We had dinner in the Hirschkeller with 8 people and a small child. Unfortunately, I have to say that the table we sat at is sufficient for 8 adults if there are no children, but since we had registered a child, we would have needed 9 seats. So we had to slide together on the corner bench and stay and eat, crammed in with 3 adults. The orderly children's chair was available. Unfortunately, I have to say that this is not suitable for every small child. Our grandson didn't fit in because he was probably too big for his age. Here I would like a children's chair that can be opened at the front and closed again. Now we had to take our grandchild on our laps. The ambience in the restaurant is worth seeing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Let's get to food. Among other things, we had 2 x pepper knuckles with dumplings and sauce. This is not a whole knuckle per person, but rather a piece of a knuckle. The meat was very dry on the outside, as if it had been reheated several times, but the inside was okay, unfortunately everything on this plate was lukewarm, including the roulade from the daily menu and the others all eat it lukewarm! I keep a low profile about the taste of the food because I can't rate lukewarm food. Of course I was very disappointed about this as it wasn't the first time that I was served lukewarm food there when I was eating with the family. In the future I will think carefully about whether I go to eat there again.

The location is beautifully decorated and offers plenty of space. Reservation in advance, especially as a large group, is highly recommended. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive, which is no longer a given these days. The food is sometimes dry, but there are also dishes that taste great. I've been to the Hirschkeller a few times, but I wasn't always impressed by the food. Price-performance ratio is okay, in my opinion not quite optimal.

We went to the Hirschkeller for dinner on Christmas Day and although it was way too crowded as expected, everything was perfect. Despite the many people, the service staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was served surprisingly quickly, there's nothing like good organization. And most importantly, the food was very tasty 😋 as were the wines and house sodas. Thanks Maurice and thanks to your great team! The Hirschkeller is truly an asset to Schweinfurt and the surrounding area.

We had dinner in the Hirschkeller yesterday, but unfortunately it was disappointing overall. We had 2x onion roast steak and 2x hunter's cream roast. The food came unusually quickly, which suggests that it was pre-cooked - unfortunately it tasted that way. The steak was extremely tough, so much so that your jaw hurt from chewing it. I've really never experienced anything like this before. The meat from the hunter's cream roast that I tried wasn't fresh at all. Overall, unfortunately not a good experience.

We were in the Hirschkeller on Christmas Day. Drink orders were taken around 5:10 p.m. Since we still needed a moment to decide on what to eat, the waitress said no problem, I'll come by again soon. About 5 minutes later the drinks were brought to us from a different location. So far so good, but unfortunately the waitress didn't come to our table again for the food. It's actually a shame because we were really looking forward to having a nice meal. After a 3/4 hour wait with total ignorance, we decided to pay and go home without eating anything. Whatever the reason, the waitress no longer paid attention to us, what should we rate when there is nothing to rate. There is a bad day everywhere, unfortunately that was one yesterday. It's actually a shame because this restaurant is beautifully decorated and was highly recommended to us.

We visit the Hirschkeller regularly and continue to be absolutely thrilled. The building looks simply great from the outside. When the temperatures are warm you can also use the beautiful beer garden. The common thread is visible at all times. Starting with a beautiful, natural smile as a greeting, then quickly consuming the drink........just great. Great atmosphere, hut feeling and very good affordable food. Even the toilets are special. 😀

More than just disappointing. Our food didn't arrive for a full 75 minutes, even though we were there on time at the reserved time. Somewhere else you get at least some bread or a little gift from the kitchen, but here you get 75 minutes: nothing. Not even a hint as to why it's still taking, no apology. About the food: the dumplings from the South Tyrolean dumpling trio were completely dry (and therefore didn't seem like they were freshly made). When asked why there was hardly any sauce on the plate, the answer was that you could order additional sauce (i.e. pay extra). Seriously, after waiting 75 minutes you get a reaction like that? The schnitzel in the Hirschkeller: dry and obviously not beaten? (very thick meat when cut), the breading not golden brown, but dark brown, not blistered, the edge completely dried out in one place (deep fryer?). In short: I haven't been served such a bad schnitzel in a long time. The prices - considering this - are completely excessive. A glass of 0.4 liter Cola € 4.50. So the liter is €11.25. It is known that innkeepers earn the most from the drinks. But these surcharges are very considerable. Overall, the prices are on average too high for what is offered. There will therefore be no second visit. You can eat much better elsewhere. And you don't have to starve for 75 minutes.

Recently, at a Christmas party buffet, it was very disgusting for me when I pulled a 12 cm long hair of apple puree out of my mouth while eating the dessert "Keizerschmarrn", it still grosses me out! The service lady dismissed it with a final apology, well ok. Small appetite - starter very good. The soup had cooled down! Roasts and side dishes don't taste particularly good At least we had a good conversation at the table!

Been there again for a long time. Had the Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle for €18.90 and a side salad that was really small for €4.90. I'll try to keep it really short now, since it was money wasted. Schnitzel max. lukewarm, mushrooms mushy and sauce totally thickened. Everything had probably been on the stove for hours and so the sauce was very salty. Schnitzel was ok except for the temperature, but nothing special. Salad was standard but really small. Points are deducted for the fact that it costs extra. I think it's an absolute disgrace. The new scam of “pulling money out of your pocket”. The waitresses were really very nice. I can only praise it. The ambience is just wood, wood, wood. Oh yes, did I say wood?? It's just not mine, but it's probably supposed to simulate a mountain hut in Switzerland with the associated prices. Now let's be honest. A Jägerschnitzel with salad of this quality for 24 euros is really a joke. Sorry. Hirschkeller is out for me in the future.

We ate in the Hirschkeller for the first time today and were thoroughly impressed. The dishes are very tasty and of high quality. The service also leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. At this point, we would like to thank you again for being able to allocate a time slot to us despite a short-term reservation. We will definitely be back and have found a new favorite restaurant in Schweinfurt.

For me the best restaurant in Schweinfurt! The food is delicious, the service is first class and the ambience makes you feel like you are on vacation in a hut in South Tyrol. You are also welcome with a dog. Top value for money. Great beer garden in summer. I really enjoy eating there!

Quite good food and very friendly service. When it comes to the ambience, the operator couldn't decide whether it was Upper Bavaria, Tyrol or Franconia. Seems a bit artificial, but very detailed.

There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed the main course. For dessert, two of us ordered Kaiserschmarrn. Despite the instructions without raisins, we got them with raisins. After complaining to the service, we received zero goodwill and said we were unlucky. The consistency and taste weren't particularly good either, rather noodle-like. We expected at least an apology for a 200 euro bill that never came!

We were recommended the HirschKeller by a local friend and were not disappointed! We really enjoyed the food! The service was exemplary and very friendly! We even liked it so much that we made a reservation for the next evening straight after dinner! Our recommendation: the homemade lemonade!!! We would have also liked to try dessert, but we were already more than full with the main course! We will definitely come back on our next stay in Schweinfurt!

The two of us were in the Hirschkeller for the first time. When we arrived there, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and shown to the square. The ambience is reminiscent of an old Austrian farm and is very inviting. Only the volume is more reminiscent of a bar than a local. The food was very tasty and plentiful and the price was also right. Unfortunately, the beer wasn't anything special, but the house schnapps and the homemade lemonade were convincing. The service was very attentive and friendly and on point. We will definitely come back.

The place is a matter of taste... Food is good, a bit too expensive in my opinion. What's annoying is the constant questioning whether you want to drink something, once is enough if you say no.

We were in the Hirschkeller for the second time, this time with an online reservation, in the middle of Sunday lunchtime. The restaurant was almost full. Even though they had a lot to do, none of the numerous service staff lacked a friendly, welcoming smile. In this way, the typical “guest's place” and excellent atmosphere that the rarely beautiful, time-honored and cozy restaurant exudes is pleasantly enhanced. As soon as we were seated, our wishes were accepted, which were fulfilled very quickly despite the busy activity. If you are amazed at the extremely wide range of food and drinks on offer, you will enjoy them all the more because they taste excellent, are prepared based on the respective dish and are also served very lovingly. Thank you dear Hirschkeller team, keep it up, we are already looking forward to our next visit. P.S.: The reservation went smoothly. However, one would be somewhat relieved if the reservation were confirmed with a short email. This way, especially if you have to get there from outside, you don't have to worry that the reservation might not arrive or end up in spam.

Today, September 14th, 2024, there were 5 of us in the HirschKeller (with a 6-year-old child). It was our first time. We were all thrilled with the supper, delicious food, super delicious homemade lemonade. Everything was just 110%. Even the little one was hardly bored because there were some toys available. Great team!!! We will 100% come back. PS: the ambience is just amazing 🤩!!!

We were in the Hirsch Keller for the first time with a total of 9 people from four generations. Everyone was pleasantly surprised at how such a beautiful “Hut Fair” could be conjured up. Having registered properly in advance, we were greeted in a very friendly manner and the service with the orders continued in exactly the same way. The dishes on offer are beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. The price of the food is somewhat higher, but it is definitely worth the money. Ultimately, all generations were completely satisfied with their food choices and would come back at any time. All in all top and recommended.
