I had high expectations of Hausmanns in Düsseldorf Airport, as I had already had positive experiences at the Frankfurt location. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The service was unfriendly and not attentive. The food and drinks were hastily slammed onto the table without being served directly to me, even though there wasn't much going on. So really parked at the other end of the table. The home-style plate (2 bratwursts, small meatballs with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes) with a side salad and Cola Zero cost 35 euros, which was outrageously high for the quality offered. The food was lukewarm and didn't meet the usual standard. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that I'm not used to at other locations.

The restaurant doesn't work at all. On-site service is advertised on the Internet. You order using your smartphone like at McDonalds. No personal service. The tables were full of used dishes from other guests. And that at 6:30 a.m. There were very few tables occupied. The food is served on paper plates and with wooden cutlery. The slice of brown bread was dry. It was probably too long, there was probably no demand for it beforehand. Try cutting a sausage out of wood with a knife. My husband had a sandwich that felt like rubber. The coffee was good, but nothing more. At Frankfurt Airport you will be served personally at the table at Hausmanns. You should definitely not enter the restaurant at Düsseldorf Airport.

The QR code to order was missing on our table, I asked a server how to order and was scolded by the bald man with dark glasses in a manner I had to walk off before lashing out on him. We switched to a other table and duly ordered a nice lunch brought by a friendly lady who surely earned her trinkgeld on our lovely lunch. Meanwhile we watched the airport grinch clean some more tables.

Soymillk or oat milk doesn't cost extra, that's a plus. The staff is really friendly and they create a calm environment. A place to have a rest, snack and drink with runway view before take off. All Gate A are within walking distance. Would recommend a coffee here. See you next time ☕

What a rip-off! After ordering and prepaying via credit card €18.50 for fish and chips the food never arrived. When enquiring with the waiter he said there is no more fish & chips! Now hoping for a refund from Haussmann… cannot recommend this place at all, on top staff are unfriendly and clearly stressed out.

The terrible staff, they don't listen, they send you from one place to another, and then keep you from ordering online. Don't even think about asking something... they almost re-eaten... yes, for the price of things we were there for hours... at least they leave you in peace. What a shame that these sites, with a certain monopoly, do not know how to treat customers well... which is not difficult...

No service at the tables, even though menus are there. Many guests bring snacks from other shops and eat them at Hausmanns. Tables are not cleared, there are empty cups, glasses and bags on the tables everywhere. Simply terrible, there are better alternatives in the airport

Wir wollten nach einer erfolgreichen Geschäftsreise ein lecker Bier trinken und sind ins Hausmanns gegangen. Hier wird mit lecker Craft Beer geworben. Beim Bestellen wurde uns dann mitgeteilt dass es nur Standard Helles oder Weizen gibt. Wir haben Helles bestellt und dann Beck‘s Pilsner bekommen. Dazu ist das Bestellsystem umständlich und das Team hinter der Bar sich nicht einig. Das war der erste und letzte Besuch hier!

Has definitely seen better days! In the last few weeks, several items on the menu have been "off" and the staff has reacted with slight annoyance. The menus on display and the online offering also differ, which also leads to misunderstandings and different reactions from employees. The food is okay and the price is pretty normal for an airport. We have had different experiences with the staff, from super friendly to very annoyed.

They have moved to ordering by app, but it is not there yet. For drinks, the “choose size” does not work (it gives you the large size). The “edit shopping basket” also does not work. Staff confirmed that they don’t work. You also cannot order without giving name, email and phone number. So much for EU privacy laws. In the end you have to flag a very busy server to order the old fashioned way.

Good food but the service was poor and so was the environment. Was served one dish, but the other in the group was served his dish when the first had been eaten. When we were about to pay, the waiter asked if we wanted a tip and we said no. The waiter was obviously annoyed about it, threw the receipt on the table and left without saying anything. In addition, the restaurant is right next to a smoking room, so it stinks of smoke all the time.

Very unfriendly waitress. We tried ordering food using the QR code on the table, but there was no evidence of self-service and it wasn't immediately apparent elsewhere either. Then the waitress placed our order, she didn't even greet us. At the time of payment the prices did not match our order as we had ordered a regular black coffee and we were charged for it as a latte coffee. The waitress didn't want to continue talking and just asked us to pay. In short, I don't recommend this cafe at all, we were practically scammed.

Unfortunately, compared to a few years ago, it's little more than a bad, cheap bakery, but with prices from upscale restaurants. We made the mistake of sitting down. You can also order online in the restaurant. What is quite negative is that the online version uses different terminology than the cards on the table. In the online version, Café Creme is probably a cup of coffee and Latte machiatto is probably milk coffee. But that's just a guess. The latte machiatto I ordered consisted of a half-full small cup of coffee with some steamed milk. A business practice that cannot be tolerated under any circumstances is that payment must be made immediately upon ordering. Instead of the 2 drinks and 2 dishes, only two drinks and a pannini were brought to us, with the note that the (second) foccacio was not there. By making the payment, the business has concluded a contract that is binding for both parties and cannot easily be broken unilaterally. In this respect, the hausmanns sold goods that were not in stock. This is commonly called intentional fraud. Back to the food. The ham sandwich was just soggy, ice cold and tasted sour. Hausmann's is described nicely with disappointment.

Has clearly seen better days. The online card and the card on display differ, which leads to misunderstandings when ordering. We ordered online using a QR code directly to the table. It was not obvious that some items were no longer available even though we paid directly via Paypal. We were only told when it was delivered to the table that it was no longer available even though we had paid. The alternative offers on the menu were inadequate. We will definitely NOT come here again!

I had a currywurst with fries there and I have to say - the currywurst can do something. It's really really good! And the fries aren't the run-of-the-mill standard things - but thicker, tastier ones. I can definitely recommend it! One point of criticism, however, is the time it takes the staff... At our table of 4 people, the first two had their food after 10 minutes - the other two only after 25 minutes. A drink also took at least 10 minutes. There was only one waitress for all the tables at the back. If it weren't for that and the rather unfriendly manner at the front, it would be a great shop! But just something above standard...

If I could give zero stars I would. Service was terrible. Waited 30mins for a coffee, and every time I asked staff where is was I got ignored or told “it’s coming”. Coffee wasn’t worth the wait either, puddle water would have been better. And worst of all, they weren’t even busy! Do not recommend!!!!

The faulty towers bar in Germany!!! Service is terribly slow. Waiter running the cash register seems to be doing rather strange transactions with the tips jar, while you spend 1/2 hours in the queue to buy one drink. There is no table service. Chaos.

The coffee is the lowest quality. (if we can even talk about quality) Apart from the fact that the coffee is so expensive, it doesn't taste like coffee, on the contrary you can taste the cup. Very rude waiter. I had a table at Hausmanns with my family while waiting for our flight. My 4-month-old baby was crying and needed changing. I took him to the winkelraum (baby changing) but the queue had 4 other families waiting in it and we were getting desperate. I therefore started to get my baby changing items out discretely in a quiet corner by our table. A waiter watched me and then started literally shouting across the restaurant saying I could not do that - it was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing, as lots of other customers then heard him and were looking at us. I stopped what I was doing and about five minutes later I walked through the restaurant to take my baby to the changing room. The same waiter saw me leaving and starting saying ‘winkelraum’ again. I explained i understood what he meant (in German) but that the queue was huge with lots of people waiting. He shrugged his shoulders and as I walked off he shouted ‘restaurant restaurant!’ at me. He was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable. While i appreciate it may be preference not to allow a baby to be changed in this ‘restaurant’ (trust me it wouldn’t be my preference either, but I was doing no harm and no one else would have noticed) - there was no need to be so rude and shout at me in the manner he did. I would also definitely call this more of a departure gate cafe than a ‘restaurant’! Funnily enough having read other reviews for Hausmanns, it looks like rude staff is a reoccurring theme. Would not recommend or return.

The food is a disaster. I ordered a double hamburger and it was baked like a sole. They exchanged it for Wiener Schnitzel. The meat is smelly, the breading is full of oil, it's thin and overbaked (25.50 euros, the house's specialty). I left. I didn't want to ask for anything more. The cook should change his profession and they should change the cook. Give this place a wide berth. I'm glad I didn't eat anything there. It could have cost me my health.

I was at Hausmann's late in the afternoon yesterday and enjoyed an excellent currywurst. It wasn't my first time in this restaurant and it certainly won't be the last. I like the ambience, the varied menu and the courteous staff. One employee in particular stood out because of her courteous and friendly manner. Thank you again.

The food is excellent, although quite expensive. The view of the apron is great, which makes the waiting time with children more pleasant. The service in the dining area is quick and extremely friendly; you aren't even greeted at the front. Most places have electricity and USB ports, which I think is very good. Fish and chips are highly recommended. With the sausage salad, which is very rich, large and tastes good, you only get half a roll, which is a bit irritating.

The food is good. A burger for 24 euros - that used to be 50 marks - can be discussed. But the fact that you are driven out of the service zone before you have had a chance to take a look at the map is just unprofessional. Quote “do you want to eat?”, answer “I want the card” - reaction “then you have to go to the self-service area”. I would still be able to understand it if it had been full. The only stupid thing was that the online map didn't work.

The food was great, and served within minutes. I had schnitzel and strudel. Really efficient, and calm at the same time. This is a real feat! So just was I was looking for. To me, the staff was friendly. The selection is more limited than the menu indicates. E.g. no decaf coffee despite offered explicitly. We almost had a misunderstanding on coffee, but we figured it out.

Your employee who was working this morning was very, very unfriendly, after criticism from a guest he reacted extremely rudely, we all don't like being criticized, but he definitely has to learn to deal with it better. A friendly nod and an apology to the guest is usually better than that. Simply smiling and thinking the rest helps 😉

We got shouted at for asking if the curry wurst is a white or brown type of sausage. The lady simply didn’t know. Then the waiter threw cutlery on our table. The spaghetti we ordered on top was very poor. They also had the courage to ask for tip at the end. To sum up, very poor.

Took over 30 minutes to order 1 sandwich. We almost missed boarding. The prices are outrageous. It cost almost 9 euros for one sandwich. 15,80 together with two waters. The line was huge with only one overwhelmed worker taking orders/making the drinks. They need more/faster workers. The sandwich was not warm like I asked and hardly had any filling.

Ordered via the QR code on the table. Food took 25 minutes to arrive which could be stressful if you have a flight to catch (there was also a big queue to the gates after finishing at this place). The wrong food arrived which was no big deal I clarified what we had ordered via my email receipt. About 5 minutes into the meal the male waiter, Barkarf (sp?) came over shouting that my kids had eaten a salad we hadn’t paid for. He was pretty intimidating - my kids got scared, began crying and hid under the table. I complained to the supervisor, Amin, who said I wasn’t entitled to complain and the manager was away. I asked for contact details (for Mara?) he got aggressive and kept walking away when I tried talking to him. An upsetting experience.

Food was alright (expectations weren’t terribly high) but the service was terribly rude and poor. Told us we had to order in person after we ordered at the table using the QR code printed on the table. A man eating near us ran into similar troubles and got shouted at by the waiter, and the other staff refused to speak to him about the issue.

Die Bedienung von Barakat war super. Sehr herzlich empfangen worden. Der Burger mit Pommes sowie die Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut waren ebenfalls sehr lecker. Lediglich der Kartoffelstampf war etwas lasch gewürzt. Preise - vor allem für Flughäfen - vollkommen in Ordnung!

Arrogant stuff and highly overpriced (compared to other places around). We wanted to sit at the table, first order drinks and then food - as you usually do in restaurants. Waiter was very rude and insisted on us ordering food immideately, or we can not sit there. Well, we went to another place. Avoid this place and you will have a better day :-) ... and for this google review reply person, you dont need to answer empty sentences that you will improve behaviour or your stuff, thats just nonsense :-)

I went here for dinner with a few friends on the 3rd weekend of Advent. I would have left here again, but my friends wanted to stay here... Our Alster was missing the Sprite and only water came out because the syrup was empty, but we all got a new Alster. My vegetarian burger was just lukewarm, but I didn't feel like saying anything anymore... I found the employees to be very overwhelmed and stressed. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the "Schweinske".

We were very friendly taken to our reserved table. The order was taken immediately. The food was served hot and was excellent. All in all, a successful lunch. Gladly again.

Located in the heart of the old town, but in a quieter side street, the restaurant combines tradition and modernity. The food is good, home-style with a modern touch and seasonal daily recommendations. They have the best schnitzel here, I promise. The prices are fair, the audience is mixed from young to old. Both the party people who want to eat in advance as well as the "silver surfers" and business people. The outside area is casual (see photos). I think it's brilliant that the restaurateur (Christoph Söhnel) also took over the burgers from my former favorite burger restaurant (Stier Royal). By the way, there is a small boutique hotel above with just a few rooms. Very few people know this and you can still call it an “insider tip”.

Oh dear, oh dear, I couldn't believe so many bad reviews! I still have fond memories of fox hunting. A place where half of Eller met again on Sundays for dinner. 7 days a week it was just “cheers, hustle and bustle.” Where the well-being of the guests is important to the host. This is how I remember fox hunting. So gather your strength, press the reset button and go back to the beginning if this is still possible. I wish it for you, Thomas!!!
