Staff is very unfriendly and rude. I even want to hit the one customer who says something about the food and they just don't like it. This store is definitely not recommended.

Quiet atmosphere with pleasantly quiet music. Staff is very friendly, you don't wait long. Lots of places, reservations also possible. Lots of vegetarian options, one vegan one, especially the sweet tarte flambées are highly recommended!

It's called Flammkuchenhaus, but there are lots of other great dishes here besides Flammkuchen. Absolutely recommended. We each had two marinated grilled pork steaks with herb butter and French fries ordered. The meat was crispy on the outside and juicy and soft on the inside. Wonderful. Really good food at fair prices. But it's probably a seasonal food, so it's not always available. A very large restaurant with lots of open spaces, but also many more intimate spaces. Because this restaurant is so spacious, it is not always possible for the staff to keep an eye on all the guests. So just let us know and you will be treated very kindly. There is a cinema next door. So you can combine two great experiences with one visit. Gladly again.

Reservation was canceled due to staff misunderstanding. 30 minutes of waiting was only rewarded with a “sorry”... The food is great, but you can't eat it anymore.

We won't be coming back. There was a quaint, pleasant brewery atmosphere, but the food was mediocre. Both tarte flambées were rather bland and dry. Significantly below average, it's incomprehensible that it couldn't be better, especially since they specialize in it. The Aperol Spritz was a bit too thin and sour. The service was good.

I had a lot of flammkuchen but this was the least tasty I ever had. I have no idea how they managed to be so far from flammkuchen from Colmar or Strasbourg. The service was very pleasant.

Therefore, Google reviews for this restaurant are meaningless!] I would rate the food 2.5, gluhwein 5 and service -2! After putting us through the longest wait, the waitress had the audacity to ask "would you like to tip us?"! Waiters in Germany have rarely expected tips, let alone put customers on the spot. We tip if we really like the service. If anything, we should have been compensated for our experience, with a free gluhwein or something! The place seems short on waiters as we had to wait a long time to be noticed by staff and be seated. That Waiter was very nice and courteous. He came promptly to take or order and got us started with the drinks but turned out he forgot to add one main course item. The other waitress who fulfilled that part of the order seemed disinterested. Oh, and one gluhwein wasn't hot which was replaced by the waitress. We waited forever for the second half of the order and thought they won't be bringing it afterall. I was seriously considering leaving after paying at the counter but eventually got the order. We also ordered applestrudel and I have had applestrudel several times. This was awful!

Tarte flambées used to be really good, but now they are only half as big as they are everywhere, very small and you won't get full. No longer justified for the price. Unfortunately, we won't be coming to eat in the future.

I ate the vegan tarte flambée and unfortunately it wasn't very tasty. The cream and cheese were not replaced, but simply left out, which made the tarte flambée taste bland. Unfortunately, it wasn't particularly seasoned either. But the service was very nice

We went here for lunch (recommended by a passerby). Good food, friendly service (there is a menu in several languages) and a fair price. We had the flammkuchen and the meat with chips, both excellent. Definitely recommended.

Mussten 15 Minuten zum Platzieren in einem leeren Lokal warten. Zusätzlich sehr lange auf die Getränke warten. Auf Nachfrage, wo denn die Getränke bleiben, wurde gesagt, dass wir hier schließlich nicht alleine seien.😐

Siamo stati qui a pranzo (consigliato da un passante). Cibo buono, servizio cordiale (c'è menù in diverse lingue) e prezzo onesto. Abbiamo preso il flammkuchen e la carne con le patatine, entrambi ottimi. Sicuramente consigliato.

Schlechtester Flammkuchen, den ich je gegessen habe: kalter Boden, billigster Belag (Apfelmus aus einer Spritzdose), kaum gewürzt. Getränke: Teeglas mini. Man will wohl Wasser sparen. Sohnemann aß Pasta: Bat um Parmesan. Kam erst nach zweimal Nachfragen – als er schon fast aufgegessen hatte. Vergleich: UC (Flammkuchen), Antica (Pasta, Tee).

Nice, rustic and quaint atmosphere, friendly service and everything came very quickly. I thought the dressing on the side salad was great! Unfortunately, the schnitzel doesn't work at all. Cheapest product, too thick, pieces of cartilage in it and tasteless. Unfortunately, the fries weren't cooked all the way through or were probably taken out of the fryer too early. The accompanying cheese spaetzle seemed to be quite good but nothing special. Of course, prices take it out of the equation, as it is quite cheap by today's standards. Still wouldn't necessarily go there again and if I did, I'd rather try the tarte flambée that's also advertised.

Great service in a great atmosphere. Some of the best tarte flambée we have eaten. Unfortunately, we were only hungry enough for four pieces, which meant we were only able to try a small selection. But the vegetarian one with garlic, corn and peppers in particular belongs in every order!

At first the selection of dishes looked promising. At second glance you noticed that most of the dishes are basically the same. We had a vegetarian tarte flambée and the goulash. When the food arrived, the tarte flambée was already cold. A lot of ingredients were saved for both dishes. The elderberry/rhubarb mixed drink was oversweet and ultimately just syrup. Luckily everything was cheap overall. The reservation was free because the restaurant was empty except for one other group. Our waitress was very nice. Communicative and open. A contrast to the food. Of course, a tip was a must. The restaurant gives me the impression that more emphasis is placed on the football nights. Than to offer really high quality food. On other sites you can also read that people threaten to contact a lawyer if they give negative reviews. Let's see how long this review stays online. In any case, you won't see the two of us in the Harmonie restaurant anymore. Just like the bad reviews.

First of all, the tarte flambée (Black Forest and fishy good) were quite OK. So really OK, not wow. But the mulled wines white (super and sweet) and red (tart) were great and went well with the food. According to other visitors, the toilets were bad, I went and found completely normal toilets🤷🏻‍♂️.

We were in Freiburg over the weekend and came across this restaurant by chance. The food was very tasty and came very quickly. The service was super friendly and accommodating. We liked the atmosphere - we sat in the palm garden. All in all very consistent.

The best place to watch football and then eat properly

During our stay, Harmonie was run exclusively by young people. The hospitality was very friendly, qualified and quick. We decided on the dish of the day (no tarte flambée). It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. As the name of the restaurant suggests, Harmonie specializes in tarte flambée and that seems to be doing well. The tarte flambée looked very tasty and there are numerous variations. Next time we'll know and eat a tarte flambée 😉

Food came 2 minutes after ordering, I ordered a portion of fried onions twice and it didn't come. Not even after asking. Additional orders seem to be easily forgotten. You could say that the additional order is not possible.

Das Flammkuchenhaus ist eine empfehlenswerte Adresse in Freiburg. Es gibt viel Platz innen wie außen; an einem Sommerabend sind aber die kleinen Tische an der Gasse richtig schön. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Es gibt eine vielfältige Speisekarte mit vielen leckeren Gerichten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The Flammkuchenhaus is a highly recommended address in Freiburg. There is plenty of space inside and out; But on a summer evening the small tables outside along the walkway are really nice. The service is very friendly. There is a diverse menu with many delicious dishes - tarte flambée and much more. We'd love to come back.

Five persons ,we ordered different from there kitchen, the food is not bad how we say standard for someone hungry and has not much choices when others are close.

a restaurant that looks nice but in which to be on the terrace you have to eat. we wanted to have a drink first and then eat. we are seated on the terrace and when I say that we want to eat 20 minutes later to enjoy our beers, the manager of the establishment tells us that we must finally go inside. we drank our beers and left without eating. disappointing welcome for the summer period.

First of all I would like to say that I really like the Harmonie Restaurant. A nice atmosphere, especially outside by the Bächle or in the winter garden. Late yesterday afternoon we wanted one of the (several free) tables for two at the Bächle. However, the service staff refused us this place. We were asked in advance whether we wanted to eat “properly”. When we answered (something to drink, French fries, maybe salad) we were told that it wasn't "real food", only customers who were eating real food were allowed to sit outside, so we had to go into the restaurant or the atrium. A discussion arose about the word “right”. It's a shame...in the restaurant opposite, our order was received in a friendly manner at the outside table. What criteria are decisive for “real food”? Since we couldn't enjoy the food or the ambience in the Harmonie restaurant, we only get 1 star for the service.

Here at 10:20 p.m. customers are no longer served. Not even a coffee at 10:20 p.m. In the middle of summer, at 10 p.m. we start clearing the tables. Run after the waiters (and waitresses) otherwise you will be served late even when there is no other customer to serve, 20 minutes for our order to be taken. Large selection of rhumnkuche but not very large in size; order 2 if you are a big eater and it is late. Quiet street.

As in 2023, the schnitzel with fries and side salad was excellent again in 2024. You sit very quietly in a side street in the city center, if you like, directly on the Bächle. Little to no car traffic. Alternatively, you can sit very comfortably and quietly in the courtyard.

This place has lazy, condescending staff offering lazy, condescending service. This is obviously a place that thrives on tourists who rarely, if ever, return. Food was acceptable (steer clear of the alscasian sausage salad though - that was very weird).
