The food was delivered quickly. I ordered Läberkäse with fried egg. Unfortunately the egg wasn't included when it was served. There was no staff there to ask and the waiter who delivered it left after putting the plate down. The waitress who took my order wasn't visible either. The egg was on the bill. Since I wanted to tip €2 and the egg cost €1.50, the amount was fine and I didn't want to open a barrel. I had reserved a table for 7 p.m. and it was ready at 5:30 p.m. so I could use the table there. The staff was friendly. Only there could be 1 or 2 more waitresses when there is little going on. There wasn't much going on, but there was a certain amount of noise. When it gets crowded it's definitely quite loud.

Terrible service, rude and unprofessional. 2 dishes were missing, no answer, feedback or apology. Without Tío, the receipt was more or less thrown to me.

I am utterly shocked by the behaviour of staff here. My husband has a gluten allergy and specifically asked for no gluten which the waitress reassured him that he would get, only to then find out that gluten was in the gravy. No apology from the staff other than dismissive and dirty looks towards my husband. He is now throwing up in the bathroom and can't keep anything down, not even water. When someone asks for gluten free, it's not because they are having a luxury diet. He came to the place for his brother's stag do and this has totally ruined his evening, nevermind his gut. Thank you waitress for having the audacity to look at him as if he was a piece of dirt on your shoe for asking you kindly to make sure that you what was served to him was gluten free. I am disgusted!!

great traditional schweinehaxen, even better than the “official” one they have in Munich. atmosphere was on point, price is fair for the food, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hearty meal. for the less weathered meat-veterans i’d insist upon ordering a half portion though, the full thing is really hefty.

Hofbräu feeling in the north. Lunch was good and inexpensive, the service was nice and good. Gladly again.

Great food, beer and amazing service

After the Haspa Marathon we came as a big group of 18 people and sadlzy we had a bad experience. First the waiter was really rude and then the boss did assigned us another waiter which was really nice. But then, the food came in very different times. Half of us literally finished our dishes and the other half still didn’t get them. We waited for 1 hour until everyone could eat. Also number 32 in the menu I would not recommend, the chicken comes a bit raw

Great food, quick service, pleasant atmosphere

It's a spot in Hamburg that is part of Munich's famous Hofbräuhaus chain! During the day, the atmosphere is quite calm, but at night it feels like a pirate bar in a movie! You can enjoy beer and traditional German cuisine, so it's a good place to stop by in between sightseeing, and it's also recommended for people who want to have a good time at night! Something different than fish, but very interesting, food good, brewery, service very attentive, even though it was really busy

Service was very unfriendly (were sent away). The waiter was male, skin color: white and hair color: brown. It's best to go 20 m further down to the Einstein restaurant. Service was very nice and very tasty drinks and delicious food. Great PRICES!

I didn't think it was okay that we were simply sent away by a waitress even though the space was free. It's best to visit the restaurant 20 meters further down, it's called Einstein (top service, top drinks and good food, plus you get a friendly welcome).

In search of German pork knuckle in Hamburg and this restaurant seems to be one of the top rated. However the pork turns out hard and dry. Not even crackling but simple too tough. Disappointed as the ambience was good with the huge dining space and need good food to go with the beer. Beer was good especially the Radler( with lemonade).

Sunday brunch on Easter was really good. Nothing was missing. Something for everyone. Coffee and orange juice could have been included in the price. However, that is “complaining” at a high level.

A place where we cannot understand the taste of the food. There is no one at the entrance showing you a seat, no one even notices you unless you call, we waited for minutes to order. It was the worst experience I had in Hamburg, the food was very tasteless👎

Food was ice cold… both burgers and fries. The waiter then wanted to take it back to warm it up. No thanks...that doesn't taste good at all. How are you going to warm up a burger with coleslaw and fries that have already gone cold...sorry. I had everything returned and had to pay the full price. Too bad Update: Thanks for your reply. Mistakes can happen anywhere, no question and I'm the last person who doesn't understand them... but how you deal with them is another matter. I think it's really bad to charge for the absolutely inedible food. The offer to reheat the fries and also reheat the burger is probably unnecessary if you want to eat reheated fries.

I love the Sunday Brunches. A wonderful atmosphere, family-friendly, very good food! I recommend it!

The normal food. But the treatment, being foreigners, left a lot to be desired, and when it came time to collect, the waiter came demanding tips that he did not deserve.

Very clean and organised, large, spacious and comfortable environment, good food and very friendly service.

Do not go here. The service is an abomination. We waited over twenty minutes and still could not place an order despite asking the waiters at least 5 times, and always being told that they would be with us in a moment. Several other tables in the same situation. In the end we left without placing an order after such enormous frustration.

Very tasty beer! The place is quite crowded, but it’s definitely one of the best spots around if you’re just looking for a good drink. The food, however, is pretty average—you can find cheaper and tastier options elsewhere. On the bright side, you might meet some “local friends” while you’re there. They’re definitely not shy!

The best restaurant of its kind - large windows - lots of light and spacious rooms - but the food is wonderful, wonderful - together with the teamwork - the crowning glory of all. The service - Simone G. - was very friendly and the service was quickly and efficiently - courteous. Ms. Maria Wucherpfennig - the manager at the Hofbräuhaus - attaches particular importance to customer satisfaction and perfection in detail, which above all defines the production of these culinary and tasty delicacies. Very good restaurant with a good atmosphere

On our first day in Hamburg we were looking for a restaurant for dinner - unfortunately under a bit of time pressure. Since it wasn't that easy to spontaneously find a suitable location on a Sunday, we thought to ourselves: You can't go wrong at the Hofbräuhaus. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The service was really good - the waiter was friendly, attentive, and we didn't have to wait long for our order. But unfortunately the food itself wasn't convincing. The quality was rather mediocre and it was only served lukewarm, which significantly diminished the enjoyment. Looking back, perhaps we should have done what the table next door did: just order a stein of beer, down it, pay and move on. Then the disappointment probably wouldn't have been so big.

Nice Hofbräuhaus. Fast and nice service. There's something for everyone on the menu. A visit is worth it. 🍖🍗🥨🍻🎂

Great decor, drinks not cheap, little service. Culinarily it was an edible insult.

Had roast with potato dumplings. Dumplings were ready-made products and tasted like nothing. The amount of roast was okay, but the taste was okay at best. Prices usual for Hamburg. Fine for drinking beer, I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Good beer and better service. We were not sure what to order, so the waiter suggested meat platters. So much food we ended giving a lot away to the next table who were just having beer. Deff is a place to go to.

Classic German beer hall. The beers are nice, soft to drink, not bloated. The menu is rich, the prices are normal. 0.5ĺt. Beer is 6€, you can easily drink 2.3 beers. You can fill your stomach for 10-20 €. Open buffet brunch is served on Sundays.

Mehr als ganz okay können auch wir leider nicht sagen. Es war voll und sehr laut, unterhalten ist da eher nicht möglich. Es lief Fußball. Die Bedienung war so semi-freundlich - vielleicht war das aber auch nur die nordische Frohnatur, das können wir nicht so ganz einordnen. Das Essen war so la-la. Mein Wurstsalat war okay, das dazu gereichte Landbrot einfach alt und hart. Ein Stückchen Butter wäre auch super gewesen. Die Brizza war viel zu salzig; das mag aber auch an der Kombi mit den Speckwürfeln gelegen haben. Also ein Hofbräuhaus in Hamburg - ich brauch´s nicht nochmal.

Vinimos aquí en 2 días de nuestra estancia de 3 días en Hamburgo, debido a su ubicación central, y simplicidad de elección, siendo mucho más fácil que tratar de complicarse en exceso mediante la búsqueda de otros restaurantes locales. La experiencia fue que usted esperaría de una sala de cerveza alemana: servicio ruidoso, divertido, eficiente pero algo caótico y comida sin pretensiones. Tuvimos el haxe & bávaro schnitzel de ternera con ensaladas de patata, porciones deliciosas y abundantes. Las pantallas grandes que muestran el fútbol eran una ventaja y los precios generales justos.

Great food, the whole team is super nice!

Solid brewery in the heart of the city. By far the biggest plus point is the sheer size of the Hofbräu - you can almost always get a seat. The ambience is always good, the beer and food are exactly what you expect.

Great location, fast service and good food The location has a charm that is typically Bavarian. Really great job of transporting the visual appearance of a pub to Hamburg. The service is very attentive and really quick. The food and drinks are very good and have a real Bavarian touch!

Very tasty food at very reasonable prices!

We spontaneously went there on Saturday evening. It was of course very full, but we still managed to get a seat. The service was great!!

Sehr voll, sehr laut, Service in Ordnung, Essen okay. Waren an einem Samstagabend da, da ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass es voll und dementsprechend laut ist. Die Dame am Eingang war unfreundlich, hat sich aber bemüht einen angenehmen Platz für uns zu finden. Die Käsespätzle waren geschmacklich okay, aber keine Meisterleistung. Das Schnitzel war mittelmäßig. Der Service am Platz war gut, hatte aber natürlich viel zu tun, so dass es manchmal etwas gedauert hat bis leere Gläser bemerkt wurden.

Unfortunately my soup was only lukewarm and the bread for snack wasn't that fresh either. But the price is okay for me!

Food was okay but not convincing. But I have to admit that you can't expect to get good cheese spaetzle in Hamburg like you would at home. Ambiance is good. Service is like almost everywhere in Northern Germany. You sit in front of the empty beer and the waiters don't notice. Only after pointing several times did a waiter come and I was able to order a fresh beer.

The food chicken thighs, fries BBC sauce, just terribly bad. Tasteless chicken thighs surrounded by sloppy skin, brrrr lukewarm, fries not crispy, half cold and all for € 16.90. NEVER AGAIN

Been a few times this week. Great place . Beer super. And local german food is all good. Can even just get a snack like pretzel with butter. Only loses a star on service as sometimes was difficult to get a new round of drinks quickly. .

The selection at brunch was good, unfortunately there are no knuckles at brunch as advertised. Brunch lasts until 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, dessert wasn't refilled at 1:30 p.m. even though it was already very empty.

If you fry the fried potatoes with the kale correctly (in slices) and serve the jubi in a stemmed glass, I'll give you 6 out of 5 stars! Don't eat hot - comes new! Service super friendly! You are the most hospitable around! Please keep it up! We love being here so much!

We were there for brunch. Unfortunately, the quality of the food on the buffet was rather mediocre and some of the actually warm dishes were unfortunately cold. The relatively high price didn't feel justified.

Food was ok. We were there with a small group and ate something and drank a few beers and schnapps. Brunner's bill was supposedly left with 70 euros that were not paid. We have had this scenario on each of the 4 visits to the Hofbräuhaus so far. My impression now is that this is a scam. We definitely won't go to this restaurant again.

Simply a beautiful place where everything fits.

I came here again. The food we ordered came quickly and was tasty. As a normal eater, I find the portion sizes a bit undersized for a Bavarian pub in relation to the price. And there are actually only 3 types of beer (Weizen, Light and Dark) on tap. No seasonal beer, a shame for such a big brewery...even if it's only in the north of Germany.

Great waiters, good food at surprisingly good prices. Only the live music wasn't a big hit on our evening.

The Hofbräu Wirtshaus is definitely worth a visit, especially for families! Particularly positive is the children's corner, which enabled us to eat in peace while our child was busy. Unfortunately, such family-friendly offers are far too rare to find. The food was fine overall, with solid quality and a good selection of typical Bavarian dishes. The absolute highlight for us, however, was the Kaiserschmarrn – simply heavenly! The visit is worth it for that alone. A big thank you to the team for the hospitality and the pleasant atmosphere. We'd love to come back!

Hofbräuhaus and Hamburg...that doesn't really fit. But after a visit to the Passage Kino, which was very nice and highly recommended, we ended up here. Huge store and loud...when we walked in I thought no way. But we found a quiet place in the alpine hut. And then we were lucky to have an older, experienced service person. They did their job first-class, quickly, not too intrusively and still with helpful tips at the start. Ok, you can forget the wine list here... it's just a Bavarian shop, but they do it very well here. The food was great, we had meatloaf, burgers, cordon bleu and a chicken dish...you can tell there's nothing for vegetarians here...everything was very tasty and very plentiful. The beer is of course perfectly tapped... should also be a core competency of this shop. Dessert was served once for everyone with 4 spoons, and the service was helpful here too. As a Hamburger, giving a Munich restaurant 5 stars... yes, that's difficult, but you didn't make any mistakes that day, so a small deduction because of the very loud atmosphere, but overall recommended.

Cool location for people who like Brauhaus style and also Brauhaus volume. The music system could use an overhaul. Food top. Service top.

We actually think it's really nice and delicious there, but unfortunately we were unlucky at Christmas as we were 10 people at a table that was only suitable for a maximum of 8 people to eat. That was a shame, especially since I had already made a reservation in August. Our waiter was very nice and apologized, he couldn't help it, he didn't understand why something like this was being planned. Unfortunately, it came across as people preferring mass... What a shame I also noticed the year before that there was no sausage salad anymore. This year the roast was also missing, which was always under the heat lamp, as well as some salmon and horseradish. Unfortunately, the cheese sparrows aren't that great either. But overall it tastes good there. Unfortunately the price has also been increased, something they didn't do before Christmas.

We recently celebrated a birthday here. The waiter, as well as the food, were a complete disgrace! “I’ll be there in 2 minutes” turned into 25 minutes after we hit him as we passed. Answer: “I’ll come right away.” My partner orders Alsterwasser. Waiter, very abrupt: “There is no Alster water. That's called Radler." Food arrives: Me: "Can I get some more mustard?" Waiter, completely annoyed: "I've just come from the kitchen..." Basically, this went on the entire evening. A bottomless impudence! The food was bad across the board. Convenience at it's worst! Loveless ready-made mush just spit on the plate... My partner was still struggling with nausea throughout the evening. Prices completely unreasonable. Only the beers taste good. Still left a 10% tip. A thank you? None. All in all, our visit was an absolute disaster.

Great place to have a beer with friends while you watch sports

Unfortunately, the food didn't taste that good, was expensive (plus 2.50 for extra sauce?) and the service was unpleasant/unfriendly. But the beer is delicious.

Were there 24/25 on New Year's Eve... The buffet was very well set up 👍 Something for everyone... The live band wasn't that great, so the mood wasn't really there either... It's a shame... We had everything Booked inclusive tickets and at 11 p.m. it was all inclusive, which we didn't know and were a little upset about 👎👎We weren't interested in paying for the drinks but sorry Hofbräuhaus, you should put the information on your website mention it and don't present the guests with a fait accompli....

De visita desde el Reino Unido, vinimos aquí el sábado por la noche para tomar algo con nuestros hijos adultos. El ambiente era bueno y el servicio era bueno. Así que decidimos reservar una mesa para un almuerzo tarde antes de nuestro viaje de regreso al aeropuerto el lunes siguiente. Esta fue una experiencia totalmente diferente. Nos gritó nuestra señora servidora porque cuando nuestra familia empezó a llegar, nos mudamos de mesa. Luego fuimos deliberadamente ignorados por ella y tuvimos que señalarla para que nos prestara atención. Ella nos miraba con los ojos en blanco y agitaba las manos en el aire. Finalmente pedimos nuestra comida. Después de terminar de comer, pedimos la cuenta y como siempre revisamos nuestra cuenta, la camarera comenzó a gritarnos de nuevo que la cuenta era correcta y estaba ocupada! Muy mal servicio al cliente. Nuestra factura era de 240 €. Como clientes, estamos en todo nuestro derecho de comprobar que se nos ha cobrado correctamente y si hubo o no un cargo por servicio en nuestra factura, porque si lo hubiera habido habríamos tenido que eliminarlo inmediatamente. Sin duda no recomendaremos este lugar a ninguno de nuestros amigos que visitan Hamburgo en el corto plazo.

The brunch at the Hofbräuhaus is almost unreservedly recommended! The selection and taste of almost all the dishes on offer is very good! Particularly noteworthy are the very tasty cheese spaetzle and the many sweet dishes. Unfortunately, if you're looking forward to a delicious coffee, I have to disappoint you! What is offered as coffee is not worth the name! Apparently only a small amount of coffee beans were shot through the hot water and the price of €9.90 for a pot of this indefinable liquid is an absolute disgrace.

I had dinner on the Christmas day. Great food and the atmosphere was great. The food is exceptional, especially the Schweinhaxe—perfectly cooked with a crispy crust—while the beer pairs beautifully with the meal, just like the Hofbräuhaus München.

Can be recommended without hesitation! Delicious food and good beer 🍺
