Yesterday, we got two chicken halves to take away because we were so craving them. They were the most horrible chickens we've ever eaten. Dry to the bone!!!!!! They looked good from a distance, but not crispy at all. Damn it, I might as well throw €20 out the window. This place should be shut down. Enjoy! I'm still throwing up today. How do you get rid of such a bad taste? Yuck!

For the second time, I got half a chicken to take away, which was clearly not fresh and had a very strong "smoke." Although I've known the Wienerwald for a long time, I'll probably avoid it in the future. In my opinion, that's completely unacceptable; I find it cheeky.

I highly recommend these awesome burgers. They're available for delivery or for on-site pickup. They're equally delicious. Good service, €15 plus a meal. The burgers are very juicy and delicious. Ibrahim, a very nice guy :D

I can't complain about the food. The chicken and schnitzel are great. The drinks are really bad. I order mineral water and it comes in a glass. Half a liter of tap water is brought. There's a small argument with the waitress. "We don't have any mineral water."

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We ordered a set meal that, according to the menu, included a dip of our choice. Nevertheless, we had to pay extra for the sauce – and we were even told we weren't even allowed to choose the sauce ourselves. When we wanted to cancel the sauce because it wasn't agreed upon, the employee simply rudely said it wasn't possible anymore – we'd have to wait until the manager arrived. No solution, no concessions, just rude replies. That's not how you treat paying guests. We feel ripped off and will definitely not be coming back.

If you want a quick chicken meal, this is the place to go. I'm usually satisfied with the food. The quality varies from time to time. Sometimes the skin on the grilled chicken is really crispy, as it should be, sometimes it's mushy. The coleslaw is very good.

We discovered this restaurant by chance: We were surprised by the bright, stylish interior. The food is freshly prepared and delicious, and the portions are generous. We had the chicken with various side dishes, of course; we'll order it again next time! The espresso and desserts were great. The attentive and friendly service was particularly pleasant. :) We definitely recommend it. Great service, the children were fed in minutes and everything was thought of. The dogs were given water and treats. The food was very good, all around top-notch!

3rd world "dining" experience. The staff didn't speak a word of German (or English), and insisted we speak either Arabic or French. Exactly what country does he think he's in? We basically ran from this place. How can such a place be allowed to function in Munich?

A very cozy restaurant with excellent food. The atmosphere is relaxed but not boring, and they offer typical southern German dishes and drinks. The staff is very friendly and always ready to bring a fresh round of beer. My favorite dish: Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) They also offer a variety of hot and cold drinks and homemade desserts.

The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and served quickly. Unsurprisingly, Spaten beer is available on tap, and there's something for everyone when it comes to drinks. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. The location, right on the main street and near the subway, is very convenient, but a bit distracting in the well-kept beer garden. But that's just nitpicking at a very high level; we would come back anytime.

Beautifully restored, the restaurant serves Bavarian cuisine that could be described as slightly upscale. So far, everything has been consistently good to very good. Prices are reasonable for Munich. Service has been consistently friendly. The atmosphere, both in the beer garden and in the restaurant, is cozy.

Bavarian tradition is well respected, the restaurant offers all regional dishes, even Moroccan 😍 when I am nearby, I like to go there, I recommend it

We visited Hendlglück in Laim for the first time and immediately fell in love. Fast, very friendly service, and the food was also very good. Very good value for money. Absolutely recommended for Munich. We'll try the beer garden tomorrow.

5 stars – My favorite restaurant in Munich! For me, Hendlglück is the best restaurant in all of Munich. The prices are absolutely fair, especially considering the quality of the food and beer. The beer is a dream – fresh, drinkable, and exactly what you'd expect from a real Munich Helles. The food is also excellent: hearty Bavarian cuisine, as it should be. I would especially like to highlight the staff – always friendly, attentive, and cheerful despite the often full house. An all-around successful blend of tradition, coziness, and enjoyment. I always enjoy coming back!

Reservation was uncomplicated. We were assigned a table immediately upon entering. The waiter who served us did his job!! Drinks were brought immediately, food was also very good. And he was behind the fact that empty glasses were immediately replaced with full ones. He spoke the Bavarian language... very personable! He earned the tip. Ambience simply quaint. Gladly again!

Cash only for years. Addendum: If you pick up something here via ToGoodToGo, you'll get ripped off. You get the cheapest food that's not even old enough to be saved because they don't serve anything here after 9 p.m. Currywurst is then freshly made, and without any curry sauce. Disgusting

We took a chicken with us, opened it at home, and discovered that the meat beneath the skin was completely dried out—it was brown, and half of it was inedible. It's ridiculous to still be selling something like that.

We've lived in Munich for over 30 years and went there last night for the first time, only because we couldn't get a table at our favorite Augustiner restaurant. Our expectations were rather low, and the food was more like it came from an assembly line. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The manager at the reception was incredibly friendly, professional, and lightning-fast. We got a very nice table from which we could admire the beautiful, Christmas-decorated room. The waiter who served us was equally friendly and never made us feel the stress that would normally be present. We all ordered roast chicken, complete with fried potatoes and salad, and it blew us away. The chicken was fresh and juicy, the sauce perfect—simply heavenly. Many thanks to the kitchen and all the staff for a lovely, very cozy evening! We would love to come back.

Something pathetic. I went in because of the "O'Zapft is" offer (Mass Wiesnbier, Hendl and Breze). The Mass Beer: Weissbier!! After the complaint: Mass ordinary Helles. The Hendl was ok, it was definitely not dry. The seasoning? You are welcome to keep the advertised "secret recipe" to yourself. Just a common recipe. The fries we ordered were good. However, if fries are ordered separately, you can expect ketchup and mayo plus salt to be placed on the table.

Have ordered for delivery. After more than 3 hours (in which there were more calls, the operator said it would arrive in 20 minutes) our order still hadn't arrived. Due to personal appointments, we picked up the food ourselves. We did not receive any delivery costs refunded or anything else even when asked. There was no apology or anything. Just a saying that went like this: We usually make it on time, you were just unlucky today! I don't think you need to say anything more about this restaurant 😂

I was in the street snack bar with my mother about an hour ago, we got something to eat there, I can't recommend it to anyone, the cashier didn't speak a word of German, he was very unfriendly, I asked if I could use the toilet, I was there too and I've never seen such ugly toilets in my life, the entire toilet rim is full of shit, toilet seat full of piss, disgusting, absolutely disgusting, this shop is supposed to be a chicken house and then I see inside, the Moroccan furnishings don't fit together at the back and front, I absolutely can't recommend it

Because we miss the Vienna Woods so much, we came to Munich by train. You can get very close here with the S-Bahn. It was wonderful to finally be able to eat in a “Wienerwald” again. It brought back a lot of memories, the food was wonderful, the nice and hard-working staff did everything right! If everything stays like this, we will definitely come back! 100% recommended!

No longer what it used to be, we waited another 25 minutes in the restaurant for the Hendlbox despite having ordered in advance by telephone. There was nothing going on but the kitchen staff was totally unprepared and disorganized. Things went much better back then. I can't recommend it more...

So for the third time I tried to buy a grilled chicken and every time I was disappointed. This time I bought a whole chicken that turned on the spit. What can I say, very bad, inedible, the chicken from the day before was warmed up and it tasted so good every time. I can only advise you to go to Leonrodstrasse to Hendl Glück, the chicken tastes fantastic. Never again almost 17 euros and then such rubbish. Never puke again.

We ordered a total of 3 menus, with each menu including fries. There were maybe 10 of the fries on each plate, which is far too little when you consider that you pay just under €4 for them (alone), so the fries might be worth it Small children suitable in the crowd. Our schnitzels were thin and the breaded part fell off the meat as soon as we cut it, which was a shame. In other places you get really better plates for the money. Two weeks ago we were in another pub where the food was an 11 out of 10 and we paid €5 more than in the shop. Unfortunately not worth the money

As tourists working in Munich, this time we took the tram and subway all over Munich to avoid the Munich Marathon. At some point I got hungry and looked in the Google search engine. “Hans im Glück” a few meters away. We set off and stood in front of “Hendl im Glück” (Bavarian-Moroccan cuisine) and that was our lucky lunch. Chicken with fries and salad, cola, juice. The innkeeper recommended a mint tea for us afterwards. About the ambience: A long time ago this was probably a real German pub with 70s charm. Terribly old furniture. German pop music plays far too loudly and intrusively in the background. About the host: The two Moroccan young men are very attentive, hospitable and know their craft. About the food: The fries are good, great fries. The chicken is so delicious!!! Skin is crispy, meat is very tender and well cooked. Good to lick your fingers. Definitely try it! The salad tastes great thanks to the dressing. Finally, the mint tea: a joy and delight. Price: Everything is reasonable, in the middle price range. Conclusion: Treat yourself to the chicken here, it's worth it. Warm greetings from Frankfurt and Bremen.

The new extremely hospitable owner Ibrahim showed us the restaurant with its beautiful new Moroccan ambience. There are Bavarian and Moroccan dishes that we would also like to try. Absolutely great!
