A successful weekend in the old half-timbered building, everything you need, clean and spacious, and above all nice and warm

We went to this restaurant based on the good reviews online, but unfortunately we can't confirm that at all. We came into a completely smoke-filled guest room, which may have once been quite nice, but in which one could hardly breathe. The kitchen exhaust didn't seem to work at all. The menu was very clear, apart from tarte flambée there wasn't much choice. Soup of the day was out at 6 p.m.!!! The decision was made on pork loin steak with salad and herb baguette. The steak was dry, the baguette was ready out of the bag. The salad consisted of some lettuce with 2 carrot strips and balsamic cream. Overall, the taste is... Only the waiter was friendly and accommodating. We were back outside after about 40 minutes and happy to be in the fresh air. Unfortunately, we had to take off and wash all of our clothes immediately after returning to the apartment, including the thick winter jackets... It's a shame, we expected more.

Nice and actually cozy place. But unfortunately, despite making a reservation in good time, as a solo eater I was pushed to the farthest corner to a table that was far too low and where a relaxed meal was not possible. It's a shame that as a single you keep coming across places like this.

Virkelig hyggelig gårdhave, helt nede på jorden (trods navnet himmel und Hölle). Vi havde en skøn aften med Flammkuchen og dessert. Rigtig god smag i maden. Og et glas vin var på karaffel og indeholdt min 2 glas. Vi kan kun anbefale stedet som autentisk og stemningsfuld, virkelig et besøg værd

The ambience inside was ok, everything was done in an “old rustic” way. Unfortunately it was too warm inside so we were allowed to sit outside. Unfortunately, the tables and chairs outside were dirty, there was bird droppings everywhere and the tables were also dusty with pollen. If you sit down outside (in the back yard) when asked, then I expect that either the seats are already clean or that the service staff will clean them quickly, which would have taken maybe 2 minutes. The food itself was ok, but it was just too expensive for what it was. Large selection of tarte flambée, but hardly any other dishes, only 3 with pork and everything only with the cheap "ready baguette" as a side dish. The prices of the dishes are simply too expensive for the type of presentation and selection of food that is used and ends up on the plate.

Small but mighty. Small shop with a very cozy courtyard. The staff was friendly. The food menu was manageable (mainly tarte flambée), but that was okay. We felt very comfortable. You should definitely try the Vegefeuer liqueur, but be careful, it has 55%!

The restaurant was smaller than expected...but quaint. However, it's more about the food. And it was really good...tasty and well portioned. We had a nice evening and left full and satisfied. Anyone walking through the alleys should take a look here...or go straight to it.

Was recommended on the internet. We were disappointed, 80% of the menu consists of tarte flambée, the rest, three pork steaks, each with a different sauce. The clothes smell like kitchen fumes because the door to the kitchen is open and all the fumes are drawn into the dining room. The traditional tarte flambée we ordered with salmon was only mediocre. So traditional Harz cuisine or, as described on the website, German cuisine is missing. You still have room for improvement here. You can also hang this saying in the restaurant.

The tarte flambées were very tasty. Not lavishly topped and lacking a bit of flavor. You shouldn't take a closer look at the windowsill or you'll find some dead animals. It was also possible to observe that not all hygiene standards were adhered to in the kitchen. Service quite nice. The boards already lost wood chips when cutting due to moisture etc. The service simply responded to it being passed on. Small, cute restaurant that is cutely decorated. The reviews run the risk of being rude, but only our honest opinion

There were four of us there and unfortunately the food was just average and way too expensive. Addendum to your comment. What do you mean there have to be guests like her?? We don't think it's sporty to deal with legitimate criticism in this way. But everyone should gain their own experiences with them or elsewhere.

A really great, quaint and cozy pub. Very nice little beer garden in the inner courtyard. Good Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is highly recommended. We will definitely come back on our next visit.

The food 🍽️ is really delicious😋. Tarte flambée 🔥, lasagna 🥣, steak 🥩 - everything to the point, great 👍. A bit too much salad 🥗 with the steak 🥩, I'd rather have a slice of baguette 🥖more. And the dessert, fruit crumble 🍏🍐🍑 with vanilla sauce 🍮, can only be recommended👌. The service 👩 was friendly 😊 and relaxed 👋. The timing ⏲️ was also right. We felt very comfortable. ☺️ Tip: reserving a table 🍴 makes perfect sense. ✔️. There isn't quite that much space 🙆‍♂️ here.

Sehr schönes Lokal in der Altstadt gelegen. Spezialisiert auf Flammkuchen. Der schmeckt auch sehr lecker. Nicht ganz günstig.

Cute little shop on a side street, comfortably furnished, small menu with attractive prices ;-) Solid food at good value for money and nice staff. It gets warm quickly at the tables on the gallery and the fumes rise after a while.

We were in this hell for the first and last time (it's not a restaurant). We had reserved in advance and were assigned the obviously worst round table in the gallery. You couldn't place your legs neatly under the table, nor was it possible to sit at the table in a sensible, West German manner. The tarte flambées were so heavily smeared with liquid garlic paste that we still had a strong taste of garlic in our mouths the next morning. Since this HELL - not a restaurant - also has no extractor hood in the so-called kitchen, all the kitchen smell went through HELL and especially up into our clothes. And for 0.4 liters of apple spritzer the price of €6 is outrageous when compared to 0.25 liters of wine for €5.20. The next morning the kitchen smell still hadn't gone away. CONCLUSION: Anyone who rates a place like this with 5 stars has obviously never visited a really good restaurant and has never been out of dark Germany. And now Koch's self-promoter is insulted in his dirty outfit, which would immediately alert a hygiene institute to action. But in dark Germany, hygiene is still a foreign word.

Super cute restaurant with friendly, courteous service. The wine recommendation was excellent. The tarte flambée was excellent, we shared a third tarte flambée between the two of us to fill us up. A tarte flambée would probably have been enough as a starter. Individual requests are taken into account. Waiting times are also quite short.

Where should I start, like all of Quedlinburg, this ambience has a very special charm, historical, rustic and cozy! The restaurant is quite manageable, we were lucky to get a table from 5 p.m. until the next reservation at 7 p.m. and over the course of this time we saw a lot of guests come and then be sent away again. So it seems to be very popular and I recommend booking in advance! Great selection of various tarte flambées and other dishes, with the tarte flambée you make a good choice, at a top price-performance ratio! The service was very friendly and attentive. Overall we were very satisfied! I recommend going to hell! 😉😈

We wanted to eat there on a Saturday at 7:30 p.m. But we didn't get anything because the kitchen was closed. It opened at 5 p.m., so it's incomprehensible that the kitchen should close so early.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend, lecker gegessen, sehr aufmerksamer Service, .... es hat uns viel Freude gemacht ... kleiner Wermutstropfen: alle Kleidungsstücke mussten im Anschluß in die Wäsche, denn der Geruch war unschön, sehr schade.

Ein gemütliches kleines Ecklokal. Zusätzlich gibt es Tische im Innenhof. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll, das Team ist engagiert und sehr freundlich. Freundlicher Empfang, Tisch im „Garten“ gewählt, da im Lokal zu warm (20.082023) und vor der Tür auf Trottoirs kleine Tische. Speisekarte übersichtlich. Vorspeisenplatte war recht einfach. Eine weiße Sauce mit wenig Geschmack. Rest ein Wechsel aus eingelegten Antipasti und frischem Rukola. Dann haben wir uns zu dem Flammkuchen entschieden. Dieser was einfach belegt und schmackhaft. Preislich natürlich wie derzeit überall in der Gastronomie entsprechend betreust. In Summe waren wir eher enttäuscht als zufrieden.

This is a really little, intemate and cozy restaurant, designed for couples or close friends. We had flammkuchen which I never had tried before, and if you are looking for an alternative to pizza, with less focus on bread, cheese and tomato sauce, then this is the place to try flammkuchen. Very light to digest and with increased focus on the tasteful ingredients. Only downside/ mishab was some confusion on the order, but ended being satisfied with what we got.

Sweet and quiet restaurant with great ambience, delicious food and friendly staff in the very heart of the historical old town of Quedlinburg. We stayed for a week with AirBnb just meters from it, so had several occasions to take meals, and all were superb, especially the pork steak with herb butter! The area overall is magical, you can feel as back in time some 400 years :) I absolutely recommend this place!

Ein wunderschönes kleines verspielt gestaltetes Restaurant, stylisch und fair bepreist. Wir wurden sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen. Es gab eine kleine Ungereimtheit beim Essen. Man intervenierte vorbildlich!!!:) Da erkennt man die wahre Qualität eines Restaurants. Vielen Dank für das super leckere Essen und die herzliche Art :)

Das Abendessen im Himmel und Hölle ist sehr zu empfehlen, sehr entspannte Preise, Lasagne für 13,90€, Flammkuchen mit verschiedenen Belägen ab 10,90€. Sehr schönes kleines Lokal, süßer kleiner Innenhof in dem man windgeschützt sitzen kann. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und das Essen war auch sehr schmackhaft. Die Portionen haben mich und meine Partnerin gut gesättigt. Man könnte dort den ganzen Abend sitzen und das eine oder andere Getränk zu sich nehmen. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, dort gegessen zu haben

This is a very small restaurant on a quiet historic corner on a small street just a short walk from the marketplace. It is perfect for an intimate couples evening out. Prices are very reasonable for food and wine (the wine list is short). There is no fussiness about this place. It is simple, unpretentious, excellent food. There are five tables or so in the front, and perhaps five more in a lovely verdant courtyard in the back, and three very small tables on the street in front. We had the antipasti plate to start. I had the delicious Cheese Spätzle and my wife, a Flammkuchen. Portions were large enough that we had no room for dessert. The wait staff was young and attentive. The place felt just right - quiet, peaceful, and perfect.

Himmel & Hölle ist ein sehr einladendes kleine Restaurant mit viel Charme, Patina und Gemütlichkeit. Die Qualität der Speisen ist wirklich gut, für ein sehr gut reicht es nicht. Das macht aber nichts, die Atmosphäre und der Charme macht es mehr als wett. Für Besucher Quedlingburgs quasi ein Muss. Das Einzige, was mich störte, war der Küchengeruch im Gastraum.

Very cute little restaurant just around the corner from the Christmas market. We enjoyed the flammkuchen with onion & speck delicious. Service very friendly & efficient. Recommended.

Ein sehr freundlicher Service, ein geniales Ambiente und eine gute Auswahl an Speisen, die durchaus schmackhaft sind. Bedauerlich nur, dass die Lüftung in der Küche offenbar nicht funktioniert; somit lag ein Dauernebel über dem Lokal und die Kleidung roch entsprechend.

Kleines Restaurant mit gemütlicher Atmosphäre in den Fachwerkgassen Quedlinburgs. Die deftigen Gerichte sind genau das Richtige nach einer Wanderung. Auch unser Hund wurde liebevoll versorgt.

Ein tolles kleines Restaurant in einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Unbedingt einen Tisch reservieren. Service ist sehr freundlich und flott. Die Wartezeit von der Bestellung bis das Essen serviert wird, vergeht schnell. Wir haben uns für Antipasti, Flammkuchen und Schweinefilet entschieden. Alles mega lecker. Und die Preise sind moderat.

Wir hatten einen Tisch am Tag vorher reserviert und können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen ! Es gibt viele Arten an Flammkuchen , aber auch eine kleine Auswahl an Pasta / Fleischgerichten. Wir hatten uns für die Flammkuchen entschieden und würden jederzeit wieder kommen ! Macht weiter so. Service war ebenso top !
