I've been to the shooting house eight times now, beautifully decorated as always. As always, I had the schnitzel without any side dishes plus raspberry lemonade (which was an absolute blast - addictive) it was quiet in the hunting room. The waitresses were friendly and very quick, it was a pleasure. An Lte or WiFi connection would have been even more perfect in the beautifully decorated hunting room, then I would have taken and posted pictures. I'm already looking forward to my next visit with you! Best regards

The beer garden was already closed for the season, but the dining room is very cozy. The service is friendly and the food is great in terms of selection and quality. No long waiting times! Absolutely recommended. With its opening days Monday - Wednesday, the Shooters House fills a gap here in the region, as many other restaurants are closed (especially on Mondays).

We haven't been there for a long time and found that it is only open three times a week and the number of places has been reduced. The food tasted very good, the price-performance ratio was completely ok. The ambience in the outdoor area is tastefully designed. Come again.

Went on a trip with friends to eat a large schnitzel, the cream puff wasn't fresh at all. Unfortunately, things slowed down a lot after Corona. It's a shame, it was always worth a visit, but today it's okay.

I have known Schießhaus for years. Before the pandemic, it was a good option for a family dinner. Unfortunately, today's Schießhaus is nothing like it was before the pandemic. The portion is large, but... I ordered schnitzel with chanterelles, and the set included fries which I don't like, so I asked for a change to pasta and an extra portion of sauce. My daughter ordered pizza with salami. Now the clou: the schnitzel was large, but only in terms of volume, the meat was thinly patted and dry as a chip. The panada was black, all fried in an old frying pan. The pasta was completely cold. The sauce tasted like ready-made bernaise from CC with the addition of chanterelles, at least it was ready-made from a package. I paid 30 € for this set, which is definitely too much for a schnitzel of this quality My daughter's pizza was completely burnt on the edges. As much salami and cheese as the cat cried. All you can say about the service is that it's in a hurry. The dish return staff were not interested in why we were returning full plates, although I waited quite a long time for someone to come over. The beer garden has a nice decor and a specific atmosphere, but the number of people makes you feel like you're at MC Donald's by the highway. To sum up: nasty food, busy staff, noise and dirty tables in the garden. I don't understand the phenomenon of this place. I will never go there again. It's a shame because it used to be a nice place with good food and still has potential.

Beautiful beer garden with cozy seating in the shape of an arbor. When it comes to food, the price/performance ratio is right; all the dishes we have bought so far have always tasted good. The big drawback, however, is the incessant background noise caused by the order numbers being called out all over the area, sometimes several times. Small suggestion, maybe switch to buzzer...

I have known the shooting house for over 30 years. It used to be a relatively simple beer garden. Lots of space, classic beer tables etc. A narrow climbing frame for children. It has developed over the years and it is simply a great location in the forest. The classic was and is the oversized schnitzel with fries. But there is also pizza and other classics such as roast pork. If you go home hungry, it's probably your own fault. Since I no longer live in my home country, I come to the shooting range at most once a year. Although I always like coming here, just because of the location, I found that this time it all had a bad aftertaste. For some time now (Corona certainly plays a big role here) it has only been open Mon to Wed, and a large part of the beer garden is closed. Everything seems very cramped now, and the amount of decoration and wood art feels like it has increased significantly. I found it very cramped. It was full, too. Drinks were available at the same counter as food, which used to be different. As a result, the queue was sometimes very long. But what really threw me off were the prices. I have to say that they have been this high for a while, at least a year (you can see from the photos of the menu). 17 euros for a schnitzel with fries. The side salad that was available a few years ago is no longer available either. I suspect because it often ended up in the trash. The schnitzel is huge, no question, the fries are just a handful. If you can't manage to eat, you get aluminum foil. It tastes good, but it's not a culinary experience. Still, 17 euros... I'm aware that the Shooters' House isn't the only place that has (or has) increased prices here, but it's a good example of what's going wrong everywhere these days. 5 years ago the whole thing cost 10 euros. This is a 70% price increase! The small portion used to cost 8 euros, now it costs 15. The price increase is even higher. Yes, wages and personnel costs and energy, everything is more expensive, but I have to say, just going to the shooting range with the family and everyone having a schnitzel and drinks... is no longer possible. As parents with one child, we spent 53 euros just for food plus drinks. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to pay. You can do this once a year, but I don't have to when I see that the beer garden has been squeezed into a small area and the children no longer have access to the play equipment. I wonder how much the schnitzel will cost in two or three years and whether people will really still come then. Maybe just drink something. What will become of the shooting house then... we don't know. People like to come, but the bland aftertaste remains, and that's a shame.

Nice beer garden with good Franconian cuisine. However, the very good pizzas from the stone oven are recommended. Good selection of drinks with acceptable prices. The loudspeaker announcements for ready-made food are more bearable than before, but still a bit annoying.

4 years ago: Biggest schnitzel far and wide, food and drink unbeatable, tables and benches unkempt and used, 4 stars because food is prepared very quickly and freshly. Update 05/15/24: Charging €17 for a schnitzel and €10 for a currywurst is outrageous! Today was the last time we were here. 1 star more absolutely not

Very nice beer garden. I wouldn't come back to eat. The schnitzel and the pizza were not convincing. True to the motto: mass instead of class 2024: Unfortunately nothing has changed. If you want to eat sensational schnitzel, you should go to the restaurant No Idea on the market square

Yes, I went there for pizza with the family because I had Italian pizza flour and tomato sauce that I had loaded up in Italy delivered there some time ago. I thought the pizza must taste good - far from it - bad luck for the three of us. It didn't taste good - I guess that was it.

I think it's bad that you fry the schnitzel once in a while and then quickly put it in the frying pan again before it's served to the guest and then you get a dark schnitzel soaked in oil that then sits heavy in your stomach all night long.

Früher hat am Schießhaus das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis, das Angebot an Speisen und die Öffnungszeiten gepasst. Mittlerweile habe ich den Eindruck gewonnen, man möchte mit minimalen Aufwand den maximalen Ertrag einfahren. Schade, bin früher sehr gern hin, vor allem wegen den leckeren Pizzen. Selbst diese kommen nur noch ganz blaß auf den Teller....

Wunderschöner Biergarten, Bier und Wein sehr gut, tolle Holzofenpizzen. Einziger Wermutstropfen: wegen Personalmangel nur Montag bis Mittwoch geöffnet.

Sehr schnelle Zubereitung Essen wird mit Nummer ausgerufen. Große sehr leckere Portionen zu seh günstigen Preisen. Ich werde gerne wieder kommen. Der Kartoffelsalat war super lecker und nicht aus dem Eimer.

Man hat das Gefühl, dass die Inhaber mittlerweile einfach versuchen mit minimaler Arbeit bis zum Ruhestand durchzukommen. Corona ist jetzt schon länger kein Thema mehr, aber das Schießhaus scheint als einziges Restaurant nicht zur Normalität zurückzukehren. Ab einem gewissen Punkt fragt man sich, wieso sie keine neuen Arbeitskräfte finden und auf das lukrative Wochenendgeschäft verzichten... Verständlicherweise sind dann auch die Preise recht angezogen, wenn nur an 3 Wochentagen der halbe Biergarten offen ist. Auch wenn die Portionen großzügig und lecker sind, die Preise, welche deutlich über Schweinfurter Schnitt liegen, lassen einen schon schlucken (insbesondere Jägerschnitzel für 19€). Wäre aber nur halb so wild, man kennt ja nie die Rechnung für den Wirten, aber wenn es denn nur wieder wie früher sein würde mit Öffnungszeiten, Angebot und Sitzplätzen. Schade, denn das Schießhaus verspielt damit seinen Status als Schweinfurter Institution. Ich hoffe, dass es sich bald bessert und werde auch in Zukunft das Schießhaus im Blick behalten.

Schön dort . Nur leider gibt es kein Kinderspielplatz mehr wo sich die kleinen beschäftigen können. Und es ist alles doch sehr gequetscht

War früher oft hier als das Kinderschnitzel mit Beilage noch 7,50€ gekostet hat, welches nun 18€ kostet. Ich rate jedem davon ab, das lokal hat die beste Zeit hinter sich.

War früher hier Stammgast, bin froh das es überhaupt wieder an manchen Tagen offen hat. Leider sind die Preise extrem gestiegen und das Essen schmeckt einfach nicht mehr so lecker wie früher. Das kleine Schnitzel für 15€ war sehr trocken und fast geschmacklos. Der Rehbraten 18€ und die Pizza für mind. 12€ waren aber gut. Die Bedienungen an der Kasse haben aber glaube ich nicht wirklich Lust auf Ihren Job, eher unfreundlich und schlecht gelaunt.

Wir kommen wegen dem wirklich schönen Biergarten sehr gern her. Das Essen an sich ist lecker. Ein Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes reicht uns locker zu zweit. Von daher passt der Preis. Man könnte aber ruhig einen kleinen Beilagensalat inklusive machen. Was mich extrem stört sind die Lautersprecher wenn die Nummern aufgerufen werden. Warm nicht Piepser kaufen die man den Leuten mit an den Tisch gibt so wie es in vielen Biergarten gemacht wird? Das wäre deutlich angenehmer.

Wunderschöner Biergarten mit Selbst bedienung und großer Speisekarte. Vor Corona, bekannt für seine Riesen- Schnitzel und günstige Preise. Diese Zeiten scheinen vorbei zu sein. Die Schnitzel sind zwar immer noch gigantisch, aber nun die Preise auch! Wir würden normal große Schnitzel mit normalen Preisen bevorzugen und werden unseren Hunger wohl künftig wo anders, oder zuhause stillen. Schade!

Noch einen Kommentar an Herrn Christian Justus: Die Leute wo außerhalb meckern sind genau diese wo Zuhause nichts anständiges Kochen bzw. den Kitt aus den Fenstern fressen und überall die größten Ansprüche stellen

Sehr schön gelegener Biergarten Preis Leistung ist beim Essen nicht gegeben auch wenn Portionen groß sind ist qualitativ ein schnitzel für 17€ und mit fertig Soße und dosenpilzen 19 € ist eine Hausnummer leider nicht mein lokal zahle gern den Preis aber für Qualität und Service

Nach 6 Jahren mal wieder hier gewesen und leider auch das letzte mal. Die Preise sind explodiert, Öffnungszeiten dann wenn kaum jemand Zeit hat und der Biergarten ist auch nur noch ein Drittel von dem was es mal war. Schade schade.....es war immer schön hier.

Das sind die größten Schnitzel, die ich je gesehen habe!!! Sie schmeckten auch fantastisch. Auch die Atmosphäre ist schön und ruhig, da man vom Wald umgeben ist. Muss ich empfehlen!!!

Haben Pizza gegessen. Wie immer sehr lecker

Schöner Biergarten viele Bäume grosse und kleine Tische und es ist Selbstbedienung. Man kann gut und günstig essen es gibt auch Kaffee und kuchen. Parkplätze sind vorhanden und alles ist rollstuhlgerecht. Unser Geheimtipp nach dem Besuch vom Tierpark drei Eichen.

Viel und gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen... Nachtrag: seit Corona war ich einmal dort, nicht mehr so ansprechend wie früher! Deswegen nur noch zwei Sterne!
