We spontaneously stopped by for dinner. The roast venison was delicious, and the red cabbage was also sensational. The service was very friendly. The beer garden is inviting. We'd go back anytime.

We waited outside for the waiter to ask if there was a free seat in the beer garden. One person in our group wanted to use the restroom. Upon entering the restaurant, the waiter stopped him in a very harsh tone and said, "The restroom is for guests only!" Seriously? We thought we were hearing things. But the fact that the kitchen is supposedly already closed shortly after 1:00 PM shows that they obviously no longer need it. There's no mention of this online, by the way. Be that as it may... that's not how you treat your guests, and luckily, there's a fantastic alternative a few meters away, with a direct view of the lake, friendly service, and hot food served all day.

A very nice restaurant on the shores of Lake Schliersee. The beer garden is completely shaded. Service was very friendly, and the food was delicious. I had tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms; the menu was very informative. I would like to highlight the fact that the restaurant is very dog-friendly.

We always love coming here. The food is outstanding, and we're always greeted with a very friendly and courteous welcome, without exception. If possible, I would give it more than 5 stars. Table reservations always work out; we've never had a problem with that. If we have to wait five minutes to be shown to our table, it's not a big deal when I see how everyone works and hustles to please all our guests. We're already looking forward to next year and our next visit.

As regulars, we couldn't get a seat on a Wednesday lunchtime, even though I had made two reservations for that day by email. The staff explained: "We don't respond to emails."

Unfortunately, it was extremely unfriendly. We wanted a quick drink after hiking, but the waiter apparently wasn't so keen on that. We were rudely told that we had to be quick. I wouldn't recommend it.

Beautiful beer garden with a view of the lake, friendly staff, surf and turf is recommended, the toilets in the basement are in need of renovation, they don't fit in with the rest of the place.

I had a reservation here for a Saturday. We had a great outdoor spot in the sunshine with a direct view of the lake. Our waitress was super friendly, not pushy, but checked in every now and then to make sure everything was okay. The food (we had duck and fish) was excellent. I've rarely eaten such delicious, tender duck. The meat was perfectly cooked and tender. Kudos to the kitchen! The side dishes and dessert were also delicious 😋! I highly recommend this restaurant! One thing you should be aware of, however, is that there's virtually no parking there. You either have to park up on the street (with a parking disc, but only one hour Mon-Sat until 6 p.m.) or park at the train station, where there are two large parking lots with a parking permit.

If you're in Schliersee and enjoy fish, you absolutely have to go to the "Hofhaus am See." The service was very friendly, the food came quickly, tasted delicious, and the price was right! We sat on the terrace with a view of the lake and the magnificent mountains.

After our first dinner, we immediately made a reservation for the following evening. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive, and the view of the lake was beautiful.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a seat, even though there were plenty of free tables and we had asked for a reservation beforehand, as this wouldn't be possible after 6:30 p.m. We were then very rudely turned away.

We were hungry after a short hike today and stopped in spontaneously. Service was super friendly and accommodating. The two waiters were on the ball and always had a funny saying on their lips. The food was also very tasty and plentiful. Excellent value for money. Our orders were delivered very quickly, despite the beer garden being completely full. We'll be back.

Nachdem wir im letzten Jahr dort gespeist hatten und sehr zufrieden waren, sind wir zunächst erfolglos nochmals hin. Um 19:25 Uhr hieß es bereits, dass die Küche zu sei und es kein Essen mehr gibt. Sehr schade, und ich war zunächst auch äußerst verärgert. Als Rheinländer bin ich sowas nicht gewohnt und erwarte auch mehr Kundenorientierung. Zweiter Versuch am folgenden Mittag. Es waren auch ohne Reservierung noch Plätze auf der schönen Terrasse mit Seeblick frei. Die Speisekarte zeigte eine sehr ansprechende Auswahl zu moderaten Preisen. Ich hatte Linguine, meine Partnerin ein Fischgericht. Beides hat uns vorzüglich geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und entspannt. Der Platz auf der Terrasse ist wunderbar. Die Frage nach einem Dessert wurde abschlägig beschieden, da die Küche mittlerweile geschlossen war. Für die engen Küchenzeiten gibt es einen Stern Abzug. Es ist nur Barzahlung möglich.

Man gewinnt den Eindruck, dass man als Kunde hier nicht willkommen ist. Reservierungen zu normalen Zeiten (18 Uhr) werden regelmäßig ignoriert oder am Telefon schlichtweg abgestritten – angeblich sei kein Tisch frei, was offensichtlich nicht stimmt. Besonders ein Kellner namens Sven fällt durch massive Unfreundlichkeit und ein völlig respektloses Auftreten auf. Es scheint, als würden die Mitarbeiter untereinander absprechen, wen sie wann bedienen, ganz nach eigenem Gutdünken – zum Nachteil der Gäste. Für uns als Familie, die auf gewisse Rücksicht angewiesen ist, ist das besonders enttäuschend. Es wirkt, als sei der Chef, Herr Wagner, von diesem Chaos und dem katastrophalen Umgang mit Gästen völlig ahnungslos. So etwas habe ich in keinem anderen Restaurant erlebt – eine absolute Frechheit und ein Armutszeugnis für die gesamte Gastronomie.

Unfortunately, I didn't even visit the restaurant because they don't accept cards for payment. (The Google listing is incorrect, and the restaurant's website appears to be at the bottom.) Taking the baked potato example, the restaurant increased its price by 27% last year. And they don't accept cards? The complaints from these restaurateurs (who don't accept card payments) are hard for private end customers to bear (no passing on of costs, significantly lower wage increases).

After three years, we finally managed to visit the restaurant. A year ago, we called to ask if we could come by in two days. The waiter laughed at us and said we should make a reservation at least two weeks in advance. Okay, we did, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The waiter was not friendly. The pasta on the daily special was very innovative and very heavy on the stomach. Unfortunately, the value for money is not good, and above all, the food was not tasty. The burrata plate without bread cost €14. Instead of bread, we ordered potatoes as a side dish, which were also charged extra in the end. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant at all. A waste of money 💔

Beautiful location meets frozen food and convenience - - - Attracted by the rather beautiful location and the sophisticated menu, we ordered the goat cheese and horseradish soup and the surf & turf plate. The soup was okay. The rest of the food wasn't much to go wrong, as the tartare was thawed and watery, the wild salmon tartare tasted suspiciously like aquaculture (meat texture), and the beetroot salad came from a can. At least it was spiced up with two apple pieces. The plate was garnished with ready-made sauces and unsuitable sprouts. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed and had hoped to enjoy a taste of Bavarian cuisine. The service was friendly and quick, nothing to complain about. The ambiance seemed inconsistent.

Und nachdem dies schon das zweite Mal der Fall ist, muss ich es dem Koch hier noch einmal mitteilen. In einem viel gelobten Restaurant, darf das nicht passieren. Deshalb tat ich mich schwer, überhaupt einen Stern zu vergeben. Leider.

Auch wenn es mir schwerfällt, weil es wirklich gut schmeckt: Man wird hier als Gast super, super schlecht behandelt. Manuel - so heißt der bayrisch sprechende Kellner - ist zwar ein super netter Kellner - aber Flexibilität & Servicegedanke haben hier keinen Platz. Spontane Tischreservierungen sind absolut ausgeschlossen. Selbst wenn man einen freien Tisch sieht, darf man diesen nicht einnehmen. Selbst wenn man reservieren will, bekommt man in 80% der Fälle keinen Tisch. Man kann nur bar bezahlen. Die Küche ist immer nur von 11.00 bis 14.00 Uhr geöffnet - dann wieder ab 17.00 Uhr. Wenn man einen Tisch für 19.00 Uhr reservieren will, wird einem gesagt, dass das nicht geht, weil die Küche schon um 19.30 Uhr schließt. Es ist wirklich schade, aber man wird hier leider verdammt unverschämt und engstirnig behandelt. Und ich war - weil ich eigentlich immer wenigstens eine zweite Chance geben will - schon einige Male dort und wollte mich wieder einlassen. Leider wirklich jedes Mal eine totale Enttäuschung. ....

Although in the middle of the tourist zone Lakeside, but surprisingly authentic! The service was super warm and attentive - not at all what you would expect in such a location. The food stands out clearly from the classic beer garden monotony: creative, fresh and really tasty. If you're looking for good cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, you've come to the right place. Are you complaining to BR24 about digital payment methods? As a “small” company, you would have additional costs of €10,000 per year? The fees for card payments are less than 1% and some of the devices are available for free. So with 10,000€ transaction costs you would have to make 1,000,000 in sales, which would only be billed digitally, plus the cash sales... and then that is a "small" business? I know what bothers you restaurateurs so much when sales go through your account and not directly into your wallet...but everyone can think about it for themselves. And if the VAT reduction comes, which you certainly won't pass on, then you can use it to offset the digital costs 😆. But you'll probably quickly think of a new topic to cry about and how bad you restaurateurs are doing 🤦🤷.

Very nice establishment with a terrace and view of the lake. Waiters are in south German traditional clothing as is the ambiance of the place. Food was wel prepared and nicely presented. People where very friendly. Mind the fact that you need to pay in cash! (There is a bank very near)

The restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity of the Church of St. Sixtus and the town center, has a beautiful terrace with a view of the lake, has a traditionally cozy interior and is highly recommended in terms of cuisine. If I could give zero stars, I would! Unfortunately, 4 moms with strollers are not welcome here, even if there are free tables. Do you have space for 4 moms with strollers? No But there is a free table here - if it were free, I would have said so. When other guests offered us their table because they were just about to leave, the waiter said that we would have to wait at least an hour for our food. It couldn't be any clearer or more unfriendly! We left and I promise you that I will never come to your restaurant even without a child! Thank you.

Seit Jahren kehren wir auf der Heimreise vom gardasee im hofhaus ein. Heute sind wir einfach von München zum Mittagessen ins hofhaus gefahren und waren wie immer mehr als zufrieden. Essen geschmacklich top, schön angerichtet. Service locker, flott und professionell. Im wirtsgarten Ausblick auf den See, kann der Tag besser beginnen? Es ist schön, dass es noch Wirtshäuser gibt, in denen nicht nur das Preis-Leistungverhältnis stimmt, sondern Gastlichkeit noch gelebt wird.

Ich habe vor zwei Jahren schon einmal eine Bewertung abgegeben, kurz nach den Corona-Jahren. Nach wie vor ist das Hofhaus unser Stammlokal, wir sind noch nie enttäuscht worden-und das Personal gibt alles. Der Junior Chef, der seit vergangenem Jahr die Küche leitet, überrascht mit leckeren Gerichten außerhalb der Karte, aber auch alles auf der Karte ist sehr lecker und frisch. Dass man in einem Touristengebiet reservieren sollte oder es am Nachmittag mal eine Pause für Dich Küche gibt, sollte selbstverständlich sein. Leider haben wir schon des Öfteren mitbekommen, dass Gäste, die keinen Tisch oder um 15 Uhr kein warmes Essen bekommen, sehr unfreundlich reagieren und mit schlechten Bewertungen drohen. Sven, Manuel und Rico und alle anderen sind immer so herzlich und fleißig dazu. Mehr gibt es da wohl nicht zu sagen. Danke dass es Euch gibt! ❤️

Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the advertised good cuisine today because the kitchen was already closed at 1:30 p.m., at least for the beer garden, although according to the website it was actually supposed to be open until 2:30 p.m. And in this bright sunshine... it's a shame, we were looking forward to it :(((😢
