Very satisfied and very nice watch Bavarian tavern with a super nice beer garden and lots of space for children to play.

I tried the special of the day, and was rewarded with a venison dish that paired with the beer they recommend. I've never experienced pairing food with beer before, and didn't think I was going to enjoy it. I've never been so wrong before in my life!

We have been here several times in the past in the beer garden, which is hidden in the middle of the city and yet surrounded by greenery. But this time it was too cold for us (New Year's Day), so we went to work with the whole family. There we found an incredibly child-friendly restaurant with a guest room that was furnished in a typically Bavarian, cozy manner. Overall, a house with a historical impression, like it was fresh from the 50s. Unfortunately, the toilets also looked a bit worn out, at least clean, but battered. The (definitely empty) fragrance dispenser with cobwebs around the outside resembles a sculpture 😊 The service was quick, the drinks were at the table quickly - and here's the first surprise: the first drink is free for children! I was speechless then. There is also an elaborate children's menu that also serves as a drawing and joke template. And in the entrance area there is a children's play area - but none of the children present actually used it because it was already very worn out. And yet: I have rarely experienced such child-friendliness, despite some experience in restaurants. About the food: The waiting time suggests that it was freshly prepared, and that's how it tasted. Huge, delicious looking and smelling portions, where even the children's roast pork portion passes for adult size at other restaurants. The fried chicken came with a plate, serving platter and chicken basket, and the well-beaten and breaded Viennese-style schnitzel was actually three schnitzels. The fried parsley with the fried chicken was funny, but had no added value in terms of taste, and the side salad unfortunately only consisted of (at least very fresh and crunchy) lettuce leaves and four halves of cocktail tomatoes in plenty of vinegar and pumpkin seed oil - a few carrot and cucumber shavings would have worked wonders. The roast pork was very tender and tasty, the dumplings were quite lumpy but tasty. The coleslaw was just a few spices short of perfection, and the sauce is beyond any doubt of convenience! In the end, all portions were eaten, even the two-year-old managed his portion of spaetzle with sauce, although that would have been enough for a primary school child. And that says everything about the taste. Conclusion: Price-performance is practically unbeatable. Delicious, rich food that could use a bit of finesse here and there, at good prices (anyone who says otherwise doesn't often eat out in Munich and the surrounding area, Wiener Schnitzel for under €30 is really cheap!) The furnishings are rustic and cozy, the toilets and the children's play area are looking forward to a small renovation. All in all, an absolutely positive experience - we would love to come back!

Eating duck today, very good and super friendly staff

Visit on December 26th, 2024. We wanted the Christmas menu advertised in the newspaper, and we announced this when we reserved the table on December 4th, 2024. We were informed at the restaurant that this menu was no longer available. It was probably just a lure offer. Sad. My wife then orders ¼ duck with dumplings and red cabbage. Red cabbage had already cooled down. I had venison ragout with spaetzle, spaetzle was so-so, some were also crispy. We only received cutlery and napkins upon request. Table was not cleaned and set when we were seated there. The catering and the table area seemed to have just been quickly shut down. A waiter served food at the next table and spilled the sauce on the table and chair. He quickly wiped the table. I spoke to him about the chair, which he then quickly moved to the coat rack where our coats were hanging. Thank God they didn't lose any of the greasy sauce. All in all, this visit wasn't worth it for Christmas and I'm ashamed to have invited my wife there.

Unfortunately, our second Christmas holiday dinner was not decorated with good food and pleasant ambience and service. According to a newspaper article that I don't want to mention here, this restaurant was listed as one of the 10 best and most popular in Munich. To eat: Prices are not explained here because everyone has their own opinion on this. However, if you want to go out to eat, you hope for warm/hot food. This was served after being mentioned, not hot or very warm. Sauce was cold and lukewarm the second time. Unfortunately, so does the red cabbage. Unfortunately, the roasted potatoes were served oily and with soggy onions. Here too, rather lukewarm to cold. Potato dumplings and fries are the same. Now to the service: The staff was nice, just seemed stressed and not attentive at all. Empty glasses were normal. Here I would like to mention that the place was not full. The food was not served promptly for 6 people. When the last meal was served, the first one was almost finished with his dish. Almost last that ambience: Regardless of the equipment, although it looked nice for a short time, it was very dirty. I'll leave out table runners and won't talk about them here. However, the curtains had large yellow stains and not just a few. The men's toilet was a run-down train station toilet. Dried Orin in a path under the Pisuars. Dirt on the window sill that hasn't been there for 1-2 days but rather for a whole season. The disabled toilet/changing room was horrible. The pad had feces stains and Orin that had dried all over the place. Dirt and cobwebs that were not fresh but rather very old. Nobody wants to relieve themselves and/or change their child's diaper here. This lack of hygiene didn't last one day but clearly lasted several days if not weeks. Finally: A request to the team. More attention from guests. Please take “warm” cuisine more seriously. Cleanliness needs to be improved urgently throughout the entire house.

Super nice and good and sooooo great atmosphere when the Jokers play

Food was good and came very quickly. Toilets were dirty, cold and simply unacceptable!!!! The waitress had a quick mouth, which was funny at first and then eventually too much. At 10:30 p.m. we were informed that the restaurant was actually already closed. Our waitress consumed more alcohol than we caused a few shards towards the end.

Very good lunch menu at a reasonable price. Very friendly service. We would be happy to come back again.

Was here years ago. This time with 2 dear friends. The decor is categorized as “Bavarian with lots of wood.” The service is also Bavarian, but on the ball. Top! Only the food beats the service. My schnitzel - Viennese style - was superbly prepared, sufficient - even for gourmands! The other two dishes were 1/2 duck with apple cabbage and potato dumpling, and a Wiener Schnitzel (of veal) which was also top! The Kaiserschmarrn is also great. Unfortunately there is no lactose-free milk here. Too bad. Go there, not cheap or cheap, but worth every cent!

Service was very good, as was the food. The staff very friendly and in a good mood. Ambience rustic but furnished with love. That's what I call a "Bavarian tavern". When we are back in Munich, we will definitely come back!

Beautiful Munich inn with good home cooking and a beer garden. A little hidden near the zoo.

My first (and last) visit here. I ordered a non-alcoholic Augustiner from the bar waiter and was laughed at. When I asked what was so funny, I was told that “it’s just hilarious.” When I explained that I didn't drink alcohol, I was told that I didn't know what a beer tasted like and that you don't drink "something like that". When you arrive at the table you can enjoy a Greek farmer's salad for €21.20 or Kässpatzn for €19... (But of course everyone has to know for themselves how much the food is worth.) A friend of mine then wanted to change her baby in a toilet where broken tile shards protruded from the wall next to the changing table within easy reach of the lying child. Dirty toilet, with cobwebs and dirty walls, that puts the €22 for a farmer's salad into perspective... It's all a shame, actually a nice place.

Self-service beer price for 0.5ml €4.10 is way too expensive. Not recommended. 09/22/24 unbelievable! The spare ribs were ok, normal portion, side dish was on offer but didn't look particularly tempting. So I ordered a pretzel. This was soft without any particular bite. Ordering was hardly possible. Behind me, one of the staff was clattering the dishes so loudly that you could barely hear what you were saying. As a drink I wanted a shandy. It was abruptly said that there is only one measure here! One measure was too much for me. I had to order the drink from a waitress. The Radler 0.5 ml then costs €5.10; One measure would have cost a little over €7. SUPER! The rude, primitive tone finished me off. Unfortunately, I had already paid for the food I ordered, otherwise I would have left straight away. The outside menu is awesome. Anyone who can read this must have very special eagle eyes. On a positive note, a member of staff came and helped me bring my food and drink to the table. It was the only polite staff there. I'm not surprised either, it was a beautiful evening, great weather, the beer garden was almost empty. Apparently this is the receipt for it. Not recommended!!

We didn't like it. The food was really not good. After the gratinated liver cheese, my husband had a night full of nausea. The Kaiserschmarrn, on the other hand, was quite okay. The service tried very hard, but was completely overwhelmed. And...compared to many other beer gardens in Munich, we missed a pleasant atmosphere. Too bad!

Harlachinger Refreshment Bavarian, down-to-earth, good. Yesterday while eating in the serviced area. Sparerips and Kaiserschmarrn. Meat tender and plentiful. You could have ordered a second helping. The Hawaiian sauce was very tasty. Kaiserschmarrn freshly prepared - a dream (also says an Austrian 🤣) This time served by Anja. Great service! Very friendly & quick, even though her area was very busy. It was - once again - a beautiful afternoon/evening with very good weather. Just the many! Wasps this year have been a nuisance. Large playground on the edge of the beer garden was well attended by younger guests, but not "disturbing" The outdoor area of ​​the Harlachinger Einkehr is great. Serviced and self-service area. All dishes on the menu can also be ordered from the self-service area and picked up at the entrance to the kitchen. Also easily accessible by public transport (tram 15 or 25 - Tiroler Platz). Conclusion: definitely come by.

Toilets could be renovated, otherwise the food was good and the service was friendly. We'll be back!

Very nice beer garden and nice staff. And the children's offer is also great, I have to say. My little one loves it there and he always gets ice cream at the end when we go. He got it for free twice, which I think is really sweet - the little one is always happy. We'd love to come

Mini beer garden in a good location on a bike tour, but the staff is just drinking and smoking before they condescend to the guest every now and then and forget half of it when serving. Waiting times are underground! We'll never see this location again!

A terrible experience! Last Sunday afternoon, the place wasn't very full, but even so, we'd been waiting for more than 20 minutes and no one had come to our table, which was at the back. When a waiter approached a table nearby, I smiled so that he would see us and come over to us. But, the old waiter looked me and simply shouted growling back to me: "don't look at me. Don't look at me like that. I'm coming!" I kept smiling, as it's my default way of being polite to people, but I didn't understand the hostile look and words, so I looked at my German boyfriend who was already stunned by the brutality of the comment. My boyfriend was really pissed. We left at the same time, me not understanding the reason for such rudeness and my boyfriend very angry at the way the waiter had spoken to me, unnecessarily! And he didn't even know I was a foreigner, because I was simply smiling at him. So, I cannot reccomend such place, as the service was really hostile and rude!

Unfortunately, our first visit to the “Harlachinger Einkehr” was a bitter disappointment. The shabby atmosphere, the unmotivated service and ultimately the extremely bad food - in our case duck (probably thawed and absolutely dry) as well as the loveless roast pork crust - are simply underground. To be fair, you have to at least praise the potato dumplings and the coleslaw - hence one star.

Ate well. Unfortunately the employee was a bit inattentive...

In fact, it was the only house during our four-day stay in Munich where we as a family experienced hospitality. The children were fully taken into account with a play area and children's menu and there were mega prices for quite large children's portions, and an extra sausage for our youngest was not an issue at all. The service was friendly, patient, listened to us and explained a lot. It was such a pleasant final experience after the last bankruptcies - thank you for that!

The Augustiner was perfect and reasonably priced. The spare ribs were outrageously expensive and tough as leather. I will In the future, only drink beer and bring your own snack.

Excellent food at fantastic prices - roast pork with dumplings for children for under €10 was very cheap considering the quantity (even an adult would have been fed up!). Special recommendations: Kaiserschmarrn (wonderfully caramelized), roast pork (with a crispy crust) and the 1/4 duck!

Because of the proximity to the retreat, we sometimes come here with our 5-year-old son. Unfortunately the play area is not very well maintained. No sand, the climbing frame is broken and boards are not firmly attached, which is a danger. The two trampolines are past their best. The food is average. The service at the drinks counter wasn't that nice yesterday either.

Great ambience and the Cordon Bleu was first class!

Traditional beer garden in a great location with a nice ambience. Unfortunately, it is only partially suitable for small children, as one of two trampolines was broken and the climbing frame was missing a central ladder rung, a rope and a crossbar, so it can only be used to a very limited extent. The beer garden menu in the unattended area was very limited and so faded that it was barely legible. The food itself was pretty average. With 200 euros spent on the playground (repairing the ladder, attaching a rope and attaching a slide to the climbing frame) and a more readable (and perhaps a little modern) beer garden map, you could quickly achieve major improvements!

A very nice Augustinian beer garden. The price is high, but the entire workforce is still there after Corona short-time work. The trampoline corner is noisy, so if you're looking for some peace and quiet, it's better to sit far away. Unfortunately, the constant honking from the charcoal grill master is annoying.

Wir hatten durchaus schon mal bessere Erfahrungen mit der Harlachinger Einkehr gemacht. Aber zum erneuten Mal war das Essen sehr enttäuschend, die Ente war uralt, aufgewärmt und Soße mit Knödeln schmeckten ranzig, schade. Wir wollen nicht wissen, wie gerade eben die Küche geführt wird. Immerhin schmeckte das Bier gut wie immer und die Bedienung war professionell, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

We had definitely had better experiences with the Harlachinger Einkehr. But once again the food at the tables with service was unfortunately very disappointing, the duck was ancient, warmed up and the sauce with dumplings even tasted rancid, a shame. We don't want to know how the kitchen is being run. At least the beer tasted good as always and the service was professional, very friendly, attentive and obviously very keen to make up for the situation.

The Augustiner comes from a wooden barrel and I can recommend the beef tartare as a specialty.

The atmosphere and location is very nice. The large playground is also very practical for families as you can keep an eye on the little ones. Also nice is that the children's drink is free. My new favorite Biergarten. They did a great job in providing public viewing of the Germany vs Spain game. Great energy!

We actually just go to the beer garden. This offers many shady places. Price performance is top for the spareribs and Steckerlfisch. Happy hour for drinks is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Buckets with washing water for the beer tables would be a good improvement

The staff is unprofessional and slow. The whole atmosphere seems a bit loveless and outdated. Our fried chicken was very dry and tasted like old fry fat. The complaint was accepted without comment. A pity! There are much better pubs in Munich.

The food is delicious and varied. The friendliness of the service is very changeable and sometimes ignoring. The senior manager doesn't even say hello. The ambience outside is decreasing more and more. The urinal has been broken for ages, often no towel paper. It stinks extremely and that's why the window is always open, whether summer or winter. It's a shame that the negative points are obviously not being worked on.

We had obazda and matjes. The Obazda is made from cream cheese and not Camembert and butter. Serve with side dishes of apple and strawberries. It's really inappropriate or bad. The pretzels that came with it were both soft and stale. The matjes are mostly sauce. The restaurant is getting old and the plaster outside is crumbling. Two stars because the beer (Augustiner) is good. Otherwise forgettable.

Awesome food in a great Biergarten with live music. Open bbq. I had the spare ribs that we cooked just right with not much wet rub. Service was slow and our server kept forgetting items.

It's simply unbelievable how the staff gives you the feeling of disturbing you as soon as you enter this really beautiful beer garden! With the closure of the Menterschwaige two years ago, the Harlachinger Einkehr should actually be overcrowded every evening and on weekends, but just try ordering a shandy in two halves and then you'll know why the benches are empty. The staff across the board is just so unbelievably unfriendly that you're at a loss for words - and the quality of the food hardly makes up for it, even if the grill master is definitely a highlight of the team! I hope it gets taken over by the overdue new tenant!

Dear Harlachinger Einkehr team, My brother and I visited their beer garden on Monday, May 20th and shared two pork steaks and spare ribs for dinner. Unfortunately we both got food poisoning. It is impossible that the cause of this lies somewhere else, as we did not eat together or eat the same foods on this or the previous day. Birthday dinner was an absolute failure! The incompetent, unfriendly waiter doesn't even take the time to take the order properly, 1 meal (the birthday child) is missing, he brings three and when I ask if he's forgotten my meal I'm contacted because it wasn't clear what I wanted He wanted to eat exactly and he had absolutely no time and was totally stressed. When he then deliberately ignored me when ordering drinks, I complained to the boss. Despite her request to apologize to me, I was left with further insolence. This is not how we imagined our birthday dinner would be! Toilets absolutely dingy - yuck! 1 is also locked with so much activity! Conclusion: poor service Toilets disgusting What a shame about money and time!!!

Ich habe selten so dreckige Toiletten gesehen. Hier wurde seit Wochen nicht mehtr geputzt. Überall alte Spinnweben, Staub, Spinnenleichen, überquellende Papierbehälter, dreckige Waschbecken. Wie sieht es da wohl in der Küche aus?

Meine Bewertung betrifft nur den Selbstbedienungsteil des Biergartens! Nach einer augiebigen Wanderung an der Isar wollen wir gemütlich im Freien sitzen und eine Kleinigkeit essen und trinken. Leider geht von den beiden riesigen Trampolinen am Spielpatz ein fast infernalischer Lärm aus und das Speisenangebot an der Selbstbedienung ist leider sehr begrenzt. Zudem fehlen auf den Tafeln jegliche Preisangaben für die Speisen, nur die Getränke sind ausgepreist. Fazit: Preiwertes Bier und eine völlig ausgebrutzelte, angekohlte fast versteinerte Bratwurst. Für Familien mit Kindern mag es erträglich sein, müde Wanderer sollten dort lieber fern bleiben. Übrigens: Den antiken Toiletten täte eine Generalsanierung auch mal ganz gut.

Cozy restaurant in a rustic style with a village character. Very friendly and courteous service. No long waiting times after ordering food. Good taste and large enough portions. A highlight are the fried chicken. I have been to the restaurant many times and will continue to go there.
