Dec24, it was a great experience. Just me & my wife we really enjoy the atmosphere the noise & we have a lot of fun with many other enjoying the whole experience too. This place is just next to our hotel H4 In Berlin .

Excellent humongous pork knuckle good for 3 people! Huge place and queue move quickly

You should know what you're getting into, it's just not a quiet restaurant in a cozy atmosphere. But if that's what you want, then you've come to the right place! The quality and quantity of the food are top notch, the knuckle was the best I have ever eaten outside of Bavaria. The Wiener Schnitzel was said to have been excellent and looked almost perfect. The food came really quickly, especially considering the size of the location. The prices are really moderate, especially considering that you are on Alex! The staff was very good, quick and professional, a bit cheeky but not rude. Fits! We probably don't need to talk about drinks at the Hofbräuhaus. Conclusion: If you're not afraid of lots of people, you should go in there. For people who really enjoy Alpine conviviality and atmosphere, it is a must!

What can I say, the ambience is right (loud brass music, lots of colorful guests, uncomfortable benches that are supposed to be shared with 4 guests but can only fit 3 guests of normal stature) would have been very cozy but the waiter gave me a chair and I had it I place - thanks again to N.....) Food: I had chicken with salad - it was good to eat, but my colleagues ordered the goose and it was almost impossible to eat, so zeeeh. The dessert made up for it all again, vanilla mousse with D-chocolate 🍫- was delicious 😋 The employees do a good job and with so many guests, something always falls by the wayside. I've been there 3 times and I think it's nice. Inside Bavarian on the doorstep is the never-sleeping city of Berlin. LG

Very close to the original HB atmosphere in Munich. A must see and dine, when being in Berlin and Munich not on your way in the near future. The roasted duck or Haxe a good choice. Well worth the money. Booking is recommended for groups and busy hours. Booking can be done one day before the visit. Unfortunately not on the same day.

I came with groups here and it was fantastic. I recommend it to everyone who comes to Berlin. Not only for the food but also for the staff who are simply great. Before There was a Mexican guy who was super nice people but it doesn't matter who you meet, since you are going to enjoy your experience trying typical beers or the Famous knuckle... it doesn't matter what you order, everything is delicious here

Nice enough but rather expensive. I get that it’s in a tourist area can’t help feeling large tourist groups aren’t well looked after, don’t blame them for that.

Excellent super fast service, food is very tasty and the hofbrau beer is very nice. For anyone from the UK this is close to being a spoons/harvester kind of deal....reliable!

Great ambience. You just shouldn't compare the schnitzel with the Munich schnitzel.

From my perspective it just over rated. Expensive and strange policy for customers. Even though we had a reservation, we waited too long at the door.

When the waiter is asked if he speaks English and responds: "they are in Germany, they must speak German", everything else is obfuscated. Regrettable posture

We needed to find somewhere to eat on our first day in Berlin and came here on recommendation. Although we had not booked we were quickly seated. Order initially taken quickly too, but then we were given the wrong beer. Waiter brought the correct beer, but on seeing that we’d both started drinking, took it away! After a long wait for food, he then appeared and asked what we’d ordered as it had apparently been forgotten! When the food finally arrived, the portion was huge. The pork crackling was amazing and the rest tasty. Lovely atmosphere helped by the groups around us being friendly. Service poor and no attempt to make up for incorrect order or delay. Waiter should also not touch customers when serving.

Hmm, the food was okay, the staff is always available and super nice. However, the background noise is extremely loud there. Carrying out a conversation is already a challenge.

Actually quite nice, food and drinks were delicious, the service was friendly and attentive. Conversation was almost impossible because of the unpleasantly loud music. So we left straight after dinner and enjoyed the rest of the evening in another location.

The right address to experience an Oktoberfest-like German night in Berlin. The service is lightning fast, there is live music, the beers are good.

Nice representation of a Bavarian restaurant in the center of Berlin at Alexander Platz. Typical German cuisine with frankfurters served in all imaginable ways. The over 500 people are accompanied by a typical local musician. We eat well and have fun. Great for group dinners

A preference for “Bavarian” is a prerequisite here, then it is quite nice here. Beer is good, food is good (the knuckle was really great), service is absolutely professional, the ambience is a rustic brewery. The mood rises and falls with the quantity of beer and the quality of the live band. Always happy when I'm in Berlin!

Very nice staff, the food was very bad. I don't want to go into detail but I've never had such bad food. Tables are far too small to be able to eat and drink comfortably. The first time there and fortunately also the last time.

The atmosphere is good, unfortunately I didn't like the food that much. The portion sizes are fair to the price. I tried the 1/2 duck from the season menu and the duck tasted like it was from the previous season. The dumplings and sauce were very good. The atmosphere entices you to sway with the live band. The staff is super nice and friendly.

Unfortunately, brunch is not recommended at all. There was a large and varied selection, but unfortunately it wasn't very tasty and not fresh.

I love the atmosphere there was years ago when I last visited, it was truely an authentic place. Now they declined to allow me to enter alone, which was super wierd. Only after I told I have a friend inside was I allowed to enter. No people dancing on the tables even on a friday (end of November) so nothing special really :)

Today we had dinner at the Hofbräuhaus. We hadn't made a reservation, but we were lucky and got a free table after about 10 minutes. The food is really very good and the portions are quite large. Actually only deducted 1 star because it was very loud, which is understandable for a Hofbräuhaus.

Excellent place to enjoy a good beer and experience the German atmosphere

The staff was great, very nice and funny. Apparently we arrived just perfect when they had already prepared something. Drinks and food were both there after less than 10 minutes. It is nicely decorated, but very large and crowded. They have also raised the prices quite sharply. When I was last there a year or two ago, the beer mug was just under €10, I think. Now we're at €12.50-13.50 and that's just too expensive. The food prices have remained fairly stable and, in contrast to other restaurants near tourist hotspots, the portions here are huge. We had the slaughter platter for two people and the three of us were well fed. And 2/3 of us were really GOOD eaters. So definitely a recommendation and the knuckle is absolutely great. Perfectly crispy, big recommendation and the beer tastes delicious too. As a rule, seasonal beer is recommended. 4/5 stars => Beer should be a little cheaper again.

We had to wait over an hour for our food while other guests who arrived after us were served first. The käsespätzle I ordered was unfortunately one of the worst I’ve had, lacking flavor and texture. The service was inattentive too. Avoid this place

Whenever I'm in Berlin, I make sure I come to the Hofbräu Berlin. I'm always happy when I can enjoy the good food and good beer here. It's nice that you can experience, enjoy and taste a piece of Bavaria in our capital. I am always satisfied and always enjoy coming here. It's all ok. Keep it up!

Hofbräuhaus as it should be! In terms of price you could still do something, after all it's mass instead of class and the Zollpackhof offers more atmosphere...

We were there for brunch. Right next to the front door a little cool and drafty. But otherwise there was a lot of choice at the buffet and the service was quick and courteous!

Excellent colorful German place chic restaurant

A beautiful and gigantic Bavarian inn right in the center of Berlin. There is a beautiful terrace which must be very lively in summer. A nice typical menu and very good beers. I had a pork schnitzel with delicious mushroom sauce accompanied by a potato salad and followed by an apple strudel. Everything is watered with half a squeeze. A note for disabled people: you must ask at the entrance for the key to the disabled toilets which are located on the ground floor so as not to have to go up a floor to access the able-bodied toilets.

I give it 5 stars for the great atmosphere they have every night thanks to the band. I've been to less lively weddings than this German bar. Good beer, and the food looks good.

Real German HB, beautiful location inside with a great atmosphere and super service even though it's full. Unfortunately the roasted chicken breast wasn't that tasty and we all sat on the toilet afterwards....

If the store is full, you don't have to wait long for your order because the staff is really ambitious and eager to meet your every wish. The food was amazing. Highly recommended are the snack platter and the goose leg with red cabbage and dumplings. I was so full that I couldn't even eat one of the delicious desserts. The only downside: when fully loaded, the noise level is borderline and the band actually managed to bridge 2 hours with 5 songs due to multiple repetitions. And who wants a Christmas party every few minutes? . 1 .. 2 .. 3 .. suffa .. to growl . . . . Don't Bavarians know any Christmas songs??

It's too big a place, everything is going crazy. They get complicated with the tables and the places they are going to seat you. Be careful ⚠️ with the return of your money 🫰 today they wanted to scam me for €10. Be careful

This was an amazing experience exactly what you would want out of a German Beerhaus. Our waiter Leo was especially the highlight being an amazing host who was charismatic, energetic and beyond friendly. I cannot commend him enough and I really hope this review gets back to him.

Very, very busy!!! Great atmosphere with typical bierkellar live music, dancing and singing. Service was slow but it was to be expected as there were various hen/stag dos, birthdays, etc. The food and drink were good quality. We only had to queue for 5 minutes dedpite being so busy. It was a great night. Recommend it if you want a lively, fun night. Great for parties or just 2 people.

You will find the Hofbräu near the TV Turm. Great atmosphere, price-quality is good. Delicious food, typical traditional menu. Service is smooth and attentive. They do their best to please you.

So the atmosphere is like being in a beer tent at the Oktoberfest, but the atmosphere is nowhere near as good. That was also because of the music. The band that played with us could have accompanied a butter trip. Before I get to the positive things, one more thing: They can't make Wiener Schnitzel and fried potatoes. For 30 euros you can ask for a decent Viennese schnitzel and when it came to the fried potatoes I was surprised that the chefs made so many mistakes. The friendly and competent waiter Tom ripped it all out again, otherwise it would only have been 3 stars. Otherwise, a clear recommendation if you want to really celebrate with a large group and don't attach much importance to etiquette.

Went there with friends and it was fun.

Terrible experience, absolutely to be avoided. We imagined that such a big and touristic place might not be the best choice but we still decided to give it a chance but it absolutely disappointed us. We tried their potato soup which was without infamy or praise and the frankfurters with potato salad which were not bad but the worst came with the main courses. We got the pork shank which was dry and tough but the worst was the chicken salad, it was dry and the salad looked old and soggy. Furthermore, charging 7 euros for a 0.75 bottle of water is unacceptable (looking on the site it should have been 3 euros or a little more) avoid this tourist trap!

Dopo aver letto le recensioni abbiamo voluto provare inoltre si trova a 4 min a piedi dal nostro hotel. Locale accogliente e personale cordiale. Nonostante fossimo senza prenotazione non abbiamo dovuto aspettare. Il menu è vario e offre tipica cucina bavarese. Musica live, allegria e buon cibo... cosa su può volere di più!?

Amazing place! It is so German, and it is a place to visit if you are in Berlin. Tasty sausages with beer, they serve fast, live music. The atmosphere was so great.

The food was decent, but I was surprised and disappointed to find that a tip was “forced” by the waiter, even though the service was average at best. This felt unnecessary given the overall experience.

Real German beer hall with long tables and real German food. Sit down and eat and drink. Looks disorganized from the outside, but there is a well-organized structure and fast and good service. Delicious and lots of food with German conviviality.

We were there today with a group of 3 tables. It couldn't be more unfriendly or unsympathetic than waiter Tom. I've never had a worse experience in my life! Ambience has as little to do with Oktoberfest and Bavaria as Mars. The chapel, in which no one was under 65 years old, shone with eternal pauses instead of with atmosphere. Disaster. Tourists, PLEASE DON'T GO HERE!!

Stopped for a Stein, ended up having Lunch. Staff very friendly, Food and beer were excellent. Definitely worth a visit.
