A very nice restaurant with delicious food. The sand on the floor and the beach atmosphere inside make it very cozy.

Delicious food. Friendly waiters. Pleasant atmosphere. Higher prices. We go there often.

Unfortunately, I was served an alcoholic cocktail during my visit, even though I had specifically ordered a non-alcoholic one, which was very concerning for me as a pregnant woman. The team handled the incident kindly after I reported it, and I was assured that internal measures had been taken. Nevertheless, I'm left with a loss of trust, which is why I would be particularly cautious in the future. The location is lovely, but I would appreciate more attentive service.

I've been there several times. They have a wide variety of food. There's something for everyone.

We ate at the sandbar today. It was wonderful, everything was perfect! Great atmosphere, pure vacation feeling 😊 Super service and very tasty food. Our little daughter especially loved the sand and the sand toys. Next time we have to try the cocktails 😋 We'll definitely be back. 🤗

Henry's Sandbar is a nice place to meet up with friends after work for a few drinks and a delicious meal. The burger was delicious and juicy. The noise level is actually a bit difficult, and it's very loud at full capacity. Unfortunately, the air quality was very bad there yesterday. I remember it differently – it also made my clothes smell strongly of food. Despite the criticisms, I'd be happy to come back.

It was simply fantastic. The service was very good and prompt; we even got another table even though the restaurant was quite busy. The food and drinks were excellent.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The food tasted run-of-the-mill, and both my partner and I had severe stomach upsets for the second time. The waitresses are very friendly, but the owner is very rude and just wants to make a quick buck. Guests who just wanted a drink were quickly pressured to leave. We won't be back. The atmosphere was great, but the food and the manager unfortunately ruined everything. A real shame, and I wouldn't recommend it!

We were there a few days ago! I always liked it a lot, but unfortunately that's no longer the case. I ordered a grill plate where the meat underneath was very overcooked, making it tough and stringy. My daughter had a kids' burger where the bun had been cut off to make it look smaller. Man, it looks like it's been nibbled on. (You can also buy them ready-made so they don't look so bad.) The service doesn't pay any attention at all; the cubes are no use if you make them glow and you still have to wait a long time. The girls are super friendly, but the male staff can sometimes learn something and look nice, very unfriendly, as long as you leave money. So, things have unfortunately changed a lot. It was much better years ago. Sorry.

Very unfriendly Turkish staff. You're first seated at a table and then rudely told that both people have to order food, otherwise you'll have to sit at another table. (Both ordered drinks and one ordered food.)

Highly recommended!! We've been going to Henry's Sandbar for dinner occasionally for several years. It's a long journey, but we're happy to accept it. The service is always perfect, the food is freshly prepared very quickly after ordering, and it tastes simply delicious. The prices are a bit more expensive, but you definitely get high-quality food. All in all, I definitely recommend it!

We had the fajitas and the veggie burger with baked potato. Everything was delicious and plentiful.

Unfortunately, only 2/5 stars. The food is always delicious, but the ambiance and friendliness leave a lot to be desired. Despite the small number of people, it's extremely loud, and the service is sometimes extremely rude and not at all attentive. Several small things (extra sauce, for example) were overlooked when ordering. A question about my cocktail was met with a brusque response, and I felt like I was being teased about it afterwards. Henry's was one of my favorite restaurants a few years ago, but unfortunately, it has declined considerably. A real shame.

I had dinner with my coworkers. The food was generally adequate, but nothing special. The sandy beach interior was unique. The waiter was also friendly.

The food is okay if you like meat dishes and burgers, and the prices are reasonable. But you have to be careful when making an online reservation. At the high table (uncomfortable), you can order as you please, but if you want to sit at a regular table, you're forced to order a main course individually, meaning you can't share a meal with your tablemate if you're a little hungry. Even when I explained that I couldn't even manage a child's portion due to stomach problems, they didn't understand. Of the two waiters, one didn't speak a word of German. He came when called and listened, only to call his colleague at the end. The sand scattered on the floor can be a bit of a problem if you're wearing open shoes; you should definitely wash your feet at home.

Actually, I'd rather not give it a star... We wanted to have a coffee at Henry's Beach Bar last night (Sunday evening) around 8:15 p.m. As soon as we got to the door, we were told quite clearly that we couldn't get in because the staff were sick and would therefore close early. However, there were still a few customers inside. We explained that we had already eaten and just wanted to order a drink, but that was also refused – with the comment that they wanted to go home at some point. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing visit for us: a lack of hospitality, rude behavior, and no effort to find a solution. You really don't expect that.

The food is delicious, but the cocktails are unfortunately a bit lackluster. What really bothered us, however, were the children from three different families playing wildly. The children had buckets, shovels, and dump trucks with them and turned the restaurant into a giant playground. It was a real shame that nothing was done about this! After all, this is a restaurant, not an oversized sandbox!

We dined here with three adults and two children after a music event, after making a reservation. The ambiance, the sand, the music, and the overall style made you forget any stress you felt beforehand. Then the delicious grilled meat we adults chose, and the potato with sour cream and chicken for the kids, were world-class! The meat was absolutely tender and cooked to perfection! It was a first-class getaway combining ambiance and culinary delights! Excellent - 5 stars plus! THANK YOU! :-)

The food, service, and ambiance were all very good. The staff was very attentive and friendly, even under difficult conditions. The only annoying thing is the noise level when it's full. Conversation is almost impossible.

Nice ambiance. We had a voucher that was supposedly too old. It wasn't accepted because there was apparently a change of ownership, making it non-transferable. It's a shame there was no concession or goodwill...

The food here is okay. The service, unfortunately, isn't. Under these circumstances, nothing tastes the same anymore. The waiters are completely inattentive, uncommunicative, and sometimes not properly informed about the menu items. Perhaps simply disinterested and listless. Guests are secondary here. At the door, you're immediately made aware of the very strange rule that you absolutely have to eat to sit at the comfortable, good tables. Otherwise, you're banished to the very uncomfortable, wobbly high seats for drinks, like third-class guests. It quickly becomes clear that you're not particularly welcome in general. Even on a Monday, when many of the regular seating areas were empty, they arrogantly claimed that the tables were being cleaned for the next day and therefore not to be occupied. How customer-unfriendly do you have to be! After all, it's a bar and a restaurant, that's what it says on the outside. Then the "bar" label should be removed. I travel so much and love to travel, but I've never experienced anything like this before. Not even the most amazing restaurants in St. Tropez, Miami, or New York offer such arrogance! Unacceptable management!

Our group of 8 people wanted a nightcap around 10 p.m. on August 15th. They kindly explained to us that the owner only gives away empty tables if you also eat there. A standing table would be fine. In 30 years of regular visits, we've NEVER experienced THAT. We had a disabled person (with amputated legs) in a wheelchair with us. Were we supposed to look down at him??? The place was three-quarters empty. Even though I've known the waiter for many years, he had his rules. A bar with lots of delicious drinks 🍸 🍹 obliges you to eat if you want to sit down? Where are we? In the parking lot, we met a couple who were treated the same way. We then went to the Schweitzer, where, despite the "closed at 11 p.m." sign, we EVERYONE got a delicious nightcap. The Schweitzer saved the evening. This "beach bar" won't just see us, never again. It's a shame about the nice service, but without guests they will soon become redundant.

A lovely ambiance and just the right place if you're looking for something different. The sand on the floor and the interior invite you to experience a certain holiday feeling. The food was of a high standard and offered fair value for money.

Just popped in spontaneously for a cocktail. Unfortunately, they turned me away because they don't serve food. They couldn't suggest an alternative. We certainly would have enjoyed a snack or two. I think it's a shame that they sort out visitors like that.

The food is very tasty; there could be more starter options, but this isn't a criticism. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the food offers good value for money. Drinks are too expensive, as is the case almost everywhere.

Absolutely not recommended; the food is cold. Dishes are incorrectly prepared and explained, even though it was the colleague who made it. One star is far too dirty dishes. It's no longer a requirement, but there are only three people behind the counter when there are a total of 10 people in the entire restaurant. The tables are covered in grease.

Good food, rice was also a popular option with the chicken on the children's menu, special ambience, especially the sandy floor including the sand play area, service was very friendly and quick, and the serving cubes on the tables were also taken care of straight away.

A restaurant/bar owner has dared to do something special. Sand inside and a beautiful wooden terrace with glass outside. Plenty of decorative beach bar furnishings. The service is friendly and quick, and even addressed a complaint, which was resolved immediately. The cili burger, paddy, and truffle mayo were of very good quality and fresh. The prices are in the middle ground, but definitely reasonable for such a great concept. A definite recommendation!

Unfortunately, I have to share my negative experience with Henry's Sandbar. My wife and I entered the half-full restaurant at 4 p.m. for a drink. The employee directed us to a high-top table because you can't get a "normal" table without eating. I pointed out that my wife is nine months pregnant and therefore the high chair wouldn't be suitable. The employee's only solution was to prevent us from eating there. Unfortunately, it's not customer-oriented and sales-oriented to send someone away when the restaurant is only about half full. I won't be back. I wish him all the best anyway.

Delicious, nice, and on the higher end. A bit loud and stuffy, and the smell from the kitchen permeates the entire place. But it's nice to meet up there for a meal and a chat.

The visit to the restaurant was a surprise. Great, the whole floor was full of sand and a great beach feeling food came promptly, from steak to burgers, schnitzel and a bowl, everything was fantastic. Nicely prepared, prices not exorbitant, would love to come back!

Very disappointing. They didn't let us in, even though many tables were free. There were only a few small bar tables for drinks and numerous free tables for eating. Nevertheless, we weren't allowed to sit down there, even though it was already 10 p.m. and hardly anyone would have come to eat. Not good management.

The mood and ambience really had a holiday feel to it at the beginning. Very nice idea with the sand under your feet. Unfortunately it was very loud at the table inside. The service was very hectic, but inattentive. We had to wait quite a long time for our food, but that was also due to the full capacity. The food was ok, but quite expensive for this restaurant category. 2 people, 2 main courses + dessert and 2 drinks each for a total of 96 euros. All in all, an extraordinary concept, but in my opinion there is still a lot of room for improvement.

I had the best burger here in a long time. Great idea with the service cube on the table. This means the staff knows immediately when you want to order or pay the bill. Gladly again!

We discovered the restaurant by chance while passing through and were absolutely thrilled. The food was delicious, the staff was very nice and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. We were particularly impressed by the atmosphere, especially our 1 year old daughter who only played in the sand during our entire stay. Henry’s Sandbar & Restaurant is highly recommended and we will definitely come back again, even though we unfortunately live over 300km away.

The atmosphere is really nice, unfortunately my bowl was super salty and swimming in soy and teriyaki sauce. I brought this to the attention of the service employee. But that was it. I would have liked at least a dessert on the house or something similar to make up for it, but it was just too expensive for that. Cocktails were delicious. So I wouldn't eat anything like that here again.

Even as a vegetarian, very tasty alternative, good and fast service. I also really like the atmosphere, but I'm not a fan of the sand on the floor 😉

The food was incredibly delicious and the cocktails were equally excellent. The service was of the highest standard - all the staff were friendly, smiled and regularly asked if everything was OK. You felt very welcome and well looked after. Just one small thing that we didn't like at first: when making the reservation I had stated that we were celebrating our anniversary, but we were assigned a table in a very busy area, between other tables. It was so loud that I could barely hear my partner, who was sitting less than a meter away - almost like I was in a club. However, when we asked to change tables, we were immediately offered a more comfortable spot in a quieter corner. We are very grateful for this and were able to enjoy the evening in a more pleasant atmosphere.🤝🏻💞

No idea why they only get 4 on Tripadvisor, but for us it should be a 5! Very tasty food. Portions certainly big enough. Well-maintained, smooth operation. Nothing to complain about. Funny that the floor is sand (fajitas and chicken burgers are definitely recommended.

I was recently at the Sandbar again. A cozy shop with a sandy floor - the Sandbar. The **cocktails** are true works of art: creative, high quality and perfectly mixed. Simply delicious - cheers The **food** surprised me positively - from small snacks to sophisticated dishes, everything was deliciously prepared and went perfectly with the drinks. The rolls are particularly recommended. The **service** was friendly, competent and attentive without being intrusive. Price-performance is absolutely right here - you can tell that quality and customer friendliness are the priority.

Apparently the opening hours are until 11 p.m. during the week. We were there at 10 p.m. and just wanted a quick drink. We weren't even allowed to sit at the tables. It's understandable that the kitchen is closed, but the fact that you're not allowed to sit at the table was really outrageous. The waitress actually said it very rudely. Thanks for nothing

Absolute catastrophe – never again! I've been to a lot of bad places, but this really sets a new standard for incompetence. The staff? A collection of unmotivated, completely overwhelmed people who have apparently never heard of customer service. Friendliness? None! Instead, you get annoyed looks and a wait that feels like an eternity. The highlight of the horror, however, was the bartender. I don't know if he just had no idea or just didn't care - but the cocktails were an absolute disgrace! The taste was somewhere between dishwashing water and cough medicine, carelessly poured together and served with an arrogance that was almost unbearable. There's just nothing wrong here. Miserable service, incompetent staff and drinks that you could mix better even with your eyes closed. If you want to ruin a nice evening, this is the place for you. Everyone else: avoid this store at all costs!

Disappointing – Not recommended! I was really disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The staff was rude and had no thought of service. Despite free tables, we were not offered a seat and had to stand at a bar table, which was completely inappropriate. The biggest drawback, however, was the Aperol we ordered - it was completely alcohol-free, which is simply unacceptable, especially when you're specifically expecting a regular Aperol. We didn't even get the food. It's a real shame because I expected more. I definitely won't visit this restaurant again and can't recommend it.

I had reserved a table for 6 p.m., which was actually intended for us for two hours. But after less than 1.5 hours we were more or less forced to leave because the next guests were already ready. Without a reasonable explanation from the waiter we had to pay and clear the table. Something like that doesn't work! Treating guests in this way is unacceptable. While the food was okay, it wasn't anything worth coming back for - which we won't do anyway.

I've been here several times now and I'm thrilled every time. Great atmosphere, very nice young service, and what is very important in a restaurant, good food. I can definitely recommend the citizens, the baked potatoes and the bowls. You can't go wrong, it's simply delicious. The portions are also decent so you will definitely be full. The homemade lemonades round it all off for me. The ambience is also very nice. Sand wherever you walk (which is also the sand bar) and beautiful wooden tables. To conjure up the operation there is a light cube that you can activate to pay or order. If you have an NFC-enabled cell phone, you can also hold it up to the cube and the app opens via the browser. You can also order drinks and desserts in the app and have them brought to your table. Overall a good concept, it certainly won't be the last time I've been here. 😘

I was there a few years ago and was happy back then. Unfortunately this time we weren't satisfied at all. The burger was brought to the table incorrectly, which can always happen. We then informed the waiter that the Italy Burger was missing the mozzarella, the grilled tomatoes and the homemade pesto. Instead it had tartar sauce, onions and regular tomatoes on it. He went into the kitchen with the burger and came back after a few minutes saying he was sorry and now it was the right burger. We looked at it and were stunned. Half of the tartar sauce was scraped off, the mozzarella was put on top, the rest remained as it was and the sauce and tomatoes were still missing. Truly unbelievable! How to treat customers like that. We felt like we were being kidded. That was probably our last visit.

The food is perfect, the service is great. Unfortunately, I find the background noise to be extremely high. If that doesn't bother you, you'll be well accommodated there!

Ein interessantes Restaurant mit, wie der Name es sagt, Sand auf dem Boden hat. Leider nimmt man einen starken Essengeruch war, sowie man die Bar betritt. Leider war unser Essen lauwarm und der Service hatte beim Servieren den Daumen im Salat. Das Ambiente an sich ist ansprechend aber nicht unser Ding. Es war viel los, was für das Restaurant spricht.

We had a very nice evening at Henry's Sandbar. The green bowl with fried chicken pieces and terriyaki sauce was delicious. Compliments to the kitchen! The waitress was super friendly and very attentive. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

The food was very good, everything was served hot. The salad was fresh and tasty and the salad dressing was delicious. Our Margerita (cocktail) is also recommended. It could have been a little cooler and I didn't like the dried lime either. But taste good. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and quick. We'd love to come back! Thank you!

The carrot and ginger soup is super tasty and highly recommended, but we were also very satisfied with the main courses. My husband's meat was a bit cold. If we had complained about it, we would definitely have gotten a new one. For the meat, I thought it was great that the seasoning was in a separate bowl. So you can decide for yourself how much you want on it. The service was super nice. All seats were occupied and we were informed that it might take a little longer to eat today. The food still came quicker than in most other restaurants when it's so busy. So we were completely satisfied with that too. We will be happy to come back, thank you for the great food.

Too bad chocolate. We were sent away with the words we were a restaurant and not a snack bar, so unfortunately there was no takeaway food for us. At least a note on the homepage would have been nice that no take-away food is offered.

Unfortunately there was a mix-up with a dish in the kitchen

Very good spot to eat while charging car. Service very friendly and very fast even though the place was packed. Schnitzel was huge. The curry was also delishes.

The food is great, unfortunately my wife has had stomach surgery and can't even eat a children's portion. She asked if it was possible for her to have a children's plate and was immediately told no, this is only available up to 12 years. The question as to whether there was an option for you to have a small portion of another dish was again answered in the negative with the answer being that you could take the rest home with you. There is also no robber plate. Worst service we have had so far. Even in a brewery in Cologne there were no problems. This was the first visit for us and unfortunately probably the last visit unless the service improves. Dogs are also not allowed.

We were there for the first time with 8 girls. The food, location, cleanliness and service were top. However, we found it much too loud there. Almost had to shout at each other to talk. Music and overall volume are just way too loud. We were there for almost 3.5 hours.

If you come to Kepen you absolutely must stop here. Certainly not for the service which calmly leaves something to be desired, server very cold, stressed and not at all attentive to the table, I had to ask for my drink 3 times while all the table was already served. However, the cuisine is just excellent and the setting is magnificent. Everything is littered with sand and the playlist makes you believe that you are in the sunny islands and not in an industrial zone in the depths of Germany. Don't miss out on this opportunity to eat well. Very VALUE FOR MONEY 🤜🏾🤛🏽

Fantastic. The ambience surprised us as soon as we entered. You actually walk on sand, that was great. Otherwise very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and taken straight to our table (I recommend making a reservation in advance, as it was already very busy at 5:30 p.m. and was getting more and more crowded). You can place your order by pressing a cube on the table, walking very close to the cube with your smartphone or simply asking the waitress. Great concept, which - from my point of view - works great. So, selected and ordered food. After about 10 minutes it was already there. Really well presented, large portions and... very, very tasty! When the drink was empty in between, I simply ordered a new drink on my smartphone and the new drink arrived straight away after 2 minutes. I was thrilled. All in all, a great restaurant with nice decor, great staff, innovative ideas on how to bring service and technology together and incredibly good cuisine! We'll definitely be back, thank you very much!
