Hallerschloss Estiatorio in Nürnberg

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Hallerschloss Estiatorio! The Barbounia fish was cooked to perfection – so juicy and incredibly delicious. The fava was also outstanding, smooth and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and we couldn’t even finish everything. The atmosphere inside is very warm, cozy, and family-like, which makes the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine!

I was there in the summer and the restaurant was very warm inside. There are biergarten outside but fully booked. Tips: reserve before going there. The food was generally okay. The waiter and the boss were very nice. 😉

After a long absence, the four of us were dining in our neighborhood at the Hallerschloss. For starters, we ordered coleslaw and Greek salad. The main courses were the usual Greek-German classics: gyros, calamari and sardines, lamb, and a mixed grill. The salad was fresh, but unfortunately lacking any trace of good olive oil, and the Turkish white bread served was toasted, which was good. Unfortunately, none of the main courses were impressive: the meat quality was subpar, the tzatziki was completely tasteless, the rice was overcooked with a thick tomato sauce, and the gyros was dry and equally tasteless. We haven't had such a bad meal at a Greek restaurant in a long time. After paying the bill (€117, plus my mother added an €8 tip), I dared to ask for a free ouzo for my two parents (every other table around us was served one), after which I had to endure being snubbed by the young, male waitress in the restaurant. That made the decision not to come here again even easier.

An unforgettable evening at Hallerschloss, highly recommended! We went to the Greek restaurant Hallerschloss on Thursday to celebrate my nephew's birthday, and I'm absolutely thrilled! I've rarely eaten so well; every dish was a delight, freshly prepared, and presented with love. I'd especially like to highlight the warm and exceptionally attentive service. A lady with dark hair and glasses looked after us throughout the evening, and she was simply fantastic! Friendly, professional, and with an eye for every detail, she played a key role in making us feel completely at home. As a special highlight, we were treated to a glass of ouzo on the house at the end—non-alcoholic for my 15-year-old nephew, of course :), and everyone even got a free dessert. A gesture you don't see very often these days. The ambiance was also fantastic; sitting outside in the beer garden in beautiful weather, under shady trees, rounded off the whole experience perfectly. A huge thank you for this wonderful evening; we'll definitely be back! The Hallerschloss is a real jewel in Nuremberg

Come hungry, leave happy. The slogan is absolutely apt, a visit to Nikos is always a pleasure! But it's not just the kitchen that's excellent, the staff is always very friendly and in a good mood! We always like to come back!

We sat here for an hour and 15 minutes for nothing and then left without eating anything. A complete waste of time. Very poorly organized. They said a maximum of 30 minutes. We asked three times. And then, after the third announcement was also ignored, we left very frustrated and hungry...

I have been a satisfied guest here for many years. There is good food at fair prices in the Hallerschloss. The staff is very friendly and takes great care of the guests' well-being. The atmosphere in the guest room is very cozy and you immediately feel at home here. The food is very tasty. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.

Small, cozy restaurant, "corner pub" type with a small outdoor area in the warmer months. Not a "08/15 Greek", but a great selection of Greek and local Cretan specialties (don't worry, there are also delicious gyros... :-) ), quickly served by very friendly, unobtrusive staff. We have been there a few times now and have always been very satisfied - recommended!

Very nice, small restaurant. My husband and I are only in Nuremberg for a concert and wanted to grab something quick to eat beforehand. Although everything was actually reserved, we still got a table that wasn't reserved until 7 p.m. The waitress was very friendly, brought us the cards straight away and then quickly took the order. The portions were more than generous and the taste was really very good. The ambience is not to our taste, but as long as the food and the staff are as good as here, I can safely ignore the ambience. Especially since in many restaurants you would have been sent away immediately as unknown guests if everything had been reserved. We would definitely like to come back if we were to be in Nuremberg again.

The food there has always been expensive, but at least it was tasty. But now the prices have risen significantly again, which is really outrageous. I wanted to close the card and leave. My wife and I were there last time.

The food tasted very good, very good value for money. The waiters are friendly. The tables should be cleared more quickly when the guests have left. They were only cleared away several times when new guests arrived. And the waiters had nothing to do before.... But you still have to be able to improve.... All in all, a good restaurant.

Location wasn't great. Ordered a table for 5 p.m. and upon arrival the table was cleaned with dirty rags. You clean the tables before the customer sits down at the table and disinfect them too! The customer is king is the be-all and end-all! I don't know it any other way! And friendliness comes first too! Service was the last! Unfriendly at its finest! Staff was not the least bit professional as it should be! Never this location again! Then we took a taxi to the other Greek guy and it was awesome I have about 150 restaurant reviews and I think I know what I'm talking about, I've never had such bad staff! We were already leaving then they wanted to throw us out 😜 hahaha 😁

We have been coming to Hallerschloß regularly for years and have always been extremely satisfied. There is real authentic Cretan cuisine here that I have never found anywhere else in Germany. The prices are absolutely fine considering that there are no ready-made meals on the plate anywhere and everything is freshly prepared. The service is always courteous and quick. If you want to have a good evening you should come here! In summer you can also sit in the small, cozy garden.

Good food, nice staff, well, Nuremberg pub. For my Conditions (live on the Country) isn't exactly very cheap, but that's just how it is when you go out to eat in Nuremberg

We have been to the Hallerschloss several times and have always been very satisfied despite the slightly higher prices. This time we were very disappointed. The portions were very small, the prices have risen extremely and are no longer reasonable. In addition, the moussaka was dry and out of the micro. At least the service was very quick and friendly. We won't go there anymore because the price/performance is no longer right.

We haven't eaten such bad food in a long time. And the prices are really far too high for that (€22 for a gyros plate - even at the kebab shop you're better off).

I went to the restaurant based on a recommendation and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. The food was at best mediocre, but quite expensive. Considering that only one other table was occupied when we ordered, it took a long time for the food to arrive. The location is quite noisy due to the street, the seating in the outdoor area is a bit too narrow, so you can hardly sit at tables one behind the other...

Very attentive staff and anyone who knows Cretan cuisine will love it. Fresh ingredients and very good olive oil make this restaurant what it is. In addition, the price/performance ratio is right. We always have a fixed appointment when we are in Nuremberg for the trade fair. Anyone who knows and loves Crete will immediately feel at home there.

I had lost sight of the place for the last few years and this week I finally visited it again. The food was great, the staff was super friendly, only the terrace is right on the main street, so a star deduction for ambience. All in all top and also recommended. Oh and I have to highlight the souvlaki skewer, the meat was extremely tender. Thank you!

Wir hatten einen Tisch zum frühestmöglichen Termin reserviert und konnten uns dann entscheiden. Ob wir im Freien oder im Inneren sitzen wollten. Da das Wetter gepasst hat und der Terrassenbereich sehr schön gestaltet ist, haben wir uns für außen entschieden und das nicht bereuth. Das Essen wurde zügig serviert und war sehr gut. Ebenso ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für uns sehr gut. Die beiden Jungs vom Service waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

I was totally surprised that there was such a nice little beer garden right on a busy main street. I found it very comfortable, with the many plants and the large parasol you can sit well protected. The service was very friendly, the food (lunch) came quickly and was reasonably priced. Yes, it could perhaps have been presented a little nicer, but it was very good. 👍. I will definitely eat there again.

Near the Meistersingerhalle... ... we looked for a restaurant and of course also looked at the reviews. The recommendations were very helpful and turned out well. We had reserved a table at the earliest possible date and were then able to decide. Whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. Since the weather was right and the terrace area was beautifully designed, we decided to go outside and didn't regret it. The food was served quickly and was very good. The price-performance ratio is also very good for us. The two service guys were very friendly and accommodating.

Good Greek with solid food. At Hallerschloss you will not be disappointed in terms of quality or taste. It could almost be four stars but it's very expensive. Of course this is more or less generally the case in the catering industry, but €19.90 for Gyros Calamares fries feels like a lot. But you can't do anything wrong if you go to the Hallerschloss if you're a good Greek.

Our parents took us to Haller Castle when we were little. You have been our regular Greek in Nuremberg for almost 25 years. No matter what time of day, the gyros are always fresh and juicy, the garlic bread is one of the best I've ever eaten and other dishes like the warm starter platter or the classic German Wiener Schnitzel are always excellent. Great cozy beer garden and always good service.

We have ordered a glass vine(0.2eur) in menu and on the bill price of the wine was 8.5 eur so we rejected to pay and called POLICE then they accepted their fault and changed the bill as you see on pictures. Don’t recommend this restaurant for anybody, also food quality was so poor.

Don’t waste your time to eat for original Greek salad for 13 eur it’s tamato salad guys! And price on bill not the same like in menu. Don’t give them to steal your money! Sorry

We have often been guests at the Hallerschloss and, despite the delicious food, we will not visit the restaurant again in the future. The young male service worker reprimanded us this evening because of our little Havapoo and thus spoiled our entire evening. The restaurant was only half full and our table neighbors were very fond of the young dog - but the dog was still a nuisance because it was apparently not close enough to our table. Contrary to what the waitress expected, the dog was lying next to the table and not under it. There was no longer any trace of Mediterranean hospitality towards everything small and sweet. We therefore advise all dog owners who see their dog as a family member to avoid this location. A pity!

The service is top, good selection of dishes with a changing weekly menu. Average taste. However, there is no relationship between price and performance.

A completely normal Greek with anything but normal prices. €17.90 for a portion of gyros with fries and a really small side salad. There were five of us and we had different meals, all of which were too expensive in our opinion. The food was generally good but I don't see any unique selling point or significant difference that justifies the price difference to other Greek restaurants (even in the extended catchment area). Attached to the hand-corrected menu, it was also clear that not only had the VAT tax increase not been added recently... We won't come anymore.

Top restaurant! Authentically Cretan and not the usual ouzo plate. If you really want to eat well and like the feeling of Crete, this is the right place for you. Keep it up!

It was our first time here - and we will definitely come back. Delicious food, good wine and friendly service!

Overall, unfortunately very disappointing… Four of us were in the restaurant on a Thursday evening, which was moderately busy at the time. We had already been there a few weeks before and were actually satisfied. The first surprise appeared with the menu: all prices on the menu were crudely painted over and increased by a flat rate of €2. This means that standard dishes cost around €20! The service was overwhelmed and wanted to bring the loveless salad a total of 3 times, probably because the waiting time for our dish was extremely long. The taste was OK, but it wasn't visually appealing, nor was the ambience there. Unfortunately we won't be coming back and can't recommend it.

Ein positiv ungewöhnlicher Grieche mit sehr feinem Essen. Unser Essen war von der Tages- oder Wochenkarte und war sehr fein. Die gewohnten griechischen Gerichte gibt es auch, aber zu unserer Freude eben auch etwas anderes. Wir kommen wieder.

Kleines aber feines, griechisches Restaurant mit lieben Servicekräften. Das Essen ist eines der Besten (Griechischen) in ganz Nürnberg. Noch nie habe ich so gute Okraschoten als Vorspeise gegessen. Preise sind der guten Qualität entsprechend. Außerdem sind sie hundefreundlich und somit auf unserer Favoriten-Liste.

Die Speisen, Zutaten, Zubereitung und Sachkunde der Köchin / des Kochs sind WOW; dies ist ein Kommentar meines Mannes, der lange als Koch in unterschiedlichen Restaurants unterschiedlicher Nationalitäten tätig war und der mit einem sehr hohen Anspruch unterwegs ist :-) Der Service ist super; souverän, freundlich und vermittelt den Eindruck, dass er seine Gäste schätzt und sich freut, wenn diese sich freuen. Das. Ambiente ist schlicht, rustikal und ehrlich. Dafür 5 Sterne. Wenn alle Tische belegt sind, bewirkt die Akustik im Raum, dass es super laut wird, was zwischendurch etwas anstrengend für die Ohren sein kann. Daher insgesamt für das Ambiente 3 Sterne. Auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert!

Obwohl direkt an der Hauptstraße gelegen, war es indem, durch eine Hecke angetrennten Außenbereich vergleichsweise ruhig und gemütlich. Essen (Gyros) war ganz OK aber jetzt auch nicht herausragend.
