Hello, I've read some people's reviews and can't quite understand what they're saying. The food is incredibly good; I can't say much more. Sure, it's not like a Michelin-starred restaurant, but the prices are reasonable. I had one complaint, which was immediately taken seriously and corrected. I also got a schnapps on the house, which is okay. Everyone makes mistakes. The atmosphere is truly cozy. I and my guests felt very comfortable and will be back.

We were there for dinner. We first stood around in the restaurant for 10 minutes without any staff showing up. The "waiter" who then took over was very difficult. Unfortunately, we can't say anything good about the food either. The portions were huge, but the taste wasn't great. My salad on my appetizer platter was drenched in dressing, and the fried vegetables were unfortunately very salty. My partner's schnitzel tasted of rancid butter and was inedible. We also told the staff this. We wouldn't recommend it and won't be coming back! EDIT to comment: Unfortunately, I have to rate the room; I can't ignore it. And there were a lot of vegetables left on my plate. Maybe next time I'll take a closer look before claiming I ate everything; the plate was still half full when I handed it back!!! And even if I didn't like it, I have to eat it so I don't starve. I certainly won't go to another restaurant when I'm already under time pressure! And the fact is, the schnitzel didn't taste good! It was inedible for us, which is why three-quarters of it went back to the kitchen. Maybe they should start being friendlier to their guests; that would really help their overall image.

A rustic overnight stay, a place to take a step back in time and simply relax, if you want some peace and quiet and can do without 4 or 5 stars. The food was excellent, delicious, and freshly prepared. The meals are reasonably priced. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip.

We were in Deggendorf for an event. The weather was perfect, the sun shone all day, and the atmosphere was great until we arrived at the hotel. At check-in, we were told that breakfast would be served starting at or around 7:00 a.m. So we headed toward the breakfast room around 7:20 a.m. On our way, we met an employee in the hallway—no "hello," no "good morning." We didn't take it seriously at first; everyone has a bad day. However, when we arrived at the breakfast room, no one was there. Shortly after, the same employee came in. This time, we greeted him warmly, and he wished us good morning as well. During the conversation, we learned that breakfast wasn't even open yet and that the organizer hadn't booked breakfast for us. That wouldn't have been a problem in principle; we would have happily paid for it ourselves. But when we asked if we could still have something to drink—at least a coffee or some water—we received a response that could almost be described as "Hollywood-worthy." They said they hadn't bought enough, so there was nothing for us either. Unfortunately, that was neither customer-friendly nor service-oriented. Especially in the hotel industry, one expects at least a certain degree of courtesy. I would, however, like to highlight the lady at the reception desk; she was friendly, helpful, and very professional. The rooms were also clean and tidy. It's a shame that the positive impression of the city and the hotel was tarnished by the unfriendly and unsolution-oriented service in the morning.

Unfortunately, the owner lacks courtesy. The place itself is very nice. The food is okay. The rooms are stuck somewhere in the 1960s and aren't particularly comfortable or attractive. Those who leave from the back look out onto a messy garbage dump.

We spontaneously stopped at the restaurant for lunch on the weekend while passing through the Asklepios Clinic in Schaufling. I ordered the XL schnitzel, and it didn't disappoint in any way. I'd never eaten such a large schnitzel before; the portion could easily have fed 3-4 people (see photo). Overall, a very pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food, and excellent value for money. We'd go back anytime!

A great place to sleep while traveling. Unfortunately, there was no crib available. We could have taken ours out of the car but didn't want to rearrange the entire trunk, so our toddler slept between us, which was fine. The slatted bed base needs to be looked at. The food was delicious, and Vanessa, the staff member, was super sweet to our daughter. The breakfast wasn't extensive, but it was perfectly fine. We will definitely return here when we travel again.

The restaurant combines the best of Bavaria and Italy. Only here you can find authentic Schnizza. It's incredibly delicious! Incredibly great service. It's worth the trip!

Quiet location. We stayed overnight on our way home from Croatia. The restaurant offered excellent food. Our dog was welcome. We'll be back.

Great location for large events! We celebrated a milestone birthday with about 70 people. The Krahwirt's barn was the ideal venue. The planning and execution were excellent, and everything went smoothly. The food was also delicious. Definitely recommended!

Hotel is a bit of lost glory, not maintained recently. But the price was budget so this was risk. The personal was not particulary friendly. By check in in the evening the lady let us wait just in order to handover the key. I guess even this multi-tasking was too much. The man at the check out, in the morning was sitting and smoking outside for 10min. I tried to call the reception as nobody was there, not knowing that he was in charge. When I come out for the 3th time he said to me that he is not coming on call hallo...The older man was kind.

Great guesthouse, been there a few times already. We usually book the family room, which is a kind of apartment on the top floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom.

After a complete disappointment an hour earlier at another restaurant, we came here and what can I say, an absolute compliment to the waitress who was on duty on September 6th, 2025. The lady did everything she could to serve us perfectly and satisfy us as guests. Even though it was quite busy and she was the only one there, she always had a smile on her face and was very polite and friendly. Also an absolute compliment to the kitchen, the food was on point and perfectly seasoned. The ambience was also absolutely fantastic and perfectly coordinated so that you feel completely at home. All in all, very inviting.

The inn is super cute and has a truly quaint feel. The staff was really cool, very friendly, and accommodating. Unfortunately, there's no coffee machine so you can get one before the official breakfast. We also had a bit of bad luck with our shower, as the temperature couldn't be adjusted, and the balcony door was unfortunately broken. But these are minor issues. All in all, a very nice place to stay and definitely recommended.

We stayed here on our way home from Croatia. The rooms are simple and rustic, but clean, which is the most important thing for me. The service was very friendly and accommodating. In the evening, there were seven of us who enjoyed a really good meal. The schnitzel was great, the schnizza was great (a great idea, by the way), and the pasta was great. We felt like we were in good hands. Perhaps the negative commentators need to show a little patience. This is a country farm, not a five-star hotel in the Seychelles. If you have to wait a little longer, that's perfectly fine. It's hard to find staff these days, so it's all the nicer that the ones they have still had a smile for their guests despite all the stress. We'll be back on our next trip to Croatia.

Don't be afraid of schnitzel! The "Italian" schnitzel variations on the extensive menu may seem odd at first glance, but they're actually a pretty fun idea worth trying. The beer garden with chestnut trees is traditionally Bavarian and offers a beautiful view. We really enjoyed it here.

We celebrated our wedding at Haus Kräh in July – and it was exactly as we had hoped. In the afternoon, we sat with our guests in the beer garden for coffee and cake – relaxed, cozy, just the right setting for a relaxing evening. In the evening, we went to the Stadl for the celebration – and what can we say: It was a complete success. The service was fantastic – always friendly, attentive, and in a good mood, even when things got a little hectic. The buffet had something for everyone – a huge selection, and everything was absolutely delicious! It was also particularly nice that we could continue to use the beer garden in the evening. With the fairy lights and all the trimmings, there was a truly lovely atmosphere. A big thank you to the entire team at Haus Kräh – with your support and serenity, you helped make this day unforgettable for us. We couldn't have imagined anything better.

We received a very warm welcome. Dinner with friends was perfect. The service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for the price. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful. The XXL giant schnitzel was not only huge, but also incredibly delicious – crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. It came with plenty of side dishes and friendly, attentive service. The portions are more than generous – no one will go home hungry! If you love hearty home-cooked meals, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back.

I agree with the previous speakers here. We, too, experienced rudeness and arrogance at its finest. A change of industry would be advisable for the owner. Thanks, but NO thanks. We won't be back.

I booked a room here through Booking.com. When I arrived, I had to look for staff because no one showed up at the reception after waiting for five minutes. When I finally got my room key, I discovered that my room was under renovation. A supervisor was called to resolve the issue. He immediately started yelling at me and threw me out of the hotel, telling me to "contact Booking.com." Fortunately, the booking could still be canceled through Booking.com at that time. I then booked another hotel in Deggendorf, where I received a friendly welcome. Response to the operator's response: As I already mentioned on-site, I find the host's behavior towards me as a guest highly questionable. After all, I'm being accused of lying here. Fortunately, I can refute this accusation. I arrived at approximately 7:15 p.m. Check-in was stated as being from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (This is also still available on Booking.com.) I was given a room. Therefore, the statement that my room was given to someone else is false. Apparently, they didn't take into account that this room was under renovation when the booking was approved. I took photos and attached them. The metadata shows that they were taken at 7:53 PM on the day in question. I don't understand why they're trying to discredit me for arriving by bike, as it doesn't contribute to the matter here. If an apology had been offered at the time in question and a solution had been sought together, the review would certainly have been different. I'm not complaining about the hotel's mistake itself, but rather about how I was treated afterward.

Very unpleasant and unfriendly! We were just passing through! Due to a private event, it was impossible to get a beer! Staff shortages have also reached Bavaria! Thank goodness only one night and we're moving on tomorrow! Not to be recommended! Oh, and there's no need to address the hotel personally given this (un)friendliness (ironically). Communication was completely out of place! Because if it had worked on the part of the host, this review would never have been written!

A top location with creative food, great quality, and very friendly, competent service. That's how it should be.

After some pretty bad experiences in the past, there has been a definite improvement in the food selection and quality, very friendly service, and a lovely spot with a great view of Deggendorf and the Danube...I'll be coming more often now!

We spent a beautiful evening in the beer garden at Haus Kraeh. Since Haus Kraeh is located at a high altitude, you have a wonderful view from there. We didn't eat anything due to the intense heat, but we did drink some very good wine and water. And: We'll be back!

Despite booking, I didn't get a room. The manager's response was, "Please leave our restaurant, it's closed and we have more important things to do." Poor reception, unfriendly to rude...lost a really satisfied customer.

We visited today with four adults and two children and spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening in the beautiful garden. The food was fantastic – especially the antipasti plate, which we shared between the two of us, was fresh, varied, and simply delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive, especially to the children. They were able to let off steam in the fantastic playground with a trampoline, swings, and other amenities – a real highlight! We will definitely be back and can highly recommend the restaurant.

We were there with a motorcycle group, and I have to say, the service was the best you could wish for. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but things are getting better soon. Breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner. The new owner is already working on getting everything up and running. We were very satisfied. The price/performance ratio is definitely right. We didn't stay in a room (so no information about the rooms is available), but we enjoyed our stay. The beer garden was very nice, and everything in the restaurant was also up to date. The service was very friendly. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was of good quality and delicious. They also have good beer and a delicious espresso. So, all in all, it was great.

A great compliment? We stayed for one night as an overnight stay, with three people and a large dog, in a triple room with breakfast included. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The bathroom had a shower, shower gel included, the water was nice and hot, and there was even a hairdryer. The breakfast was really great for the price. On Sunday, there was a roll, egg, orange juice, and various toppings, and even a selection of muesli. The coffee was really delicious. We will try to stay with you again in the future. Thank you very much for the friendly hospitality.

Despite nice conditions, probably the worst buffet in 20 years. Everything unappetizing, dried out or frozen stuff like nuggets. Of the 3 adults, 2 vomited within an hour. Never again.

Easter Sunday: actually kitchen until 3:30 p.m. Arrived at 3 p.m., there is absolutely nothing! I was told in an extremely unfriendly way, only in about 1 Hour again.....I still wanted to stay, but after no service for 20 minutes, I just went to Burger-Fritzn

Clocky Bavarian inn, with a great barn and large beer garden, plus a playground for the little ones.

Nice hotel from the outside. Inside the room older but clean. One problem is the noise from the surrounding rooms. Perhaps the fan could be heard and perhaps even snoring in another room. I was by the stairs so anyone could walk up the stairs.

Worst experience ever! 😳 I ate at the Krahwirt restaurant (children's carnival, buffet) and will never go there again. The schnitzels were tough as leather, the dumplings tasted like absolutely nothing, the roast pork was far dry and the potato salad was downright horrible. Even the nuggets, which you can't really go wrong with, were bad. Very disappointing - I can't recommend it to anyone. 😕

Really nice! Close to the city on the mountain with a view of the world. In front of it, the beer garden is really nice (unfortunately closed at the moment). Inside: pure tradition...

Never again. In winter, temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, the heating didn't work after 7:30 p.m., and the shower water wasn't warm. You arrived healthy and left sick. The breakfast buffet wasn't worth the money; not even a 1-star hotel is this bad. One unfriendly employee who didn't listen to customers.

We were here for a buffet (Christmas party). The atmosphere is actually fantastic. A quaint barn with a nice dining room. The service (drinks and payment) was extremely attentive, but woefully understaffed. Are they cutting corners here, or is it impossible to find anyone? Now for the food: unfortunately, I won't be going back. If you have low standards and can't cook yourself, it's fine. But for my taste, there were too many convenience/ready-made products. The nuggets, fries, etc., I suspect all came from a packet. That's understandable. The dumplings were homemade, or at least looked like they were. But I found the sauces awful. Was that pure cream in the gratin? Please think differently about the stock for the pork and the like. As an amateur cook, I can do better. The chicken leg was also pale and over-seasoned. Bottom line: When I go out to eat, I expect craftsmanship. But I won't be full for 18.90 per person. But my son loved the nuggets and dumplings. Everyone evaluates things differently.

It's a bit old-fashioned, but nice!!! We were only there for one night and felt comfortable. Even with a dog. In the morning we had a nice breakfast and continued our journey feeling refreshed. In the evening we ate in town.

You can believe the bad reviews. Unfortunately I had to spend 2 nights here in different rooms. The first night I lay on a completely desolate mattress. You noticed every single feather down to your feet! You should replace the mattresses if they are completely worn out! The mattress next to me was the same. But there was also a really deep depression in the middle, so that you had the feeling of lying with your butt on the ground. The ventilation in the bathroom didn't work either. In addition, the music system from the ground floor was played until late at night. So you were tortured and kept awake with hits. The breakfast was OK. Second night, I was in a room with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling (I could clearly see a dead mosquito swinging back and forth from the draft) The bed cracked and creaked with every movement, but this was immediately drowned out by the squeaking bathroom door, which you could hear from the top, certainly all the way to the ground floor. At least this time the mattress didn't have any springs digging into your body. In another rented room there was simply no smoke detector installed. Neither did the ventilation in the bathroom work for me (there are no windows in it either). When I arrived, there were only keys lying around and a piece of paper with lots of names (I also knew straight away what my neighbors were called and which room they were in) You couldn't talk to anyone about the defects because no one was there. What was promised was not kept. All I expect at this price is that you can at least get a decent night's sleep. But you certainly can't do this in all the rooms you're assigned. The first night would have been more comfortable in the car. Would I stay here again while passing through? Certainly not. I was able to experience and confirm the many criticisms in the reviews myself. By the way, a neighbor also complained about the condition of his bed... Small addendum: I never said there was a room swap. If the landlord isn't there in the evening, who should you talk to???? Strange. In addition, I was an escort, so they can't find me in the system. But I still stayed overnight with them and had the experiences mentioned above! There were partying parties that definitely had loud music playing in their rooms. There's nothing strange about it at all. My complaints are not the first, why haven't the numerous shortcomings of other visitors been remedied yet? Talking doesn't seem to be effective.

Were only there for an overnight stay. But already for the 3rd time. Unfortunately the rooms are a bit shabby. But if a landlord is only interested in money, the tenant/landlord can't do anything about it. Room clean.

There is no reception, you arrive in the evening and no one is anywhere. The key is left on some kind of cabinet with the name on a piece of paper, it took time to find it. Everything is dark, the lighting does not work. The room is indescribably dirty, the carpet is in disrepair, smelly, dirty. The bed no floors, on the floor. The bathroom is indescribable, deposits of lime and mud in the bathtub, everything is dirty. Calls are not answered. Not for rent.

If u don't have a car, don't bother coming here. U can't even walk there. The obly way is by car. I didn't know this and I called the hotel for help, but no one answered. I also had to unfortunately and dangerously walk on the express road. After arriving, no receptionist was there. Our keys were left on a table with our names on a paper assigned to Numbers of the room. The room was small and there wasn't good lighting. Though it was clean. The morning breakfast was good. It was clean and the breads were kept warm. All in all, I wouldn't come here if it wasn't cheap. If u are looking for something nice and cozy, not here. But if u are looking for something cheap which naturally comes with bad service, u could come here.

Fortunately, we only booked for one night, as it will be sleepless due to the noise from some of the facilities. 🥱 According to the other comments, the night in a room with a balcony wouldn't have been any better. 🤨 Unfortunately the bed is an imposition. Far too low, mattress sagging and nicely separated by wood in the middle. It creaks with every movement. 😰 The parking space in front of/next to the accommodation is fine. 🚗 We had to wait some time for the room key because two waitresses seemed to have to take care of everything at the same time. 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️ Since we had already eaten dinner, we just had a quick drink. Drinks and service were good. Payment was pretty quick. 🍺🍺💸 Due to the many recessions before, I'm already thinking about skipping breakfast and finding a bakery somewhere or, best of all, going straight to McDonald's... At least then you know what you're getting... 🥹 I don't dare test the shower, the floor pan is very dirty and the shower head doesn't look inviting either... I can't imagine cold water coming out. 🫣😱 The television worked, but there is no guarantee for a backless picture. The battery compartment of the remote control was skillfully "secured" with a thin strip of tape. A universal remote control doesn't cost €10 more - but it's very creative. 🧑🏻‍🏭 We didn't have to or want to use/open cupboards etc. in such a short time. 🥸 A spider sat on the bed to greet us. 🕷️ I didn't expect much for a double room for €75 but I would probably have been happier in the car. Jeez... PS: AT 2 AT NIGHT THE NOISE WAS FINALLY OVER - HALLELUJA 🙌🏻 Hoping for sleep now. 🥸

First and foremost, I want to highlight the friendly staff. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their warmth and attentiveness truly added to the overall experience. The atmosphere of the Haus is charming and inviting. The décor reflects a lovely blend of traditional and modern elements, creating a cozy milieu that makes you feel right at home. The surrounding area is also beautiful, perfect for leisurely walks and enjoying the natural scenery. Breakfast was another highlight of my stay. The selection was modest choices , but still impressive, featuring a variety of fresh, local ingredients. It was a great way to start my day, and I appreciated the effort put into providing a satisfying meal. However, I must mention a couple of drawbacks. Unfortunately, I noticed some (huge) mould and mouldy stains in the bathroom, which was a bit off-putting. It’s an area that could definitely use some attention to ensure a more pleasant experience for guests. Additionally, there was no kitchen available during my stay, which limited some dining options. Despite these issues, I still enjoyed my time at Haus Kräh beim Krahwirt and would recommend it to others. With its friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and great breakfast, it’s a wonderful place to stay, provided some of the maintenance concerns are addressed. I look forward to returning in the future!

The restaurant is catastrophic… Service takes well over an hour at half capacity for “quick dishes” like a sausage salad and a currywurst! When we then politely said that we no longer needed it due to time constraints, the almost cold food was placed on the table and said that unfortunately it had just been finished. The food had already been sitting somewhere in the kitchen or in the pantry for at least 15 minutes. If you make a mistake, it's only human and then you can answer for it and not have to blatantly lie to/screw guests Paying the bill then takes another 35 minutes, during which you are consistently ignored. Even the most beautiful location doesn't help

I don't understand the bad reviews! What do you expect for such a great price? The Hilton? We vacationed there a total of twice last year and this year and were satisfied! Some rooms are getting old, some have been newly renovated. Despite some quirks, everything is clean, functional and comfortable. The breakfast is rich and delicious, the coffee is always made fresh. In the evening you can have a delicious meal in the restaurant and enjoy local color. It was the best potato gratin I've ever had! We also thought the landlord and his staff were great! Sometimes a bit grumpy, but always quick and responsive to wishes and needs. If you can't cope with such a humorous manner, you probably shouldn't go on holiday in Bavaria! However, such fair prices do not exist in the French Alps. The inn is also a great starting point for many activities in the area. If you don't have a car, you can use the bus stop right in front of the door. Be sure to hike and enjoy the impressive view! We will be back definitely!

Nice house, cozy restaurant, on the evening of late arrival, nice service. The breakfast was simple, but fresh at 8:00. Water was available free of charge upon request at the counter. No fruit, no eggs or vegetables, so it's meant to be clear. Coffee from a pump pot. But ok for the extra charge. The room for €70 was not ok. Look at the pictures, old carpet, bed absolutely tattered. The pillow and blanket were cleanly covered and unappetizing underneath. Mattresses are more than worn out, the bed squeaks and groans as soon as you sit on it. Water stains on the ceiling and the promised balcony see the view. It's a shame about the beautiful house.

We stayed at this hotel spontaneously. Very nice rooms. Rustically furnished and the bathroom is brand new. Very clean rooms. The guest room has been redesigned and looks very nice. Unfortunately I can't say much about the food, but what I saw looked very plentiful and tasty. We will definitely come back.

Food was quite good but not outstanding

The inn with its beer garden is located on a mountain, which means you have a beautiful view. However, it is therefore only suitable to a limited extent for cyclists. The service is friendly and the food is good, but not good enough for the price quoted. The surroundings and the beer garden with its large old trees are very beautiful and there is plenty of shade. However, what stops me from eating here again is the pop music that is way too loud and annoying. Although it was made a little quieter at my request, I still couldn't relax and quickly left the beer garden after eating.

Nice, traditional hotel with good beer garden. Sadly, no food menu in the restaurant, and almost make it up attitude. Only cold offerings for breakfast - not at all what we expected.

We were there on a Wednesday lunchtime because all the doors were supposed to be open, unfortunately everything remained dark, including the kitchen. We'll try it again in the winter. We went out to eat today before the election, the food was very good but the prices are quite intimidating. The weather was great so we went to the beer garden, the service was friendly and quick, unfortunately there weren't enough guests. A family of 4 people can quickly put down €100.

...actually I would give 0 stars everywhere! 1. Very steep climb from Deggendorf to Simmling, which was definitely not worth it after what awaited us in the guesthouse 2. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed, although there was a notice on the internet that the restaurant was open. Since we were there on our bikes, we had to take a taxi there and back (see climb!) to at least get something to eat in Deggendorf. 3. Room is very outdated, dirty walls and mold in the bathroom above the shower / also on the ceiling, plug of the night light poorly wrapped with insulating tape. 4. Water in the shower and sink ice cold!!! 5. Nobody can be reached on the phone number and not a soul is present. 6. Breakfast very manageable!! 7. No accommodation/discount for the inconvenience; Unfortunately there was only one person present who had to endure the whole thing. The boss didn't show up! 8. I only received a debit receipt because the invoice could not be printed out! Conclusion: We will definitely not come here again. All negative reviews are completely accurate! UNFORTUNATELY!!!.... I didn't want to believe it!

Friendly staff Price performance good

Beautiful, large beer garden with a great view of Deggendorf. We had a buffet today, the food was very, very tasty and plentiful. We will come back in any case.

You get what you pay for (ordered) and that is extremely friendly, warm, clean, ...And always a bit more of everything than necessary and with a smile.

Conveniently located close to the A3. Excellent restaurant with reasonable prices and a nice large terrace. Rooms are a bit outdated and 1 slatted base was defective. Still slept well.

Shower tray could use cleaning or replacement. Shower head temporarily repaired. (I can't say anything about the function of the shower... I didn't use it for the reasons mentioned above) Chairs worn out. Paint peeled off the heaters. Bathroom light secured with insulating tape.

I ate here with friends for the first time a few weeks ago and can't understand the negative reviews...!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly and talked to us often. We also got to know the chef and sat at our table for a short time. So they both definitely have a sense of humor. An evening that the three of us will not soon forget. So in short: food great, reasonably priced and service simply great. 🥰

The Krahwirt is one of the larger inns in the area. There is good food here at reasonable prices. The location is good, you have a great view of the surrounding area. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. What's not going so well yet is the advertised communication via WhatsApp (e.g. reservations, etc.). There is an urgent need for improvement here, as sometimes there is no response or only a response after weeks. Overall, you can give this 4 stars.

The purest horror. Totally dirty, greasy torn carpet, mold in the bathroom, dirty walls, cold room, cold breakfast room (staff walking around in winter jackets),...
