Nice restaurant, food was solid but a bit expensive.

Super great restaurant right on the harbor with a great view of the water and the harbor. The food is extremely tasty, good sauces, juicy patties and delicious buns. We recommend the All American and the Big Daddy Burger (2 patties) All in all, value for money is great! Definitely recommended if you want good burgers and a great location.

During a short stay in Münster for further training, I visited this restaurant in the evening. We ordered drinks and a burger, the food and drinks arrived quickly and were also very tasty. The service left something to be desired, the waiter seemed unmotivated and listless. Even though it was supposed to seem hip, we weren't his buddies or his brothers.

Unfortunately the burgers were a bit cold, otherwise a great atmosphere right on the harbor

Delicious and very friendly service

Every time an incomparable quality. Everything is prepared on site using ingredients from local farmers. Reservations recommended at usual times but is never crowded, with great views of the harbor.

It's better not to mention "JGA" when making the reservation - even in our late 30s, we are not allowed to hold our annual (and also very civilized) "revival meeting" in the Hochstapler this year. Dear imposter team: we have been your guests regularly in the past and have always behaved well. “Unwanted guests” should be turned away at the door and not in advance based on the reason stated when making the reservation. This exclusion is unnecessary and absolutely incomprehensible. Too bad!

We were happy to be able to get a seat on the lower terrace in the fully booked restaurant at very short notice - certainly the most spacious and comfortable outdoor area within the harbor gastronomy. The service made a professional impression, the kitchen delivered promptly and yet freshly. In addition to the vegan options, the non-alcoholic surprises on the menu are also pleasing. Everything from aperitifs to non-alcoholic IPAs is available.

Great burger restaurant in a great, stylish location right on the harbor in Münster. We have reserved a place outside, which is definitely recommended when the weather is good on nice summer evenings. There is a large selection of great burgers and sides. There are just as many vegetarian versions with plant-based patties. We had several starters and burgers such as: the Hochstapler or the Little Italian, as side dishes super crispy fries, sweet potato fries or chili cheese fries. For children there is even a small burger called a mini stacker. Great! The food came early and was hot and very tasty. The service was always very nice and courteous and always had a smile on their faces despite a few difficult guests at the neighboring table. The prices are completely reasonable for the dishes and their fresh, regional, high-quality ingredients! We'd love to come again!

The atmosphere at the harbor is really great, so we were really very optimistic. However, the waiter wasn't particularly helpful from the start. The real disappointment came with the meal. The burgers were bland, soaked in mustard and the meat wasn't particularly good. The fries had potential in terms of taste, but they were completely cold and the bland dips didn't really help. A truffle dip should taste like truffles and not just like mayo. The biggest shame, however, were the onion rings, which had WAY too much dough that wasn't even properly fried. That's why the rings were just soft and like chewing gum. The waiter wanted to move us around while we were eating because he wanted to close the “area”. All in all, the store definitely has potential, but the implementation is really a complete disappointment...

Very tasty burgers. Service is quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere and most importantly it's not that noisy inside, even when full of guests. We had a look into the kitchen, it looked very clean. Happy to go back at any time.

The food was delicious. But everything else is so-so

I work in the catering industry myself. Waiter wasn't that friendly. Food was tasty. In the end, because the waiter wasn't that great, we decided not to tip. The cost was €86. The waiter “accidentally entered” €96 on the EC device to give himself a tip. Luckily I noticed it and corrected it. Pay attention!

If you have something to celebrate and want a good burger, then go here. Only the prices are a bit high, especially for the drinks and sauces...

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be... Sauces are different and not necessarily better. Our burgers are no longer the same as before. But the worst thing is that the really delicious home fries have been switched to standard frozen ones. Something seems to have changed dramatically... some things were also forgotten, like extra bacon or brioche instead of whole grain bun..

Food taste was average. Burger 19€ + fries 6€ are already expensive. Aperol Spritz tastes like a disaster. But fries were really tasty. Service was also subpar. We waited 20 minutes until we could order despite repeated eye contact and hand signals. After the starter, I waited another 30 minutes until the burger came. The two waiters were absolutely overwhelmed and couldn't tell the table numbers, which is why things didn't go smoothly. But they were friendly, that's the main thing. Therefore 3 stars overall, otherwise I would be closer to 2.

MEGA!!! Such an incredibly good restaurant! The service is really top notch, great respect to the team. The food is incredibly tasty. You can change anything about the burger and it works without any problems! The outdoor terrace is also awesome. Always happy again, despite the 1:30 hour arrival.

Great location at the Kreativkai in Münster, especially the outdoor terrace is highly recommended. The burgers are as burgers should be. Be sure to book a table in advance!

The food was really good! There are different burgers to choose from and can of course be personalized according to your own wishes. The fries are homemade and really good! The service was also really good and friendly. I can recommend it.

Für ein alkoholfreies Benediktiner Weizen 6,50 € zu verlangen ist schon recht happig. Qualitativ war das Essen leider auch nicht gerade den Preis Wert. Mein Burger war lediglich lauwarm und die sautierten Pilze kalt. Die Creme Brulée hat nach Vanillepudding geschmeckt und war auch komplett kalt - sogar der flambierte Zucker. Für die Location (direkt am Hafen) sowie für den Preis habe ich doch mehr erwartet. Schade! Positiv anmerken möchte ich jedoch den Service. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend!

Service was very nice and you can sit outside and watch the harbor but that's about it... unfortunately I will never come back because the burger was firstly average for the price, THE MEAT RAW!!!, and way too much sauce on it blasted... really after that I had a nice round of stomach aches.. of course I didn't finish it either, but honestly how can you serve something like that??

It pains me to have to leave this review because I always liked impostors. "Let's go to Imposter, the crème brûlée there is great!" is a sentence that I will no longer say since yesterday. Let's start with the burgers 🍔. They were great as always. The maple fries were also on point 👌. We didn't have any cocktails, so no review. So let's get to the desserts 🍦. At the table there was crème brûlée and hot fudge. Hot fudge was delicious and beautifully presented. But “hot” is an exaggeration, more like “lukewarm fudge”. And “8 euros delicious” isn’t necessarily true either. The crème brûlée... man hey. It should have been THE conclusion to Hochstapler and ended up being a complete disappointment. A pudding-like consistency that is reminiscent of jellied scrambled eggs, was not warm and simply didn't taste good. This was the first time in my life that I didn't finish a dessert completely. The other people who were also allowed to try it agreed with me: It doesn't taste good. What happened there? Lastly, the service. The employee was nice, but there too rarely. We had to wait longer for service several times, which is why we decided to spend the rest of the evening elsewhere. A pity. Impostor was actually always good and worth recommending. From now on I don't have to go there just for the burgers: there is more than just one good alternative in Münster.

Very good restaurant at the harbor. The burger tasted excellent and the staff was very friendly, competent and attentive. Prices a little higher, but within reason. Unfortunately, parking is rather difficult in the car-hostile city of Münster. But it's a short walk from a parking garage. Train station about 8 minutes walk. Clear recommendation.

We spontaneously decided to have dinner at this restaurant and were not disappointed! The service was not only quick, but also consistently friendly, which is not a given these days. The food was really tasty and fully met our taste expectations. The price-performance ratio was also absolutely fine. All in all, a great place for an uncomplicated and pleasant dinner. We'll definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful evening at the Hochstapler! Not only was the food delicious - I was also so happy that there were gluten-free buns and that the vegetarian pea patty was gluten-free. Everything was so delicious! Just a personal, minimal comment about the buns - they could also be a little narrower and not quite as powerful. But the taste was great! The service was also very pleasant and extremely friendly and we never had to wait long! We felt completely at home and will come by more often from now on! :-)

A very good burger restaurant. Large portions and delicious burgers. The cheese is very regional and comes from the harbor cheese dairy on the other side of the harbor. Very friendly staff who were very attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and the view of the harbor was also very nice.

Good burgers and delicious sauces. Good selection of vegetarian burgers too. The meat is regional and grilled to medium rare. The buns are also delicious and don't fall through straight away. But the portion could be a little larger.

We were there on a Saturday and got a good table. The staff took a long time to arrive and we only had our drinks after 20 minutes. The food, however, came relatively quickly. As for the food itself, we didn't like it that much. The meat of the burger didn't taste fresh and was more reminiscent of frozen patties. Unfortunately, a day later we found out that 2 of 3 people couldn't tolerate the food at all. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the food there. The place is more suitable as a bar at the harbor.

Not recommended at all. The order went completely wrong. No cheese on the burger. The salad was not edible. Unfortunately the promised shot didn't come. Too expensive for far too little in return. I won't spend an evening there again.

The burgers were lukewarm/cold when served. When we asked, fresh burgers were brought to us. Taste wise 2.4/5. The truffle fries were too expensive at 5.50 euros because they didn't really taste like truffles. Taste/touch more like 2/5. Otherwise nice location with nice conditions.

Die Lage des Hochstapler ist einfach super. Gerade im Sommer kann man hier toll am Hafen sitzen. Das Restaurant ist drinnen sehr schick und edel gehalten. Gerade am Wochenende lohnt es sich zu reservieren, da der Laden meist sehr gefüllt ist. Es gibt eine schöne Auswahl an Burgern, mit und ohne Fleisch. Als Veganer muss ich sagen die Auswahl ist zwar minimal kleiner, aber absolut ausreichend. Die Burger sind schön angerichtet und schmecken gut. Ich muss nur sagen, es sind definitiv jetzt nicht die besten veganen Burger meines Lebens, jedoch sind sie schon recht teuer. Durch das etwas zwanghafte Restaurantambiente und das Klientel des Restaurants fühlt man sich fast etwas genötigt den Burger mit Messer und Gabel zu essen. Das soll natürlich kein Vorwurf sein, sondern spiegelt mein persönliches empfinden wieder. Alles in allem gibt es in Münster fast keine besseren Burger, deshalb ist der Laden eine absolute Empfehlung!

Unfortunately, during our visits the service was not commensurate with the price charged. The male waiters in particular seemed listless and we had to make ourselves known several times until we received a card (no, it wasn't full - only about 20% of the tables were occupied). The waiter brought us the menu in annoyance and threw it on our table with a roll of his eyes. The order taking and serving also went as if we weren't wanted. As I said, this was not an isolated incident but had already happened in a similar way on a previous visit. The food itself is okay, but overall, given the quality of service, the price of a burger (without a side dish) of around €15 seems absolutely unreasonable. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Das HOCHSTAPLER ist ein etwas lautes Lokal für ein junges Publikum, das von einem jungen Team betreut wird. An einem Samstag war es schon um 19 Uhr ausgebucht. Eine Reservierung ist sinnvoll . Unsere Salate waren frisch und reichlich, vielleicht hätte es etwas mehr Brot sein dürfen. Die Weine gibt es nur als 0,2 l Menge, so daß immer 7€ fällig werden. Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Man fühlt sich wohl.

It was our first time at Imposter because we had heard a lot about it. We were there on a Saturday evening, which means it was of course very full and loud, that should be clear. The burgers were quite good, but we weren't completely convinced; unfortunately there was hardly any sauce on both burgers. The service seemed to be understaffed, it was a bit of a struggle to get someone to come to us, we had to get up to pay so that they would respond to us. After ordering we had to wait about 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The location is great, especially when the weather is nice outside you can look out over the harbor. Overall it was nice for us.

Impostor to deliver via Wolt. I ordered delivery here via Wolt: maple fries and the New York burger. The fries were still super crispy despite being delivered! Respect for that! The combination of maple syrup and bacon on sweet potato fries is powerful! I would have liked a little more maple syrup! For the burger, the ingredients of sauce, coleslaw, pastrami and patty also harmonized very well! For me, the meat could have used a pinch more salt (and pepper if necessary) to make it more aggressive.

We had booked a table for Sunday evening at 6 p.m. When we arrived we were allowed to choose a seat (either in the front area, which is a little louder, or in the back area, at the bar, which was much quieter). The selection of burgers (meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan) is mega. Each burger can also be ordered with a pea protein patty. The food came super quickly and was extremely fresh and tasty. Big compliments to the kitchen. Price-performance ratio is bombastic! The service is also really good. We always love coming to you!

I can't say much about the ambience, it was very crowded and we sat outside. The food was very tasty. The burger was on point, the pattie was still slightly pink. The portion could have been a little more generous, but that's always a matter of perspective.

There are a lot of burgers on the menu and you can also stay vegetarian or vegan. The toppings are delicious and also available individually to the citizens. The service is friendly and unobtrusive. We had a place right next to the kitchen, which was unfortunately a little louder and smelly. All in all, the selection of drinks was also very tasty.

The burgers are excellent. My drink of choice is definitely the homemade lemonade. The sweet potato fries were hot and flavorful. We sat between other guests, but there was enough distance between the tables that we could still have a private conversation. The prices are definitely reasonable for the delicious food. The service was very nice and very courteously pointed out the special spiciness of the “Spicy Chicken”. I think it's great that several vegan burgers are offered and that you can alternatively have a vegetarian patty on top of the meat burgers. The ambience was pleasant, soft pop songs were playing and there were sofas.
