Alpenburger is one of the best I've ever had! Good cocktails too.

A lovely ambiance and just the right place if you're looking for something different. The sand on the floor and the interior invite you to experience a certain holiday feeling. The food was of a high standard and offered fair value for money.

Just popped in spontaneously for a cocktail. Unfortunately, they turned me away because they don't serve food. They couldn't suggest an alternative. We certainly would have enjoyed a snack or two. I think it's a shame that they sort out visitors like that.

The food is very tasty; there could be more starter options, but this isn't a criticism. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the food offers good value for money. Drinks are too expensive, as is the case almost everywhere.

Friendly staff, great ambience, very good food

Absolutely not recommended; the food is cold. Dishes are incorrectly prepared and explained, even though it was the colleague who made it. One star is far too dirty dishes. It's no longer a requirement, but there are only three people behind the counter when there are a total of 10 people in the entire restaurant. The tables are covered in grease.

Good food, rice was also a popular option with the chicken on the children's menu, special ambience, especially the sandy floor including the sand play area, service was very friendly and quick, and the serving cubes on the tables were also taken care of straight away.

A restaurant/bar owner has dared to do something special. Sand inside and a beautiful wooden terrace with glass outside. Plenty of decorative beach bar furnishings. The service is friendly and quick, and even addressed a complaint, which was resolved immediately. The cili burger, paddy, and truffle mayo were of very good quality and fresh. The prices are in the middle ground, but definitely reasonable for such a great concept. A definite recommendation!

A nice location with good food at a higher price point. Only the sauces were a bit poorly placed. So we had to reorder them. We were there for lunch with 10 people. The creme brulee was delicious. The cocktails were also good.

Unfortunately, I have to share my negative experience with Henry's Sandbar. My wife and I entered the half-full restaurant at 4 p.m. for a drink. The employee directed us to a high-top table because you can't get a "normal" table without eating. I pointed out that my wife is nine months pregnant and therefore the high chair wouldn't be suitable. The employee's only solution was to prevent us from eating there. Unfortunately, it's not customer-oriented and sales-oriented to send someone away when the restaurant is only about half full. I won't be back. I wish him all the best anyway.

Delicious, nice, and on the higher end. A bit loud and stuffy, and the smell from the kitchen permeates the entire place. But it's nice to meet up there for a meal and a chat.

The visit to the restaurant was a surprise. Great, the whole floor was full of sand and a great beach feeling food came promptly, from steak to burgers, schnitzel and a bowl, everything was fantastic. Nicely prepared, prices not exorbitant, would love to come back!

Very disappointing. They didn't let us in, even though many tables were free. There were only a few small bar tables for drinks and numerous free tables for eating. Nevertheless, we weren't allowed to sit down there, even though it was already 10 p.m. and hardly anyone would have come to eat. Not good management.

This was my second time there and I can only recommend it. The ambience is great. You feel like you're on vacation, even though the restaurant is in an industrial area. The staff is always courteous and very friendly. Eating was always a pleasure.

I had the best burger here in a long time. Great idea with the service cube on the table. This means the staff knows immediately when you want to order or pay the bill. Gladly again!

The mood and ambience really had a holiday feel to it at the beginning. Very nice idea with the sand under your feet. Unfortunately it was very loud at the table inside. The service was very hectic, but inattentive. We had to wait quite a long time for our food, but that was also due to the full capacity. The food was ok, but quite expensive for this restaurant category. 2 people, 2 main courses + dessert and 2 drinks each for a total of 96 euros. All in all, an extraordinary concept, but in my opinion there is still a lot of room for improvement.

We discovered the restaurant by chance while passing through and were absolutely thrilled. The food was delicious, the staff was very nice and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. We were particularly impressed by the atmosphere, especially our 1 year old daughter who only played in the sand during our entire stay. Henry’s Sandbar & Restaurant is highly recommended and we will definitely come back again, even though we unfortunately live over 300km away.

Unfortunately I got the wrong dish but it was also delicious

The atmosphere is really nice, unfortunately my bowl was super salty and swimming in soy and teriyaki sauce. I brought this to the attention of the service employee. But that was it. I would have liked at least a dessert on the house or something similar to make up for it, but it was just too expensive for that. Cocktails were delicious. So I wouldn't eat anything like that here again.

The food was incredibly delicious and the cocktails were equally excellent. The service was of the highest standard - all the staff were friendly, smiled and regularly asked if everything was OK. You felt very welcome and well looked after. Just one small thing that we didn't like at first: when making the reservation I had stated that we were celebrating our anniversary, but we were assigned a table in a very busy area, between other tables. It was so loud that I could barely hear my partner, who was sitting less than a meter away - almost like I was in a club. However, when we asked to change tables, we were immediately offered a more comfortable spot in a quieter corner. We are very grateful for this and were able to enjoy the evening in a more pleasant atmosphere.🤝🏻💞

No idea why they only get 4 on Tripadvisor, but for us it should be a 5! Very tasty food. Portions certainly big enough. Well-maintained, smooth operation. Nothing to complain about. Funny that the floor is sand (fajitas and chicken burgers are definitely recommended.

Great location to eat and drink with friends. The food is served quickly - it feels faster than in a drive-in of a neighboring burger chain 😉

Fresh food, great atmosphere, great service and excellent cocktails

I was recently at the Sandbar again. A cozy shop with a sandy floor - the Sandbar. The **cocktails** are true works of art: creative, high quality and perfectly mixed. Simply delicious - cheers The **food** surprised me positively - from small snacks to sophisticated dishes, everything was deliciously prepared and went perfectly with the drinks. The rolls are particularly recommended. The **service** was friendly, competent and attentive without being intrusive. Price-performance is absolutely right here - you can tell that quality and customer friendliness are the priority.

Apparently the opening hours are until 11 p.m. during the week. We were there at 10 p.m. and just wanted a quick drink. We weren't even allowed to sit at the tables. It's understandable that the kitchen is closed, but the fact that you're not allowed to sit at the table was really outrageous. The waitress actually said it very rudely. Thanks for nothing

Disappointing – Not recommended! I was really disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The staff was rude and had no thought of service. Despite free tables, we were not offered a seat and had to stand at a bar table, which was completely inappropriate. The biggest drawback, however, was the Aperol we ordered - it was completely alcohol-free, which is simply unacceptable, especially when you're specifically expecting a regular Aperol. We didn't even get the food. It's a real shame because I expected more. I definitely won't visit this restaurant again and can't recommend it.

Absolute catastrophe – never again! I've been to a lot of bad places, but this really sets a new standard for incompetence. The staff? A collection of unmotivated, completely overwhelmed people who have apparently never heard of customer service. Friendliness? None! Instead, you get annoyed looks and a wait that feels like an eternity. The highlight of the horror, however, was the bartender. I don't know if he just had no idea or just didn't care - but the cocktails were an absolute disgrace! The taste was somewhere between dishwashing water and cough medicine, carelessly poured together and served with an arrogance that was almost unbearable. There's just nothing wrong here. Miserable service, incompetent staff and drinks that you could mix better even with your eyes closed. If you want to ruin a nice evening, this is the place for you. Everyone else: avoid this store at all costs!

I had reserved a table for 6 p.m., which was actually intended for us for two hours. But after less than 1.5 hours we were more or less forced to leave because the next guests were already ready. Without a reasonable explanation from the waiter we had to pay and clear the table. Something like that doesn't work! Treating guests in this way is unacceptable. While the food was okay, it wasn't anything worth coming back for - which we won't do anyway.

I've been here several times now and I'm thrilled every time. Great atmosphere, very nice young service, and what is very important in a restaurant, good food. I can definitely recommend the citizens, the baked potatoes and the bowls. You can't go wrong, it's simply delicious. The portions are also decent so you will definitely be full. The homemade lemonades round it all off for me. The ambience is also very nice. Sand wherever you walk (which is also the sand bar) and beautiful wooden tables. To conjure up the operation there is a light cube that you can activate to pay or order. If you have an NFC-enabled cell phone, you can also hold it up to the cube and the app opens via the browser. You can also order drinks and desserts in the app and have them brought to your table. Overall a good concept, it certainly won't be the last time I've been here. 😘

I was there a few years ago and was happy back then. Unfortunately this time we weren't satisfied at all. The burger was brought to the table incorrectly, which can always happen. We then informed the waiter that the Italy Burger was missing the mozzarella, the grilled tomatoes and the homemade pesto. Instead it had tartar sauce, onions and regular tomatoes on it. He went into the kitchen with the burger and came back after a few minutes saying he was sorry and now it was the right burger. We looked at it and were stunned. Half of the tartar sauce was scraped off, the mozzarella was put on top, the rest remained as it was and the sauce and tomatoes were still missing. Truly unbelievable! How to treat customers like that. We felt like we were being kidded. That was probably our last visit.

The food is perfect, the service is great. Unfortunately, I find the background noise to be extremely high. If that doesn't bother you, you'll be well accommodated there!

Ein interessantes Restaurant mit, wie der Name es sagt, Sand auf dem Boden hat. Leider nimmt man einen starken Essengeruch war, sowie man die Bar betritt. Leider war unser Essen lauwarm und der Service hatte beim Servieren den Daumen im Salat. Das Ambiente an sich ist ansprechend aber nicht unser Ding. Es war viel los, was für das Restaurant spricht.

We had a very nice evening at Henry's Sandbar. The green bowl with fried chicken pieces and terriyaki sauce was delicious. Compliments to the kitchen! The waitress was super friendly and very attentive. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

The food was very good, everything was served hot. The salad was fresh and tasty and the salad dressing was delicious. Our Margerita (cocktail) is also recommended. It could have been a little cooler and I didn't like the dried lime either. But taste good. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and quick. We'd love to come back! Thank you!

The carrot and ginger soup is super tasty and highly recommended, but we were also very satisfied with the main courses. My husband's meat was a bit cold. If we had complained about it, we would definitely have gotten a new one. For the meat, I thought it was great that the seasoning was in a separate bowl. So you can decide for yourself how much you want on it. The service was super nice. All seats were occupied and we were informed that it might take a little longer to eat today. The food still came quicker than in most other restaurants when it's so busy. So we were completely satisfied with that too. We will be happy to come back, thank you for the great food.

Too bad chocolate. We were sent away with the words we were a restaurant and not a snack bar, so unfortunately there was no takeaway food for us. At least a note on the homepage would have been nice that no take-away food is offered.

Very good spot to eat while charging car. Service very friendly and very fast even though the place was packed. Schnitzel was huge. The curry was also delishes.

The food is great, unfortunately my wife has had stomach surgery and can't even eat a children's portion. She asked if it was possible for her to have a children's plate and was immediately told no, this is only available up to 12 years. The question as to whether there was an option for you to have a small portion of another dish was again answered in the negative with the answer being that you could take the rest home with you. There is also no robber plate. Worst service we have had so far. Even in a brewery in Cologne there were no problems. This was the first visit for us and unfortunately probably the last visit unless the service improves. Dogs are also not allowed.

We were there for the first time with 8 girls. The food, location, cleanliness and service were top. However, we found it much too loud there. Almost had to shout at each other to talk. Music and overall volume are just way too loud. We were there for almost 3.5 hours.

If you come to Kepen you absolutely must stop here. Certainly not for the service which calmly leaves something to be desired, server very cold, stressed and not at all attentive to the table, I had to ask for my drink 3 times while all the table was already served. However, the cuisine is just excellent and the setting is magnificent. Everything is littered with sand and the playlist makes you believe that you are in the sunny islands and not in an industrial zone in the depths of Germany. Don't miss out on this opportunity to eat well. Very VALUE FOR MONEY 🤜🏾🤛🏽

Fantastic. The ambience surprised us as soon as we entered. You actually walk on sand, that was great. Otherwise very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and taken straight to our table (I recommend making a reservation in advance, as it was already very busy at 5:30 p.m. and was getting more and more crowded). You can place your order by pressing a cube on the table, walking very close to the cube with your smartphone or simply asking the waitress. Great concept, which - from my point of view - works great. So, selected and ordered food. After about 10 minutes it was already there. Really well presented, large portions and... very, very tasty! When the drink was empty in between, I simply ordered a new drink on my smartphone and the new drink arrived straight away after 2 minutes. I was thrilled. All in all, a great restaurant with nice decor, great staff, innovative ideas on how to bring service and technology together and incredibly good cuisine! We'll definitely be back, thank you very much!

Were there with 8 people for the Christmas party this evening. We were very satisfied with the food and drinks, unfortunately there were several items on our bill that we hadn't ordered. We pointed this out to the waiter. There was no apology and he didn't want to give us enough money back. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Maybe the employees should be better trained on how to deal with guests.

We went there on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation and got a spot straight away. A nice ambience with the sand on the floor. A little vacation in everyday life. The service was friendly, courteous and quick. The food was tasty and a large portion. We chose the schnitzel. The fries were crispy and the sauce for the schnitzel was served in a small jug. Definitely worth a visit.

Very cool staging of the bar where the floor is covered with sand, as the name suggests. Of course you shouldn't go there with flip flops or a beach towel because it's also a good restaurant. The food tastes good and the selection is good, but the price, in my opinion, is a bit too high and prevents it from getting a top rating. But nonetheless, you should have eaten here.

We have known the restaurant for over 14 years and enjoy eating there. The children can paint in the sand if they get bored. Unfortunately, there are no small items on the menu and you are not allowed to share a dish even if you are not very hungry. That was a bit disappointing.

There were 4 of us there; only bread with spread as a starter; The main course was grilled plates, salad punch and baked potatoes; everything was very tasty and plentiful; Service was good, only stopped by irregularly; when Cube was pressed, it worked fine; very nice with the sand in the hallway; There is a lot of draft when you sit in the winter garden through the window slits; Price: performance is ok; Campari orange not recommended, very watery and little Campari; Aperol was much better.

We had dinner with four people on a Saturday evening and were there for the first time. The bar was full to the last table. We were greeted very friendly at the door and shown to our pre-booked table. Our orders were processed quickly and we were also able to reorder online from the table. Everything is great! Everything is always super friendly. We had a great evening at the Sandbar and can really recommend it. By the way, you can easily park in front of the door. There is plenty of free parking space. Top bar with very friendly staff! 💫👍

Very interesting restaurant. In addition to the really good food and the nice service, the restaurant is designed in a beach atmosphere. The cocktails are delicious and fit the approach. Even beach sand covers the entire floor of the interior, even though it is in the middle of the commercial area. Still, cool idea.

Henry's Sandbar is something special: the floor is actually sand. An advantage for children when playing, many even have beach toys with them. The food is good, we had two burgers. Well fried and well topped. Unfortunately the buns aren't tight enough. I would like more classic buns here. Nevertheless, very tasty and recommended. The cocktails are also delicious. I would say nothing extraordinary in terms of food and drink, but the quality and quantity are completely sufficient. It's worth a visit.

Super Bad reception, arrogant and unfriendly. In any case, you have lost loyal regular customers. Despite the comment that we only wanted to sit for half an hour to order a coffee and dessert and were prepared to order a starter just to make you happy (afternoon and half of the restaurant was empty), we were told the concept wouldn't allow it to give us a table. We clearly won't be coming again.

A dream! How am I supposed to write this without it seeming exaggerated... But there's just no other way. It's PERFECT! We ate here for the first time on August 3rd, 2024. I ordered a grill plate and it was fried to perfection! (You will first be asked how you would like your meat). The girls and guys from the service are quick, incredibly friendly but not fake, and very cleanly dressed. Drinks are super tasty, served quickly and beautifully presented. As mentioned, the meat is fried to perfection and seasoned to perfection, the herb butter is a dream, the fries are crispy and soft on the inside. We liked it so much that we ate here again on August 11th and this visit was again absolutely perfect! We will come back often and with pleasure! I would like to give 10/5 stars 🤣💖

On the subject, this wasn't our last visit; That's how my wife and her friend were on Saturday August 3rd. as a guest and there were again 5 stars with a standing ovation for Henry's Sandbar. Henry's Sandbar is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Food and drinks - especially the homemade lemonades - are delicious. It should always be reserved. We'd love to come back.

Spent a lovely evening on the balcony with two adults and two children. Food and cocktails total €110 The price and performance are right! We will be back.
