At first I was very happy after looking at the menu. It finally seemed to be Korean BBQ at a high level. When the food came, however, I was disappointed. The beef tartare came to the table almost frozen. The Secreto was claimed to be Bellota quality, but had zero acorn aroma. In general, the preparation of the meat leaves a lot to be desired, everything is laced with tendons. The silver skin wasn't removed either and I often bit on bones. The service manages to smile at most occasionally but nothing more. That would all be acceptable if the bill wasn't so high. Too expensive for the quality and service you get. It's a shame, the basic concept has tons of potential. We won't be coming back.

The BBQ is delicious, the meat is nice, pricey; I had wished for my various side dishes The vacuuming system is a bit horrible,,, the whole environment is a bit smoky The servers are nice, one Korean guy with a bit long curl hairs is a bit funny; I really like him My husband got his left knee’s skin a bit burned from the grill system under the table accidentally. Long story short, I regret having my birthday dinner here. 1. The price is horrendous for what you get. You are literally paying 30+ euros for 180g of bad quality, unseasoned meat. Sure, some side dishes are included, but they were all forced on us without prior communication. I’m allergic to crab, but it was served as part of the side dishes without any prior communication. 2. The service is horrible. One waitress threw the rice bowl on the table. A waiter set the stove wrong and burned the already small amount of meat we received. He did not apologize. Later, we asked another Korean waiter for help as the smoke got out of control, but he was reluctant. Even though we spent around 90 euros for two people, and made it clear that it was a birthday dinner, no waiter smiled or showed a nice attitude throughout. 3. The hygiene is very questionable. There were a lot of flies and small bugs on the wall and in the air, even though we were sitting indoors. The bathroom was also very dirty.

This is a restaurant. It is not good, the price is outrageous: pay 30-50 Euro for 180g of unseasoned, low quality meat you could buy for 2 Euro at any supermarket; the service personnel is unfriendly and there are no explanations or guides to cook the meat; the huge amount of side dishes comes unannounced but it’s all a rather similar and basic; the ambience was horrific, flies and bugs were on our seat from the beginning, very uncomfortable. Overall I cannot recommend the food, the price is way too bad.

Super delicious! The staff is really on the ball and friendly. Korean is probably the best way to get along in the restaurant, but English works very well. The photos are the lunch menu. There was actually a soup with it, but unfortunately I didn't take a picture of it. Really good for €15 too

A week ago I had dinner in Heidekrug with my wife for our wedding anniversary. In order to try something new, as it was unfortunately my first time, we had to be told how it worked. We were very lucky that a young employee could speak German. The atmosphere and the staff were very courteous and attentive, we felt very taken care of. The food was sensational!! We chose the meat platter for 2 and there were also side dishes that we could order again free of charge if we wished. The waiting time for our food to be brought to the table was 10 minutes We'll definitely be back :)!

When I visited last spring I found that the side dishes and meals were not as good as before, but when I visited last week I was very satisfied. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the best restaurant recommended for eating in Frankfurt.

Not bad, but was disappointed that they didn't treat a Sunday lunch as a dinner. Kimchi Jigae was a little salty... but otherwise good.

Great Korean barbecue experience at Heidekrug

If you want to eat Korean food in Frankfurt, you can go here. The taste is basic and the service is good and friendly. (In particular, the manager is really good at getting things done.) I often take my child to have a family meal, and I was impressed by how well they treated him. For lunch, you can eat a generous portion of side dishes for about 14 euros per person, and for dinner, you can grill meat over charcoal like in Korea, and it was the closest to Korean taste in the area. When you go, I recommend that you make a reservation by phone if possible. *Spacious parking lot *Comfortable *Easy communication in Korean *Children’s chairs available. *Fried squid, tteokgalbi, and egg stew are recommended!

When you want to eat Korean food there is no equal in this area. Incredibly friendly waitress and outstanding food with a huge selection of meals. They speak at least Korean and English with many waiters whom speak German and other languages as well.

Best meat and very tasty Korean food 🤩

Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired, so it can't even make the food good. After we ordered 3 large beers, the waiter came before closing time with the bill of €500 and the request to pay. We were just eating and weren't even allowed to finish our drinks. We were given plastic cups to drink our drinks outside and were thrown out. The icing on the cake is that drinks were overcharged, but we hadn't had time to talk about it anymore. With such a high bill, we would have wished we could have finished drinking. A pity!

Wonderful! was my first visit to a Korean restaurant! I was overwhelmed by the offer, the preparation and the explosion of taste! When your vacation goes back to the Taunus, We will definitely visit this restaurant again! Small addendum! In South Korea it is not customary to tip! The Heidekrug has adapted to German conditions! Delicious Korean grill restaurant. It's always full, so make sure you make a reservation!

We had dinner there this evening and had a bill of 500 euros. The store closes at 10 p.m. and we placed another drink order at 9:45 p.m. Meanwhile we were still eating. The drinks order came shortly afterwards. At 9:50 p.m. the waiter came to our table with the bill and said: we close in 10 minutes. Here is the bill, it must be paid in advance. At 9:58 p.m. we paid the bill and then asked if we could finish our drinks. Plastic cups were then placed on the table for us to refill and we were asked to leave, even though our drinks were only 1/4 full. This has never happened to us before. We were literally thrown out of the store.

Tolles koreanisches Barbecue im Heidelrug.Super Fleischauswahl mit leckere Beilagen und delikaten Saucen. Auffallend viele asiatische Gäste…war ein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Vielleicht etwas laut und ungemütlich aber das Essen macht es wieder wett.

This is a Korean restaurant that I have been frequenting for the past 2 years. It was originally a popular restaurant, but it is difficult to make a reservation these days, perhaps because it is especially popular. Today, I was lucky enough to go and eat without a reservation. The salted fish soup, kimchi stew, and pork bulgogi were still delicious.

Authentic Korean food. 1 dish for 2 can cost up to more than €80 but it is worth it. Their meats are very well chosen, they are pure quality. You may have to make a reservation. The place is very clean. It has parking and does not have much access for people in wheelchairs.

I was here with my family and was greeted with perhaps the best service I’ve had all year as well as the best Korean BBQ of all time. They changed the grill multiple time for us and even helped us with grilling. Absolutely a great time and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s in the area!

The perfect place to get my Korean fix! Love their Galbi Tang, Seokswe Bulgogi and Pork charcoal set! My kids enjoyed the noodle side dish too and I like that they serve tea for free. Will definitely come back with our visitors soon.

There are a lot of employees, but you have to grill your own meat. At that price, it's worth it. And... you have to pay a separate fee for the room. I don’t think I bought Korean food in Germany.

Friends spontaneously suggested the Heidekrug and reserved a table, which is recommended even in the middle of the week in the evening. I didn't expect Korean BBQ under the name. But we were very positively surprised and had a lovely evening. The grill is directly in the table and is powered by charcoal. You get the meat selection you ordered and can grill it to the desired cooking point. Even though it was a very meat-heavy meal, it was very tasty and the service was good. The prices are a bit high. The Heidekrug can be reached quickly by car from the Taunus or Frankfurt. There is plenty of free parking space.

WOOOOAAA!! What an experience!? I reserved a table for two people on a Thursday. That wasn't a problem, even if it was at short notice (1 hour before). We were offered both an indoor and outdoor table. We chose the Modum-gui (€87) plus 2 Cola-Zero (total €93.60) from the menu and wow! What an experience we had. This was our first visit to a Korean restaurant. The meat was fresh, noble and tender. The sauces tasted heavenly and the service was friendly. The menu left us thoroughly satisfied. My friend also really liked the soju. At the end I was also able to show the waitress the Korean words I had learned and we exchanged ideas about kDrama. Food has been tasting strange lately. The quality of the meat is bad, the liquor soup is salty, the stew is only salty, and the cold noodle soup is either filled with ingredients or just seasoning.. I used to go to this place because of the delicious food, but why has it become a perfect place except for the taste of the food?

6 waiters stand around you and none of them are working. Our bowls were empty and none of these people who are clearly eavesdropping and watching you refill them. The staff was so bored, they played rock, paper, scissors. However, they only did their job if they were specifically spoken to. The restaurant has nothing to offer in terms of atmosphere, no decoration or nice tables. Several clay vessels from which we ate/drank were already broken. And all this when you pay so much there. I won't come anymore. In addition, the banchans are made from 50 percent seafood, which I didn't know and I think is worth mentioning on the menu. We left a lot of it because we have allergies, so our Sams were only filled with simple kimchi and salad... what a shame

Since I work in a Korean company, i visits a lot of Korean restaurants.. i visited Heidekrug last on May 17th, unfortunately i must say the quality of the food is not what it's used to be, e.g. the pork of jeyuk is not grilled anymore and the sauce is what i'd say for "European" tounge. Shame since i really really like this place..

First of all, I want to correct that this is a restaurant, not a hotel. Secondly, this restaurant seems to require reservations, but we went there very early and were received directly. As for the barbecue, I think it's just average, similar to the 30-dollar meal I had in Las Vegas. Others can only be said to be quite satisfactory. I don’t know why it is rated as the ceiling of Korean food in Frankfurt. But the service is pretty good and very welcoming. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Frankfurt.

I rate the restaurant. After a short hike we were still hungry and then stopped at the Heidekrug. The review is for the restaurant. This is beautifully located and surrounded by nature. We weren't expecting a Korean restaurant. There were almost only Koreans in the restaurant, which in itself is a sign of quality in a Korean restaurant. The food was also very tasty. The prices are really cheap for the quality offered, especially for the lunch menu. The staff is unobtrusive and friendly. Despite the fact that we hadn't made a reservation, we were offered a place after a short wait. However, it is advisable to make a reservation.

It was our first time at a Korean BBQ and it was immediately impressive. The boss explained everything to us and helped us a bit with the barbecue. The food was great, very sufficient and the price was absolutely right for the quality.

Steamed Korean restaurant. to be seated Looking at the Korean customers who ignored the waiting line and proudly went ahead and took a seat without a reservation, and the manager who led those customers to their seats regardless of who waited first (he was the only one wearing a suit, so it must be the manager, right?), I felt like I was in Korea. I felt nostalgia. I had a hard time making a reservation, but it was disappointing that I was given a seat worse than a walk-in. The food was impeccably delicious. Reserved a table, drove there for 30 minutes, was shown to the seat and then: nothing. 10 minutes pass, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes. The staff is very attentive to the other tables with mostly Korean business guests, but completely ignores us. They don't even ask for drinks. So we left again - terrible service

Very tasty Korean restaurant. Not directly in Frankfurt, but easy to reach by car and there is a large parking lot. I have visited many Korean restaurants in Frankfurt and the surrounding area, but this is the best. At lunchtime (including Saturday and Sunday) the prices are completely okay, but in the evening it is a little more expensive. I like to go there again and again with my Korean wife. We recommend.

Incredibly delicious authentic Korean barbecue!

A famous Korean restaurant in Frankfurt. It is a well-respected restaurant among Koreans who miss Korean food, and it is also a place that can make a good impression on foreigners who are experiencing Korean food for the first time. Rooms and service are also decent. Since meat is the main dish, it should be delicious, but I couldn't taste the rich, rich flavor of Korean beef at all. ㅠㅠ Considering the price, it can be said that over 100,000 won per person is very disappointing for people who have just arrived from Korea. Still, the side dishes are good and the scenery around the restaurant is nice, so it's a place that does more than the basics that you can visit when you want to cheer up or entertain people.

Definitely recommended! The BBQ beef was so so nice 🤤🤤 Steamed egg also the fluffiest I’ve had so far! The fish roe just elevated the texture and flavour 🫢 Didn’t expect they serve Marinated chilli crab (raw) 🦀 as part of the free side dishes, however note that it’s not refillable. Tasted really good! The kimchi-jeon(pancake) was a little too thick for my liking but taste is on point 😬 Make your Reservation at least 3 day before (the restaurant is very full, seems like there is a high chance you get no seat by walk in). And be mentally prepare to smell like bbq after the meal, the ventilation is not that great 🌫️

So the food is really, really good. The meat is really top quality and the BBQ for two is just fun. We've been there twice now. Unfortunately, this time the communication disappointed me a bit. We tried to reserve two days in advance. It was canceled because unfortunately there would be no room for two people the whole evening, no matter what time. All right. I tried again the evening before and, with a bit of discussion, got a table for 5:30 p.m., the opening time. When we got there we were given a somewhat uncomfortable place right in the middle at a communal table. We were the first suburbs. Well, after more than an hour we spent there, half the restaurant was still free and, above all, much better seats were still available, including in the winter garden, which is much more comfortable. We sat at a large table with other guests. I was a bit disappointed then. Furthermore, it bothered me a bit that at the beginning we felt like we were being watched by 3 waitresses who were standing directly 2 meters away from us. This was probably because there were very few guests there and they simply took care of us. No bad intentions per se, but it was very uncomfortable, especially for my girlfriend. I also don't think it's that great that only English can be spoken on the phone. But then the food rips out again. But if things improve, 5 stars again.

I think this is the best Korean restaurant around here. I visited on a Sunday lunchtime. Lunchtime prices were very reasonable, and the banchan (side dishes) had a wide variety and was satisfying! Of course, the taste is also authentic Korean taste. (According to a Korean friend) There is a bus stop right next to the store, so you can get there without a car, but on Sundays it doesn't stop there and you have to get off at the bottom of the hill in front of it. Even so, you can get off at the bottom of the hill and arrive within 15 minutes on foot, so if the weather is nice, you can go there without any problems! This is a recommended store that you should visit at least once!

Ich kannte die Karte und ich gebe gerne Geld für gutes Essen aus. Leider muss ich sagen, dass das Preisleistungsverhältnis nicht stimmt. Beim Kilopreis von 200 € für das Fleisch erwartet man besseres. Auch ist es schwierig den richtig Grillgrad zu finden. Zu laut, schlechte Luft, zu grelles Licht haben keine entspannte Atmosphere aufkommen lassen. Wir waren dann froh wieder draussen zu sein. Alles Punkte die sich beheben lassen. Einfach zu teuer wenn man Fleisch oder Fisch haben moechte. Alles auf Geschwindigkeit getrimmt.

That's definitely the best Korean restaurant around Frankfurt. I always make the drive out from Frankfurt just to have the chance to eat the Kimchi jjigae here.

I ate the grill which cost around 80 euros in my opinion and taste is delicious for two people it is delicious and they bring you other small dishes that accompany the grill and plus a soup everything was delicious, the soup did not convince me but the rest was delicious the Kimchi the accompaniments are very delicious. On top of that, I arrived at around 8:30 am and they were already closing the kitchen in the establishment. They must change information on the internet in Google, why does it say at 9:30 PM that the kitchen closes, but the atmosphere was very nice, the waitresses were very friendly and offered us a very delicious sweet as a courtesy. The rest is all good, just maybe arriving earlier. The crab marinated with a very delicious special sauce is difficult to eat but very delicious and I would order it again but in general everything is good for a Korean experience

The first time I went here we ate lunch, it was very delicious! The service is kind and the side dishes offered a great variety. We also visited for dinner. The option of grilling your own meat slices was a fun experience and we got a lot of tasty side dishes. You definitely get your money’s worth here and the food is authentically Korean. I recommend coming here for lunch!

A hidden gem in Oberursel! Truly authentic and traditional Korean place, with the option to have Korean barbecue or ready-made Korean dishes. From kimchi and bulgolgi stew to bibimbap and pork ribs, there are plenty of dishes to choose from. And they all taste delicious with large portion sizes. It's highly recommended, with the place always being extremely busy or full - so always make a reservation. Despite this, their service is fast - especially to the private room dining areas. It's so nice that they have those as options!

Wir waren im Heidekrug auf Grund der guten Bewertungen. Eine Reservierung wird dringend empfohlen. Wer Lust auf authentisches Koreanisches BBQ hat, kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Das Restaurant ist nüchtern eingerichtet. Es ist ein BBQ daher riecht die Kleidung danach - trotz der Lüftung. Daher am besten nicht die besten Sachen anziehen 😉 Das Essen war gut. Uns störte eher folgendes: Der Service erklärte uns nicht was uns vorgelegt wurde (obwohl offensichtlich war, dass wir hier neu zu Besuch sind) oder wie das ganze funktioniert. Immer mussten wir fragen. Die Bar war geschlossen. Einen Aperitif konnten wir z.B. nicht bestellen. Von der Bierauswahl konnten wir nur 2 Arten von Bier bestellen und der Nachtisch war auch nur eingeschränkt bestellbar. Zu viele Unannehmlichkeiten für uns für den Preis. Punkt 21:50 Uhr wurde uns die Rechnung auf den Tisch gelegt. Das Restaurant schließt um 22 Uhr. Kartenzahlung ist natürlich kein Problem. Fazit: Authentisch ja, aber mit recht vielen Abstrichen … für einen gelungenen Abend.

Gutes Restaurant, Hauptspeisen gut, Vorspeisen könnten noch mehr und etwas authentischer oder raffinierter sein. Als Beispiel war das kimchi recht einfach und eher schnell hergestellt, ohne richtige Fermentation. Service gut, viele Koreaner:innen.

Wir waren Samstag Abends dort. Zum glück hatten wir reserviert. Es war außergewöhnlich lecker. Große sehr leckere Portionen, die unglaublich schnell serviert wurden. Gehobenes Preissegment, aber es lohnt sich absolut! Absolute Empfehlung!

Tolles koreanisches Restaurant, war sehr lecker! Die Portionen waren reichlich. Das Personal ist sehr nett! Draußen sitzen ist auch möglich, drinnen ist es etwas lauter. Leider ist das Licht im Innenbereich sehr steril und kalt.
