upper Westfalen gas station or at the Lindenhof directly.

I was there in the evening on November 26th and a black-haired woman served me. Was super rude. You said the order and were stared at and didn't say a word at first. You really have to work on being polite and I felt super uncomfortable.

One of the best places to have Pommes fries with Jelapeno. The preparation was perfect with the sauces and little burning sensation made craving for more. Only issue might be the gusty winds blowing in the open space. It is better to take the wind barrier side.

Nice little snack bar in front of the dez (only outdoor restaurant next to Cristallo). There are also fries with special sauces and a good selection. The employees are friendly. There are two small areas with wind protection (should it be very windy), but unfortunately no seating.

We often go for currywurst with fries and garlic sauce. The girls are all super nice. The sausage with curry sauce is delicious. But one tip: please replace or sharpen the blade on the sausage grinder, as the sausage pieces are so shredded and too large... Otherwise, everything is great. Please follow the instructions... We were there at lunchtime today and shared the Currywurst + Fries Red/White offer. I have to say sausage and fries as well as mayonnaise are top. Decent portion. What wasn't so nice for me was actually the finished currywurst sauce. Extremely artificial from some bucket. Honestly people, today you can conjure up a great sauce during opening hours that has its own character and is also cheap to make. Otherwise everything was great including the lady in sales

The rolls are very well seasoned.

Food was very good (Thuringian Rostbratwurst and fries special) good, the ambience is just a sausage stand in front of a shopping center. But a nice one :)

For a little hunger in between, completely sufficient.
