Hausmann's Frankfurt Airport in Frankfurt am Main

Vi bestilte det der skulle være nem og varm mad. Karrypølse med fritter. De to andre fik salat. Karrypølsen var kold. Det samme var fritterne. Salaten var overhældt med dressing. Uspiselig. Pølser og fritter røg ud igen og var også kolde anden gang. Vi ventede herefter på en øl til. Der ikke kom. Da vi skulle med et fly måtte vi afbestille.

Currywurst was not so fresh. Ice tea was fine.

Poor customer service. Woman ignores long line of airport guests to prepare trays of muffins. Then advises everyone it’s card only - no cash. This is an airport!!!

Really poor experience. Gulash soup was cold and really small - only several spoons. The main dish was less than average. The waiter was impolite. I do not recommend.

Food is pretty good for airport standards. Having said that… I didn’t read the other reviews before going, but to echo many others, DON’T use the QR code on the tables to order food. The waitresses scold you for using it. After not receiving my beer for 15 minutes, my waitress, Tiziana replied with “You ordered with the code, I don’t know what you got” and walked away. I normally wouldn’t say their name, but she is a terrible person. Doesn’t smile and made me scared to speak up and ask for things. If you hate your job that much, just quit. I’m sure I’ll get the same canned reply from management saying “we will talk to the team.” This issue has been going on for months. Either take the QR codes away or train your staff better. It’s outrageous to get yelled at by the staff for using the QR code. Ridiculous.

The grilled chicken was really really good and they make it gluten free by request!

I travel always to Frankfurt and I used to love Hausmann's, but it's kinda sad being refused to be served at 20.39 because "it's closing" (when actually says 21:00) . Lot's of money can be generated in those 20 minutes with customers willing to have a quick beer.

Returned here several times and think it was good food every time. Both food, service and atmosphere are quite okay but absolutely nothing that stands out. Will certainly return again next time I am at this airport.

Airport restaurant food. Overpriced but coming out quick. Had the currywurst. One currywurst with chips for 15 eur. Tastes fine but nothing outstanding. Probably going to grab a sandwich instead next time layover at FRA.

The quality of the food is average to good. The prices are logically slightly higher because we are at the airport. What should be highlighted is the friendly staff. Despite the stress, they were very accommodating and nice. You can also pay here with a Lufthansa voucher. The waiting time until you get a place here is sometimes a little longer.

Vi var sliten etter en lang dag på farten, måtte spise litt før vi skulle nå neste fly. Maten var så som så, men vi måtte ha noe å spise. Da vi skulle betale, valgte vi kontanter, siden vi enda hadde igjen euro. Før vi fikk se regningen omtrent, begynte den kvinnelige servitøren og mase etter tips, hun ville ha penger. Vi ville se hva vi fikk tilbake og da hun kom med de pengene vi skulle ha tilbake, så ville vi gi henne myntene. Da ble hun så sint at hun gikk. Dette har vi aldri opplevd før. Man gir tips når man er fornøyd, men med den oppførselen, så ble det ikke noe. Vi ble så overrasket og gikk derfra. Vi kunne se at servitøren klaget til en annen kvinnelig servitør. Vi er ganske ofte på flyplassen i Frankfurt, men ikke et måltid på den spiseplassen flere ganger. Vi har navn på servitøren, men det holder vi for oss selv.

It was a short wait to get a place. Staff was quick to take and deliver order. I had the chicken and it was horribly dry and not tasty. I regretted not getting the schnitzel. Sad. Update - when asked how everything was, I told the waiter it was not good but I ate what I could because I have to fly. He actually removed it from my bill! Wow. Unexpected! So, I would come back and try something else again just due to the service!

It can also be used without a card. You have to agree on the price. It cost us 500 CZK per person. But with a child in a pleasant environment, where you can eat, drink, snack, take some fruit, sit in comfortable lounge chairs, watch the departures and arrivals of planes, work on the Internet for 4 hours. Consider.

Great place to grabs lunch before your flight to wherever. Being seated takes time but the food comes fast. Oh, the beer is great too.

Airline staff were not very friendly

Located in a corner of the airport, used during transit. I was satisfied with the Mussels steamed in white wine that I wanted. Stella Artois, not white wine. The mussels were delicious with a traditional taste, and the flavor of white wine and celery worked well.

nice place inside the frankfurt airport around to the middle of gates. The food was good and the prices too. Not have many available chairs and tables because is not so big.

I was so lucky. I was on the plane even though my flight was canceled. No one on the plane was angry or asked why. They quietly got off the plane and went to the flight behind the ticket counter. This is worth learning from the Chinese people. Good alternative at the airport if you don't prefer bread rolls or a ToGo restaurant. The staff very nice and accommodating. The tables are very narrow, but the food was very tasty and if you have time before your flight, it's definitely a better alternative than sitting at the gate.

I can agree with one of the previous reviews. The atmosphere is good, the staff friendly and the food came quickly. The beer was really good (a craft beer from Hamburg)! Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to the food (burgers). Apparently the cattle were killed here a second time. The burger patty was extremely fried and dry. The bun seemed more dried out than crispy and the sauce was also saved. Overall the fries were acceptable. All in all, the price/performance wasn't right for me. I would come back, but then only for a beer.

Honestly, the food was so good, but 3/5 people got their food beforehand and the others had to wait 20 minutes for the burger. The burgers were already ready but 50 employees walk past and can't even deliver the burger quickly. If you look where they go, the way they go up and down 10 times is complete nonsense. Would have deserved more stars but the service was simply terrible😡

There are free seats in restaurant, the queue is long, but they don’t permit come inside to take a seat. Just huge time for waiting. Really cannot understand such kind of service.

Chewy, dry burger meat. Good beer, friendly service. Update 6 months later. Better hamburger 👍🏼. Update! Beer is off. Diacetyl. Say this to the brewmaster he should know. As you can see I visit this place often while traveling. So here is another update. Hamburger beef dry as wooden. Had to wash it down with beer. Nice service, but I prefer nice food too.

I stayed at the bar. My go to place when I have a longer layover in Frankfurt. Nice beer and the breakfast burger is good. Had a Franzbrötchen (cinnamon roll)and black coffee. If you want a really good Franzbrötchen, go to Hamburg

Average airport restaurant with happy music from the recent past and German food.

Service could be improved. We were struggling to find a table when the restaurant was 60% occupied. At the first available table, the seats were full of white dog hair and crumbles. When trying to take a seat at the second available table, the waitress approaches us and explains in an unfriendly way that we're not allowed to seat at table for 4 people. There was no intention to show us an appropriate table. We finally find a table for two, but it's so uncomfortable because all tables are so close to each other. This makes it hard to move without disturbing other people, especially when you have luggage. Air conditioning was not working properly and it was very hot. All of this made the experience unpleasant, but we were hungry and decided to stay. Food is 6 out of 10. We had currywurst and it was not mentioned on the menu that it was going to be THAT spicy.

The food was average. Service below. Prices are high. The good thing was that the food actually came quickly. The have the possibility to make it something nice but they don't wish to.

It was easy to familiarize yourself with the menu and make a request, even though the place was super crowded. I ordered a dish and it was enough to share with my husband (2 medium meatballs, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and grilled onion). Very good and with a price compatible with the service, which was fast.

I have eaten here twice. On both occasions the service was very slow: it took 25min for a couple of burgers to arrive. The staff are rude, mostly because they seem overwhelmed with the amount of people. The food is good but pricey. Two burgers and two drinks cost approximately 50€.

Service was good, food was good. Waiting time a bit longer than expected, but the staff seemed to be trying their best. Overall not bad place to spend an hour waiting for your flight; we didn’t feel hurried at all after eating. Average restaurant with okay service and okay food. There might be a longer wait if the airport is busy as there are not that many options in terminal 1. I’d recommend the curry sausage as it’s somewhat of their signature dish. The others are below average and quite pricey, as expected at an airport.

Das Hausmann am Flughafen lässt leider immer mehr nach. Früher habe ich gerne meinen Feierabend hier eingeläutet, doch nun wird man immer mehr abgefertigt. Seit neuestem kann man bereits online am Tisch bestellen - man könnte meinen dann geht es zügiger. 20 Minuten nach meiner Bestelung fragte ich nach und bekam zur Antwort, dass es online immer „ewig“ dauere. Das Essen kam dann nach 30 Minuten und es musste hinuntergeschlungen werden, um nicht den Flug zu verpassen. In einem regulären Restaurant sind diese Zeiten kein Thema, doch am Flughafen hat wohl niemand die Zeit, so lange auf sein Essen zu warten (selbst wenn die Bedienung charmant gewesen wäre…)

I ordered the grilled half chicken, it was very tasty but was a bit dry. Maybe the best alternative to sandwiches at the Frankfurt Airport. Had to wait 5 minutes to get a table at a seemingly not crowded hour.

Only accepts credit card payments (ordered by phone). They also didn't allow to pay with debit cards. Unacceptable that they don't accept physical money payments. Staff was really rude towards us.

Don't come during a peak time or you will miss your flight.

Very cute place to enjoy a quick bite before the flight, enjoying the Italian music and the staff are very nice.

No table service for the seating area of the cafe, long queues to order and most of the tables were dirty since the staff did not clean in between customers.. coffee was basic and left a bad aftertaste since the milk was burnt..

Always a pleasure to dine there. The waiters are very friendly and quick. The menu has something for every taste.

I stopped in for lunch during a layover. It was very busy and the staff did their best to keep up with a full dining area. It might be worth putting an extra server on for the lunch period. It seemed that I was dining during shift change because my server disappeared. I finished my meal and sat for about 30 min with no food or drink and probably could have just walked out with no one noticing. I asked another staff member to take payment for my lunch.

Poor service, they forgot 1 out of 4 orders, and above all two very rude and rude female employees, especially an employee with long black hair who was really unpleasant and rude for no reason! If you want to take a relaxing break I don't recommend it!

Totally OK food. It says homemade but everything felt a bit semi-finished, especially the apple strudel. Nice staff who tried to help as best they could when there was a long queue at the restaurant.

Prices are high af and food is below average. Ordered ciabatta roll with chicken breast, it had very few chicken pieces and a whole roll filled with white cabbage (white cabbage roll, not chicken lol). We also took some frankfurt sausages, they gave us two small sausages from supermarket, this is not what you expext by seeing fancy advertisement above the place and cool menu. We had no choice, but to eat this, be careful and dont be fooled.

Express stopover at Frankfurt Airport Even in 15 minutes, it is possible to have a pleasant meal in the event of a short stopover in Frankfurt. Very good pizza and nice staff.

The servers were as cheerful as a raincloud, and the burger was a contender for my top three worst ever. Every part was overcooked and dry, and the bun was so tough I nearly needed a blowtorch to cut through it. And believe it or not, the service was even worse than the burger!

Warning, long queue as there is only one service for the store. It just doesn't do anything really quickly. Only card payments possible. In general this is not a problem. Unfortunately, the tip is included in the calculation without being asked. This borders on fraud when it comes to “service”. I wouldn't give a star here, unfortunately it's not possible

Not so nice a little mouse that was coming and going close to the window overlooking the planes. We asked a waiter, but then the mouse disappeared and the waiter was not so concerned to find it again. I find this totally embarrassing. I will not come back.

Yeah...no... Rude staff. Made people feel like they had done something bad for no reason. I even got ignored when I asked a question about seating, and the staff just started directing people behind me to seat them instead. The waiter said he/she was going to check something about our food in the kitchen. Never came back to us. Food eventually came. Ok, tasting. Stale tasting. Just wish I saw the other review about the dead rat in the restaurant before we started eating.

We had a very long flight, we were very tired and very hungry. In this place we were able to relax and eat delicious food. This was the most pleasant experience of our entire trip. The waiters were very friendly and nice and the food tasted homemade. We only had positive emotions from visiting this place. Busy and convenient with some tasty currywurst and fries meals. Great dipping sauces. I loved the rotisserie chicken and the delish UberQuell Supa Dupa IPA.

One star because the fries were okay. The service was unfriendly right up to the end and the atmosphere also screams for handling. I wouldn't even recommend my mortal enemy.
