I had a very pleasant stay in the Hempels bar. The food was surprisingly good and interesting (I had the Hempels Vegetarian Burger). The servings are generous. The staff were really friendly and the waitress has a very good level of English. The atmosphere was welcoming and made me feel relaxed. I enjoyed myself.

The special burger was very delicious and had apple slices, pesto sauce and pumpkin chutney, plus the bun was fresh and the fries were crispy wedges. The craft beer, iced tea, ketchup, and even the brownie dessert were flavorful and made for an enjoyable and tasty dinner.

From the very first moment, we felt incredibly at home! We, and especially our dogs, were warmly welcomed, immediately treated as equals, and we felt as if our needs were immediately the focus of attention, without being the focus. The food: fresh, the best regional produce, you can simply taste it. The variety of burgers – someone here knows their craft, that's not an everyday occurrence, and the burgers and sides are really, really good! And then the bartender, Jens, charming and an expert in his field 💪 The best Aperol we've ever had 😍😍, so we went back the next day for some incredibly delicious cocktails. What can I say, you just feel at home here! And the food and drinks are worth every cent, and the service even more so!

For me, Hempels was the best burger place in Erlangen. Unfortunately, the quality has declined. The burger was served rare, and the wedges were served without salt. The burger patty was cooked medium-rare and assembled in a half-decent bun. As compensation, I got gummy bears afterward. For this price range, you should expect consistent quality.

Very, very tasty burgers – I especially like the BBQ burger. The portion sizes are also quite generous. Sure, burgers are always expensive, but here you get value for money – both in terms of quantity, taste, and quality. Very suitable for vegetarians and vegans – every "meat" burger is available in a suitable adaptation. The numerous homemade lemonades, iced teas, and cocktails are also very tasty, and some are served in a modern, creative Erlenmeyer flask. The glass straws are also a big plus – no paper that dissolves. The service is very friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is great. The ketchup and mayo are even homemade (and free) and aren't quite to my taste, but they are very high quality and that's the only (completely subjective) minor drawback. Overall, one of my top two burger restaurants in Erlangen. Highly recommended!

The burgers were great and really filling, unlike other places I've been to. There were a lot of vegetarian options and the staff were very happy to make adjustments to suit our preferences. The service was excellent - really couldn't have been better. When we mentioned we'd share two burgers they offered to serve them already halved and in general just anticipated our needs, making it a really pleasant experience. I'd definitely go there again.

Good burgers, in particular the specials, plenty of drink options as well. Alert, friendly, overall good service. For my taste a little bit too much on the pricier side (ca 15 for a burger without sides). Good, solid option for a dinner.

We went out to eat today and were absolutely thrilled! The service was incredibly friendly; we haven't been greeted so pleasantly and warmly in a long time. We had the Weltbummler Burger, the Chili Cheese Burger, fries, and a homemade peach iced tea. Everything was truly delicious, the fries were nice and crispy and perfectly seasoned. Our dog was also immediately given water and made to feel very welcome, a huge plus! Verdict: Absolutely worth a visit; we'll definitely be back.

The hamburger wasn't good. The patty was very dry and tasted of nothing, and the sauce wasn't good. I don't understand the good reviews....

Dare I say the best burger I’ve had in Germany. Was very impressed with the quality and fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff that were happy to accommodate our specific requests. We will definitely be back again!

Very much like Hans im Glück: Burgers, fries, and drinks. Staff was friendly, but the rest was mediocre: Mixup in the orders, one portion of fries undercooked and without any flavor, and sitting with empty drinks through dinner without anyone noticing. Staff asked about the fries in the end, but didn't feel inclined or empowered to take them off the bill. Not bad, but I wouldn't go again.

Always amazing burgers at Hemples. The service was a bit off on this visit, having to hunt down the staff a few times. Cool place and very central location. Sounds a bit odd, but the bun is the key to a great burger: you cannot have it fall apart, but it needs to be sturdy. Hemples does is great. Homemade dressings and unique beer selection from the villages in the area is a nice touch.

I haven't had such good burgers in a long time. The service was also very attentive. Unfortunately, the seats by the window aren't that comfortable, so the ambiance loses a star. But I'll definitely be back for more burgers!

We went to Hempels for the first time today. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves on a Friday afternoon. The staff was super nice and attentive, even bringing extra napkins for our child ;-), and special requests were no problem either. The burgers were large and truly fantastic! We all loved them. We'll definitely be back. :-)

Super friendly, personable staff and very chic decor. You feel very comfortable inside, and it's beautifully and comfortably designed, and the decor fits together perfectly. The food is delicious and all sourced from high-quality farms. For vegetarians, there's also a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan burgers with different petties. And if you want a different burger but don't have the desired petty, you can swap it for another one. For example, if you want the non-vegetarian burger, vegetarians can opt for one of the three delicious vegetarian petties instead. 🍔 The burgers are so big that you're guaranteed to be full, and if you really don't have room for them, there are delicious sides and desserts. 🍟 The drinks are always delicious too. 🍹 Highly recommended

The Hempels has slowly but surely developed into the hub of all the activities of our group of friends. Do you want to go out to eat together? HEMPELS Someone is celebrating their birthday? HEMPELS Are you looking for a place for your first date with your dream woman/man? HEMPELS Regardless of your life situation, the Hempelsburgers are 100% the right answer to all the tormenting questions of human existence. The first bite always feels like seeing a good friend again after years of separation. The staff is a smooth 10/10. Highly recommended, even for vegetarians.

Burger Restaurant Imim Factory style. Good and tasty burgers, regularly changing beer specialties. Nice selection from citizens, my personal favorite is the BBQ burger.

Very tasty cheeseburger. The homemade iced tea and lemonade were great. Finally, a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and espresso were the crowning glory. Service was great 👍

Unreservedly recommended. A fluffy burger bun is the framework for a 200g (?) patty that is grilled to perfection. No Hempel's burger was particularly good because the goat cheese was balanced out by cucumbers - mega. The fries were great, the beer was great, the service was really great. I'll be back!

Great evening, best burgers and great service! We made a reservation for 7 people and were able to enjoy regional beer from Franconian Switzerland after expert advice. The local breweries change frequently, so that you can always try a different pearl of Franconian brewing on repeated visits. When you place your food order, you are informed about the monthly changing special burgers, which are put together with great finesse and are a great alternative to the standard burgers. The menu also offers very good long-running favorites that you can order again and again. From vegetarian to low-carb, there is a culinary treat for almost everyone. Our point about an intolerance was also gladly heeded and we were offered alternatives. Our burgers were served to us about 15 minutes later. The portion size is definitely commensurate with the price and no one went hungry. The taste of the burgers was beyond any doubt and we can recommend the cheese, BBQ, globetrotting and Göndir burgers to everyone! The service was top and always had a relaxed attitude without being intrusive. If I had to point out one point of criticism, it would perhaps be the unwarmed plates. But otherwise it was a successful evening with great food in an exciting atmosphere. Thank you, gladly again!!!

I ordered 1 burger including delivery. Burger arrived just wrapped with paper without proper packaging. It was almost completely cold. The burger itself wasn't good either. Fleisch & bacon was not at all comparable to other burger shops in Erlangen. Plus a price of €17 for 1 burger without fries!... never again! No recommendation.

Very nice atmosphere, great service. But the food left a lot to be desired. The burger was red, directly raw ground meat, we complained, asked them to please return it and they gave us back the same thing we delivered. We couldn't eat it, and when we reported it, the employee's attention was fantastic, but they didn't even (even though they saw the burger uneaten) give a discount on it. We would only come back for the beer and potatoes. There are better burgers in town, or at least you won't die from eating raw ground beef.

Today again Hempels-Burger - our favorite burger restaurant. There are delicious burgers and fries here and once you've tried all the burgers, there are special burgers that change every month - sometimes vegetarian, sometimes with meat - but always delicious. First of all, the service was very good. The rest is horrible. We had 2 burgers with veggi patty. This patty was inedible. It had no taste and what's more, it completely fell apart. The burger bun tasted like it was from the day before. This was also completely dry. The sauces also had no taste. Heinz mayo and ketchup would have done more. Overall, the burger didn't taste like anything, on the contrary, it tasted bad. Considering the burger cost €15.9, it was an absolute disaster. Not a recommendation, but the employee was really nice. Would like to give 0 stars.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den herausragenden Service – das Personal war super freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns wirklich jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Man hat sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Perfect for small groups after work! The lemonades taste great and come in very unusual flavors :) The fries/wedges are, as usual, super tasty and crispy - just like Hempels. The selection of vegetarian and vegan burgers is also good, there are 4 of them, 2 of which are vegetarian and 2 of which are vegan (possible). My favorite burger is the Miami Rice: It's super hearty and fruity, with lots of salad and fresh ingredients. Although this one could be a little spicier, I liked it a little better with my colleagues in Nuremberg. Nevertheless, I am very happy that Erlangen has also been able to enjoy a really good burger shop :) Gladly again! PS: The monthly special burgers are a wonderful idea.

Ended up here by chance on a Tuesday evening and was pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and humorous, absolutely accommodating. The burgers were really a dream (vegi) - super tasty and totally recommended for the special price! We will definitely come back!

The service was very friendly and competent. The dishes outside the normal menu were also very well presented. The ambience is simple but very nice and invites you to linger. The burgers, also vegan, were very tasty.

Service was bottomless. It took ages to serve, one burger took 15 minutes longer than the rest. Unfriendly service was a catastrophe, permanently billed and complications. Paying took 15 minutes. Urgently needed new service force. We were served by a lady with a nose piercing. It's a shame it had more potential!!! The rest of the team is very competent.

The burgers are pretty decent, no great shakes. The bun is toasted well and it’s sauced up good. Lots of fresh veggies are also used. The wedges were delicious and crispy. The service is pretty damn good, staff is super friendly and one of them excitedly told me that his wife takes care of the orchids in the restaurant when I complimented him on it. The atmosphere is great for a get together with friends and some drinks. Definitely recommend for a group event.

The service was very friendly and accommodating. The burgers were delicious and reasonably priced. The fries were also great, plus free ketchup and mayonnaise. The coleslaw was also delicious, but it wasn't a classic coleslaw but rather a coleslaw. Unfortunately we weren't happy with dessert. The brownie was very small and dry. Plus the scoop of ice cream and a total of 6 euros was unfortunately too much for too little for us. Unfortunately, the dessert burger offered was also not worth the 6.50 euros. The drinks are reasonably priced, but the glasses are sometimes very small and therefore not full. Overall, however, we were satisfied.

Had a great evening with friends. I ate the vegan Budda Burger with vegan cheese. Absolutely recommended. Patty 10 out of 10, even if a little crumbly. Fries nice and crispy. Good selection of drinks.
