Been a guest at Heids for years and without exception it was always perfect. The steaks are always consistently of the highest quality and the various starters and desserts are also very good. The service is always very courteous and professional. For me the best in their segment and within the entire region. Thank you!

My birthday dinner was so special because of the service and the food. Love the bone marrow.

The steak was really of excellent quality and we couldn't fault that. However, we felt a bit disappointed with the “truffle gnocchi”. The waitress assured us that the portion would be generous - but that wasn't the case. Only 9 gnocchi were served in a bowl, for which a price of 12.80 euros was charged. We are well aware that truffles are a high-priced product, but the truffle taste was barely noticeable. Charging 1.40 euros per gnocchi therefore seems disproportionate to us. We also found it incomprehensible why when we ordered “with all the trimmings” the truffle gnocchi was charged an additional 8 euros, even though the main course already included 9.80 euros for a potato side dish. According to the menu, a potato side dish is included, but this didn't seem to apply to the gnocchi. This seemed less transparent to us and clouded the overall impression. Clearer communication and more appropriate value for money would be desirable. Greetings

Booked on line just an hour before arriving. We were lucky to get a table as they were really busy. From the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic. They were friendly, helpful and attentive.our waiter, Fabian, was excellent. The food was first class. We had prawns, salad and steaks - all cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Overall, the food was very tasty, and we also liked the ambience of the restaurant - a pleasant atmosphere, but one that was overshadowed by very disappointing service. Unfortunately the service was not at the level we expected. The waitress, an older lady with glasses and blonde hair, was unfriendly when we took the order and unhelpful when we had questions about the menu. This first negative experience continued throughout the stay. After finishing our dinner at 9pm, our table was completely ignored for over half an hour. No waiter asked us if we were ready or if we wanted anything else. Despite the waiters passing by several times and direct eye contact on our part, we felt completely overlooked and ignored. Finally I had to take action myself and call the waitress to ask to clear the dishes and bring us the bill. We originally planned to order dessert and have a coffee, but due to the lack of attention and unfriendly service, we lost our appetite. Overall, the experience was unfortunately very marred by the poor service. The restaurant has great potential, but the service desperately needs to be improved to ensure a more pleasant experience for guests.

Very original ambience, between cool and cozy, hip and traditional. Perfect service, very good food, good acoustics and unobtrusive background music. You should treat yourself to this!

Unfortunately I was disappointed for the second time. After I was here for the second time in a long time about a month ago, my impressions were very positive. However, on Sunday I had another very bad experience and unfortunately that was the last time for me in this restaurant. Two rump steaks tasted strongly of coal. One of them was far from medium rare, as we ordered. After politely formulating the experience after the meal, the waitress became defensive and claimed that it was normal for them because of the charcoal grill. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to continue talking because I was then interrupted twice. Which is why it makes me write a negative review in the first place. The crème brulee for dessert was good. And the ambience is, as usual, very nice.

Great food, professional and friendly staff. Only the spirits don't quite suit us.

Excellent steak and very friendly service

It's a very solid steakhouse. Of course it has its price, but you also get an excellent steak. I think the tapas variation is very successful. And on the open wine list there are also decent wines under €50 a bottle.

Hi, Yesterday was the 4th time a friend and I ate at your place. All three times were great. But yesterday just wasn't good at all, so we had stomach pains and cramps all night long. A sleepless night for a lot of money... quite a shame.

Once again you can enjoy perfect steaks with all the trimmings in a pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive team. From the reception to the DJ, who even played a Christmas song.

Overall, I had a good experience with this restaurant. Unfortunately, last night's visit was disappointing. The steaks and meat were badly burned. The steak was still somewhat okay, but the other meat was inedible because it was very burnt and tasted bitter. When we raised this we were told it was normal, even though it was clearly not okay. In addition, it was so warm in the corners of the restaurant due to the heating system from above that it was almost impossible to sit and eat there. Dessert and appetizer were perfect!!

Yesterday evening I was there with my companion for the first time. I can only recommend everyone to take a look there. Were very satisfied with the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Be careful with the food, you have to let it melt in your mouth. Simply TOP!

This year we went to Heidelberg twice and to Heid's Essen three times. It's just amazing there. The ambience, the food and drinks, and the service. Just great. It is my absolute favorite restaurant.

We can only afford to eat here once or twice a year but we've been doing it for about 10 years! It's not cheap but everything is just right. Meat quality, nasty and service everything was top!!!

Very, very hot meat, I like to come more often. There is still one negative, we waited a little long for the food even though there were two of us. Others came after us who ordered a lot more than us and had their food earlier. I hope next time it doesn't take so long. See you next time

Heid's is always worth a visit. The menu is dominated by meat dishes and wood-fired pizzas. The meat is extremely good, fried to perfection and comes with delicious side dishes. Here I learned that even cooked carrots can taste good, and that's saying something ;-) - When it comes to pizza, you don't have to choose a type, because there is also the option of ordering a pizza half/half: Exactly my taste. Yummy! The atmosphere is created by a DJ who plays groovy but not intrusive music. The waitresses are very friendly, attentive and also respond to special requests. Children are also welcome here. In any case, I'm happy every time I'm here again. Update: During our last visit we noticed that the service was very (very!) attentive, in our opinion perhaps a little too attentive. This seemed a bit forced and "stressful" - and we felt that the service might have been a bit under pressure. Don't misunderstand: the evening was really nice, so the 5 stars remain. But a little bit less exertion and more relaxation (like before) wouldn't hurt. :-)

Food was really great. Starter, the Manzo tonnato, was great. My entrecote was perfectly medium-rare, as requested. Unfortunately, my colleague's was a bit overdone - he had ordered it rare and it was medium. The taste is still really great. The side dishes were good. The mashed potatoes stand out again. Service was super friendly and I think it's great that you're treated in a relaxed manner. The fact that restaurants sometimes require the waitresses to behave in such an exaggeratedly elegant manner towards every customer is absolutely not my case. In any case, we were very satisfied with our visit. Keep it up!

Eigentlich wollten wir zu Besuch in Heidelberg nur lecker Steaks essen (5 hungrige Männer)... Unsere Speisen waren ausnahmslos on point (Menge, Zusammenstellung, Garpunkt) -hat uns alle sehr beeindruckt (!) - zum Essen wurde ja bereits viel geschrieben. Aber: Das Konzept, das Ambiente, die musikalische Untermalung sind so stimmig und unsere (subjektiv) Sternebedienung hat diesen Eindruck dann komplettiert. Die ein oder andere nicht nichtalkoholische Spezialität der Getränkekarte hat der guten Stimmung und unserer positiven Wahrnehmung sicher nicht geschadet und wir nehmen eine schöne Erfahrung mit und kommen sicher wieder. Dank an Küche, Bar, DJ uuuund Dani!

If you want to eat really chic and in a nice atmosphere, this is the place for you. I ate here with my family of 7 people. Everyone was very satisfied. Although different tastes. The selection of good meat is enormous. The price here is a bit high. But if you look at the quality of the dishes, it's okay. The service staff is friendly and quick, but without being hectic. Waitress very friendly, was shocked that I didn't want dessert. She also threw my parmesan on the floor and blamed me😂 My cutlery was also checked to make sure I actually ate the dessert. Will come back for the funny waitress.

A pretty stylish and pricey place, kinda surprising for its location. Service was impeccable, and the selection of beef cuts is very good. A shame that the steak then was way oversalted.

Food and service great as always. Unfortunately it was a bit drafty in the winter garden, but this was due to a problem with the air conditioning. But we were offered an alternative table and a schnapps to warm up. This is customer service.

The Oberhammer 🤩 We were allowed to sit down at Heidi's on Saturday evening. There were 4 of us and we didn't have a reservation because we weren't from the area are. Despite the full house, the reservation list was briefly shuffled around and we were allowed to take a seat. This is already a great +point from the gentleman who assigned us the place. Afterwards we continued with really great service. Salad, drinks, food, everything was top. The meat is really tender and exactly on point. I can only recommend the restaurant and thanks to the great service and the very nice location.🙏😋

Simply MEGA delicious. Definitely the most expensive steaks in HD.

A very cool restaurant that is inconspicuous from the outside, which gives the first impression that it belongs to an upper class. But that's not the case. As soon as you enter you are greeted by very friendly and courteous staff and assigned to a seat. Since we were very early and arrived without a reservation, we were very lucky to get a spot. But it's definitely better to make a reservation next time. The selection of food is very manageable, as is the selection of drinks. Of course, the prices make you swallow at first, but in return you get really good food and high-quality meat that is perfectly fried. Repetition is definitely possible.

The tapas were okay, but nothing special. Quality of the meat was perfect. Side dishes were okay, fries were too salty and the vegetables were very few. Service has clearly deteriorated. Price-performance ratio is no longer right.
