Hm, we had somewhat mixed feelings after our visit: Yes, the quality of the burgers is certainly not bad, but in the end they didn't convince us any more than elsewhere. And it was a bit heavy on our stomachs. The prices are simply completely exorbitant, including the drinks. Fries and sauces appear to be industrially pre-produced. The service was friendly and present, but not above average (for example, handing drinks to guests is not an option). Somehow Impostor seems good but overrated. There is room for improvement. We won't come again.

The service was friendly and accommodating. We each had different burgers, both of which were delicious. I can also recommend the truffle fries.

Were there for the first time. We reserved online to make sure we got a table. The waiters were all super nice and special requests were easily accommodated. Food was super tasty and more than enough. The only criticism is that I found it a bit more expensive if you get a burger with a side dish. Even though we don't live here, it's certainly not the last time we've been here.

The two of us went there spontaneously without a reservation and got a table straight away. Burger MS Carolina is recommended if you like pulled pork. Fries very tasty in combination with truffle mayo, plus a light beer from the tap. Service was friendly and quick. The ambience is also nice with a view of the harbor and leather armchairs and benches. The Hochstapler is one of the better burger shops in Münster and is recommended.

Food was okay, unfortunately the price was way too exorbitant for the vegetarian burgers and the consistency of the patties was pretty bad. The fries were really tasty.

Very elegant furnishings. Excellent service. The food was first class. We felt very comfortable. We were 5 people and came without prior reservation and didn't have to wait long. The staff were friendly. Our waitress (young lady, very attentive and friendly). Here we pay attention to hygiene, which is very important to us. The dessert at the end was very tasty. Thanks to the TEAM. Keep it up. A clear recommendation for us.

Very nice burger restaurant. We were very happy to have gotten a table at short notice. The burgers are well balanced and very powerful. What was special here were the fries with their own production method and spice mix. For me, this makes the restaurant stand out from the standard. Would definitely visit the restaurant again.

Whether you're a vegan or a meat lover, you'll definitely get your money's worth here. I've eaten there a few times and have always been very satisfied. Definitely one of my favorite burger restaurants. The ambience and service are also great. The costs are a bit higher, but still fair in my opinion.

The price-performance ratio is definitely not right here. We had several vegetarian/vegan burgers and were disappointed. Some of the combinations were very wild and didn't fit together at all. The pea patty was significantly smaller than the bun and the entire burger was quite small for the very hefty price of €16. The fries and sauces were tasty, but won't be remembered either. It's nice to sit on the terrace and the service was quick. Unfortunately that was the only thing that fit here. No recommendation, we wouldn't come back as there are much better burger shops in Münster.

The food was ok. The burger bun was quite dry and the burger patty was also quite firm (vegetarian burger). This made the whole thing difficult to eat. The fries weren't that great either, they looked a bit like they were leftovers because there were hardly any whole fries but mostly just small dry ends. My companion thought his burger was good (with meat).

Super great restaurant right on the harbor with a great view of the water and the harbor. The food is extremely tasty, good sauces, juicy patties and delicious buns. We recommend the All American and the Big Daddy Burger (2 patties) All in all, the price-performance ratio is great! Definitely recommended if you want good burgers and a great location.

During a short stay in Münster for further training, I visited this restaurant in the evening. We ordered drinks and a burger, the food and drinks arrived quickly and were also very tasty. The service left something to be desired, the waiter seemed unmotivated and listless. Even though it was supposed to seem hip, we weren't his buddies or his brothers.

Unfortunately the burgers were a bit cold, otherwise a great atmosphere right on the harbor

Every time an incomparable quality. Everything is prepared on site using ingredients from local farmers. Reservations recommended at usual times but is never crowded, with great views of the harbor.

It's better not to mention "JGA" when making the reservation - even in our late 30s, we are not allowed to hold our annual (and also very civilized) "revival meeting" in the Hochstapler this year. Dear imposter team: we have been your guests regularly in the past and have always behaved well. “Unwanted guests” should be turned away at the door and not in advance based on the reason stated when making the reservation. This exclusion is unnecessary and absolutely incomprehensible. Too bad!

We were happy to be able to get a seat on the lower terrace in the fully booked restaurant at very short notice - certainly the most spacious and comfortable outdoor area within the harbor gastronomy. The service made a professional impression, the kitchen delivered promptly and yet freshly. In addition to the vegan options, the non-alcoholic surprises on the menu are also pleasing. Everything from aperitifs to non-alcoholic IPAs is available.

Great burger restaurant in a great, stylish location right on the harbor in Münster. We have reserved a place outside, which is definitely recommended when the weather is good on nice summer evenings. There is a large selection of great burgers and sides. There are just as many vegetarian versions with plant-based patties. We had several starters and burgers such as: the Hochstapler or the Little Italian, as side dishes super crispy fries, sweet potato fries or chili cheese fries. For children there is even a small burger called a mini stacker. Great! The food came early and was hot and very tasty. The service was always very nice and courteous and always had a smile on their faces despite a few difficult guests at the neighboring table. The prices are completely reasonable for the dishes and their fresh, regional, high-quality ingredients! We'd love to come again!

The atmosphere at the harbor is really great, so we were really very optimistic. However, the waiter wasn't particularly helpful from the start. The real disappointment came with the meal. The burgers were bland, soaked in mustard and the meat wasn't particularly good. The fries had potential in terms of taste, but they were completely cold and the bland dips didn't really help. A truffle dip should taste like truffles and not just like mayo. The biggest shame, however, were the onion rings, which had WAY too much dough that wasn't even properly fried. That's why the rings were just soft and like chewing gum. The waiter wanted to move us around while we were eating because he wanted to close the “area”. All in all, the store definitely has potential, but the implementation is really a complete disappointment...

Very tasty burgers. Service is quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere and most importantly it's not that noisy inside, even when full of guests. We had a look into the kitchen, it looked very clean. Happy to go back at any time.

Unfortunately the fries and burger weren't very warm. Otherwise everything is okay.

I work in the catering industry myself. Waiter wasn't that friendly. Food was tasty. In the end, because the waiter wasn't that great, we decided not to tip. The cost was €86. The waiter “accidentally entered” €96 on the EC device to give himself a tip. Luckily I noticed it and corrected it. Pay attention!

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be... Sauces are different and not necessarily better. Our burgers are no longer the same as before. But the worst thing is that the really delicious home fries have been switched to standard frozen ones. Something seems to have changed dramatically... some things were also forgotten, like extra bacon or brioche instead of whole grain bun..

Food taste was average. Burger 19€ + fries 6€ are already expensive. Aperol Spritz tastes like a disaster. But fries were really tasty. Service was also subpar. We waited 20 minutes until we could order despite repeated eye contact and hand signals. After the starter, I waited another 30 minutes until the burger came. The two waiters were absolutely overwhelmed and couldn't tell the table numbers, which is why things didn't go smoothly. But they were friendly, that's the main thing. Therefore 3 stars overall, otherwise I would be closer to 2.

MEGA!!! Such an incredibly good restaurant! The service is really top notch, great respect to the team. The food is incredibly tasty. You can change anything about the burger and it works without any problems! The outdoor terrace is also awesome. Always happy again, despite the 1:30 hour arrival.

Great location at the Kreativkai in Münster, especially the outdoor terrace is highly recommended. The burgers are as burgers should be. Be sure to book a table in advance!

The food was really good! There are different burgers to choose from and can of course be personalized according to your own wishes. The fries are homemade and really good! The service was also really good and friendly. I can recommend it.

Für ein alkoholfreies Benediktiner Weizen 6,50 € zu verlangen ist schon recht happig. Qualitativ war das Essen leider auch nicht gerade den Preis Wert. Mein Burger war lediglich lauwarm und die sautierten Pilze kalt. Die Creme Brulée hat nach Vanillepudding geschmeckt und war auch komplett kalt - sogar der flambierte Zucker. Für die Location (direkt am Hafen) sowie für den Preis habe ich doch mehr erwartet. Schade! Positiv anmerken möchte ich jedoch den Service. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend!

Service was very nice and you can sit outside and watch the harbor but that's about it... unfortunately I will never come back because the burger was firstly average for the price, THE MEAT RAW!!!, and way too much sauce on it blasted... really after that I had a nice round of stomach aches.. of course I didn't finish it either, but honestly how can you serve something like that??

It pains me to have to leave this review because I always liked impostors. "Let's go to Imposter, the crème brûlée there is great!" is a sentence that I will no longer say since yesterday. Let's start with the burgers 🍔. They were great as always. The maple fries were also on point 👌. We didn't have any cocktails, so no review. So let's get to the desserts 🍦. At the table there was crème brûlée and hot fudge. Hot fudge was delicious and beautifully presented. But “hot” is an exaggeration, more like “lukewarm fudge”. And “8 euros delicious” isn’t necessarily true either. The crème brûlée... man hey. It should have been THE conclusion to Hochstapler and ended up being a complete disappointment. A pudding-like consistency that is reminiscent of jellied scrambled eggs, was not warm and simply didn't taste good. This was the first time in my life that I didn't finish a dessert completely. The other people who were also allowed to try it agreed with me: It doesn't taste good. What happened there? Lastly, the service. The employee was nice, but there too rarely. We had to wait longer for service several times, which is why we decided to spend the rest of the evening elsewhere. A pity. Impostor was actually always good and worth recommending. From now on I don't have to go there just for the burgers: there is more than just one good alternative in Münster.

Very good restaurant at the harbor. The burger tasted excellent and the staff was very friendly, competent and attentive. Prices a little higher, but within reason. Unfortunately, parking is rather difficult in the car-hostile city of Münster. But it's a short walk from a parking garage. Train station about 8 minutes walk. Clear recommendation.

We had such a wonderful evening at the Hochstapler! Not only was the food delicious - I was also so happy that there were gluten-free buns and that the vegetarian pea patty was gluten-free. Everything was so delicious! Just a personal, minimal comment about the buns - they could also be a little narrower and not quite as powerful. But the taste was great! The service was also very pleasant and extremely friendly and we never had to wait long! We felt completely at home and will come by more often from now on! :-)

A very good burger restaurant. Large portions and delicious burgers. The cheese is very regional and comes from the harbor cheese dairy on the other side of the harbor. Very friendly staff who were very attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and the view of the harbor was also very nice.

Good burgers and delicious sauces. Good selection of vegetarian burgers too. The meat is regional and grilled to medium rare. The buns are also delicious and don't fall through straight away. But the portion could be a little larger.
