Every dish is presented with love, and you can tell that quality and flavor are truly taken seriously here. Everything tastes exceptionally good – each dish a little highlight in itself. What we appreciate about Happy Buddha is that the standard is consistently outstanding, making every visit a pleasure. A restaurant we can wholeheartedly recommend – welcoming, delicious, and always wonderful.

Update: chicken or bull on fire foll me with absolutely happiness. Absolutely brilliant place. Nice staff and owners. General Tsao New York chicken and Mr ginger chicken also excellent. Kids adore it. Keep up the good work!! Excellent and authentic Chinese, of which there are not many in Berlin. Very very well set up for Corona rules and 2G. 👍👍👍

The service has deteriorated considerably. No service. Unmotivated waitress. Wasn't full! After 20 minutes, she hadn't even been asked for a drink. She left. The new "waiting staff" is unfortunately completely incompetent and should be fired without notice.

We've been eating there fairly regularly for years, but what we experienced recently was abysmal. First, you stand in the entrance area for ages and are barely noticed. Tea trolleys roll back and forth, serving drinks and food. In the past, a waiter would bring them by hand. Then you finally get a "far too small" table for 4 people, with the glasses from the previous person still on it. The waitress didn't care, left them with us, and disappeared again. After a few minutes (about 10), we received our menus, and then she noticed that the glasses were in the way. She put the menus somewhere else and took the glasses away. In the meantime, she must have forgotten about us again. Eventually, we got menus. A total of two for 4 people. What service.... We got up and left, but she didn't care. They won't see us again for years!!! Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food because it never happened. The store wasn't full, about half to three-quarters full.

Super delicious food - Friday buffet! But: on Wednesdays and Thursdays, the waiter is extremely unfriendly. We've been here regularly for many years and have complained about the poor service, but it just doesn't help. I will avoid this restaurant in the future. You won't be treated so condescendingly at other locations.

Despite the restaurant being busy, the food was served quickly - ideal for those who have little time or simply don't want to wait long. Overall, a completely successful experience. If you're looking for good food in a pleasant environment, Happy Buddha is the right place for you.

Best Asian cuisine in the south of Berlin. The service 1a. Unfortunately there is no longer a buffet.

In the years that we have been visiting this restaurant, we simply have to praise the delicious, fresh food 👍🏻where there is light...now the dark side: Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities have become worse and worse over time, there is a lack of cleanliness and regular inspection of the toilets. It's a real shame, because it's not just the good cuisine that makes a veritable gastronomy 😏

We enter the restaurant and immediately feel confirmed in our choice by the Asian ambience. Friendly, always attentive staff guide us to our seats, which provide a quiet atmosphere. Then we decide on the specialties; Painted duck red curry, beef bull on fire and prawns Hong Kong fisherman style. Wow!! Brilliant! Not to be outdone in Berlin! We will pass on our recommendation to our friends.

Went there today with our mother-in-law and our 2 big dogs and were thrilled! Great and attentive service, the food was super tasty and even the "Hugo" was well mixed.

Unfriendly, loud service, stressful atmosphere. After the cook made a mistake (not gluten-free), we were loudly reprimanded by the manager about what we wanted, because they would buy the sauces and dishes ready-made and don't know what was included. You can't eat here if you have allergies, nor if you want to wait half an hour for a condition. An annoyed couple left the restaurant after 35 minutes without being served. There is a point because one waiter was at least friendly.

My wife and I ate there again after a long time. Overall we were again very satisfied. The portions are very large and taste excellent. My wife had chicken with broccoli in an oyster sauce. I once again chose caramelized chicken with vegetables and pineapple. Both meals were very tasty.

We reserved a table for 4 people in advance. When we entered the restaurant we had the impression that the staff were overwhelmed by our arrival. We were assigned a table and the cards were available quickly, but then the long period of ignorance began. Even though there were always waiters around, we seemed to be nothing to them. Even after contacting him several times, nothing happened. After 45 minutes of waiting, we left this unfriendly place and no one seemed to care. It's a shame what this store has become. A no go zone for us now. By the way, we went to get something to eat from the friendly Croatian across the street because we were hungry.

Old Chinese restaurant. You can do it with a clear conscience.

Ich kann die 1 oder 2 Sterne Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Sehr! leckeres Essen und der Chef kocht selbst. Wir sind seit 1996 Stammgäste. Das Essen schmeckt immer wieder herausragend. Preise sind gehobener aber gerechtfertigt. Empfehlenswert ist die Lackente in mehreren Ausführungen, Klassisch, Thai u.a. Wir fahren extra 1 Stunde zu diesem Restaurant um die Köstlichkeiten zu genießen.

We were here for a family birthday and we all went home full and happy. :) The food was fresh, authentic & very tasty. We can especially recommend the Lack Duck Peking Style & Mister Ginger Beef. Our hostess was very courteous & attentive. As a farewell, there was even a little gift for the children and adults on the occasion of the upcoming holidays. Thank you for the lovely evening! :))

We had dinner there yesterday, so Sunday it was really disgusting, the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all and our food with chicken tasted like factory farming and like rubber, the main thing is that the cash register rings, my daughter's soup and main meal were miserable, we'll never go there again, ugh man You should be ashamed of telling people something like that.

My son wanted to spend his 20th birthday there with his girlfriend in beautiful surroundings and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the waiter in charge was so demotivated and uninterested that even after requesting a small gesture, i.e. congratulations, a candle, etc., the response was ignored. This happened in the period from 1800....a shame, the service should be reasonable even for young people...Especially on such an occasion!

Obviously not a new management system - as I first thought. As always, I ordered crispy duck and sour and spicy soup. The service is very polite. The ambience, especially the walls, are no longer painted in Chinese style and it was unbearably warm because there was no air conditioning. Unfortunately, the "crispy duck" was very dry and tasteless - probably because the typical fat edge was not there. However, the ice cream with gratinated banana that followed was very good.

I called 2 hours in advance and asked for a take-away menu. I would be told it wouldn't be a problem. I took extra time and then they said there were no more tickets. I was just left standing. I called again this evening to ask when there would be new cards to take away. The participant at the other end just said he was at the end. No service... Wouldn't give a star.

It's a typical Allyoucaneat, €25 per person without drinks. Everything was fresh and sufficiently available. There is space for many people there. I know such restaurants with an even larger buffet offering, more selection or different pricing policies, for example €29 and all drinks are free. Sushi, soups, fried foods, fresh foods for frying and some well-known hot dishes. Cake and fruit, soft ice cream as dessert. Therefore 4 stars for okay. Small children found the delivery robot very cute.

We dropped by spontaneously at the weekend, were warmly greeted, sat outside (very nice under the tree, totally quiet) and got drinks very quickly and the food was also quick. The rice: really plenty! (Large container for 2 people) And it was nice that everyone could take whatever they wanted. The respective (different) curries were tasty, but somewhat very mildly spiced. The chili paste provided on the table helped - it was also quite mild (we don't eat that spicy), but still a welcome addition in terms of taste. The atmosphere and the team: consistently nice and pleasant. Absolutely recommended after, for example, a hike across the Marienfeld Heights.

So we were there shortly before Christmas and now again... well I have to say service, well you are ignored at first so you get the card yourself - then you grabbed the wrong one so you have to look again. OK, but then a very nice, polite woman comes along, somehow so friendly that it's uncomfortable. Finished eating and the chicken smelled funny and was very unseasoned. The beef dish was ok but nothing you couldn't get elsewhere. The table next to us wouldn't even be cleared for half an hour. The price is simply too expensive for that. That's why I wouldn't eat there again / but I wasn't particularly happy with the name. Unfortunately, today on June 9th, 2024 I didn't want to give the whole thing another chance. Unfortunately it's the same thing again - you're ignored - no drinks come. And the table next door has already been waiting 40 minutes for food. So that was really the last thing you should do - go to the Croatian restaurant across the street - Service 1.

I ate here when it opened and I have to say that hardly anything has changed here. It's delicious like it was in my childhood and please never change 💖

I have enjoyed being a guest at Happy Buddha for over 20 years. There is a very wide selection of dishes, so I have several “favorite dishes”. The lacquer duck is a specialty of the house and - like a visit to Happy Buddha in general - highly recommended.

We haven't eaten here for several years and were once again satisfied with the food and the friendly service. Only the ambience is still the same, a lot could be improved here. The food selection is extensive, good and appropriate to the current prices. Here are a few tips: please ask about the preparation when ordering, unfortunately for some dishes it is not clear. (E.g.: crispy, breaded or without). It's better to come by public transport, as parking spaces are very difficult here. There is actually a stop in front of the door.

We ate here with our parents 20 years ago and it was great. I was happy to find out that it is still the same operator as before. The food is very rich and very tasty, the prices are correspondingly worth it but it's definitely worth it. The service is very friendly and accommodating, checking in on you every now and then. I can only recommend the happy buddha, a great restaurant then as it is today.

“Happy” was once. We ate here again after a long time. Apparently not only was the restaurant remodeled, but the management also changed. The sour spicy soup was okay. The duck was dry and the vegetables and sauce were bland and limp. My duck was supposed to be spicy, but even that was hardly noticeable. And that for 21€. The service was average. We found the “chatter” between the waitresses to be disturbing. That was our last visit to this restaurant.

The food is very good there. I just can't recommend trying to eat with children at lunchtime. Apparently there is speculation here on business customers. After 40 minutes I left with my daughter with the starter but no main course. All the guests who came after us have already received their food. It's a shame about that. They apologized but that doesn't change the situation.

Der hintere Gastraum ist gemütlich und bietet auch Platz für 10 Personen an einem Runden Tisch mit Drehplatte. Die Speisen sind von der Suppe bis zum Dessert lecker und nett angerichtet. Der Service könnte etwas schneller sein.

Schönes chinesisches Restaurant. Das Essen ist dort sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und flink. Meistens gut besucht und bei mehr als 2 Personen wäre es besser zu reservieren. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Wir hatten reserviert. Das war gut und wichtig. Alle Tische besetzt. Essen und Service waren sehr gut. Würden sehr freundlich behandelt.

Gemütliches Restaurant und leckeres Essen.

Wir waren schon Mal dort, aber dieses Mal war unsere Ente verbrannt und zum Teil sehr fest. Außerdem war die Bedienung sehr unflexibel. Wir wollten statt Reis Eierreis. Die Beatensoce die extra kam hat nach nichts geschmeckt, ebenso die Soce wo dass Gemüse mit der Ente kam war völlig lasch. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht!!!

Bester Chinese in Berlins Süden. Wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Essen war immer hervorragend. Bin gerne dort.

Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr in einem chinesischem Restaurant wie dem Happy Buddha so gut gegessen und auch der Service war Top. Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns weitere Gerichte von der Speisekarte zu probieren..

Komme gerne hierher, auch wenn ich 8km fahren muss. Der Service ist gut und die Gerichte sind sehr gut. Die Portionsgrössen sind sehr gross.

Absolut zu empfehlen. Ambiente und Service (sehr persönlich)hervorragend, das Essen wirklich herausragend. Wir hatten als kleine Gruppe Peking Ente, wirklich sehr gut!
