Most delicious food I ate in Berlin. After spending days suffering under a culture of spice-aversion, this was a revelation. Sichuan chicken was powerfully yummy.

Amazing and authentic Chinese food. We think, one of the best Chinese restaurants in Berlin. My wife is Chinese and I lived in China for a decade. Big recommendation.

Delicious and authentic food, as well as the location, it’s simple but authentic, which i like very much. The staff and its service is on point. I highly recommend Da Jia Le and i will definitely come back.

Excellent food and a different selection of dishes that I know from other Chinese restaurants. Really great. There is a star deduction for our service. I think we were unlucky and caught the employee who didn't feel like it and made us feel it. I think the service is better if you sit downstairs anyway. Nevertheless, I would come back, only then would I hopefully get another service person.

Great food, nice and spicy and - as far as I can tell - authentic. The team was also super friendly. We were there on weekday evenings and even then it was busy, so better make a reservation! Attention: Girocard only, no credit card possible.

Very tasty and authentic, especially the dumplings! 1 star deducted because I think the chicken could have been juicier and more intensely seasoned.

Did a delivery of seafood with tofu stew (through Wolt) and there was hardly any mixed seafood in it - most of it was surimi sticks (which is highly processed fish sticks with chemicals). Also, the packaging was terrible - a lot of it leaked in the bag. Bad experience overall.

This is a favourite amongst locals and anyone with an appetite. Great value and great flavors. One should go here simply to have a wonderful and hearty meal. More of a mess hall style atmosphere but everyone is satisfied. Excellent Chinese food.

The food tastes excellent and you can't complain. However, it takes far too long to order and pay, and the store has no ventilation. You have to have everything you wear cleaned immediately to get the kitchen smell out.

Everything is just great. Very international, younger audience at the large, round turntables. Very tasty northern Chinese food. I recommend the cuttlefish strips, the beef with cumin and my favorite dish: the fried pork stomach slices. I've enjoyed going there for many years.

the food is just fine, if one has no expectations. the option of sharing (small) dishes seems recommendable in this venue, as such is not unlikely to balance out the experience. service is friendly and not slow. the process of acclimatizing to the ambiente may take some time (to put it mildly), and one will probably have to turn a blind eye to some things or features, which simply don't fit in.

This place made me homesick for the Chinatown restaurants in New York. I love it and it’s my new go to Chinese spot as a New Yorker in Berlin. The food is on paar with some of New Yorks best Chinese food. Authentic and stellar. This place made me very happy.

Genuine Chinese food, recommended!

For me personally the best Chinese in Berlin. It looks a bit inconspicuous from the outside and the furnishings largely avoid the somewhat tasteless kitsch that we know from some Chinese villagers, but it is very cozy once you're inside. The selection of dishes is very extensive and if you are a fan of spicy food and authentic Chinese spices such as Sichuan pepper, you will get your money's worth here. There are also a handful of vegetarian dishes to choose from. Another highlight is the beer menu. Interestingly, the restaurant has a large selection of excellent craft beers. In terms of price, the whole thing is about mid-range and definitely justified for me given the quality. Only the toilets could be a little cleaner for my taste.

A great restaurant: very nice service, a varied menu with many dishes that you can't get anywhere else. All of our dishes (starters, meat, vegetarian) were delicious! Everything is also very family-friendly, we were there with two kids. You can still work on the ambience, it's getting a bit old.

You would get five stars from me. Unfortunately, the two stars are deducted because you deliver with Wolt. Wolt took forever and delivered cold and sticky food. Do yourself a favor and find another supplier. Good luck!

Very authentic Chinese restaurant (from the perspective of a China traveler). The food was very tasty and an interesting experience in terms of taste. Some dishes are special and you have to like them (e.g. Sichuan style with aniseed). We ordered a variety of typical Chinese dishes and shared them. The atmosphere is relatively simple...

Unfortunately not a secret spot anymore, this local gem is now well known in and outside of Berlin. The dishes are very authentic and the service very friendly. We always visit now during the week because it is way too crowded at the weekend. Order the spicy Chicken, eggplants and the spicy sichuan beef!

Good food, service and bit slow

We were pleasantly surprised during our visit today and I have to say it deserves 5 stars without a doubt! The food was exceptionally good. We ate our way through all the vegetarian dishes and each one suited our tastes. Additionally, the fish stew and crispy chicken were to die for. Another highlight was the huge selection of beers that was offered with the food. This variety really rounded off the culinary experience. For anyone looking for authentic, quality Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. The quality of the food, the variety of the menu and the great drink selection make it worth a visit.

I was in Beijing a few weeks ago and the food at Da Jia Le is just as delicious as in China itself - super authentic. You can feel the European influence when it comes to the spiciness ;) Highly recommended!!

Food is super delicious. Service is good. Acoustics are bad, sounds like a chicken coop when it's full. I couldn't hear my partner even though he was sitting opposite... Gladly again anyway

food was good, especially fried dishes, except for fried rice, which was ok. quite louzy, talking with friends, sort of restaurant, not a quiet dining place. would be quite challenging to order if you're not familiar with chinese dishes, and photos do help, but not much.

Alles Gerichte waren in Ordnung. Ich war früher schon mal hier und in meiner Erinnerung war das Essen damals besser gewesen. Ich komme trotzdem wieder vorbei falls ich mal in der Gegend bin.

If you’re looking for authentic flavors, this is not the place for it. I was encouraged by the authentic look of the restaurant, just like found back in China, where I used to live, but unfortunately the food is just adjusted to Western flavors. We ordered eggplant hotpot, Sichuan tofu, green peppers, cucumber salad, and sticky sweet potatoes, all lacked proper spice, the dishes tasted as if the sauces and oil were watered down. On a plus side, the staff is friendly and attentive.

The food was absolutely bland. We ordered a lot of dishes and all had no taste and the little taste it had was not good. We had many vegetarian dishes. The menu looked very authentic but the taste was very white washed and not good at all.

Very tasty for a very decent price. The cold starters are particularly good. A lot of things on the menu I didn’t try that looked good too. It can be tricky to get a table, we waited about 25 minutes.

음식이 중국, 한국 사람보다는 독일 사람 입 맛에 맞춰져 있어요. 특히 지삼선에 감자 안 들어가서 대충격. 메뉴판에도 감자 들어있다고 명시되어 있었으나 아무런 노티스없이 감자를 양파로 대체했어서 많이 실망스러웠습니다.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Berlin. The Chicken Gong Bao, the pork with pancakes as well as any of the dishes with eggplant (for example the 118) are extremely delicious.

Authentisches, Leckeres und nicht alltägliches chinesisches Essen. Wer mal etwas weg vom Mainstream will, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben!

As an Asian person who’s now living in nyc - I have to preface that Asian food I’ve tried in Berlin has much room for improvement. I’ve been to a couple places with great reviews and ended up mildly disappointed. The food here is ok, not authentic the way I’ve had in China or Bangkok, or some really good places in NYC or London, but it wasn’t bad. The service was fast and the servers were attentive. We thought the price was fair too One down side is that we found a crumbled paper in our rice bowl. All in all, if you’re used to Chinese food from China or Asia, don’t expect this to be the same

A down to earth, fast Chinese restaurant. The food is delicious and comes out fast. The price was also reasonable.

Habe schon oft im Da Jia Le Essen zum mitnehmen geholt. Schmeckt immer sehr gut, wirkt sehr authentisch. Das Essen unterscheidet sich teils deutlich von anderen China- Restaurants. Es gibt viele lokale Gerichte aus Nordchina und dem Landesinneren. Ein Besuch bzw. eine Bestellung lohnen sich auf jeden Fall für Freunde fernöstlicher Küche. Die Speisekarte gibt es auch online. Am liebsten esse ich das sehr scharfe Schweinefleisch nach Sichuan Art.

Gut gelegenes Lokal mit schmackhaften Speisen und Getränken sowie aufmerksamem und hilfsbereitem Personal

Sehr authentisches chinesisches Restaurant. Eine tolle Karte mit vielen Spezialitäten, die es nicht überall gibt. Es lohnt sich mit mehreren Personen hinzugehen und mehrere Gerichte zum Teilen zu wählen. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung meinerseits.
