HANS IM GLÜCK - PASSAU Stadtgalerie in Passau

Wir kommen aus Österreich und fahren einmal Mal im Jahr ( an meinem Geburtstag) immer nach Passau. Für mich ist immer klar, dass wir dann dort essen. Wir wurden schnell bedient und das Essen und die Getränke waren sehr lecker. Die Kellnerin Nr. 17 ist einfach top. Freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

Sehr gute Burger, knusprige Pommes, leckere Getränke, nette Personal, kurze Wartezeiten, was will man mehr. Unser Lokal bei Familien-Ausflug nach Passau

Sehr leckeres Essen, Veganer, Vegetarisch und Fleisch. Alles harmonisch beinander. Schön zum draußen sitzen. Top Mädels im Service, super freundlich, sehr Aufmerksam und zackig unterwegs. Gute Lage zwischen Bahnhof und Altstadt. Hier bin ich gerne.

Die Burger und vorallem das Fleisch ist leider nicht mehr so lecker

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal bei Hans im Glück. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, der Service spitze und es ging wirklich flott. Unsere Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und super freundlich. Wir werden auf auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Wir kamen sehr spät und gingen satt.

Einfach tolles Essen! Das vegane Essen sowie auch Burger mit Fleisch sind bei Hans im Glück einfach LECKER! Die Getränke sind auch sehr zu empfehlen. Kellnerin 17 war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Die Bedienung mit der Nr. 17 war super freundlich, schnell und hat gute Laune verbreitet.

Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Die Burger war lecker, die Preise sind ok. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Unakzeptable Preise, Service, der nur Deutsch spricht und ziemlich inkompetent ist, nette Atmosphäre, aber den Preis nicht wert, der schlimmste Ort überhaupt.

Die Servicekraft Nr. 17 ist außergewöhnlich nett und hat alles perfekt erklärt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Schade dass man nur 5 Sterne geben kann.

Es war alles perfekt 🤩 Eine außergewöhnlich freundliche Bedienung, das Essen dauerte nur wenige Minuten und war richtig gut 👍🏻 Und nicht zu vergessen die Getränkeempfehlung, diese war auch spitze 🍹 Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch 🤗

Service ist eher langsam, Preis-Leistung-Qualität ok, Nachspeise - Vanilleeis war son Kombi mit dem warmen Schokokuchen schon mehr zerlaufen, Essen und dann auch das 2. Getränk haben auf sich eine ganze Weile warten lassen. Bezahlen ging auf Grund Schichtwechsel recht zügig, aber der Beleg kam nicht mehr.

Viele vegane Optionen. Vier verschiedene Burgerbrötchen zur Auswahl. Diverse Burger, Bowls und mehr. Sehr freundliches Personal. Ich kann dieses Lokal nur empfehlen. Alle veganen Gerichte sind deutlich gekennzeichnet. Auch alle Allergene. So sollte es Standard sein.

Super Essen, super nette Bedienung, Sitze sind etwas unbequem aber das ist in jedem Hans im Glück gleich. Bedienung nr 49 ist sehr hilfsbereit

Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly. The restaurant used to be extremely child-friendly, clean, and everyone was super nice. Today, the restrooms are a disgrace (sinks broken for months, no soap, trash cans overflowing, and everything dirty). If you arrive with a stroller, you'll get a rude eye roll. The waiter repeatedly bumps into the stroller with the baby. We've had severe stomach aches and nausea twice in a row after our visit. We waited over an hour for our food. It was probably our last visit... Too bad.

A friendly welcome at the entrance, and you're assigned a seat—what more could you want for a start? Plus, quick and friendly service and a delicious burger and fries. I felt very comfortable and well looked after, thank you for that. The restaurant is located on the edge of the old town, so you can park in the parking garage or a little further away, but the walk is worth it.

Excellent burgers and fries in a pleasant atmosphere! The waitress was very attentive and friendly, and the truffle mayo was divine! We would come back anytime.

So, unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. There were three of us, two friends and me. We always choose something special because we always make extra time for it. We arrived and were shown to a table right in the middle of the action. I had made a reservation in advance and wrote that we would like a quiet spot in the corner if possible. When we arrived, it was barely busy. A few tables outside were occupied, but not so busy. I told the lady that I had a reservation and had requested a quieter table. She then said that only two areas were open, and if we sat in the quiet spot, we could easily be overlooked... well, it was very clear that the lady just wasn't in the mood, and she then said, somewhat grumpily, that there were only two of them today. We told her that she would definitely manage, and if not, we could come to her. Then it began... cocktail, smoothie, and thirst quencher without straws because "someone messed up the order"... Ah, okay! Then, the salad was a relief, not so much a relief... the lettuce was wilted and completely mushy... also (we had it twice) there were three stalks in the lettuce once per portion, and once twice (some pictures taken). The fries with truffle mayo weren't crispy either, and the lettuce on top was wilted... I mentioned it. The lady said she was sorry, but nothing more. Incidentally, it really took forever for someone to come. Also, the toilet paper towels were out, and one of the two sinks was broken. Generally, everything was very dirty, which isn't what you're used to at Hans im Glück... so, unfortunately, it didn't have much to do with luck anymore. It's a real shame, since just two weeks ago I wrote an application for a job at a Hans im Glück in Munich, where we were more than satisfied... a shame, and yes, maybe they should refresh their knowledge of what's important and how to handle complaints...

Awesome atmosphere. I've just been pleasantly surprised by the taste twice. Try the Schlingel for dessert! Update 2025/08: Unfortunately, not all ingredients are always available. For example, on 4 out of 6 visits, there was no pistachio cream for the Schlingel. On 3 out of 6 visits, there were unfortunately no Smashburgers. So, everything the kids wanted to come here for...

Good concept. Beer prices are borderline high.

When we're in Passau, we often go to Hans im Glück. The burgers are really delicious, and you know you're getting good quality. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes is also great. If the restaurant is really busy, you might have to wait a bit longer, but that's worth it. In return, you get a great taste experience.

During my visit to "Hans im Glück" today, the establishment perfectly demonstrated why the chain had to file for bankruptcy just two weeks ago. Had I known this fact in advance, I would have probably avoided the restaurant. It was only through a brief internet search that I learned of this situation from a visibly annoyed neighbor who, after more than 20 minutes (!), had still not been noticed by the waiter. But now to today's "experience": Just before 1 p.m., I and my companions sat down at a table in front of the restaurant because the restaurant we were originally planning to go to was closed. This proved to be our downfall. After about 15 minutes, a server finally took our order. Of course, some waiting time was to be expected, but the lunch business was largely over, and the crowd seemed manageable. After more than an hour (!), half of the people at the table received their food, and the other two dishes were forgotten. All the main courses were ICE COLD. When the waiter asked a short time later if everything was okay, I expressed my displeasure about the cold dishes and also informed him that half of the dishes were still missing. These weren't brought for another 20 minutes and were just as cold. As if this didn't dampen the entire experience enough, after serving (there was no way to let anyone know in between, as the waiters weren't around), the entire situation was pointed out, after which the "manager" settled the bill. What can I say? This "person" thought it appropriate to actually waive drinks for his "guests" (which he theoretically was, but didn't feel like it) after such a glamorous stay. For one guest, "in his opinion, it wasn't possible to waive the drink because it was a set meal" (joker). When I pointed out that this was a complete impertinence, the waiter, in keeping with the principles of good hospitality, threatened to call the police. How appropriate! However, it is symbolic of this so-called "restaurant." All in all, I experienced firsthand today how this entire restaurant chain was driven into the ground. I wish the entire team that their sleeves slip down while washing their hands, and hopefully a gracious supervisor at the employment agency.

Today, we were unfortunately very disappointed! After an hour of waiting, we finally got our food. The fries were cold, the cheese on the burger was dry, and the bread was unfortunately no longer fresh. The fries at the next table were also sent back because they were cold. The guests constantly complained about the long wait! What a shame

The food at Hans im Glück in Passau is of a very high standard in terms of taste. The burgers are creatively selected, freshly prepared, and filling. Side dishes such as truffle fries with various sauces, fresh salads, bowls, as well as non-alcoholic cocktails and homemade drinks were also very good. The price initially seems a bit high, but the quality and portion size are justifiable. What struck me negatively was the very cramped interior design. The seats are close together, the tables are small, and the wood and plant ambiance quickly makes the interior feel cluttered. It's not really suitable for a longer stay – it gives more of a "dine-in and go" feel. As for the service, although friendly, in my case, it was too intrusive. We had already ordered a large amount – burgers, salad, sides, and several drinks – and were in the restaurant for about an hour. During this time, we were asked eleven times whether everything was okay or if we would like anything else. At a certain point, this no longer seems attentive, but rather annoying. Additionally, despite very low occupancy inside, we weren't able to sit at our preferred table. The reason given was that this area wasn't served – presumably because it was a bit further back. However, there's a door directly next to it leading to the outside area, which the staff frequently used anyway. In my opinion, it wouldn't have been a problem to serve this area as well. Conclusion: There are no complaints about the food; it was very good in terms of taste and quality. However, the cramped layout, limited seating, and excessive service detract from the overall impression. Therefore, I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Very tasty menu and really good drinks.

Upon our arrival, we were immediately warmly welcomed. We were traveling with a baby and stroller, but that wasn't a problem at all. A suitable table for all our belongings was immediately found, and a high chair was brought to us. We were allowed to leave our stroller with the waitress so we had more space at the table—how incredibly thoughtful and child-friendly can a restaurant be? I wasn't really expecting much, but I was totally pleasantly surprised! The burgers and sides were, as usual at Hans im Glück, delicious! At the end, the waitress even gave us tips for excursions in the area during our vacation. 😀 Thanks for a relaxing lunch as a family with a baby!

They have a delicious selection of burgers. Service was very accommodating.

This restaurant is definitely not worth recommending. The food tasted bland, the burger bun was dark brown, and the burger meat was tough and had probably been sitting for a while. It was our first time there and we'll never be back.

Burgers were okay. The side dishes were unfortunately rotten. The smash burger wasn't available. The beer dispenser was broken. We won't be coming back.

I had a Greek-style burger. The ouzo gazu was delicious, but the meat on the burger was quite cold and the portion was more for children.

Unfortunately, no friendly service when it came to questions about allergens (milk/gluten) - we left without eating.

Two of us were there today and actually just wanted a quick drink. So we sat down outside, and a woman came over with the menus. She made us wait quite a while before our drinks were brought. After that, we ordered our two iced teas, and the waitress was pretty annoyed that we only wanted a drink. After waiting for 20 minutes, we still didn't have our drinks. The waitress quickly passed us (again without drinks) and looked at the table. There she noticed that we already had the money for the two iced teas ready (without a tip, of course). Another 10 minutes later, we still had nothing to drink. We finally got up and left the restaurant. There we found the woman relaxing on her phone, enjoying her cigarette. She looked at us but didn't say anything else. I won't go there again; it's really too expensive for the service.

We were there for the second time today, and I have to say it was fantastic. Everything was great, burgers were hot and juicy. The staff, as always, were very friendly and helpful. Super good, would happily come back again, took advantage of the second opportunity. The support is also top-notch; they contact you immediately and find a solution if there is a problem. They take care of their customers, which isn't always the case in the restaurant industry.

We recently went to Hans im Glück and had a vegan burger, a burger with a beef patty, and a pound of fries. The burgers tasted okay, but both felt quite heavy on our stomachs afterward. Unfortunately, there was too little sauce on the beef burger, making it seem a bit dry. The overall feeling after the meal wasn't really satisfying either—full, yes, but somehow not entirely happy.

Excellent service, but tiny burgers. Smaller than Ronald's, but made from food. Smoker at the next table didn't help.

The food was brilliant! The service was nice and fast. The lady who brought the food spoke beautiful English and was really nice. I highly recommend it to everyone. It's not a very cheap place, but it's worth every cent.

We had a nice salad here for lunch. My salad had a piece of plastic in it, reported it and could choose between a free drink or dessert. I took the drink. It wasn't necessary but was very friendly 😊

Wir haben zwei Burger-Menüs bestellt und waren insgesamt sehr positiv überrascht. Mein Chicken-Burger war richtig lecker – das Fleisch war gut gewürzt, saftig und perfekt gegrillt. Das Brioche-Brötchen war weich, leicht süßlich und hat gut zusammengehalten. Die dicken Pommes waren außen schön knusprig und innen weich – genau so, wie ich sie mag. Dazu gab es einen cremigen Dip - hat super dazu gepasst. Auch der zweite Burger, im Mehrkornbrötchen, kam sehr gut an. Viel frisches Gemüse, ein würziges Patty – leicht pikant, aber nicht zu scharf. Der Krautsalat war knackig und frisch und hat das Ganze schön abgerundet.

The food was delicious. I didn't really like the burger, but the fries and sauces were tasty. The restaurant is quite expensive, though. I recommend trying it.
