Äthiopisches Restaurant Frankfurt in Frankfurt am Main

A small, fine restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff! The ambiance is cozy.

Not sure what happened to this place - if the chef left then or if they prepare to close it permanently. We ordered for dishes and in each of them the meat was smelly (as if it is spoiled). The waiter was arguing that it is because of spices (which we didn’t believe as we have tried many different Ethiopian restaurants). We didn’t eat the food, we paid it anyway and the waiter (who was probably the owner and the cook at the same time) was not bothered at all by this situation. Regardless of the quality of the meat, what they serve was nothing alike Ethiopian food (except for the bread). It looked like few pieces of meat thrown in a pan with some onions and peppers without being marinated or having any spices added.

Delicious affordable Ethiopian food. My daughter and I had the cubed beef and the spicy lentils. The chef added greens and potatoes as a side and also lettuce and tomato to the generous platter. We also had the honey wine. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Super delicious and plentiful food. And, as far as I can tell as a German, very authentic. Extremely personable and friendly owners (or employees?). I ordered two vegetarian starters for lunch, but I only managed half of them. Unfortunately, it looks a bit unimpressive from the outside; I thought it was closed at first. Don't let that deter you; go anyway; it's worth it! :-)

Die Kombination aus mehreren vegetarischen Gerichten war sehr lecker. Freundliche Bedienung, gute Preise, gerne wieder! Aber besser erst gegen 13 Uhr kommen und innen Essen, der Außenbereich liegt leider an einer sehr befahrenen Straße.

The menu selection wasn't particularly good. The interior is nicely decorated, but also a bit run-down. Overall, it's inexpensive and okay if you just want a quick bite to eat, but it's not a particularly special experience.
