A very nice restaurant with exceptional service. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a table for two with our dog. The food was delicious. The fish platter and the medallions were perfectly prepared. The owner is the kind of host you'd expect, and the staff are also very attentive and accommodating. Update: The wait times are getting longer and longer. The prices are getting higher and higher...all in all, unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the great view. The glass wasn't clean...it can happen...but it was supposed to be replaced with a clean one. Unfortunately, we got the same glass back, just refilled. We complained again and received a new one. No apology, just flippant remarks. That's just unacceptable! We've eaten at Heeven twice now. The food and the atmosphere are great. The service could still be improved; everyone is very stressed...but maybe there's a lack of staff, which we can't judge, of course. The wait time was unfortunately longer than average. What we couldn't understand at all was why a handful of salad with a bit of salmon cost more than a burger that was almost impossible to finish. Everything was really delicious, but the ratio somehow didn't add up.

I didn't like my schnitzel at all. The mushroom sauce that came with it wasn't tasty either. The atmosphere was great, and my girlfriend's burger was also good.

Originally used as an alternative, but ultimately it was a hit. The service was quite good and the food very good.

First of all, I'd like to emphasize that I was there with my mother, who is wheelchair-bound due to illness, and we received a very warm welcome. There's a separate wheelchair-accessible entrance, and we were immediately greeted by a member of staff and shown to a table – we were able to sit on the terrace with a sea view, and a chair was removed for the wheelchair. We were able to order quickly, and it was also positive that many allergens are listed on the menu. The selection is extensive and poses no problem for people with dietary requirements. The server was extremely accommodating: When my coffee spilled a little during transport, he immediately offered to bring me a new one. We ended up ordering two tarte flambées, which were truly delicious. Probably one of the tastiest tarte flambées I've ever eaten :)

The first evening, the service was a bit inattentive, but on the second evening, everything was excellent and the staff was always super friendly!

We were here on August 1st with a group of 17 cyclists. Tables were set up on the terrace without any hassle, and the first beer was served right away. Great and friendly service: highly recommended.

The portions were great. The wait was too long, but the tomato soup, for example, was homemade, which somewhat justified the wait. Overall, highly recommended.

My children's and my meal were delicious. My husband's first dish was too bland. The pepper grinder was broken, and the peppercorns spilled into the dish. The first waitress didn't seem to care at all and didn't clear it away. She was very late taking our order and was extremely unfriendly and seemed listless. The waiter who took over our table saved everything—very friendly. My husband's second dish was delicious and arrived promptly. The view of the sea was wonderful.

My meal was very simple. My friend's was very good and plentiful. We sat outside, where it was somewhat sheltered from the wind. The service wasn't so good; we were overlooked. On the third attempt, we finally got the menu. Drinks also took quite a while, but I must say it was very crowded inside. Right on the dike, with a view of the beach and the sea.

Great breakfast with a view – we'd love to come back! We first came across Heewen in Dangast on Mother's Day because all the other restaurants in the area were already fully booked. Booking via the app was completely hassle-free – a real plus! And what can we say: Our spontaneous visit immediately turned into repeat visits! The breakfast is truly fantastic: a great selection, fair prices, and something for everyone. The view is a particular highlight – the view of the water makes the start to the day simply perfect. Breakfast is served from 9 to 11:30 a.m., which is a very convenient time. The owner is friendly, witty, and creates a relaxed atmosphere where you feel at home. The team is also attentive and helpful – a huge compliment! One small disappointment: When we made a table reservation on site, we specifically requested a table with a water view for 6 people. We were told this wouldn't be a problem, as the spot wasn't taken yet. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there were only four people sitting there, and we were seated in the back corner instead. That was a shame, especially because we were so looking forward to the view. Nevertheless, we feel very welcome at Heewen, appreciate the quality and relaxed atmosphere – and would definitely come back! Best, Claudi & Frank

Finally worth 5 stars again! Unfortunately, the Heeren hasn't had a good reputation in recent years. The staff is grumpy, and the food was so-so. As locals, we still went there often because the sea view is simply too beautiful. Now there's a new owner, and we were absolutely thrilled on our last visit. The owner, Deniz Yildirim, impresses with his professional restaurant experience (he grew up in a family restaurant) and his super-friendly personality. The staff is experienced in the restaurant industry, super friendly, and we felt completely at ease and well served. Things are looking up again – towards Heewen. For dinner, we had the herring plate with fried potatoes (a dream!) and tarte flambée (incredibly delicious!)

Asparagus with plaice was everything!

Unfortunately we can't say much about the restaurant. We actually just wanted to have a drink outside on the terrace on Good Friday. After no one came out, we spoke to the waitress, who said she would be there soon. Although the good lady was in frequent contact with us, she didn't think it was necessary to come out. Her colleague preferred to chat with other guests inside the restaurant. After 45 minutes we informed the restaurant that it was all over. The waitress then came to the terrace, but now our patience was at an end. You don't have to be served immediately anywhere, but after 45 minutes you can't even get a card, despite asking, that's really not possible. There are other places in town that are much faster and friendlier.

Today we had a side salad and drinks. The salad was delicious and freshly prepared. The Jever is freshly tapped and the sea buckthorn splish is deliciously mixed.

Looking for a restaurant on Good Friday we ended up at Heewen. Despite the fact that we hadn't made a reservation, we were greeted very friendly and after a short wait we were assigned a table. (The restaurant was full!) From ordering to paying, everything was absolutely great. The food was on point and very tasty. Hardly any waiting time, neither to order nor for our food. Modern restaurant with a regional menu. The food was prepared quite quickly and served hot. In terms of taste, it's in the top league, although not top class. Still worth a visit at any time. Great view of the beach, weather permitting you can also sit outside. The only point of criticism: the restaurant does not have its own toilets, you have to use the center's facilities. Unfortunately, not all visitors leave it in good condition

Unfortunately we don't know whether the food or drinks are good. The service is definitely a disaster after we sat on the veranda for 40 minutes and no one managed to bring us a card even though I mentioned the conditions we left because we didn't want to make any money!

Today we were at HEEWEN, which has had a new owner for about half a year! As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed into an appealing, clean atmosphere and shown to our seats with a view of the sea. We ordered the HEEWEN DeLuxe plate and were thrilled! From the look to the taste: Top quality! The price was also reasonable! The (new) owner was the perfect host due to his many years of gastronomy experience and his friendly, open manner! We'd love to come back!

Really great restaurant. We were there with our 4 Konders. The service was super friendly and there was even a children's menu. We would love to come back on our next vacation.

Can't recommend the store at all. We were there with the family (8 people) and each of us was disappointed with our food. 26 euros for an extremely carelessly prepared fish platter that by no means fills you up. Unfortunately, my vegan burger was also an absolute failure. Plus boring fries from the freezer. Both service staff were unfriendly and annoyed. Probably lives from walk-in customers. Never again!

Jever Fun is also available non-alcoholic on tap. Tastes delicious.

Went there spontaneously to have a little something for lunch, but our appetite was dampened by 2 stressed, unfriendly service employees. Additionally, the food was littered with sesame seeds, which spoiled the actual taste of the dish. Apart from the beautiful view there, unfortunately I can't say anything good about this location.

It's a shame about this pearl on the North Sea coast with a great panoramic view of the sea. Allocation of seats took a long time, after which we were forgotten twice. We then left the restaurant/café without ordering anything. As I said, what a shame about this pearl!

The restaurant in the middle of the beach in Dangast. The view is great, you can look directly at the water or into the mud flats when Apple is there. The service is friendly. In this case we only had coffee and tea, which was completely fine and flawless.

We were here for breakfast on an off-season Sunday; it was fantastic! Everything was very clean and fresh (we had no concerns about trying Mett too). The bacon with the scrambled eggs is wonderfully crispy. We found prices ok; Tea, coffee and juices were included. We found the thermoses at the table convenient and they were refilled promptly. The absolute highlight is the view of the Jade Bay! Priceless.

We visited Heewen as a group of 7 adults and 8 children (6 weeks - 8 years). As soon as we entered the beautiful restaurant with a great view, we realized that we weren't wanted. We stood at the entrance sign “Please wait - we will take you to the table”... and waited... and waited. After a while a waiter came to us and said “I guess I have to deal with you now”. There was no hello - nothing. We then had to wait a moment until there was enough space for us. For us that was completely ok and understandable, after all we didn't have a reservation. On the way to the table we were immediately told, “You can forget the stroller at the table.” The 6-week-old baby was sleeping, so we “smuggled” the stroller with us and put it between two chairs where it wouldn't bother anyone. We should leave the second stroller in the entrance. When we arrived at the table we waited again...at some point the waiter came back and asked table 1 what they wanted to drink and eat. When we asked if we would also get a card, the three of us were thrown onto the table from afar. Table 2 was not allowed to order... only when table 1 already had coffee was everyone at table 2 allowed to order drinks, but no ice cream or cake, because “everything in its own time”. After 45 minutes at the table (yes, children get nervous at some point), table 2 was finally allowed to order the children's ice cream - the cake for the adults only in the fourth attempt of the ordering rounds. The children's ice cream came without a spoon "everything in its own time" and the cake also came in stages and only when all the coffees were already empty. It was now 5:30 p.m. and the children went to the playground next door. The moms would have liked to have another drink, but were completely ignored. No one came to the table anymore or asked if everything was OK. On the contrary, our waiter sat at the table with other guests and enjoyed drinking coffee and talking on the phone. When we ended up paying for some drinks and ice cream twice, our patience was really at an end. We received the money back and were apologized with the words “we were quite stressed and the children were always chattering when we ordered”. The restaurant was not busy at the time we arrived and Coffee Cakes were not busy and some tables were empty. We will no longer visit Heeven - neither with nor without children.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. The waiter was rude and unprofessional. Instead of writing down our order, he tried to memorize it - which of course didn't work out. He forgot several details and we had to ask several times where our order was. Instead of apologizing, the waiter just made excuses. No system... It was very frustrating to constantly have to wait for our order and not get a clear answer. Such service makes the visit unpleasant and I will not visit this restaurant again.

The food was good, but one of the waiters was overwhelmed, but remained calm and competent.👍 An older gentleman (waiter) wasn't exactly helpful for the restaurant due to his manner (saying sayings). It's a bit too much to wait 25 minutes for tea and then make a comment after asking politely?!! Some people don't come back, that's not how you treat guests.

The Heewen restaurant is a real gem in Dangast. The food is of great quality and tastes great. The varied menu offers something for everyone and there is a special menu for children. Particularly noteworthy is the unbeatable location directly on the Jade Bay, which makes a visit an experience. The whole thing is complemented by an extremely friendly and courteous staff who ensure an all-round pleasant atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

Without question a magical place - who doesn't like sitting right by the sea... the endless expanse inspires, sets you free, gives you wings and dreams... But it should remain up-to-date and informative - opening times on the HP must be correct. During my short vacation in Dangast, I was looking forward to visiting HEEWEN for days, officially open! Upon arrival the door is closed - BF until 04.12.24 😞

We were in Dangast today and spent a lovely afternoon there and decided to have dinner in the Heewen restaurant, where my wife had eaten very well several years ago. My wife ordered housewife-style matjes with fried potatoes and salad for €19.50 and I ordered a pork schnitzel with pepper sauce and salad also for €19.50. To our surprise, after exactly 4.30 minutes we were served our food. That made me suspicious... I looked at my food and saw the 2 schnitzels exactly the same size an even light brown color and one Grease-glossy surface that showed that it was fried in the deep fryer. I lifted the breading with the tip of a knife and saw that the schnitzel had a liquid breading. This means that the schnitzel was already bought ready-made and was just finished in the deep fryer. Now I tried the pepper sauce and the Maggi and Knorr companies greeted me. They haven't even bothered to refine this sauce with a little cream, sour cream or a few drops of cognac. Now I decided to make the salad The salad had fresh different types of lettuce, some fresh tomatoes, red peppers and cucumber and was beautifully presented. Now I tried the salad dressing and the company. Kühne shouted hello to me. I asked my wife how her food was and she confirmed the same. The fried potatoes They had the same strength or thickness, had a bland taste and were lukewarm on the plate. The dressing for the matjes was also a purchased product and was by no means made in the kitchen. The salad dressing was exactly the same as my meal, a so-called Kühne product. For me, it's cheating if you buy all of your food as convenience food and leave the guest in the dark about it, and at prices where you can get a very good home-made meal in decent restaurants. I had already expressed my criticism in the restaurant, This was only accepted with a nod, but no one in charge showed up. It's a shame for the beautiful restaurant and also for the community of Dangast. With this criticism I would like to encourage those responsible to rethink their system and urge consumers to take a closer look at what they are getting for their money.

Ambience great. The service was OK, but forgot our starter and the straw we requested couldn't be used either. Fish platter was delicious. Schnitzel looked like frozen goods, albeit good ones. Given the price, I would have expected a fresh, home-breaded schnitzel. I've also gotten the chicken nuggets with less formed meat.

Ambiance really beautiful. But: We waited over an hour for food. The waitress seemed annoyed and was obviously chewing gum. Unfortunately, when the food finally came, it was totally over salted. We didn't get our second drink either. Too bad.

Went there recently, waited over an hour for food, four neighboring tables, who had all ordered after us, received their food before us. The fifth neighboring table was served within 15 minutes. When I asked the waiter about it, he said the others had ordered simpler dishes. That was an impossible excuse. They ordered pasta and we ordered a burger and schnitzel. There is no difference in preparation time. The waiter was unfriendly anyway and ignored us several times. After three quarters of an hour I politely asked for food. They said it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. After another 16 minutes I asked again. The answer was that it would take another 3-5 minutes. Basically we were about to leave when our food arrived after about 70 minutes. When we received the bill I asked if they would waive at least one drink, but the waiter just looked at me blankly, laughed and said she wouldn't do that. When I objected that we had waited over an hour for food and that I would expect a little accommodation, he just pushed the EC device towards me. Impossible! Honestly, I'll never go there again. I've never experienced anything so unfriendly.

The ambience, charisma and location attracted us. And then we sat there for 15 minutes without any attention. When I asked if there was self-service there, I was given two cards and told they would come straight away. There were four of us. After another 15 minutes we left. 30 minutes without attention was awesome. I haven't experienced it in a long time. I could have understood if something had to be done. But there were only a maximum of 15 tables occupied. So we went to the bakery. A mega service. Immediate attention the prices were great.

No recommendation!!!! We were there last night with 4 adults and 2 children. It was reserved in advance. The cards came quickly and then??? We waited, guests who arrived after us were served before us. The restaurant was half full. After our next table, who also came into the restaurant after us, was served, I called the waiter over to us (after waiting 45 minutes). We were finally able to order the drinks. On this train, our son held out the menu and said he was hungry, he wanted spaghetti. The waiter said he would take the food order straight away and he wasn't seen again. After another 15 minutes of waiting and no further response from the waiter (2 waiters happily walk past us without anything in their hands) and still no drinks (1 hour waiting time) We got up and left. I find it an absolute disgrace that you are ignored like this and don't get any reaction from the waiters even after asking. Complete arrogance and ignorance. If you think you have to sit on such a high horse, then you shouldn't be surprised about such an assessment. I will not enter this store again.

I had the dike plate and was very happy with everything. The nice waiter had charming difficulty remembering the order without writing it down. The beer selection could be more regional and better.
