Fries were cold, schnitzel wasn't particularly tasty either. It's actually a shame for such a beautiful location. The waffle was nice and thick and fluffy. So here it's better to have coffee and cake than to eat properly

We held our free wedding ceremony and the subsequent celebrations at Haus Müngsten. And are more than satisfied. The ambience in front of the Müngstener Bridge and next to the Wupper speaks for itself. Since we had nice weather, the wedding ceremony was held on the terrace. This is equipped with parasols. If the weather was bad, the wedding could have taken place indoors (we had rented the entire upper floor). One day before our wedding ceremony we were able to bring our things - such as a photo box, children's corner, decorations etc. - over and set them up. That took a lot of the tension out of the day itself. Unfortunately, the cake almost tipped to the side when the cake was cut, but the service staff saved everything in a professional and friendly manner, so that there was a cake cutting and no accident. In general we were very satisfied with the service! He also took on some of the organizational elements, such as welcoming the bride (i.e. me;)) and then timing the arrival of the free wedding ceremony. Seating options with tables were later set up on the terrace so that it could continue to be used well. The food was completely vegan-vegetarian and didn't just consist of fries and salad. Since we had the wedding arrangement we were able to choose from different modules. There was also a rehearsal dinner beforehand. All bridal couples, who would soon be holding their celebrations there, were invited and the meal was set up as a buffet. Everything was signposted here so that you could easily assign the selection of different building blocks. The only drawback: the glass front means the rooms heat up quickly. There are blinds that can be lowered and keep out some of the heat. Since we were able to go out onto the terrace and the children and guests were able to cool off their feet in the Wupper, it didn't bother us too much and we would choose Haus Müngsten again at any time.

Nice ambience, dedicated staff, delicious food. The homemade sauce for the currywurst was particularly good.

My wife and I ate tarte flambée with salmon and spinach today, it didn't look very fresh, in retrospect it would have been better to return it because my wife and I got diarrhea. Since we haven't eaten anything else, it can only be from that. I will never go there and eat anything again.

When we asked whether tables could be pushed together, we were kindly told that this would not be a problem. Shortly after pushing things together, we were approached very unfriendly by an older waitress asking who had allowed us to do that and that we could ask first. After we said that our colleague had allowed us to do this, the only answer we got was: she was just a temporary worker and she couldn't just decide. The boss was also constantly talking about something that you couldn't really understand because people turned away and walked away while they were talking. After 10 minutes, I was asked in a rather unfriendly manner whether the drinks could be taken. We also told her these (Cola, coffee, latte, etc.) After a while the drinks arrived, so far so good, only the cola tasted quite stale, downright old, as there was no carbon dioxide. After waiting for over half an hour, we decided not to order any more food. When paying, we asked the waitress that the cola tasted stale and had no carbonation, whereupon the waitress said: it was always like that and it was because the cola came from a barrel in the cold store and the carbonation was lost as a result. This was definitely the last time we were there. Although the view is very nice. An absolute no-go for an excursion destination.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Dishes, cutlery dirty Food was only lukewarm and the service when there are complaints is very disinterested.

We just wanted to eat something here... went for a walk very early and then waited an hour until it opened... so we were hungry. After we sat down. If the waitress came and told us in an annoyed and overwhelmed tone that the kitchen wouldn't open for another hour... if we had known that in advance we would have gone somewhere else from the start. Unfortunately it doesn't say anywhere that the kitchen doesn't open until 12 p.m.... very poor performance so only one star

A nice restaurant under the Müngsten Bridge. The food was good and the prices are ok.

I had thought that Haus Müngsten was a restaurant. However, in my opinion, anyone who defrosts schnitzel and cordon bleu from the freezer and then deep-fries them or heats them in the microwave has no right to call themselves a restaurant. If the price was 5 euros instead of 16 euros, I wouldn't have said anything. But a restaurant is never allowed to offer such an industrially processed food, perhaps with mechanically separated meat. After I told the service staff, who of course can't be blamed for the quality, what I thought, her answer was: "It's always done that way." Okay! Of course that was the last time I entered the store. I've never been screwed like this in a "restaurant".

Went there for dinner with 11 people today! The food was so-so, to be honest, everyone expected more, the service was also terrible, the fact that we didn't die of thirst is all, the ladies and gentlemen who waited there were simply unmotivated and overwhelmed! We won't come again, it's a shame because the atmosphere was okay!

Disastrous service - birthday ruined! Incomprehensible! Reservation confirmed for my birthday, then simply “forgotten”. When you call to expand the guest list, suddenly there are no longer any reservations. Two minutes of phone conversation for nothing! Now too late for alternatives. What if we hadn't called? Would we have just stood in front of a closed door? Absolutely unprofessional and irresponsible. Birthday plans destroyed. Stay away from this restaurant! Total organizational chaos and no customer service whatsoever.

Hello dear reader, then we want: As always, first the parking situation: Free parking approx. 10 minutes walk away. Ambience: Great with a great view of the Müngsten Bridge. Service: Very, very good, service staff exceptionally friendly and flexible, even 7* is justified for this. Eat: Portions were plentiful, of course I don't necessarily expect "haute cuisine" in a restaurant, but you could definitely enjoy it. All in all: You can definitely visit this restaurant

Today we wanted to spend the day at Brückenpark and sit on the terrace to eat and drink something with the family. When I went through the door inside with my son to look for the toilet (it was then signposted). An older little lady with long hair spoke to me with the words “hey, where are you going?” I said I wanted to take my little son to the toilet. She replied, can't you ask then? I said that we would sit on the terrace with the family and eat there. The lady said you can still ask. I then said, no thanks. A restaurant where you are a guest and have to ask to use the toilet with a 4 year old child is not the right place for us. Then we went somewhere else with 10 people. Unfriendly salutation, unfriendly towards children. In addition, the staff obviously smoke in front of the house in front of children. All in all a great location, but that was it. We'll avoid it from now on. No go!! Ps: Showing a recession to Google as a denial based on past experiences is not the right way to accommodate the customer. Perhaps as an operator you should talk to your employees and strive for improvements. I can't understand how they can annoy customers more instead of improving. It's a shame, really.

We recently held our wedding reception there. Well, probably more bearable. In the first conversation with the manager everything was great and sounded great. Apart from that, the view there is also beautiful. The rehearsal dinner, which was postponed for a year, was also good. At the rehearsal dinner in March, it was promised that the toilets and elevator would be ready by July, as they had suffered from the floods. We were not given any information about this and we had to share the 2 toilets, which were dirty and wet, with the day customers. An absurdity! However, one of our guests almost fell because the stairs in front of the toilet trailers were not screwed down. And someone slipped in the wet toilet and injured themselves. The cleaning lady reacted angrily because she was told that it was dirty and that something was broken because of the fall. The waiters were nice, but not competent. Of the 2 waiters, one couldn't even pour beer. It was her first day as she was actually studying something completely different. Unfortunately, after the buffet, the food wasn't even covered, so it dried out further. Due to the heat in the festival room, where the sun was shining, you couldn't sit inside and the starters were no longer really edible because of the heat. Instead of lowering the blinds during the day or looking for other ways to make it cooler or move to another room or even outside completely, no thought was given. You had to constantly complain yourself. Nor is it possible to offer the starters outside. The reception wasn't what was promised either. Drinks were very warm. There was no adequate response to anything on site and when we said we wanted to speak to the boss, the only response was: she wasn't there. In retrospect, during a conversation, none of this was really discussed or some things were simply kept silent or only said in a slightly annoyed manner about what to expect. I'm sorry but this location is not for a celebration! Too unprofessional! The only good thing was that the food tasted good. Unfortunately, it wasn't even told in advance that the food would be thrown away, as would the wedding cake. Very sad! Never there again! We're still upset about that shed to this day! Parking shortage is also terrible!

Very tasty food, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.

We had a lovely afternoon on the nicely located terrace with a spectacular view of the bridge. The service was attentive and quick and super friendly and also responded well to special requests. The food was also delicious, perhaps well salted for our taste (baked potato), the waffles are recommended. We will definitely come back, a nice place to start or end an exploration of the Brückenpark.

We visited the restaurant on a sunny Saturday and sat in the beautiful outdoor area with a view of the Müngsten Bridge. The location is really fantastic. The service seemed very uncertain, but tried hard. Unfortunately, the fruit spritzer was warm, despite the ice cubes floating in it. Currywurst fries tasted okay, but the porcelain on which the food was placed was dirty. The staff was constantly standing outside the door smoking. Haus Müngsten has a unique selling point due to its special location, but I wouldn't visit it again if it were in a competing restaurant area.

We took advantage of the good weather and treated ourselves to delicious ice cream at Haus Müngsten. Apparently the service is also run by people with disabilities. I think it's a great idea! The restaurant is in a great location, directly on the Wupper and offers a beautiful view of the Müngsten Bridge. I can't say anything about the food or the ambience inside. The furnishings outside are rather functional.

Dear Haus Müngsten team, At this point we would like to say THANK YOU again for a great stay in your house as part of our son's confirmation last Sunday, April 21st, 2024. It was perfect! Starting from the very beautiful implementation of our decorative elements, to the great buffet (our guests all enjoyed it wonderfully and there was more than enough quantity) to the great service, which helped us through the afternoon really well, very friendly and very attentive accompanied!!! We will be happy to recommend you!

Great location, but service was subpar. The table reservation didn't work out, so after 15 minutes we had to wave someone over to order drinks. We also had to fight for attention from the service to order food. Food was ok, not a highlight but okay. Unfortunately the service was very inattentive.

Very nice restaurant in a fantastic setting. The brunch buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Even towards the end of the buffet, everything was still available in sufficient quantity and of very good quality. The staff are very friendly and competent, despite the full house there is no trace of hecticness. The location in the park directly on the Wupper is fantastic and the price is more than reasonable for what is on offer. I'll definitely be back. Deserved full points.

Wanted to celebrate my brother-in-law's 50th birthday there. We made reservations for the day by phone and were there on the day. At the door we were told that that couldn't be the case, we had a wedding today. Pretty cheeky... you couldn't even apologize.

We were able to celebrate our niece's wedding here. The location is absolutely fantastic and is therefore worth a visit. The service team was very attentive, super helpful and friendly. This can not be done any better. We were also satisfied with the food. A clear recommendation for celebrations and/or a trip. Sufficient parking spaces at the property or in the immediate vicinity would be good. Due to the location, the slightly further walk is completely ok.

Das Haus Müngsten liegt direkt an der Wupper, zum Fluß hin sind die hohen Räume komplett verglast und binden die Natur sehr schön ein. In den lichtdurchfluteten schlichten Räumen hat man nicht das Gefühl, in einem Ausflugslokal an einem touristischen Hotspot zu sitzen. Die Müngstener Brücke ist in unmittelbarer Nähe und von der Terrasse aus schön zu sehen. Es wird sowohl Kaffee und Kuchen geboten als auch eine Vielzahl von Gerichten, die sehr solide und für ein Ausflugslokal an einem abgeschiedenen Ort überdurchschnittliche Qualität bietet. Es ist sehr schön, dass das Haus von der Lebenshilfe geführt wird und Menschen mit Handikap hier gut und selbstverständlich eingebunden sind. Der Service ist freundlich, aufmerksam und stimmig. Die Räume eignen sich sehr gut für Tagungen und größere Feiern.

Wir waren schon einige Male hier, ob als Pärchen oder als Familie, oder ich als einzelne Person. Natürlich, wenn das Haus gut besucht ist, muss man mit Wartezeiten rechnen, besonders in den Sommermonaten. Alles, das was wir bis dato dort gegessen und getrunken haben, war für uns in Ordnung und lecker. Man muss bedenken, dass das kein 5 Sterne Restaurant ist, sondern ein Ausflugslokal mit gutbürgerlicher Küche. Außerdem wird hier Menschen mit Behinderung die Möglichkeit gegeben am normalen Arbeitsalltag/leben teilzuhaben und so etwas sollte man nicht verurteilen sondern unterstützen und bei der Beurteilung berücksichtigen . Ich werde meinen 50. Geburtstag dort feiern in Form eines Brunches mit Muttertagsspecial. Auch hier werde ich meine Bewertung abgeben.

The worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. Burnt red cabbage, ready toilets, meat almost cold, wine selection zero, wheat beer is served in pilsner glasses (because apparently you can't reach the wheat glasses), starters in the wrong order and sometimes without cutlery, etc. There's no room for that here anymore. Overall not recommended. Food expensive and warmed up, service not even tried. Never again!!!

Sehr lecker, Kellnerin war etwas unfreundlich und hat sie Bezahlung verpatzt, kommt vor.

Einmalig gelegen im Muengstener Brückenpark. Die Karte ist überschaubar, die Gerichte bodenständig. Kein besonderes Tamtam, aber auch nicht überdurchschnittlich. Portionen sind ordentlich.

Waren an einem Freitag um 13:30 Uhr dort. Drei Tische waren belegt, mit uns. Wir hatten einen schönen Tisch direkt am Fenster mit schöner Aussicht auf die Wupper. Wir wurden auch schnell bedient. Vorab tranken wir einen Milchkaffee. Dieser schmeckte gut. Das Essen hat jedoch sehr viel Luft nach oben. Der Kaiserschmarren war zwar schön angerichtet mit Früchten und Puderzucker bestäubt. Er war leider lauwarm und hatte keine lockere Konsistenz, sondern erinnerte an einen Schwamm und man musste sehr gut kauen. Die Maultaschen mussten leider zurück in die Küche, da der Rucola welk und sogar zum Teil schimmelig war. Zum Glück war er zu oberst „dekoriert“. So etwas darf nicht passieren. Ich habe mich gefragt, ob in der Küche der Salat gewaschen wurde und ob irgendjemand eine Endkontrolle gemacht hat. Ich bekam zwar Ersatz und ein Getränk, mein Appetit war jedoch verflogen und ich habe es nur gegessen, weil ich sehr hungrig war. Wir können das Essen dort nicht empfehlen. Haben es heute nach einigen Monaten nochmals versucht, obwohl wir schon zweimal nicht zufrieden waren. Leider gibt es dort keine Konkurrenz.

Nach einem Spaziergang kann man hier gut einkehren. Im Sommer ist es sehr schön draußen zu sitzen.

Einfach schön dort, wie ein Kurzurlaub, in 45min bin ich mit dem Fahrrad dort. Bierchen und Kleinigkeit zu happsen, dann ist der Tag perfekt.

Wir waren nach dem Brückensteig in diesem Restaurant. Das Essen dort ist sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Ich persönlich hatte die Currywurst mit Pommes, sie wurde in zwei Schalen serviert. Der Geschmack war Mega, komme gerne wieder! Weiter so!!!

Ich war überrascht wie groß das Lokal ist. Die Karte ist sehr vielseitig. Unser Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung war nett und umsichtig. Das Ganze mitten im Brückenpark. Wie im Urlaub.

Wir saßen in der Herbstsonne draußen auf der Terrasse, mit direktem Blick auf die Brücke. Bedienung war sehr nett und schnell. Getränke top, optisch und inhaltlich 😊. Essen war gut. Nichts besonderes, aber preislich und geschmacklich völlig angemessen.

Fast jeder der den Brückenpark oder auch die Brücke selbst (mit Führung) besucht, kehrt hier wohl ein - die Preise sind daher entsprechend - die Auswahl und Qualität der Speisen aber auch gut! Wir würden wieder kommen.

1000 Sterne für jeden Mitarbeiter alle sehr höflich und hilfsbereit freundlich und kompetent das ist was für jeden da spricht

Wir hatten Waffeln mit Reis und Puderzucker. Dazu 1 Kaffee und einen heißen Kakao bestellt. Die Waffeln kamen recht schnell, aber der Reis war kalt, was ich so nicht kenne. Dann warteten wir 20 Minuten auf die Heißgetränke. Als sie dann kamen waren sie kalt,weil sie so lange auf dem Tresen gestanden hatten. Meine Frau ging dann und brachte sie zurück. Hierbei konnte sie in die Küche gucken und sah, wie eine männl. Person den Gurkensalat mit den Fingern auf die Teller verteilte. Vorher hatte diese Person einige Tische abgewischt und dieses Tuch hing auch die ganze Zeit auf seiner Schulter. Die Person war auch nicht besonders ordentlich gekleidet. Fazit: auch wenn der Betreiber die Lebenshilfe ist, es sollte doch eine gewisse Sauberkeit und vernünftigen Service geben.

Die Lage ist top!!! Personal war an dem Tag (2.10.2023) überfordert und es hat auch gedauert bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden. Während der Bedienung war es auch nicht so toll. Wir haben zuerst das Essen bekommen und dann die Getränke. Das Essen war ok.

Top Lage. Kaffee & Kuchen war gut. Personal eher faul und lustlos.

Wir waren im Haus Müngsten um 2.10.23 den Geburtstag meiner Frau zu feiern. Da wir einen Brückentag hatten war das Lokal und der Außenbereich voll besetzt. Damit fing das Desaster an. Wir hatten einen Tisch für 13.00 bestellt, ca. Nach 30 Min. wurde die Getränkebestellung aufgenommen, die dann nach weiteren 30 Min mit der Speisekarte gebracht wurden. Wieder dauerte es einige Zeit bis die Bestellung der Speisen aufgenommen wurde und als man sie dann endlich brachte waren die Pommes kalt und das Fleisch lauwarm. Als wir dieses reklamieren wurde uns gesagt, ich zitiere: "ich habe das genommen was da stand." Und es stand seid längerem viel Essen vorne an der Küche In dem großen Saal waren nur noch wir und alles leere Tische mit altem nicht abgeräumten Geschirr Der Service war teilweise unfreundlich. Für uns war klar das wir hier nicht mehr herkommen werden und es auch nicht weiter empfehlen werden.

Aussicht ist super - aber da kann das Restaurant ja nichts für…einfachste Sonderwünsche sind warum auch immer nicht umsetzbar (Eissorte X statt Y). Portionsgröße des selben Gerichts war bei mir und meiner Partnerin sehr schwankend. Viel Luft nach oben

Freunliche und schnelle Bedienung Ebenfalls das Ambiente stimmt Das Essen ist leider eine kleine Katastrophe. Schnitzel und Burger raus aus dem Grossmart Tiefkhlkarton rein in die Fritteuse und auf den Teller. Und so schmeckt es dann auch.

Grundsätzlich muss man einmal die tolle Lage hervorheben. Man sitzt mitten im Grünen und kann den Restaurant Besuch toll mit einem Spaziergang verbinden. Leider muss ich sagen, dass sowohl der Service als auch das Essen zu wünschen übrig lässt. Als die Kellnerin an den Tisch kam und wir nett sagten, dass wir leider zu viel gequatscht haben und noch nicht in die Karte schauen konnten, ging sie weg und verdrehte die Augen. Zwar wurde sie mit der Zeit etwas „netter“ allerdings gab es ohne Zuruf keinen eigenständigen Service. Das Essen war ok aber nicht der Knaller. Sonderwünsche wie ein Salat ohne Zwiebeln wurden abgelehnt, die Sauce vom Salat war sehr sauer und die Waffeln sowie das Eis sind leider nicht selbst gemacht (Eis kann ich noch verstehen - Waffeln leider nicht). Alles in allem würde ich die Müngstener Brücke immer wieder besuchen. Das Restaurant leider (!!!!!) nicht. Ein Restaurant mit viel unausgeschöpftem Potential

War sehr lecker und freundlich kann man nur empfehlen Danke

Fällt mir schwer aber leider kann ich nur 3 Sterne vergeben, ich war zum ersten Mal hier. Das Personal war am Anfang nicht wirklich interessiert und es hat auch gedauert bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden. Während der Bedienung war es auch nicht so toll. Zum Ende hin wurde das Personal aber netter. Draußen gibt es alle Kaffee Sorten außer Latte macchiato, warum? Cappuccino, Kakao und Kaffee war in Ordnung, aber mehr auch nicht. Die Waffeln waren auch in Ordnung. Die Toiletten waren sauber. Ich selber würde hier nochmal eine Chance geben, aber nur wenn jemand unbedingt dort hin will.

Es war ein sehr schöner, netter Nachmittag. Die Belegschaft ist der Hammer!!! Sehr fröhlich, herzlich...einfach toll! Haben uns dort sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt!!! TOPP

Ein sehr angenehmes Haus mit guter Küche. Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für Familienfeiern zu empfehlen. Überhaupt ist der Brückenpark Müngsten einen Besuch wert - seht familienfreundlich!!🙂

Wir waren begeistert. Ein toller Ausblick, sehr leckere Getränke und Waffeln und ein super Service. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Service war sehr freundlich. Extra wünsche wurden gern umgesetzt. Das Essen zu dem Preis war Top. Champions auf Spinat war erste Klasse!!! Wir kommen wieder!!!
