I'm absolutely appalled by this store! It was a complete disaster from the start: The customer service was unfriendly, at times condescending, and didn't seem the least bit interested in helping me. My delivery was much too late, and when the furniture finally arrived, parts were damaged or simply wrong. Complaints? None of them – you're kept waiting, put off, and never seem to get a clear answer. It's incredibly frustrating how unprofessional the work is here. I will definitely never buy anything from there again and strongly advise everyone to stay away from this store. Absolutely disappointing! Deluxe crappy store. Wasted time, money, and stress. Absolute recommendation: DO NOT BUY!

We were at Höffner today and actually wanted to buy a sofa. Our three children were really excited about the "Children's Paradise" – the atmosphere there is really well done, with a talking tree, waffles, and balloons. Basically, it's a really nice idea to make shopping more enjoyable for children. But we were very disappointed: only two children per household are allowed in. For us, that meant one would have had to stay out. Since we didn't want to exclude anyone, we ended up not dropping any children off – but that put all the children in a bad mood, tears included. For us parents, the mood was also ruined afterward. We didn't complete the sofa purchase – not because we didn't like it, but because the situation with three disappointed children was simply no longer a basis for a purchase decision. I still think the idea is great, but it's very sad that families with three or more children are so marginalized. With the Småland store, Ikea has been showing for years that things can be done differently. A furniture store that places great emphasis on family friendliness should urgently improve this.

It's a shame that the things advertised on the website aren't kept. For example, the "dog refueling station." There's no interest in keeping what's promised. Filling a bowl of water isn't an option. Mothers and dog owners always bring everything with them, which is better! Added to that, there are hardly any employees to be found, and when they do, you can clearly feel how annoying you are as a customer. The online shop doesn't deliver to us because our zip code doesn't exist... aha... Funny and sad at the same time.

Very clean, tidy furniture store. We bought a kitchen from Mr. Schewe today. Even if you're not looking for an expensive kitchen, his advice is honest and concrete, and he offers a variety of solutions. He takes suggestions on board, implements them, and also suggests alternative ideas. Disappointing – Customer-Friendliness Looks Different We purchased a high-quality and relatively expensive kitchen from Höffner because we wanted quality and reliable customer service. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in both. After only a short period of use, placing a hot pot on the countertop caused permanent discoloration and blistering. For us, this was a clear case for a complaint, as a modern countertop in this price range should easily withstand such everyday use. We documented the damage in detail and sent photos to customer service. Nevertheless, our claim was rejected on the grounds of "self-inflicted" – with no apparent willingness to resolve the situation in a customer-oriented manner. Particularly annoying: When purchasing, we specifically asked about the quality and heat resistance of the countertop and were led to believe we were purchasing a high-quality, long-lasting product. Our previous kitchen was significantly cheaper – but much more robust. It is incomprehensible to us that such damage could occur with a more expensive model after everyday use and that no goodwill or warranty is offered. Conclusion: We would have expected more from a provider like Höffner – not only in terms of product quality, but especially in the way complaints are handled. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Höffner in this regard and are very disappointed.

I bought a sofa from Höffner that broke after just one week of use. I reported the complaint over a month ago – and it took two follow-ups before I even received a response. The sofa was supposed to be picked up for repair today, during the announced timeframe between 12 and 6 p.m. I took half a day off work specifically and was home by 11:30 a.m. In fact, the technicians arrived at 10:30 a.m. – my video surveillance system clearly shows this. And then the outrageous thing happened: One of the technicians claimed to Höffner that I hadn't been there at 12 p.m. – even though he wasn't there! I called Höffner, but they just told me that nothing was possible today and that no new appointment could be made. This is not only extremely unprofessional, but simply a customer rip-off. I'm still sitting on a broken sofa and have wasted a day of vacation. Never again Höffner – neither for the quality nor for the so-called "customer service."

Unfortunately, a flop with Mr. XXXX from the kitchen department. On July 23rd, we spent about three hours with him, clarifying measurements, fixtures, etc., and received an approximate price confirmed by the on-site "boss" over the phone. It was a display model that exactly matched our measurements. On July 24th, we spent another five hours in-house, only to learn from Mr. XXX that our budget had been exceeded by €15,000!!! Very unprofessional, as Mr. XXX already knew that morning that the previous day's price couldn't be maintained. Very poor price transparency. One phone call would have been enough! Or they were just trying to fool us. The star goes to the restaurant!!! PS: We bought a kitchen from a competitor that same day. Well, they probably didn't want our money!

Disappointing - Lack of Customer Service On April 5, 2025, I ordered a bed from Höffner Furniture, including a mattress and slatted frame – configured by an on-site consultant! The bed was delivered on July 10, but unfortunately, it turned out that the mattresses and slatted frames had been planned incorrectly and didn't fit. On August 14, I called the store – up until then, a new order hadn't even been placed. I was promised a call back, but it never came. Only after I called again myself was I informed that a new purchase agreement had to be drawn up – with another 5-6 weeks' delivery time. A temporary solution with rental mattresses? Just maybe – and we'd have to take care of it ourselves. You can't promise anything. That's not customer service! Especially not when you're ordering high-quality furniture. Very disappointing.

Four years ago, I bought a bed and a wardrobe for my home, and I paid my debt before the due date. I thank Furniture Höffner for their trust. My purchases initially took six months because they arrived with missing items. This was a mess. No one seems to know what they're doing, and the items were wrong and missing. It was very frustrating. A year ago, my wardrobe started giving off a serious, PAINFUL odor in my bedroom. I haven't been able to sleep in my bedroom for over a year. It's unbelievable. !! The damage is terrible. I'm going through trauma. !! My illness has become serious. My clothes smell so bad. !! I need to get rid of this wardrobe as soon as possible. I just brushed it off because it was a new FURNITURE CLOSET. !! Unhealthy, dangerously large Chemie - Schadstoffen "POISON" containing poorly processed SPANNPLATTE...'* (..?) We learned that it was unhealthy after inspection and a company's research...!! I'm very uneasy because I spent a lot of money and it has seriously harmed my health.!! I request that Möbil Höffner call me urgently, come and pay for my damages, take away my wardrobe, and also pay for some of my damages. This is not a complaint, but a serious statement. Bad service! Several years ago, we bought two roller shutter cabinets from a furniture retailer that no longer exists, and now we only need two new roller shutters with attachments, as the cabinet is otherwise in good condition. According to the furniture manufacturer, who unfortunately cannot supply end customers directly, we can easily order these replacement parts from any furniture store that works with this manufacturer. That's how we came across Höffner Furniture, with whom we have been very satisfied so far. An employee in the relevant department took up the matter and sent an email inquiry regarding the delivery time and retail price of the replacement parts. Since we still haven't heard anything from Höffner after a week, I called them today and learned from customer service that Höffner cannot order these replacement parts (they replied: "It's not possible, there's nothing we can do"). We don't find that very customer-friendly, and we haven't even received a response. We suspect that Höffner would rather sell two new, complete roller shutter cabinets.

We've been struggling for several months to arrange an installation appointment, but Höffner has been unable to schedule an appointment with us as customers. The only service that has been performed without our consent is subscribing to the newsletter. Our conclusion about Höffner: This is a store we cannot recommend, and one where you should definitely not purchase long-lasting products, such as kitchens.

On May 14th, an electric stove was ordered from the Altwarmbüchen branch. According to a very friendly salesperson, delivery would be within 2 weeks. Ten days later, an employee called and asked if we had received a delivery date yet. He was surprised when we answered "No" and promised to look into it. A few days later, a woman called and gave us a delivery date of 4 weeks (ATTENTION!!!). After four weeks, the stove was finally delivered. But the men who delivered the stove on June 20th are not allowed/able to connect it, even though delivery and connection were ordered. The new stove was delivered to the apartment, and we have to wait for a new date for connection and removal of the old appliance. Hopefully, this will happen before the old stove gives up the ghost.

I was there yesterday to pick up my order at the counter where the goods issue was. There was no one there, so I told the employee in the white shirt and dark trousers that I would like to pick something up. He was standing there with a colleague, and they were chatting. All I got in response was a "very nice" reply, and I should go to the manned cash register. How am I supposed to know that it would be done there? It didn't say goods issue at the cash register where my colleague was sitting. I also work in retail, and I know that it's not as nice as it used to be. But it's the tone that counts.

When they spotted me, they charged me for a dresser, but they seemed somewhat reluctant. I didn't get the impression that the consultant noticed that I was genuinely interested in the €3,500 sideboard. The visit was good for browsing. Finally, something that really annoys me about furniture stores in general. Just make the prices clear and understandable! All these fake discounts are annoying.

After 8 weeks, it turns out they weren't talking about the delivery time until we get the sofa, but rather the delivery time in the warehouse. We have to wait another 4 weeks for the sofa to be delivered to us. As compensation, they're offering us a €50 gift card. It's a joke. Customer service was totally rude and simply ended the call and hung up. I'll wait and see if the sofa really arrives in 4 weeks or if there are more surprises waiting for us. We ordered a sofa in January. The saleswoman was extremely friendly, which I'd like to highlight as a positive! Unfortunately, the rest of the delivery time isn't as positive. The sofa was supposed to take 9 weeks to deliver. In the end, it took over 4 months! We made a lot of phone calls, but nothing was done. The problem actually wasn't with the manufacturer, but with Höffner's logistics company, which unfortunately could only deliver within Hanover four weeks later. Apparently, another company couldn't be hired. As a gesture of goodwill, we did receive a voucher, hence the 2 stars. Now we come to the biggest problem: the sofa was delivered, and we discovered that it was unfortunately the wrong model! So we immediately contacted the furniture store by email with all the necessary information, photos, etc. Unfortunately, there was no response. So we reminded them again. Still no response. From the delivery time issue, I already know that you can't reach customer service by phone because there's no direct line. So now we have a sofa that doesn't match the one we ordered. But we don't want to use it either, hoping Höffner will take it back at some point, if they ever read our emails. Overall, not recommended! Long wait time, and ultimately, the wrong sofa was delivered. The 2 stars are only for the nice saleswoman (she also made a lot of effort with the delivery time) and for the goodwill with the voucher.

While the purchase of our bed three years ago went well, we are now very disillusioned with the reordering of a mattress. We have been exchanging emails with customer service for months, but responses are very slow. Since we have no alternative, we finally had to place an order; that was two weeks ago. We are still waiting for an order confirmation, invoice, or delivery date. Update: We have been in the ordering process for three months now and have been waiting for the order confirmation for five weeks.

Rarely have we experienced something so extremely unfriendly! We called about the delivery date to find out what the general process is, i.e. when the delivery date will be agreed and how far in advance you will be informed about delivery etc. We ordered locally 8 weeks ago, so we were roughly expecting delivery now. But what was worse than the lack of professional information was the incredibly unfriendly treatment of customers. The lady with the Saxon dialect was unfriendly from the start of the phone call and my husband even tried to cover that up with friendliness. The rudeness went so far that the nice lady simply ended the phone call even though there were still questions unanswered. Where do we live?!

Never again Höffner! Agreed delivery times are not adhered to. I only received information when I asked and no insight was apparent. Original sound from the employee: “Tough luck, then that’s it!” Think carefully about buying from Höffner. I won't do it again.

Click & Collect – No thanks! Because I thought it would be quick and I would definitely get the item I wanted, I decided on Click & Collect today. The ordering process went great and I quickly went to Höffner during my lunch break to pick up the water bottle I ordered. Payment at the main information desk was okay. The employee there does everything slowly and precisely - nothing bothers him, but I know that from other visits. Maybe that's not a bad thing at all. After paying, he sent me to the cashier. There I should say that I would do Clic & Collect and the colleague should then make sure that I get my goods. At the checkout the nice gentleman told me that my order number would soon appear on the screen, then the gate would open and I would receive my goods. Good! So I'll wait... After about 5 minutes, the light behind the transparent roller door went out. After 9 minutes I asked the gentleman at the checkout if something else was happening or if they were perhaps making lunch, because I would have been quicker with a normal purchase. Visibly annoyed, the cashier told me that someone would be there. But then he got up, went to the roller shutter, opened it, went around the corner and... immediately appeared with my small 500ml bottle. I apologized for the inconvenience (I don't know why), but it wouldn't be so great if it took so long. Then he told me that they, I guess the employees, but I don't know, were against Click & Collect anyway. “Great!” Then I pulled away with my pull. My lunch break was overdue - that wasn't planned!

We ordered a fantastically beautiful upholstered bed online from Höffner. After a slightly longer delivery time, Höffner's own shipping company arrived. It was carried into the apartment. After the individual parts were freed from the extensive protective packaging, we did the assembly ourselves. I would order online there again, everything went very well.

höffner's inability is limitless, today a sofa bed was supposed to be delivered until 2 p.m. they were put off saying it would be delayed, when I called at 4 p.m. it turned out it wasn't coming at all because the entire delivery tour was canceled in the morning..... I was supposed to receive a call 15 minutes later regarding a solution so that my pregnant wife didn't have to sleep on the floor, since the old one had to be carried into the basement.... On the call So I'm still waiting in the branch and basically all I got was a put-off because it was Saturday, there's nothing you can do now blah blah blah... The strange thing is that the boss's put-off knew about my call but there was no mention of a solution except yes someone will answer on Monday... How long should I wait for the sofa 3 weeks? How about a timely clarification of the non-delivery? So you could have reacted in some way, but apparently nobody at Höffner cares. I was promised that you would get compensation..... I'm curious, probably the reimbursement of the delivery costs or some other rubbish like that... Seriously, I would work like I would be unemployed before breakfast! One star is still too many for that

I can hardly believe it! A sofa set should be delivered between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Called customer service at 2 p.m. "yes, it's still coming, there were problems with a customer". Called at 4:45 p.m. "Unfortunately I can't reach the shipping company, they're probably installing and can't answer it. You have to be patient." Called at 5:15 p.m. "The shipping company was canceled this morning, there is a new delivery date." What's this crap?! Can't you just be honest?! As if there was nothing better to do than wait 11/12 hours just because there was no honest, competent statement!!!! Never again Höffner!!! Update: My husband went to the store again in person, where he was rudely told that we were out of luck and would have to sleep on the floor, after he explained that we were using the sofa as a place to sleep. The lady then became aggressive and asked if we didn't have a bed. What's going on there ?! Aren't you ashamed?! I'm pregnant and now I'm allowed to sleep on the floor because we got the information so late and now we can't take any action! Then, from 2 p.m. onwards, they supposedly only knew that there would be no deliveries. Funny that I didn't receive this information. The sofa is still in Hamburg. Disgusting attitude, inhumane, cheeky. I can't think of anything else about it!

Very big compliments to Mr. Purfüst from the bed department! We felt in great hands. So that we could do the perfect test, toppers were swapped from bed to bed and pillows were put away. There was no attempt to sell us anything we didn't need. On the contrary, the cheaper bed was recommended to us so much and we are just super satisfied. The next time we buy a bed, we know who to talk to. Very nice and accommodating. Was able to convey his knowledge very well. He was able to adapt very well to his counterpart. Unfortunately, we cannot report positively about Höffner. We purchased chairs for the dining table with a solid metal frame about 4.5 years ago. The metal frame of a chair has now broken without warning. We're just glad there were no serious injuries. After we wrote to Höffner several times, customer service only told us that there was nothing they could do for us, it was outside the warranty. Legally perhaps correct, but we would have expected goodwill and a solution-oriented approach here. But even if you ask again, you just block the topic and avoid possible responsibility. In our opinion, a furniture store like Höffner should not sell such inferior material. Upon request, the procurement of spare parts was also ruled out, making it clear that we would no longer be reporting on the issue. Customer service is different.

Great buffet dinner for only 15 euros. The Asian food (sweet & sour chicken + vegetables) was delicious and had plenty of meat. And the vegetarian ravioli with cream sauce was excellent as well. Free water too. :) An impressive meal right within the hotel.
