Our 65th birthday celebration was well planned. The food was very good and the service person who was responsible for us was very attentive, courteous and friendly. It was an unforgettable day and therefore the Historic Fish House is always worth recommending. Bautz family

Recommended location! We had quick, friendly service. In fact, there are still waiters here who can smile! The price is a bit high, but fits the overall impression. In any case, we were satisfied that evening.

We drove past a while ago and thought we had to go there...🤗 So we made a reservation, which I would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to stop there...🤗👍 Ambience is very rustic inside. The restaurant has a tradition and history that is over 400 years old. You feel comfortable in it. Service was very pleasant and quick too. As far as the food is concerned, everything tasted very delicious. They have an extensive menu with something for every taste. Our recommendation is gladly again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.👍☺️

Ambience good, food and service mediocre at best

We were there spontaneously while passing through and were totally thrilled. Very cozy, lots of things to look at, fond of children, service very friendly and food incredibly delicious.

We drove past here too often and found a very good price/performance ratio. The food was cooked with a lot of love without any pompous chi chi. Thank you for the good hospitality.

The cheese and leek soup with curry is a true taste experience that is characterized by a balanced mix of creamy texture and finely balanced spice. Already with the first spoonful, the pleasant creaminess is revealed, which is achieved through the harmonious use of cheese and cream. The curry flavor adds an exotic, slightly spicy note to the soup that surprises and delights the palate without being overpowering. The topping of crispy onions and fresh chive rolls adds an additional texture and aromatic contrast that rounds off the dish perfectly. The golden yellow color of the soup visually conveys warmth and enjoyment. Overall, an extremely delicate creation that is an excellent choice as both a starter and a main course. For lovers of hearty yet sophisticated soups, this cheese and leek soup with curry is an absolute must.

Food was very tasty. But prices are quite high. The parking lot was full at Christmas time, so I had to park 150 meters above in a forest parking lot. There is a path along the road there, but unfortunately it is completely unlit.

Were there as part of the Christmas party. The food was excellent, but unfortunately the ambience was not so good. There was such a draft through the two doors in the hut every time the service staff went in and out that you really didn't feel warm inside, even despite the heaters. Tables and benches were also not particularly comfortable to sit on or eat.

A very friendly house, a restaurant where the guest feels comfortable. The cuisine and service offer real quality and nothing stands in the way of a repeat visit. The Christmas decorations make the Erzgebirge Christmas heart beat faster, really beautiful exhibits that can be admired here. That's why it's completely unnecessary to create an overly colorful and American Christmas flair for guests, especially outdoors.

The connection between the restaurant and the hotel in the upper area is ideal for celebrations with an overnight stay.

I had to stay in Dresden unexpectedly and quickly looked for accommodation. I was warmly welcomed here. The food is very good, tasty and the employees are incredibly kind and sensitive. I would love to be here in the summer because everything around the hotel is designed with a lot of love and humor. Highly recommended!

Great friendly staff, fast service, food sufficient and tasty.

We celebrated our wedding in the historic fish house. Everything was top notch, the food, the ambience, great service and beautiful rooms. The buffet was really excellent and the tarts and cakes were also very tasty. We felt very well looked after and our day was wonderful there. The managers and service were at their best during the preliminary discussion. We can only recommend the location and say thank you very much.

Absolutely recommended in every direction

After four years we were back in the historic Fischhaus Dresden and unfortunately it wasn't as we expected. We had schnitzel with fried potatoes and a very small cucumber salad for €18.20. The order was placed and it took less than 5 minutes before it was served. That's exactly how the food was - NOT freshly prepared, as I expect with short-fried dishes. Neither schnitzel nor fried potatoes were crispy and hot. Both were sticky and the fried potatoes were full of fat. Even the waitress was very surprised that the food was on the table immediately after ordering. And said that the people in the kitchen have nothing to do. ...... the restaurant was full and a lot of food was served..... I also think it's really bad that you feel like you're sitting on the assembly line. The service is friendly, but it takes away from the comfort of the guest. I think there were 5 or 6 different servers at our table, from ordering, serving drinks, main course, serving dessert and clearing away. Unfortunately, we had the feeling that everything had to happen quickly, quickly, quickly... and that's exactly what we didn't want. Too bad!

We were happy, but as some have already written, the fried potatoes were very greasy, not crispy, the cucumber salad was better, the fish was tasty. The staff was a bit listless and we had the impression that the portions were getting smaller and smaller. It's a shame, but there won't be a third time.

Well-visited inn on the edge of a large forest area near Dresden. Home-style cuisine with seasonal dishes, friendly staff and prices are reasonable. Everything is a bit old, dishes, glasses and cutlery all look a bit older. Nice starting point for hikes in the heathland

It's worrying when you go to the "Fischaus" after the barbecue buffet with diarrhea and a bit of luck and arrive home with clean underpants. The buffet was carelessly arranged in warming containers and the cutlery was presented in paper envelopes and napkins in the large table container. The meat kebab with liver probably turns out to be the trigger for the stomach/intestinal problems. The accompanying side dishes gave the impression that they had been waiting in the refrigerator for 3 days to be used and the lentils for dessert turned out to be a large rubber patch for an inflatable boat. Luckily we refused this dessert. Unfortunately, a good espresso couldn't save the overall impression.

Traditional, rustic atmosphere. Wide range of dishes (something for everyone). Price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. And you don't have to wait long for your order.

We were absolutely thrilled that evening. The inn, located on the edge of the forest, left nothing to be desired and no matter how hard we searched, we simply had nothing to criticize and were particularly pleasantly surprised by the modern country house kitchen!

Food is created and cooked by yourself and tastes like it was made by mom. Wines are predominantly German, e.g. Proschwitz. When it comes to red wine, there are also French people. Highly recommended 🌸

The food was great and the ambience too. The service was very nice.

We really expected more. At first glance, the ambience and marketing promise an enjoyable stay. We visited the fish house on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. At that time it was still busy and a few tables were reserved. We later found space for two people, not as comfortable as the reserved tables. At first the map looked interesting and promising. After a long wait we were able to order. Cold (really very) small cucumber soup for a whopping €7.90, a smoked trout and linguine with artichokes. An illustration in the menu suggested delicious 3 whole piece artichokes. Artichokes diced were served, far from the "suggested amount" (see photo). The smoked trout was delicious, the salad served reminded us of salad variations (and dressing) from the supermarket. Our food was only served to us with a spoon; we organized our own knives, forks and servings from the neighboring tables. We found the price-performance ratio to be inadequate! The margin on drinks is certainly more attractive for the host than for the guest. A 0.2l Cola for €3.40 and a water with the pleasant name “Mönchswasser” costs an impressive €4.80. Could it be that the “monk’s water” was sparkling water from the tap after all? PS: when we left the restaurant, the reserved tables were still reserved.

Very good restaurant with attentive, friendly service and excellent food

We ate there today! The service was great, as was the location! We had Vitello Tonato as a starter! With fried caper apples and small baked tomatoes! Simply brilliant! So for the main course we had the pork schnitzel! I've been cooking for a long time and know that a schnitzel has to be pounded! But you should be able to find the meat between the layers of breading! It's a shame, that was disappointing after the excellent starter! We'll still be back!

You should not forget this restaurant when you are in Dresden... of course the surroundings... but not to forget the accommodation with a nice terrace and delicious food. It was nice

Beautiful secluded garden for a cozy dinner

Finally back in the fish house. It was great, great staff, great food and a great location. Our meal, the great starter, Vitello Tonnado, apple cider aspic with delicious fried potatoes and the classic fried trout was very good. All in all, definitely visit and enjoy.

The location is very nice but the food was terrible!!! Schnitzel soggy, fried, not fried. Fried potatoes cold and bland. Cucumber salad is a vinegar bath😤.

I liked everything: a good selection of very fresh fish, fast service, great atmosphere. The courtyard, which has enough tables, is beautifully decorated, surrounded by various flowers, fresh air.

If the service knew what they were losing out on in terms of income because of their sheer reluctance... Such a magically beautiful spot, totally hidden, barely noticeable from the street... Super delicious food... But the service is a disaster!!! If you look at your watch in annoyance as soon as you enter... You sit and sit and sit and once the food is on the table, unfortunately no further requests for drinks were asked. The table was covered during operation. Are you crazy??? Total expulsion!!! What a shame for this really great location!!!

A really good barbecue. With about 50 people.

On my solo bike tours, my way home always passes here. Gone is the wrong word. A little refreshment is always good. The conditions are friendly and polite. The food is very good. And for a short stop, the staff always finds a place for a single guest, even when the house is full.

Wir waren das erste mal hier, aber einmal und nie wieder! Unfreundlicher Empfang,beim Service Personal hat man das Gefühl,man ist nicht willkommen . Das Essen wurde wortlos hingesetzt. Beim Schnitzel hatten wir im Nachhinein bemängelt, das es sehr trocken und dünn war,wo Panade und Fleisch gleich dick waren. Es wurde nur zur Kenntnis genommen. Wir hätten uns eigentlich noch länger aufgehalten,aber unter den Umständen hatten wir uns für das gehen entschieden.

We were there in large company. In prior agreement, we expected a reserved table with a small, decorative design on the occasion of an 80th birthday. Unfortunately in vain. Somehow our table looked like everyone else's. In my opinion service overwhelmed or overworked. Beer garden really big and beautifully designed. Toilets clean, bright and large. Food is expensive (as is unfortunately very often the case these days), the selection is poor in my opinion, the taste is edible, but for me the price is not justified. It was an absolute no go for me that we were served alcoholic shandy instead of non-alcoholic shandy. We are all human and mistakes happen, unfortunately for me personally this is a complete breach of trust. The incorrect drinks were not charged for, but that's a difficult consolation if you don't want alcohol for health reasons. It's a shame because the place is really visually beautiful.

The fish house is really cozy and very welcoming for every guest. The prices are pretty steep or, to put it more bluntly, really expensive. The staff is quickly overwhelmed when there is a high volume of guests, or at least that was the impression. We received a somewhat weak reception as only one type of fish according to the menu (trout) as a “fish house”. Otherwise, the restaurant is recommended for a stop.

We love it in the fish house. We have enjoyed coming here again and again since our wedding reception. This time too it was a wonderful visit. The food was a dream and the waiters are always very friendly and attentive. Children are also very welcome here. We'll be back soon. And at least once a year on our wedding anniversary 😊

Am 23.06.2024 freuten wir uns auf ein Mittagessen im Fischhaus. Plätze hatten wir vorbestellt. Die Kellnerin wies uns einen Tisch zu. Eine andere Kellnerin meinte später, dass wir am falschen Tisch sitzen. Als wir fragten, welches denn unser Tisch sei, bekamen wir zur Antwort: "Ach, bleiben sie einfach sitzen". Unsere bestellten Getränke kamen dann relativ schnell. Unser Essen ließ aber lange auf sich warten. Als wir nach 1,5 Stunden noch keine Vorspeisen hatten, erinnerte ich die Kellnerin an unser Essen. Als es dann endlich kam, war es leider kalt. Ich hatte inzwischen ein weiteres Getränk bestellt, das auch schnell kam. Auf die Hauptspeise warteten wir dann wieder. Leider kam das Essen dann auch kalt an den Tisch. Mein Mann hatte sich ein Bier bestellt, welches bis zum Bezahlen unserer Rechnung nicht kam. Wir sprachen das beim Bezahlen an, aber leider kam nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung.

We had a very nice evening with delicious food and beautiful summer weather in the restaurant at an outdoor table for 4. A really nice place with very nice and competent service. Hopefully again soon and don't forget to make a reservation!

Service was subpar, waiting time for 1 beer was 20 minutes. A second one was not served despite ordering! The starter (soup) was requested after an hour and cold! Highly Recommended. We rented the barbecue area for a private party and had an unforgettable celebration. The atmosphere is rustic, but still chic and just cozy. The service was very good and the food was delicious. The staff was also a great support to me in advance with the planning and preparation. Thank you for everything.

The service outside was slightly cold, you could almost say snippy, if I treated patients like that the practice would long ago be closed, unprofessional, but the atmosphere is fantastic.

Hassle-free booking with quick response. Attractive outdoor area and good price-performance ratio. However, I don't understand why the claim does not comply with the mineral and drinking water regulations and why an open glass of (tap) water is charged for over 2 euros.

Stopped here spontaneously and were super satisfied. We got a seat straight away and the service was really nice. The menu is great too. Everyone will find something here. There is also a nice children's menu. All the plates looked really great and the portions are generous too. It tasted great too. We'll definitely come back and try out the other delicious things too. You can sit nicely in the beer garden and there is a playground for the Konders.

A beautiful restaurant or rather inn with a beer garden in the heart of the Dresden Heath. Easily accessible on foot, by bike or by car. The food was very tasty. The menu is diverse, from modern dishes to traditional classics that are interpreted and cooked in a modern way. Medium priced, but convincing in terms of quality and regionality. After the change of operator a few years ago, the historic fish house was beautifully restored. There are also numerous opportunities to celebrate there. The outside area is also beautiful. The service was very quick and nice. We've been there twice and will definitely come back a third time.
