We were there as a club (10 people). They initially refused to confirm our reservation over the phone, as we only wanted to order coffee and cake, not a full meal. Then they apparently changed their minds. The waiters were almost pushy and annoying. At 4:15 p.m., they repeatedly reminded us that the table would be available again from 5:00 p.m. onwards. That's not what I call friendly. For us, it was the first and last time. We are a local club looking for a new place to eat. Sorry, but not with us.

Noise pollution from leaf blowers from our own service.

To cut a long story short, that was nothing. Outrageous prices, 15 counted French fries. 3 small pieces of meat. No vegetables. My plate was empty. Honestly. That's unacceptable for, among other things, 28 euros. I went home hungry. They charged 1 euro for mayonnaise. Rude. That was the last straw. The reaction from my table neighbors was identical. Annoyed waiters, and no atmosphere inside. The tables outside are uninviting. That was the first and last time. I wouldn't recommend it.

My husband's grilled platter was good. The mushroom schnitzel, on the other hand, was not. Instead of pork schnitzel, I had a breaded turkey schnitzel from the deep fryer with, I think, a ready-made sauce for an extra charge. When paying, I was asked if I could pay in cash instead of by card. After I insisted on paying by card, I was asked again if I didn't have enough cash on me. In the end, however, the card payment was accepted. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us.

Prices beyond good and evil – here you're only paying for the location; the quality of the food, the portion size, and the service don't deserve these hefty prices!

We were looking for a country inn and found it there.

A beautiful restaurant with a large, shady terrace. Attentive, fast service. We found the meat quality of the "half and half" dish mediocre, but the salad from the buffet, which is included in the price, was a plus. The mandatory 0.5-liter drink size on the terrace is a bit reminiscent of "only pitchers outside" and is still unacceptable even these days (exceptions are made for children, of course). It worked for us, but that certainly doesn't hold true for everyone.

We ordered takeaway food from Heimingshof for a group – and we are absolutely thrilled! The coordination with Valentina was excellent: warm, attentive, and super professional. We would especially like to highlight Alex's service, who was not only absolutely punctual, but also exceptionally friendly and courteous – making guests feel truly welcome. The team's flexibility and the wide selection of dishes were first-class. We were thrilled with the quality and taste of the dishes. The beef fillet in the delicious sauce was a real highlight and exceeded all expectations. We also greatly appreciated the excellent value for money and the generous portions. We would order from Heimingshof again at any time and highly recommend it!

We arrived at Heimingshof on our road bikes/gravel bikes and wanted to find a quiet spot on the side of the road to park our bikes against a wall for a bit. Since we didn't have a lock with us (our fault, we realize that), we wanted to at least keep an eye on them. Before we even arrived, however, an employee shouted at us across the parking lot: "Bikes aren't allowed there." A normal greeting or a brief conversation at eye level would have been perfectly sufficient—perhaps we could have found a different solution together. As it was, we felt neither welcome nor well-treated. Instead of being friendly, we were immediately met with a rude tone. This really spoiled our mood, and we decided to move on. Too bad—first impressions count, and we certainly won't be coming back.

I only had a drink. Was outside in the beer garden. Absolutely beautiful. The portions I saw weren't for amateurs.

Nice atmosphere, even with children. The service has been completely overwhelmed for years. Drinks take a very long time to arrive. Of the eight meals ordered, two arrived incorrectly, and one only arrived after repeated requests, when everyone else was already finished. But the food was very tasty.

A wonderful Balkan/steakhouse restaurant in the Hullern/Haltern district. Anyone who loves authentic Balkan cuisine will love this place, with a good selection of steaks and seasonal dishes (currently fresh chanterelle mushrooms). A wonderful and spacious beer garden surrounded by greenery, with attentive and very friendly service. Köstritzer and Bitburger beer are available on tap, and the wine selection certainly has room for improvement. Overall, a "place to be"—we'll be back.

Today I ate here for the first time in years. The Heimingshof used to have a very good reputation and was always full. I was a bit skeptical because I'd recently stopped by for a drink while out for a walk. But after 10 minutes, there was still no order, and we left empty-handed. Okay... back to today's visit. The location is beautiful. I can't comment on the ambiance inside, as I was sitting in the beer garden...the servers were quick and friendly. The food and drinks came quite quickly. The fries were crispy and delicious, the Djuvec rice could have used a bit more seasoning. The cevapcici definitely came from the convenience store, but they were okay. Some of the meat was a bit tough and undercooked. The bacon was unfortunately a bit cold and not really crispy. For the prices, I honestly expected something better. Overall, good, but definitely not good enough for me to visit again.

I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant! The ambiance is very cozy and inviting. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, making our stay truly enjoyable. The food was simply fantastic—fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. The prices are reasonable for the quality and service. I visited this restaurant for the first time as part of a birthday party. There were 12 of us. I think we ordered 9 different dishes. All 12 dishes arrived at the table at the same time. The service was attentive and friendly. All the dishes were impeccable and delicious. I would eat there again. I liked it.

The Heimingshof truly impressed us with its delicious Balkan cuisine and beautiful beer garden! The dishes were fresh, authentic, and prepared with love. Yes, it can get crowded on weekends when the weather is nice—especially when there are lots of people out and about enjoying the sun. But that also shows how popular the restaurant is and ultimately speaks volumes about the high quality. Of course, there may be some waiting times, but that's human nature—and we shouldn't forget that the team can't be everywhere at once. A negative experience shouldn't last forever. Everyone has a stressful day sometimes—that shouldn't be a reason not to give a great place a second chance. We'd definitely be happy to come back! 😊

Went to Heimingshof for lunch today. After 45 minutes asked if the food was lost. People wanted to ask. 15 minutes later asked the boss again. He just said something. The staff seemed totally overloaded to us. Was totally disappointed because we knew the Heimingshof from other visits. Then we left without paying for the drinks.

Attention: Aggressive behavior towards guests – never again! ★☆☆☆☆ We went to the restaurant with our child today. Yes, it was full - but we had to wait almost 30 minutes before anyone came to our table, despite repeated requests. It then took a total of 1.5 hours until the food came. One dish was completely forgotten - apparently the kitchen overlooked it. When we asked to cancel this dish, they suddenly said it was “no longer possible” because it was now on the grill. So we ate so the rest wouldn't get cold - while one person had to keep waiting. When the dish finally came, it wasn't as ordered: wrong side dish, supposedly a mistake by the junior manager (our waitress) When we politely asked whether we could simply leave the dish out after all the circumstances, the junior boss escalated completely: He aggressively tore the plate off the table, shouted throughout the entire restaurant, “Then YOU won’t eat anything here!”, came physically threateningly close to the guest and became so aggressive that it was really frightening for us. He accused us of insulting him - which was absolutely not the case - and shouted: "Then get up! We'll sort it out!" – openly threatening, as if a physical confrontation was about to break out. We have never experienced such a charged, physically threatening situation in a restaurant. I have worked in the catering industry myself - I know stress, full tables and irritated nerves. But behavior like this is dangerous, disrespectful and completely unacceptable. Luckily, another employee intervened, who was calm and friendly. He finally took the court off the bill - but even then: no apology, no accommodation, no insight. Conclusion: Food is secondary - the junior's aggressive and violent behavior was the real shock. For us: absolutely never again. And we strongly advise anyone who wants to eat out with family or children to do so.

We had been there several times before the fire and always ate everything correctly! There were two of us there today and we wanted to sit outside! There was a free table for 6 with two people, we asked if we could sit there?!! It was agreed, as we were sitting, a waiter came and said we had to sit somewhere else as the table was being kept free for a larger group (in case a group came, so it wasn't reserved)! So the table remains empty even though we would have liked to have left money there🤷‍♀️! The respective 1 star was given because we unfortunately couldn't rate it! We stopped somewhere else and had a delicious meal👍😃 in Haltern there are enough restaurants where you can go to eat, we won't be coming back🥴

As always, a nice place to eat. But on Sundays you can forget about it. After 45 minutes there was still no service. If you don't have enough staff, you should occupy fewer tables.

Highly recommended restaurant where customer requests are taken into account. The food is plentiful and very tasty. There is a salad buffet where you can always take something. Highly recommended for people with allergies, as gluten intolerance, for example, is also addressed here and the staff is also knowledgeable. We will definitely come back. 👍😀

The meat was dry, the imperial vegetables (frozen) were cold, my son had a hair in his vegetables. The fries were ok. Maybe we caught the wrong day. We wouldn't eat there again. Price performance ratio is not right at all. For the price you can expect more quality. But the staff was very nice.

After a small renovation after a fire, this Balkan restaurant shines in new splendor and the result is really impressive! The interior is stylish and cozy, but especially when the weather is nice, it's worth taking a seat in the beer garden where you can enjoy the great atmosphere. The staff is incredibly warm, attentive and always in a good mood - just like the boss, who impresses with a lot of passion and hospitality. - The food is, as always, a delight: authentic Balkan cuisine, freshly prepared and full of flavor. You simply feel good here! Definitely worth recommending – nice to have you back!🥰

Very attractive and beautifully located location as an excursion restaurant ideal for drivers and cyclists. Very friendly staff and delicious food and drinks. Particularly appealing when the weather is nice is the guest garden sheltered by shady trees after an enjoyable bike ride around Lake Haltern.

Finally open again! Was there again with my wife. It's even better than before, warm welcome and excellent cuisine. The redesign was successful, modern and yet cozy. We're already waiting for the warm season to spend time in the beer garden!

We were there unannounced on Sunday in the best weather with 7 people and three large dogs. We were given a fabulous table, had a very tasty meal and were served excellently. You don't find a service like this often anymore. We'd love to come back. Many thanks to the super nice waiter of Greek origin.

After visiting the Haltern reservoir, you can stop off in the beer garden in a cozy atmosphere and enjoy a cool drink and a sumptuous (French Yugoslavian) meal. Recommended

The location is great. From there you can go on beautiful hiking tours or cycle along the Hullern reservoir. The indoor and outdoor areas are both very large and designed to accommodate many guests. The toilets are a bit old. Unfortunately our service was a bit unfriendly and inattentive. The food was okay, but nothing more. The prices are also ok. You can stop here for a snack and a drink, but nothing more.

The atmosphere is very nice and the staff was also very nice. The portions were excessively large for the price, which unfortunately was also noticeable in the quality of the meat. The meat was not well seasoned and the skewer was completely mixed. The fries would have been tasty, but they were way too salty. The salad was ok. if you season it yourself with vinegar and oil, otherwise there are ready-made sauces here. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't convince us. But if you want to eat a lot for little money, this is the place for you. It's a shame actually, because the atmosphere and service were very nice.

Large beer garden with a few occupied tables (8 guests), service totally overwhelmed. Called the restaurant after 20 minutes (!), the employee was friendly and sent a colleague. He took the coffee and cappuccino order. The request for cake or cake was brusquely rejected because there were too many guests. After another fifteen minutes, in which other new guests were turned away from empty tables because it was too full (!), we left.

Beautiful ambience in nature with lots of greenery around! The food was very good, with “baked potatoes with sour cream” there was tzatziki instead of sour cream, which was irritating at first, but it was okay because we prefer tzatziki anyway. The service wasn't good! An older lady with black glasses who always reacts annoyed when you talk to her. When we wanted to pay, she turned towards us very slowly and said, “If anyone wants something, everyone wants it.” When we informed us that we wanted to pay by card, she waved angrily and said, “Come to the front with me. If you had said something, I would have been able to say it sooner." The joke was that we said at the beginning that we wanted to pay by card. This is also a way to show that you don't feel like it 🤷🏻‍♂️

The cake is from Peter's bakery and is actually of very good quality. However, we were served two pieces that were at least 4-5 days old and had probably not been kept refrigerated. I felt very bad afterwards. I'm sure I upset my stomach. I would like to strongly warn other guests...

That's what I call an announcement...2 x coffee and 2 x cakes for €16...boy...boy. And no, it wasn't an entire thermos flask (they were normal, small cups) or the entire cake tray (they were normal large/small pieces)... Sorry, but that's not just a bit exaggerated.

Everything is great! The restaurant is on Stever. You can enjoy good cuisine at fair prices in an idyllic atmosphere, and the service team is friendly and quick.

War mit meiner Freundin am 02.6.24 zum Abendessen dort.Gerichte: 54 halb und halb, 55 Grillteller spezial. 54: Fleischspiess: zäh und sehnig,Cevapcici:trocken,viel Knoblauch. 55: s.unter Gericht 54, Speck zäh und knochenartige Stückchen.Salatbuffet: Salat teilweise nicht mehr frisch.Die Salathekenkühlung beschallte uns ständig.Als Nachtisch gab es vom Haus,kostenlos u.a. einen Julischka, der so schmeckte, als wenn man diesen mit Wasser verlängert hat.Rechnungshöhe mit 2 Getränken ca.46€. Fazit: Nie wieder!

Our order was canceled by mistake. We didn't have to wait long for our food. As compensation, we received a liqueur and ice cream with strawberries and cream from the boss for dessert. Balkan restaurant, were there with a motorhome. We were also allowed to stay there overnight after we had eaten there. Staff extremely friendly. We'll definitely be back. Food is very good.

Wir können verschiedene positive Bewertung hier nicht Nachvollziehen,wir waren mit vier Personen hier Essen und kommen alle zum Gleichen Ergebnis gesalzene Preise mit Essen auf Pommesbuden Niveau. Einmal Grillteller, zweimal Schnitzel Jäger Art und einmal Spargel. Alles Note Mangelhaft! Völlig Lieblos auf dem Teller angerichtet, Hacksteak und Hackröllchen völlig ungenießbar und extrem Überwürzt nach der genauen Zusammensetzung möchte lieber keiner Fragen ,die Schnitzel völlig blass und eine Champignons Soße von Maggi! Pommes Frites abgezählt. Qualität vom Campingplatz oder Pommesbude. Wer hier höher Bewertet hat von guten bis normalen Geschmack keine Ahnung Getränke ,Kaffe und Kuchen OK Essen bitte nicht noch einmal

Food was good, you order something and the whole order comes through someone else. In addition, some dishes only arrive when everyone else has eaten them. Therefore the restaurant is good but the food doesn't arrive at the same time. You have to wait about an hour for the food.
