I very rarely go to Hans im Glück, but when I do, there's nothing to complain about. There's always something for everyone: great cocktails, great burgers (including vegan and vegetarian options). I was very satisfied; the service was quick, and the staff is very friendly and fun. We felt very comfortable!

I thought long and hard about whether to share my experience. I'm not doing it to accuse anyone, but to share my perspective – in the hope that similar situations will be avoided in the future. I visit the Bochum branch regularly and really enjoy going there because the food is very good – especially the fries, which are always nice and crispy. Yesterday I went there again with my dog. The server showed great interest in my dog, which I generally thought was nice. Since I was sitting at the edge of the table, my dog ​​had to sit in the aisle. The server asked if he could give a "paw." Since my dog ​​was relaxed, I didn't mind and briefly explained the hand signal for it. However, while ordering, the server commented that my order was always "stupid/annoying." Later, she asked again if my dog ​​could turn around. I politely explained that he could, but it was too cramped and not the right setting for it, as I was there to eat with friends. When our food arrived, the waitress jokingly said my dog ​​was unlucky because I wouldn't "treat" him to have fries. At this point, I felt uncomfortable, as my personal boundaries had already been exceeded. Later, when I wanted my burger wrapped, the question came up again whether my dog ​​could "wave." I said he could, but without any verbal cues. She reacted very indignantly and said that she herself had a dog of the same breed. At this point, a professional level had been crossed, and I felt increasingly uncomfortable because the situation became increasingly personal and uncomfortable. Overall, it was a visit that unfortunately soured my otherwise highly valued place. I hope that in the future, a little more sensitivity will be shown in the way they treat guests – especially when animals are present. After all, dogs aren't there to entertain me.

Hans im Glück is located right in the city center and very centrally located. The staff is very friendly, and the location is something completely different. The food is fresh, such as the various burgers and salads. The thirst quenchers are also very refreshing.

A typical Hans im Glück restaurant. This branch is very spacious and, like all branches, pleasantly decorated with birch wood. The sauces on the table are delicious, and the dips you can order are even more so. The burgers are large, juicy, and beautifully composed. My goat cheese bowl, however, surpassed everything. Unfortunately, the lettuce wasn't washed perfectly, so it crunched here and there, but it didn't detract from the flavor. I added a little salt to the grilled vegetables, and the bowl was perfect. My guava thirst quencher was also sweet and fresh, and not too cold, so it was easy to drink. We'll definitely be back. The restrooms are unfortunately a bit musty despite five air fresheners, but they even mopped them in the afternoon. Thank you for making this a priority.

Let me put it this way: if you've never been to Hans im Glück, it's your own fault. Burgers in what feels like 100 different varieties, finger-licking finger food, and cocktails with and without alcohol, as well as signature lemonades. Attentive and very friendly staff, always with a smile. It's fun to watch the people at work there, and I was even delighted to see that the business offers training.

Burger restaurant with high-quality ingredients. The smash burger and cheese bacon with goat cheese were delicious, the burger buns were fresh and well-matched. The veggie patty for Reichelt was also impressive. The atmosphere was open and lively, perfect for a casual burger snack with friends. A particularly positive aspect: the nice lady who served us was really friendly and sweet, seemed super professional yet relaxed, and came over to us several times like a shot to ask if everything was okay.

Yes, I can definitely recommend the Bochum branch of Hans im Glück. Our family has been coming here regularly for years. We've always found a table. We've always received a friendly welcome. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating to us and our children. Our two boys have always felt at home here and love the food. The selection is good, the food comes super quickly, and if you don't expect anything other than burgers and fries, there's something for everyone. I have a few favorite versions of the Burger King, with meat or vegetarian options, and I personally think the sweet potato fries are great. Even compared to other branches of the chain, the Bochum version is highly recommended! I deducted a star because the place is really packed. I've never seen so many people there... so maybe it's not necessary.

The Bermuda Triangle was so crowded that we walked down Kortum Street and truly hit the jackpot. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, an interesting location, and very good burgers. And the value for money was absolutely spot on. We'll definitely be back.

Originally, we were always very satisfied and had ordered from Hans im Glück many times. When we placed an order via Uber Eats today, Hans im Glück contacted us to say that the courier would take longer and therefore the food would be remade, and asked if we would cover the costs (see attached image). 1 hour later, the food arrived and was cold. So cold, in fact, that it was definitely not remade, even though they promised it would be. We as end consumers have nothing to do with the reliability or punctuality of the couriers, and Hans im Glück must ensure that the food arrives warm. Otherwise, they must contact Uber Eats or the courier. Contacting us as customers and asking if we would cover the costs is unfortunately very disrespectful, and in the future, we will carefully consider eating or ordering there again.

I don't know... I don't think I'll be back.... I've been to several Hans im Glück restaurants and I find the ambiance, as here, simply fantastic! The reception and service were incredibly friendly and attentive. Impeccable. But is it getting more crowded? My companion had a huge wall lamp behind her and couldn't lean against anything, and it was so crowded at the table that everyone had to get up if someone wanted to leave. The burger was actually disappointing for me; the burger patties were unfortunately overcooked for all four people at the table. The sauce and the bun were all okay, but the main thing was grilled to pieces. For all four guests. The price is really not justified for this taste experience; the really friendly service couldn't make up for it. I thought the sweet potato fries were great!

Very courteous and friendly staff. You can sit outside at tables for two or four. Burger prices are certainly something to argue about. The Billy Goat Burger was very good. A large selection for vegetarians, too. The semi-frozen mascarpone tart with pistachio cream (from a tube) and cookie crumbs was nicely presented and tasted okay, but at almost €9, it was definitely overpriced.

You can't see the restaurant for all the tree trunks. The lighting was also below the "but it's cozy" threshold, and there doesn't seem to be any ventilation at all. The table for 6 people was outrageous. Overall, it was too poor for a run-of-the-mill offering.

You then only get the paddy with lettuce leaves and have to pay the same price. The ambience is visually appealing, but you can hardly have a conversation because it is too loud and the seats are not very comfortable and are too narrow. I had my neighbor hanging on my back several times. We won't come back... What a shame!!!

The service was very friendly and was able to answer all questions. The food came after a short time and tasted good. The toilets are in the basement and can only be reached via trepoons. Since the restaurant is in the pedestrian zone, you have to park somewhere else if you arrive by car. We were satisfied and would like to come back.

A friend ordered, among other things, a salad with a nut dressing. Unfortunately the salad dressing tasted musty, but we also tried the salad and all three had the same impression. We then let you know. Unfortunately, we were only offered a new salad with the same dressing because the employee didn't smell anything unusual... Service is different, we didn't feel taken seriously. We then saved the tip and went out to eat a salad at the competition, which was tasty. Hans im Glück won't see us anymore...

A family with 2 kids were here for lunch. The atmosphere immediately caught our attention and the kids were fascinated with the interiors. The server was very warm and friendly and immediately offered the kids with sketch sheet and colours which was nice. We ordered vegetarian burgers with avacado cream and another with grilled vegetables and kids vegan meal. The burgers were super delicious and the dips were just too good! Very good portion and quite filling. We'd love to go back again and would further recommend.

It's no longer a normal patty made from 100% beef, but rather a flattened meatball, which means there's something mixed in and no longer tastes good. A message from me was replied to with a flat apology and that support would like to contact me for compensation. That was an empty promise.
